The Adventurer System

For no good reason, Amiya hid the letter that was sent to her brother. By just looking at every aspect, there's no problem with the letter also it's a good opportunity for Yumiro. So what was the point of hiding it?

On the other hand, Yumiro felt a bit strange about the setting with his sister. So it can't be helped to ask what was wrong?

First, he looked at her. Then it took a few seconds before he initiated a conversation.

"Amiya... I did something wrong for you to get mad?"

Amiya flinched in confusion while shaking her head and hand at the same time. "No, no, no, brother Yumiro. I'm not mad about you, I'm just stressed about something."

"Can I ask what is it? As I noticed, you're carrying a big problem?" He responded and rubbed his wrist. Since Amiya's nails scratch him.

She cheerfully smiled while positioning her brother in his always place. "No, brother Yumiro. You shouldn't know about it, okay?"

He slowly nodded even he wasn't agreed with her words. "O-Okay? But let me know if you need someone to talk to." He rubbed her hand, so Amiya could feel comfortable.

"Of course, you're the only one who I can tell about my problems."

On the desk, were two food of bowls and a laptop that positioned where Amiya was. Next to it, was an anti-radiation eyeglass.

In Yumiro's mind, he thought his sister was still making all her school activities.

"You need some rest, Amiya. Don't force yourself too much. I know you have a vast dream, but I don't think you're alive if that day comes." He chuckled as he wanted to change the ambiance of this place.

She laughed but at the same time was shocked. Seeing her brother that could spit some joke. "Hahaha, brother Yumiro. You're so mean." She paused for a moment and added. "How's the game, Brother?"

She was slowly chewing her food, yet her eyes were rolling around. As she wasn't felt uneasy to ask about it.

"Hmm-- I had an expedition inside the Barlane dungeon. I want to strengthen myself before the Guild selection." He said in a low voice.

Not to mention, Amiya seemed still didn't know about the notification that system released earlier. More likely, she was truly busy with school works.

"Is that so... Nice choice! But I think it is slightly difficult with your current level. I suggested to pick a strong party member, also the trusty one." She suggested, then couldn't be helped to stare at the laptop screen for a long time.

"Hehe, I don't need many of them." He replied nonchalantly and asked her. "How about you? How's your day?"

"It's not good, I need to early leave the VR game because my classmate informed me that we need to pass our introduction." She explained with a weak tone.

After those words, the conversation was stopped. As Yumiro noticed Amiya needed a lot of time to her laptop. So too wouldn't distract her, he just ate his food.

On the other hand, Amiya searched the name Arashki Tusei on the web. 'What the precious man like him, inviting my brother? Or it's just a wrong letter?'

She shook her head, as she knew it was an impossible idea. Since the name, Yumiro Gritz was indicated inside of it.

'No, it's the well-planned message. I should hide it in the meantime until I figured it out.' She uttered to her mind.

On the other day, Yumiro woke up in the early morning to prepare himself for their expedition.

To begin with, he stretched his arms and widely yawned. "Ahh! That's a great nap."

However, he discovered tremendous on his back. Or to be exact, it was his spinal cord that ripped apart. That was the exact pain once you described it.

He loudly groaned and moaned, nevertheless, no one responded. "Amiya! Amiya! Please help me!"

The muscles on his back were crumpled and coldness entering on his bones. "How it could be? W-Why this time?"

Yumiro was savvy that the reason behind this was his condition. Unexpectedly, he saw the time on the wall clock was exactly 7:30 am. On top of that, a yellow sticky note was plastered on his black VR helmet. 

[Brother Yumiro, sorry to not wake you up because this is the first time I could see that sleep like this. However, before you play please eat and take your medicine. I'm leaving.]

Yumiro read all the context inside the sticky note. Yet, his forehead was knitted as the severe pain could not pass off.

He hardly clasped to the comforter, hoping this pain disappeared and didn't give him a hard time.

Moreover, it seemed this was the reason that didn't get his doctor for over a month. Not because he doesn't like it, he just didn't want to add more to their expenses.

His body was started to shiver, and all of sudden, he couldn't move his right arm. Which made him freaked out.

"Shit! What's going on! Someone, please help me--"

Yumiro vision was being vague, then his narrow whiskey eyes were closing little by little.

Bam!

[9:00 am]

On the same date, Yumiro opened his eyes, and luckily all the pains he felt earlier had vanished.

"No, what is happening to me? Don't tell me, my condition getting worst day by day." Yumiro sharply sighed, knowing that thing was possible.

At this point, the only thing he could do was to get the item he was needed. Just to cure his real body.

He could move again his right arm, but he knew it will happen again sooner or later. Also, it could attack him even he was inside the game that probably would be difficult for him.

"Shhh... This is my life now, the only thing I can do is to accept this fact. I need to keep continue." Yumiro grinned, then prepare for himself for the new day.

[11:00 am]

It's worse than he thought, "Damn it, I'm the one who insists we need to be early but look at me now. I'm totally late for 3 hours." 

He scratched the back of his head, then reclined back his back on the wall. "I should go, for now, this is embarrassing."

To wouldn't spend so much time, Yumiro wore the VR helmet and clicked the green button.

Swoosh!

After were few moments, he appeared next to the bookshelf. At first, he slowly opened up his eyes, to check the precise location of Hippie.

"What?"

Something different appeared, seeing Hippie's character was still leaning on the bookshelf that positioned to the other side.

"She's still not coming back? What she's doing right now?" He wondered since he was late, yet he wasn't got mad about it.

Swoosh!

But just a few seconds, Hippie has arrived at the scene.

Yumiro was narrowly looking at her, "Look at this woman, she's in hurry."

Hippie was glancing around, thinking Grim already leave the place. So without thinking too much, she ran towards the portal, planning to predict where's Grim entered.

"T-This annoying!" She yelled as she was confused with circumstance. "Grim, probably scolded me, b-but I have a good reason."

Yumiro just watching her and noticed something about her. She was started to cry for no good reason.

"Why she's crying?" He felt guilt, so he called her screen name. "Hey, Hippie. What are you going there?"

Hippie whirled around and took a glance at him along with her teary eyes. "Grim..." She hurriedly dash at him, then kneeled to the ground. 

"Grim! Grim! Please forgive! I didn't mean to be late, there's just an emergency that came up! I'm really sorry!" She begged as she didn't want to lose this opportunity.

"Eh?" Yumiro was startled with a reaction and didn't realised he barely frowned his brows.

"I'm sorry, my grandmother suddenly called me? I know it's an important expedition, but I can't just let it."

For Grim it was a valid reason, however, he didn't too much care about it. "No worries, I also arrived here."

She lifted her head with confused eyes. "What do you mean by that, Grim?" She asked.

"Are you deaf? I said I'm just here for two minutes." He calmly responded while hearing multiple steps on the entrance.

Hippe hastily pushed herself into a stood-up position, then patted some dust that plastered on her knees.

"Why don't you say it earlier, so I didn't need to kneel in front of you." She had an uneasy smile on her face.

"You never ask me, isn't it?" He replied, then spread his left arm as he was warning Hippie for the next occurrence that might happen.

He was intuition was right, besides Hippie there were another 5 adventurers who achieved this plan.

"How do they get manage to reach here? The bridge was already destroyed." He mumbled, then withdraw his Kariki knife.

Boom!

As expected, a massive explosion transpired as the adventurer there use their main to destroy the gate.

Behind the smoke, Malik's party has arrived.
