Nick spent the next week in his residence cultivating peacefully only barely noticing the amount of qi increasing incrementally over time. at first the increase was so small that it was barely noticeable but then after a day it doubled then tripled before stopping at quadrupling. the amount of qi had reached a level that even normal people began to notice the change and plants and animals started to grow stronger in droves immediately changing the balance of the world as livestock began to revolt and normal plants developed new and strange abilities. at the end of this one week period the world had officially entered the age of qi. nick opened his eyes and was surprised to find that his cultivation had been further unsealed to the peak of origin core which also allowed nick to us his laws even if only slightly. standing up nick noticed that the qi in the air was four times thicker than before he started this last round of cultivation which made him realize he should figure out what he missed. going up the stairs to the entrance to his residence nick opened the door to find three different sets of people waiting out side.
The first group was bellania and her father along with some guards , the second set was the young man from before and an unknown elderly man while the last was the king himself with a young child and a posse of guards. "it seems I'm quite popular huh." nick joked when he saw the crowd of people outside his door which draw all of their attentions towards him. the first person to speak is none other than the king "we have been trying to get ahold of you for the past three days what in the heavens were you doing?!" he yelled questioningly at nick. nick frowned "well if you must know i was training which requires my full focus so you'll excuse me if i wasn't available." he said coldly. everyone was stunned at what nick said since they had no clue how anyone could train so long without a break. "its been an entire week though?" the king made the shared confusion known. nick scoffed "so , at my tier its normal to train for an entire month with stopping much less a week." he said honestly.
Everyone there s.u.c.k.e.d in a breath as they thought about how far the world would have fallen if nick didn't show up for an entire month. "honestly though what could be so important that all of you would need my help?" nick asked curiously. "mutants have been stringing up everywhere and most of our livestock has rebelled against us so the entire human race is on the verge of starvation since we don't know whats safe to eat or not anymore!" bellania said panicked. nick was stunned at this news since he had only cultivated for a week and the entire world was imploding when he finally stopped. "not every edible plant turned into a mutant right?" nick asked seriously. bellania was taken back by the question "well no but..." she started before nick cut her off "then how is the human race on the verge of starvation?" he asked seriously.
