The Adventurer System

Premium Guards were roaming around the Adventurer's stadium. To stop the Dark guild to destroy this big event.

Yet, Sature knew the dark guild wouldn't attack this kind of place where all the high-level guild leaders gathered in one place.

He moved towards the man who had green hair, an average physique, and wearing a black suit.

"Cross, did you find any suspicious in this place?" Sature asked him in a low voice.

Cross came closer to him, then he barely bowed his head. To show his respect for the first premium guard.

"As of now, we couldn't see any suspicious at the Capital." Cross replied with Sature's question and added. "What do you want me to do, Mr. Sature?"

He slowly shook his head. "Nothing. Just continue roaming the Capital. Once you see there's an adventurer who looks suspicious don't hesitate to hold it. And reported it to me."

Cross stood up straight, then strongly placed his right hand on his left chest. "Yes, Mr. Sature. I'll tell it to the others! And also, you can guarantee the Capital is already safe with us."

"I hope so..." Sature said, then turned at the side where the other guards were positioned. "Guard all the sections! The entrance and exit! We must do our job properly!" They ordered them at once.

Back in the vast stadium, a beautiful woman had brown hair worriedly glancing her eyes all over the place. As he didn't see the man she was looking for for a while.

"Shit! Grim where are you exactly?!" Asarki angrily said.

Not to mention, Hippie tried to use the system function to contact him continuously. But the problem was, she couldn't connect with Grim because he was still offline.

"Hippie, keep watching your screen and tell me if Grim is online in the VR world." Asarki ordered her hastily.

Hippie nodded her head while her sweat slowly dripping on her temple. "Yes, Asarki." She followed her orders without any hesitation and eventually thought of a new idea. "Asarki, do you've personal contact information with Grim in the real world. I can log out for now, and back here once I contact here."

She slowly shook her head. "I didn't know him personally. Besides, no one could know who's Grim Draigh even all the wealthy inventors wants to invite him."

Hippie slowly rubbed her chin, as came up in her mind Grim Draigh was still an unknown adventurer. So sharply exhaled and said. "Now you said it, you're right. We can't do anything about it until he's online again.

Gino tap the microphone twice, then stood up in the high portion of the place. Where all the other adventurers were perfectly saw him.

The whole stadium became lively as the audience extremely cheering the participants for this year.

"We're in the small guild, but I want to recruit a new member here!"

At the stadium, the place was loaded with high-level adventurers and low-level adventurers.

In the Guild selection, must be the adventurer was level 20 up to level 30 to be eligible in this event. However, once you reach level 31 you can never join with it, and the only chance you could have to join in a certain guild was the personal invite.

"Calm down, adventurers. Let me say the mechanics of this game, so we can start the heated battle between the participants." Gino exclaimed and eventually explained the mechanics of this game.

In the Guild selection, the game where the participants competing is called "5v5 valor". In this type of event, the matchup is 5 versus 5, they were battling each other without any time limit. Who'll the group remains standing would declare as a winner.

"Everyone, understand the simple mechanic, isn't it? But I know you find it boring once you just saw it battling straightforwardly. So I decided to add some spice to this event!" Gino yelled and his voice echoed in the entire place. 

To add some twist in this event, each fight will be having a different place. So the adventurers could use their creativity and flexibility to stand out in a place you just saw once.

On top of that, for selecting the fighting place we'll use a spinning wheel to randomly pick the place. But, don't worry if you get to die. You're still in the safe zone, which means no account would be permanently deleted in the VR world.

Once the fighting place is selected. The 5 participants will be given 10 minutes to make a strategy.

"What you could say in our event, adventurers? Exciting, isn't it?" Gino asked the audience while having widely smiled on his face. 

As expected, the audience surely likes how the event precisely works. So they were got wild again, at the same time, eager to start the 5v5 valor immediately.

"Calm down, calm down, Adventurers. We're giving the participants 30 minutes to choose their teammates. So I were you, get your popcorn as we having a long fight today!"

Some of the premium guards entered the stadium. To watch the adventurers that had the intention to destroy this lively party. While the other adventurers had business used this opportunity to earn a penny. As they started to sell any kind of food that probably would be like by the audience.

"We've popcorn here!"

On the other side, Hippie and Asarki were relieved as the preparation would take 30 minutes before it officially started. The bad thing here, if they were the ones who will fight first.

"Asarki, Grim is online," Hippie called her in a low voice.

Asarki towards Hippie, she then took a glance at the screen. And didn't have any care even the adventurers were busy looking for their teammates.

"Finally! Hurry calm him. He should be here in 10 minutes." Asarki ordered her, and also started to loosen the tensions on her body.

She nodded, then immediately used the system function to contact him.

Ring... Ring... Ring...

Continuous ring heard by their ears. Moreover, they were hoping Grim would answer this call.

[Great! You're connected with Grim Draigh!]

After the notification, a mini screen appeared not too far away from them. Hippie and Asarki saw Grim's head and his background was the blue sky. Based on his movements and the establishment around here, Grim was slowly walking in the Adventure Capital.

"Grim, where are you?! The guild selection will start in more or less 25 minutes. You should come here--" Hippie paused for a second after Grim knitted his forehead in pain. "What's going on, Grim?"

"Don't worry about me, Hippie. I'll be there in a minute, I just need to go somewhere first." Yumiro said in a weak tone and added. "Where's Asarki? She's there?"

Hippie slowly nodded her head, but at the same time, knowing there was something strange about him.

"Yes! She's here, we're waiting for you here for a very long time." She replied with an uneasy expression on her face.

Yumiro forced him to chuckle. "Hehe, Okay. I'll be there."

After those words, Yumiro ended the call while Asarki looked so worried about him.

"Hippie, G-Grim is so pale. What happened to him?" Asarki knew this was the only time, Grim entered the VR world. That means the pain he felt not came from the monsters, probably it was from the real world.

Hippie shook her head while staring at her with her clueless eyes. "I don't have any idea, one thing I'm sure he's pain." She said in a low voice. "Why I go after here, so we can sure he could safely arrive here?" She suggested.

"No, it's impossible. The premium guards will not let you unless you give up with the guild selection." Asarki answered her worriedly.

Hippie took a glance at the skies and asked herself. "Grim... What's going on...?"

Yumiro used the wall to assist his body from continuing to move. He then forced himself to entered the high establishment.

"Fuck! My body is all in pain. Why did that pain attack me all of sudden?"

In the morning, Yumiro early prepared himself for the Guild selection. Yet the worst experience always happened when an important came up.

To be exact, severe pain in his back and slowly crawling up to his head he experience. At that point, Yumiro secretly cried until he passed out.

When he woke up, he thought the pain would disappear. Hence, it was still there but not that painful as the first one. 

Even though he has a hazy vision, Yumiro knew that he was late from the guild selection. So he hurriedly wore the VR helmet and clicked the green button.

At the exact time, Yumiro saw the middle-aged man that had blonded hair. It was Karmlito that gladly saw him back in his shop.

"Adventurer Grim, what I can do for you?" Karmlito asked him while forming a gold sign in his eyes.

"Give me mask and robe, make it quick. I'm in a hurry!"
