The Fallen Consort

The next day. Elder Zhen sent the servant to Yi Ling's inn. He didn't mention what it was about, so Yi Ling decided to go to the Crown Prince palace with Linyu and The Viridis in tow.

Elder Zhen greeted them when they came in.

"Doctor Yi, you've arrived. Please this way!" he motioned them to follow him.

"The Crown Prince was able to stabilized his powers quicker then I anticipated."

"I expected that much. No matter, I have some matters to talk to him." Yi Ling wanted to start her plans. She knew better than to delay.

The Crown Prince was sitting in the garden. He was drinking his morning tea as he waited for his new master. He couldn't wait to avenge her mother and for himself. Xiang Ren had to go. Seeing four figures coming here, he stood up from his chair and greeted the newcomers.

"Master!" He cupped his fist and bowed.

"En, I see that you're do doing well. I take it that you're ready." Yi Ling sat down on the chair in front of Xiang He.

Xiang He ordered drinks for the three, Elder Zhen happily accepted the task. When he got back, the two already finished planning for tonight's events. Yi Ling took a sip of the tea and complimented Elder Zhen.

After Yi Ling and the other two finish their tea, they stood up left. They need to prepare for tonight's events. Xiang He bowed as they left. He then looked at Elder Zhen and told him about the plan.

Two Shadows was sitting up in the tree. They were looking down at an old Manor. It was quite shabby and a little bit torn down. It was guarded by two 5th Ranked Dawning Stage. They were mere ants compared to the two Shadows.

They already scouted area and knew that the target was inside. They both jumped into the air and went to their respective places. They threw vials towards the manor. Loud explosion can be heard, as it made contact.

The two guards panicked and shouted towards the people inside the manor.

"The manor is burning! Quickly! Get out!"

"Master Xiang Ren!! The manor is burning! There are ȧssassins!"

Xiang Ren was the first to get out. His eyes went wide as he observed the fire. Though he got plenty businesses in the Kingdom, this one is one of his businesses that generates a lot of income. It was illegal to do gambling in Xiang Kingdom. His father, the late emperor; made this law. He had never understood why, it was one of the reasons why he wanted to ascend the throne. He would remove this law, for him to be able to generate more money for himself. If only he was born first than his older brother. If only she had met him first, then she would've never died. It was all his brother's fault. He will never stop until he becomes Emperor. He clenched his fist.
