The Adventurer System

Inside the luxury room, some adventurers had been gathered. Asarki looking at Grim with an anxious expression on her face. As she can't stop her mind from thinking that she could fail the Guild selection.

"You can rely on me in this event. You'll be my support." Grim confidently said, then sat next to her.

However, Asarki uncontrollably shook her head. Since Grim couldn't get her point.

"I know you're strong enough individually and even in a party. But, how about me? How I can pass the individual evaluation? If I still can't utilize some of my cleric's skills?" She lay her head on the transparent glass while scratching her hair.

She's right, the guild selection isn't just pointing how good you're at a party expedition. And also, they're trying to see how you'll dominate with your own ability.

He smoothly rubbed his chin, then looked at her. "Why are you worried, Asarki? You've possessed by a useful zexel. On top of that, you have the speed to cast your healing skill either a buff skill in a short time.

At the beginning of Asarki career in the VR world. She chose to become a rogue class, however, as time goes by, she figured out this class wasn't the right class for her. So to improve herself as an adventurer and also to maximize her zexel. She decided to change the rogue class into Cleric.

In exchange, her mana and healing skills were affected. Yet, there was still a good side as she had outstanding that the other Cleric couldn't do.

She lifted her head and showed her beautiful bright face. "I guessed, you're right, Grim." She said and added. "I didn't expect even you've bad attitude. You could still spit some encouraging words."

He gritted his teeth and stood up as he planning to leave this place. "You also have a bad mouth, Asarki. I'm off, reminisce your failure for the guild selection tomorrow."

Afterward, Yumiro walked towards the high-tech door. Where do you need to have a passcode before you could enter.

"Hey, you're so mean!" Asarki exclaimed, then followed Grim on his way. "Wai for a second, where are you going? You just came here and you want me to take care again of Yuki?"

He frowned his brows, then coldly looking at Asarki's face. "I'll head outside to try something. Don't worry I'll be back here in a short time."

And all of a sudden, Asarki slapped her back and couldn't help for Grim bent his body.

"Then, I'll go with you! I want to try this new update." She said.

Some tears formed in the corner of his eyes. "Ouch! What are you doing?" Grim said in a high tone as he was shocked by this pain.

Asarki placed her soft hand on her mouth. "Oh, I'm sorry, Grim. I already forgot about this update." She chuckled and opened the door for him. "Come on, let's stroll around in this new world."

Luckily, because of the big update, Yumiro avoids being surrounded by adventurers. As they were busy getting used to all modifications.

Outside, adventurers were nowhere to be found beside the NPC's stuff that was strolling around.

"Grim, where did you plan to go?" Asarki asked her in a low voice.

"I'm not sure, but I want to see the whole place and at the same time I want to fight other monsters. To check if what the changes within them." He responded nonchalantly and leave the Belle's hotel at once.

But on the other hand, Asarki bothered for no good reason. As she felt heavy while she was attaining closer distance with Grim. So to check with her eyes, she secretly used her zexel.

Then suddenly, Asarki stepped back as she saw overwhelming dark mana all over Grim's body. She didn't know the main reason, but she had an idea this man came up with something. 

'Shit! What happened to Grim inside the Barlane dungeon? I could see some souls...' She uttered to her mind and suddenly flinched as Grim asked her.

"What's the matter? You look pale and your swear forming in your temple." Yumiro said what he observed.

Asarki looked at her reflection on the polished metal inside the elevator. Grim was right, there was tension on her face. So she just shook her head and said.

"Nothing, Grim. I'm just thinking about something. You don't need to be worried."

Even Grim was looking straightforward. He still threw another question. "Is that so...? Then why you used your zexel a while ago?"

'Oh, crap! Why he noticed it... I forgot Grim had strong senses.' She sharply breathed out.

At this point, Asarki couldn't do anything just to say the truth. She uncomfortably chuckled, then reclined her back.

"I'm sorry, Grim. I just noticed there are big changes to your aura." She bowed her head to sincerely apologize.

It caught Yumiro's scrutiny so he asked her once more. "Changes with my aura? Can you tell it specifically?"

"Your magic power that given incredibly high. On top of that, I could see the pureness of it. The main question here is, how do you get the overwhelming dark mana in your body?"

Yumiro knitted his forehead, as he obviously had no idea what Asarki spitting out of her mouth.

"Eh? What are you talking about?" Yumiro said in a low voice, then glimpsed at her with serious eyes.

"I'm talking about the soul. I didn't know if it must be your new item or your skills." She replied with a weak tone.

Ding!

But all of a sudden, their conversation was ended after they reached their designated floor. Aside from that, there was a young woman that looking at them curiously.

Yumiro easily recognized the woman standing in front of them. It was Hippie that holding a big brown pouch.

"Grim, it looked like you're having a serious conversation with your wife. I should be back in another time." Hippie said, then turned around.

"Who the hell are you?! What are you saying? I'm not her wife!" Asarki approached her.

"How many times do I need to tell that this woman is not my wife." Yumiro annoyingly uttered and added. "Why you came here?"

She gently rubbed her head. "I'm sorry to say that. I just didn't know how I'm going to approach both of you. By the way, I'm Hippie Grim's party member inside the Barlane dungeon."

Asarki and Grim stepped out, then Asarki asked her. "It doesn't matter, Hippie. Answer his question, why are you here?"

"I-I'll just surrender that gold coins we accumulated in our previous expedition." She replied and turned to Grim's side. "Grim, this is our income."

As soon as Hippie placed the big brown pouch on marble ground. Sound of numerous golds coins that crumbling perceived by their ears.

"Hippie, don't tell me that you carried this big pouch all the way here?" Yumiro said it because she sweat-soaked on her white dress.

Hippie nodded without making any second thought. "Yes, Grim. What is the problem?" She asked.

Yumiro sighed with disappointment. "Are you completely dumb, Hippie? You can place it inside your inventory so you don't need to carry it." He explained.

Asarki was watching them and at the same time, she discovered Hippie and Grim seemed close to each other.

'Hmm... What happened in this two inside the Barlane dungeon.' She said to her mind as she couldn't stop thinking these two had an affair.

Hippie nodded once again. "Yes, Grim. I'm aware of that. But, I don't want you to think that I kept some of these gold coins. So I thought, it's way more better if I brought that pouch in that state."

Yumiro understood what she said. He waved his hands. "Yeah, forget about it. But, how much gold we earned?"

Hippie was started to get excited as based on the pouch appearance you could there were a lot of gold coins inside.

"You will never believe, Grim. But, we earned 150,00 gold coins!" She cheerfully said.

Asarki's eyelids were widened, knowing Grim still had some core inside her inventory. "That so big, Grim."

"Yeah, I know it." He replied calmly, then ordered Hippie. "As what we plan, take the 75,000 gold coins."

"Thank you so much, Grim. I couldn't get it if I were not with you." Hippie said.

"I know..." Asarki murmured.

"What is it, Asarki?" Hippie asked while looking at her with clueless eyes.

She chuckled. "Nothing, don't mind what I say, Hippie."

It took few moments after they finished contributing their income. "It's done. Asarki, you're next exchange all our cores that we get in the Dungeon Castle."

Asarki couldn't do anything just agreed with him. "Yes, Grim..."

On the other hand, Yumiro decided to find new monsters in this place. To check if they improve or not. Also, he wanted to know if there are changes in his movement after the update of the Adventurer System 2.0
