The Adventurer System

In an instant, a tremendous explosion transpired in the Vampire's mansion. It was strong enough to destroy the entire place and push him back. So he quickly left his position and went towards Asarki to protect her.

The continuous explosion was occurring in the mansion. The whole palace shook and crumbled. However, the magical explosion was protecting the mansion it had just multiple cracks and wrecked all the antique items inside.

Asarki and Grim were enveloped by the thick dark smoke, nevertheless, he was relieved knowing that he already annihilated the mythical beasts.

"Finally, I just need to kill the dungeon boss and it's all over." He seated, then reclined his back on the pillar.

Asarki was not still recovered from the damage, she received from those monsters. It seemed they will stay in this place in the meantime. Also, Grim was almost depleted of his fatigue and health power so it was way better if he wait for her to regain her consciousness.

He scratched the back of his head as he felt embarrassed by the words he was said earlier. He admitted that he was touched by Asarki's words hence he didn't take that he was said louder.

"That's embarrassing... Why did I let her hear those words." He muttered and slowly closed his eyes. Of course, he used the [Heat] skill to determine if there's a monster that would approach them.

One hour had easily passed, Grim regained seventy-five percent of his status also didn't realize that he fell asleep and Asarki was the one who awakened him.

"G-Grim, are you okay?" Asarki said with a sweet tone, obviously, still wasn't in the good condition to continue this expedition.

To begin with, he slowly opened his eyes and saw the beautiful woman attain closer distance to him. He wasn't shocked by this occurrence, he was just informed that he was awakened.

"What did you say?" He asked her as he didn't fully hear her.

"Are you okay, Grim? Let me heal you." She suggested even though she hadn't been in her original state.

Grim shook his head and refused. "Don't mind me, Asarki, I'm better now. Also, you should rest so we can continue our expedition." He said in a deep tone.

She was looking around, spotted the corpse of the mythical beasts. "W-Wait, do you kill them all?" She stuttered and conscience as she was sleeping when Grim fighting those monsters.

"I apologize, Grim, I couldn't help you with those monsters. Now I know that my level of fighting and being a cleric in this expedition isn't that good." Unexpectedly, she bowed her head.

Grim chuckled, "What are you doing, Asarki? Hahaha! You never acted like that, isn't it?" He said those words to change the ambiance of the place and added. "Also, you're a big help to this in this expedition. You, Hippie, Chirla, and Yuki had their own strength so don't lower yourself."

At first, she got pissed off after Grim laughed, however, the things were changed when he encouraged her. In her opinion, this man was not the Grim Draigh that she met in the dungeon castle.

"Grim, why are you being like this?" She was really confused so she asked for it.

He frowned his brows and was clueless about the situation. "What do you mean by that, Asarki?"

"You're being sweet to me and started to encourage me every time I'm making a mistake. That's not I'm not happy that you have changed, I'm just wondering..." She said along with a reddened face.

Grim now understood what she was trying to say as he admitted that he changed how he interacted with this woman. 'Hmm... How I can explain this?' He uttered to his mind.

With her expression and how Asarki acted in front of him, he was well savvy that she would not stop if she didn't get the proper answer.

"I didn't know how I'm trying to explain this. But I believe that I'm already trusting you that's why I'm doing this." He said with a deep tone.

Yet, she wasn't satisfied with those answers. "Eh? It's required to show bad behavior if you're not trusting someone? Sorry for this question, but I would like to understand you." She said and covered her mouth as Grim could misinterpret what she said.

"For me? Yes, first of all, if I didn't show my bad behavior I couldn't tell if you are going to stay or not. Also, I'm aware of what I have done to you and all the harsh words I said to you." And all of a sudden, Grim bowed his head and added. "I sincerely apologize, Asarki." He narrowly lifted his head and cheerfully smiled at her.

Swoop!

In an instant, Asarki was stopped as she felt someone arrow her chest. This was the first time she saw Grim smile at her and wasn't hiding anything.

She was blinking her eyes in confusion, can't be helped to weaken as she slowly fell to the ground. At the same time, couldn't how she was responded to him as Grim's face was the only one she could see.

'What's happening to me? Why my heart is beating so fast?' She said while slowly rubbing her chest to calm herself.

Their arms were touching to each other but for Grim, it was just ordinary since it was the only they could rest.

After a few were moments. She took a deep to clear her mind and calm herself. "Grim, one last thing, can I ask you one question?"

He took a glance at her, then gave his nod. "Okay, what is it?"

"When we are in the Draven Sea, your little sister said something that always reminds me. She said, try to understand you, and it might be one day you will tell the reason. I'm not forcing you to answer, if that's a personal matter you can't answer it." She said, narrowly looking at the brick wall in front of her.

Grim just raised his shoulders as he thought Amiya was anticipating this woman to stay with his side. "Are you sure you want to hear it? It will be a long story, still want to hear?"

She nodded her head along with her persuasive eyes. "Please, Grim, I would like it if you say it."

Yumiro slowly pushed himself into a stood up position and introduce his true name to her. "I'm Yumiro Gritz, Asarki, and this is my story."

"Yumiro Gritz?"

Introducing his true name could give her an idea of who really Grim was. Well, Asarki was looked familiar with that name but could not remember it until Grim tell all the story.

He was started with his favorite sport and the world contest he joined. Moreover, he told about the catastrophe that happened in his life and the current situation of his body in the real world.

Asarki was moved closer to him with teary eyes, alas, finally remembered that man's name since that name talked about worldwide since it was not a normal incident.

"Don't tell me you're the young man who assaulted four years ago?" Asarki asked him, knowing that this man was being crippled.

He nodded his head at her. "Yes, so I apologize for what I have done to you. It's just hard to trust someone and I am bothered if someone was moving closer to me or standing next to me." He explained.

Aside from that, the name Yumiro Gritz was popular before as he always received the gold medal or championship every time he participated in the contest.

He gave his hand at her, then assisted her into a stood-up position. "Come on, Asarki, let's finish our quest. So you can receive your first title in the virtual game."

Asarki accepted his invitation as she also gave her hand to him. "Yes, Grim, but this time I'll do my job better."

The adventurers gathered in the vampire's mansion strengthen their bonds as party raid members. Also, they took the upstairs to fight the dungeon boss.

He placed his hand on the door and said.. "Come on, Asarki, let's end this monster real quick."
