Chapter 17.1 : Shock

“Mistress, you should find Xuanyuan Mo before those people do and then decide what you want to do.”

Lan Ze’s suggestion sounded in her mind.

Duanmu Xi nodded silently and took out the jade pendant carved into the image of a wolf that Xuanyuan Mo had given to her.

It was after an incense stick’s time that Duanmu Xi came walking into a cave holding the wolf shaped pendant.

Inside the cave, Xuanyuan Mo sensed that someone had come into the cave and his eyes flared open, the amber eyes now already turned blood red, terrifying to look at.

“Xuanyuan Mo?”

The brows over Xuanyuan Mo’s frighteningly red eyes creased together.

“Little Xi?”

Xuanyuan Mo turned his eyes and gazed towards the direction that Duanmu Xi was in.

“Your eyes?”

Duanmu Xi looked at that pair of vacant eyes that were not focusing on anything and her heart winced with pain.

“My eyes are fine. They will be fine in a while.”

Xuanyuan Mo held Duanmu Xi in his arms emotionally and breathed in the scent that belonged only to her.

“Little Xi, I missed you…..”

Duanmu Xi’s body tensed up and her hand then patted Xuanyuan Mo on the back comfortingly.

“I’m here.”

“Mistress, don’t let your thoughts get distracted. Those people will be here soon.”

Looking at the two people locked in an embrace, the side of Lan Ze’s mouth tugged and he spoke out in reminder.

“That’s right. Someone wants to kill you and we need to leave this place quickly.” Duanmu Xi immediately snapped back to her senses, and looked at Xuanyuan Mo anxiously.

Xuanyuan Mo’s brows knitted up tightly together and he held Duanmu Xi be the shoulders as he said: “Little Xi, do not panic and hear me out first. No matter what happens later, do not be afraid. Just remember one thing. I will never ever hurt you”

Duanmu Xi’s heart quivered, but she nodded her head lightly.

The moon high up in the sky was now at its roundest and Xuanyuan Mo let out a resounding cry as his body started to change.

In a blink, Xuanyuan Mo had changed…..

[Heavens, what did she just see?]

Duanmu Xi closed her eyes in disbelief and then opened them wide immediately thereafter.

It was a Snow Wolf.
