The Adventurer System

Chapter 206 - Challenge

In the vast stadium, the audiences were getting wild after seeing the heated battle from Wex's and Cyrus' party.

"That's the fight should be!"

"Wex, we're looking at your group until the end."

"Cyrus! Don't look down at yourself! Your party showed a good fight that let us think that you already claim the victory!"

The place was enveloped by the extreme comments of the audience.

"Wooh! What a good fight, adventurers! That's our first match, but it almost looks like the final match!" Gino said and his voice echoed in the entire stadium.

"Captain Kaijin, did you see any premising adventurers?" Alison asked the man who seriously looking at the blue viewscreen.

Kaijin slowly rubbing his chin, then took a glance at the beautiful woman behind him. "I like the aggressive behavior of Wex. Still, we must see some of his fights.." He said in a casual tone.

Alison nodded at him, "I'll put on that on the mark, Captain Kaijin." She attempted to step back but Kaijin had one more question for her.

"Alison, how's the task I given to you?" He said in a low voice that no one could hear to their conversation.

She nodded once again. "Yes, Captain Kaijin. The next match would be Grim's party."

"That's good. You can back, for now, I'll just seriously watch the next match." Kaijin said, then placed his hands under his chin.

...

On the other side, Hippie and Asarki didn't stop themselves from kept moving. As the next battle was their group.

"What we needed to do? I can't accept if we lose in the first stage of the Guild selection." Hippie worriedly said while strolling around that caught the other participants'.

"What is the strategy that could work out in this fight? It becomes a hard match since we don't have any tank that'll absorb the attacks." Asarki mumbling and looking at the vast platform in front of them.

Nevertheless, Grim was looking at them nonchalantly. "Why don't you calm yourselves first?"

"Grim, what is our strategy in this fight? We must win this one!" Hippie said, then moved closer to him.

However, Yumiro didn't answer his question as the woman wearing a blue robe approached them.

"The Asarki's group should be on the platform right now." The woman had the white rabbit said to Asarki.

Asarki nodded her head at her, she then sharply exhaled. "In a minute." She turned around and invited her members to step up on the stage. "Grim and Hippie, let's go! The match will be started at any moment."

Asarki followed the woman. Then after were moments three of them standing in the middle of the stage.

"The next fight between Naito's group and Asarki's group would be started in any minute. Stay in your seat and let's see the skill of our participants--" Gino suddenly paused for a second as he saw there were just three members in the Asarki group.

Gino was looking at his behind. And asked the man holding a folder. "Vino, what's going on there? Why that group had just three members."

Vino uncomfortably rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry I didn't tell you, Sir Gino. But, there are two adventurers back out from the Guild selection. And the main reason Asarki's group couldn't fill their members."

Gino stood up out of his soothing soft chair. "Why you didn't tell it much earlier? So we can pull two more adventurers that participating on the second day." He angrily responded.

Vino deeply bowed his head. "Sorry, sir Vino. Let me find two adventurers that are willing to join them." He suggested.

Gino shook his head, "Stop it, Vino. Do you think someone would join them if they see their opponents are looking tough? We will continue this, the event shouldn't stop in the small mistake like this.

Gino changed his expression into a joyful one. "Oi! Oi! Oi! Look Asarki's group they just had three members! It seems this match-up would become more interesting!"

As expected from the crowd, someone disagreed with the 3v5 match. Since they also noticed Asarki's party had just two women members and one man. That made to have a big disadvantage.

"You can join in the next day! You don't need to push yourselves to continue this fight if you're just three of you will fight!"

"Back out now before your Naito smashes all your heads!"

"We come here to watch a heated match! Not just a one-sided battle."

On the other hand, Shira also disagreed with the next match. As she thought no matter how strong they were, still, no one could defeat in a group that consisted of different classes.

"They should stop the fight," Shira said in a polite tone. "What can you say about it, Valerie."

"I don't care who groups will win. I just come here for one adventurer." Valerie responded and raised her feet on the table.

Shira frowned her brows. "Hmm... You didn't see? none of Asarki's group possessed by high magical power? So you could guarantee the other group will take the victory."

Valerie aggressively looking at her. "I already said. I don't care who groups will win, so if really bothered by this match. You should complain to the event organizers, not to me."

Next to them, Night licked his keen black knife. "The match is interesting! If someone stop them I would kill them, gigigi!" Night laughed wasn't ordinary.

Gino heard the guild leaders' conversation. So he gritted his teeth and can't be helped to personally ask Asarki's party.

From the high ground, Gino directly landed on the ground.

Bam!

He then walked towards Asarki. "You're the group leader here, isn't it?" Gino talked to the beautiful woman.

Asarki nodded her head at him. "I think so... How I can do for you, sir Gino?"

"I'm here to ask you if you're going to continue the match? Or find two new members." Gino asked her and added. "Don't worry if you refuse, we can jump to the next battle."

'Continue the match, Asarki. I'll withdraw if you find two new members.' Yumiro used the system function to send his message to Asarki.

The wide smile of Asarki and Hippie have easily faded away. "N-No, we'll continue the match, sir Gino."

Hippie could do was just deeply sighed as in a short time she discovered Grim avoiding have an interaction with the other adventurer.

"Are you sure about this? Once I declare that you accepted the match. We'll automatically start." Gino clarified at her, so we could avoid a problem that might happen.

"Yes, sir Gino. We're are sure." Asarki replied with a polite tone.

Gino slowly nodded his head while looking at the man who wore a mask. "Hmm... If that's your group decision let's get started!"

Swoosh!

It took a few moments until Gino got back in his position. "Asarki's group agreed to continue the fight. So the happen will start after 5 minutes." Gino said to the audience, he then leaned his back on his soft chair.

"That man? Who is he? Don't tell me, that's the adventurer that Alison wanted to see how to fight?" He shook his head as he didn't see something interesting to him. "No, he was just an adventurer who loved to buy expensive items."

...

Hippie, Asarki, and Grim were looking at each other.

"Grim, you're the one who decided to fight in 3v5 so tell us what's your plan?" Asarki asked him with a weak tone.

Hippie agreed with her. "Yeah, Grim. You should make a strategic plan to win this fight."

Yumiro chortled. "I don't think if this plan or not. Both of you want to hear it?"

Asarki glared at him, nevertheless, she decided to calm herself since at the very beginning Grim couldn't make any logical plan.

"Tell us what is it?! We don't have any time to spend here."

Yumiro rubbed his chin. "I want to continue this fight to get the attention of all the guild leaders. On top of that, just both of you we'll make the attack to this match, so you can take the spotlight."

"Why do you mean, Grim? You're not helping us?" Hippie asked.

"Not necessarily, I'll help you once I see you can't with the match. Once we get the guild leaders' attention, three of us could guarantee the spot in one guild." He explained to them.

"You're trying to say? We'll join in the same guild?" Asarki said.

"Of course, dumbass. Just like what I said. So at this point, our spot in those guilds will depend on the skill will you show in this fight." He talked more than usual. "To be honest, just both of you took my respect. So, I think it's better for me if I come along with you."

Yumiro left his position while the woman on his behind were having reddened faces. "Hippie, do you hear what he say, right?"

Hippie nodded at her. "Yes, I heard it. This is the first time I hear to say those words..."

"Me too, Hippie."

...

On the other side, Naito's party was looking down at them.

"Leader Naito, we can assure our victory. Haiss... I thought we can have an interesting match, but sir Gino gave us a useless match."
