The Adventurer System

Yumiro forcefully swallowed the medicines, then followed up with plenties of water. So he couldn't throw up all of them.

"Day by day my life is getting worse every time I'm taking these itchy medicines." He paused for a seconds after he remembered the extreme pain not too long ago. "I should keep it in the meantime. I don't want to make any trouble."

Afterward, he used his strength to get back on his bed and leaned his back on the wall that had a mild cold temperature. 

He took a deep breath while hoping Yuki and Chirla were still there. "Hays, I didn't attain any accomplishment in the VR world. I wish in this update, would change everything." He sharply breathes out.

[9:30 am] [June 1, 2034]

Next to him was the black VR helmet. To wouldn't waste any amount of time, Yumiro wore the console and clicked the green button.

Swoosh!

A strong distorted white light shook his head. It can't be helped to close their eyes while passing his mind through the portal.

If you use your observant eyes, you could tell that there's a modification in the logging duration.

It took a few moments. Before Yumiro could open again his red eyes. "Jeez, the pain isn't the same." He said and took a glance at the multiple screens that appeared in front of him.

[Welcome to the Adventurer System 2.0! You would like to see the changes? Yes/ No.]

Yumiro sighed with relief and noticed the two NPC's were taking their meal at the luxurious table. And next to them was Asarki that teleported the same as him.

"Thanks, God! I can stop my mind now from thinking." He mumbled, then started to read all the changes.

To begin with, he accepted the terms and agreements. So the new tabs flashed on his eyes.

[Update 2.0]

- New map and dungeon are released.

- New monster's classification and we have deleted the strength of the monster that basis on the screen name colors since we noticed the abnormality buffed of the monsters. (For the compensation you'll receive 500 gold coins.)

[You want to claim the rewards? Yes/No.]

"Yes!"

[You've received 500 gold coins and +1 synergy stone!]

[Remaining gold: 650 gold coins.]

"It's so cool. I already have 500 gold coins income without taking the profit from the monster's core we collected."

After he spits those words, an elevated screen kept popping in front of him.

- We recognize the player became reckless fighting the monsters and adventurers. So we modify the pain you'll receive certain damage. To be exact, the damage you'd get is the same as the real human.

Once you stabbed you felt the depth penetration of the knife inside your body. It's like cutting your flesh while feeling extreme coldness all over your body.

He blinking in his confusion. Because even him realized that he was being reckless in his all expeditions. Knowing the pain that you received from damage wasn't that kind of a big deal.

"I agree with this update. By feeling the same pain, I can analyze the thing inside my head. On top of that, I can avoid the unexpected worst-case scenario that might happen." He mumbled.

However, this was a huge update. So already expecting new more screen will appear. By reading the context of the screen, Yumiro felt that he was starting again from the bottom. Yet, the difference was he was not the only one since all the adventurers were also needed to getting used to these modifications.

- We noticed the lots getting from the monsters and dungeon suddenly decreased. So we decided to delete all the past dungeons and replaced them with settings.

- New monsters in all-tier are already released.  We would like to keep hidden so we can avoid leaking useful information from them. The most important thing, the system would never give any kind of information to those adventurers who received their zexels. That's means, once a certain adventurer reached level 11. Their adventure will start from gathering and finding some information that would help you to grow as an adventurer.

Yumiro clicked his tongue loudly. Enough reason to attract the scrutiny of the two NPC's and adventurers that were inside the room.

"This frustrating, really frustrating. I'm not playing this game for a month. So I am still not familiar with the monsters are here." He scratched the back of his head and added. "I'll do some research later. I must not leave behind by the others."

On the other hand, Chirla and Yuki moved their faces closer to Grim. As they noticed Grim was dumbfounded for no good reason.

"Brother Grim, you and sister Asarki fought? Because of you doing the same thing." Yuki asked, then lay her head on Grim's chest.

Behind her was Chirla that slowly nodded her head. As she agreed on what Yuki asked them. "Yeah, yeah. Both of you slept on this bed for 2 days. So, what is the reason why both of you didn't talk to each other."

He took off his glance at the screen. He then gradually patted Yuki's silky black hair. "What are you guys are thinking? We haven't had any fights. We're just analyzing something."

As expected the two NPC's were clueless about the changes that happened in this world. Even the setting of the place or the details of all furniture inside this room were turned into a colorful one.

"Is that so, Brother Grim?" Yuki wanted assurance from him.

He nodded, then mildly smile at her. "Of course, Yuki. You're still a little girl so don't think too much about the adult's matter, okay?"

Yuki just rubbed her face on his chest while having a delighted expression. "Yes, brother Grim. I believe in you."

Chirla understood the situation. So she made a distance and said. "Adventure Grim, do you want some time to spend off? Because it seemed there's something came up."

Yumiro nodded at her. "Yes, please bring Yuki somewhere. Inventory."

Wing!

A new tone was discovered after he opened the inventory function. Also, it had a lot of details about the items inside.

"Ohh... This is nice." He mumbled, then took 10 gold coins. "Here, Chirla. Bring Yuki somewhere and treat her delicious food."

Chirla shook her head along with her fur hands. "No, adventurer Grim. I can't accept this, it's too much. Also, I have still plenties gold here that you gave it to me."

The cold coins slid inside Chirla's front pocket. And the sound of coins crumbling was heard by her strong hearing sense.

"Take it. No other excuses, just obey what I say." Yumiro said with a serious tone.

At this point, Chirla couldn't do anything just accepted his offer. "Okay, adventurer Grim." She cheerfully responded and lifted her head to Yuki. "Let's go, Yuki. Adventurer Grim needed some time. He'll be happy if we leave in the meantime, also, I'll buy your favorite vanilla ice cream."

After were moments. Yuki accepted Chirla's offer as she understood Grim was doing a favor for her.

"Brother Grim, I'll bring some ice cream once we came back." She turned and said. "Also, you sister Asarki. Goodbye!"

Both of them completely left the luxury room. So Grim continued reading the update.

- All the skill points could convert into a new skill. 4 skill points turned into a basic skill, 7 skill points will become an uncommon skill. 10 skill points would be a rare skill.

- The new map and place are released. We would like this world to become attractive so we made some modifications.

- The system functions are the same. Yet, we just added a new function which is the scan. Where you can determine the exact numbers of the monsters around you. However, it had 2 hours cooldown.

- New quest and arrived. We'll strictly implement that the quest you would get is based on your strength level. To avoid the death scene.

- We already changed the subclass. But, we will officially release the changes on June 20, 2034.

However, there's a lot of update on the screen. Yumiro closed all the tabs as his eyes were attracted to something.

Ding! 

Along with a dinging sound a colorful screen appeared. It showed the big event that will happen on June 2, 2034.

-It will happen at the end of the month. So the adventurers could use the medications.

- 10,000,000 gold coins.

Yumiro grinned as he was glad at this update. He took a glance at Asarki, but he saw that she was anxious.

"Eh? She's not happy with this? This is a win-win situation for all of us." He said and walked towards her. "Hey, what's your problem?"

Asarki glared at him. She then smashed her magic staff on Yumiro's head.

Swish!

"Ouch!" Tears formed in the corner of his eyes, as the pain was really something. "What's your problem, huh?! Are you of your mind?!"

"I'm late, I didn't practice my class. This is because of you. I need this guild selection."

Yumiro smirked. "Don't worry, you'll be fine.. Just stick with me."
