The Fallen Consort

Three more businesses of Xiang Ren was burned down to the ground, during that same night. What infuriated him the most, is that nobody can find the culprit. No matter where they look, they seem to have left no clues behind. Xiang Ren spent the whole night trying to find them. He even used the royal soldiers to find the arsonist.

Despite the hard effort, Xiang Ren didn't have much luck. At first he thought that they were ȧssassins, but then more of his businesses was burned. He couldn't think of anybody that would dare to do such acts. Most of the Ministries we're on his side and the high noble families we're afraid of him.

It's not that he didn't thought of the Crown Prince, but he knew it well that the Crown Prince didn't suspect him at all. The Crown Prince always thought of him as a doting uncle. Xiang Ren was always respectable and diligent towards his nephew. He was almost dying anyways, he wouldn't have enough time to take revenge.

Whoever dared to attack him, he will make them pay. He will not stop until he finds them, he had always killed whoever opposed to him.

Linyu and the Viridis knocked at the door. Yi Ling opened the door and let them in.

"Did you succeed?" she asked bluntly.

"Yes master, we have burned four of his businesses. I ȧssume that he would be looking for the culprit all night." Linyu took off his mask and bowed to Yi Ling.

"En, that would be good. Tomorrow, we will let the whole Kingdom know did the Crown Prince is healed. That way, he will be Focus to Xiang He." Yi Ling smiled and waved for them to leave.

Linyu bowed again and left with the Viridis. He didn't want to disturb his master during her rest time.

The next day, the kingdom once in disorder. The people was in an uproar over two things. Someone dared to target Xiang Ren and the Crown Prince was now healed. They couldn't believe what was happening, it was a miracle. One was being punished by his mistakes and the other was saved by his good heart.

The people always knew that the Crown Prince had a good heart. They have always respected the Xiang family, ever since the late emperor. They had always believed the Crown Prince capabilities, unfortunately he suffered a disease and got him crippled. This is one of the big news that happened inside the Kingdom in recent years. The last one before this, was the death of the Empress. They all knew well how devoted the Emperor was to the Empress. After the Crown Prince incident, luckily the Ministers was able to convince the Emperor to take in concubines. Much to their dismay, the concubines wasn't able to produce any sons.

Some people had lost hope and decided to support Xiang Ren. All of these rumors and how he made himself look good towards the people, was part of the plan of -. Unfortunately a year ago, Xiang Ren who they thought was an angel got slandered by the people who supported the Crown Prince.

After that, Xiang Ren started killing anyone who spread the rumors or slanders his name. This made the people unease and also rethink about - recent acts. What's the rumors true? If not, why was he reacting in such a bad way.

Now that the Crown Prince had healed, the people was enthusiastic. They were even happy that karma had gotten hold of Xiang Ren. The people were now gathering in front of the Crown Prince Palace, they are awaiting the Crown Prince' arrival.

When they arrived, One of the Crown Prince men spread news that the Crown Prince was healed by a doctor from a high-ranked Kingdom. They couldn't believe what they have heard. Why would a doctor from a high-ranked kingdom help such a lowly Prince? And why would such a doctor would visit a lowly kingdom.

These questions we're all on the minds of the people. Only the Crown Prince can answer these questions. Maybe he had such a connection and if he does, he would surely bring the kingdom to new heights. Thinking about this, there were more ever so supported towards the Crown Prince.
