The little girl in the bed had naturally curly blue hair that just reached past her shoulders, though it seemed to have lost some of its luster from being in the hospital room for so long. Her face was fair, a result of not eating too much junk food. She lay in bed in a hospital gown, her bright blue eyes gazing at him with a hint of confusion and fear.

The nurse next to them introduced Bai's origins to the two of them.

"This is Dr. Bai, our new hospital doctor. He's only 21 years old and a professor of medicine at the University of Tokyo. I'm told he holds other degrees. When Dr. Bai heard about your daughter's condition, he rushed over immediately. If you were to ask who has the best chance of curing your daughter, it would probably be Dr. Bai."

The blue-haired woman's face gradually became delighted when she heard the nurse's introduction, and she quickly stood up and greeted Bai.

"Hello, Doctor Bai, my name is Hiyagawa Nagisa, and the person on the bed is my daughter, Yoshino. Doctor Bai, please help my daughter."

"Don't worry, Ms. Nagisa, I'm here just for this matter. I will try my best regardless of success or failure." Bai said calmly.

He didn't make any promises, because the woman before him was already on the verge of collapse. Even if she appeared healthy on the outside, she was already suffering from a number of illnesses. If she was stimulated by something, she would most likely be completely devastated.

"Let me check her out first." Bai looked at Yoshino lying on the bed.

"Hello, Shion, can you please extend your hand?" Shiro said gently.

Yoshino didn't say anything, but just looked at her mother, and only after seeing her nod did she reach out her hand.

Shiro placed his palm on it, and the originally delicate, boneless, and slightly trembling little hand calmed down. With a gentle smile, he began to check on Yoshino's health.

The energy traveled through her body, revealing no other symptoms besides weakness. After withdrawing the energy, he asked a few more questions, then addressed Yoshino's mother, "Ms. Nagisa, I've confirmed that Yoshino has no other symptoms. She's simply born weak and needs special treatment. I happen to know that method."

Bai's energy checked Yoshino's body and found that it was just congenital weakness. It only needed to be nurtured with spiritual power for a period of time and it would gradually improve.

"Really? Thank you so much, Doctor Bai." Nagisa was surprised, then showed a somewhat embarrassed expression, "Then, Doctor Bai, how much should this treatment cost?"

Seeing Nagisa's embarrassment, Bai smiled and said, "It's okay. I'm also very interested in this situation. Consider it my personal diagnosis. I don't need to charge you any money, and..."

Shiro's gaze turned towards Yoshino.

"Yoshino is a very cute child. I like her too."

"Thank you so much, Doctor Shiro." Nagisa thanked him again, then walked to Yoshino's side, took her hand and said softly, "Yoshino, say thank you to Doctor Shiro."

However, Shion lowered her head, and the expression on her face was not visible. Then a soft and light voice came: "Thank you... Thank you, Doctor Bai."

"Sorry, Dr. Shiro, Yoshino is a little shy." Nagisa said embarrassedly. She didn't expect Yoshino to be so shy in front of Dr. Shiro.

Bai smiled softly: "It's okay, it's actually very cute. You guys should rest first, I still have some things to do."

Then he said to the nurse beside him: "Let's go, I'll go draw up a conditioning plan, you come and help me sort out some things."

The nurse next to her heard Bai calling her and happily followed Bai away.

However, no one noticed that Yoshino lowered her head not because she was shy, but because...

"It's so itchy..." Shion said softly with a slight trembling, a blush on her cheeks.

Chapter 15: Nana and Nia's First Meeting

After walking out of the room, the happy expression on the nurse's face disappeared, replaced by a hint of doubt.

"Doctor Bai, is this really okay? Although their situation is rather special, the hospital has never treated patients for free before. This won't..."

"It's okay, I'll go explain the situation to the dean." Before the nurse could finish her words, Bai interrupted her.

With his current status, the hospital only needs to pay for a ward, and the treatment costs do not need to be paid by the hospital. I believe the dean will not make things difficult for him.

"I'm going to go prepare the treatment supplies first. As for you, please help me find some information about the patients recently so I can understand what diseases are more common in the area."

Shiro had no plans to prepare any conditioning products. Shino's body needed spiritual energy to nourish it, and currently, only Shiro, Mio, and Nia could do that. So, Shiro planned to take care of Shino's body himself every day. Or, he could find a chance to give Shino the spiritual crystal. After it became a spirit, her body would naturally return to normal.

As for getting the patient's information, it was just an excuse to get the nurse away. He already wanted to go back.

"Just put it on my desk when you find it. I'll be busy now." After saying that, he left on his own.

The nurse who stayed behind sighed, "Doctor Bai is so dedicated. He's ready to treat me right after we learned about it. Well, I have to work harder too!" The nurse encouraged herself and went to organize the information.

"The smell of disinfectant in the hospital is really bad." Bai sighed as he walked out of the hospital. He used to be in good health and had not been to the hospital many times, so he could not get used to the strong smell of disinfectant in the hospital.

"Well, what should we do next? Should we go back? Hmm? Wait..." Bai, who was thinking about what to do, suddenly felt something and his figure disappeared.

On the other side, at Bai's home.

"Who are you, woman, and why are you in my house?" The green-haired loli shouted at the gray-haired girl in front of her.

"Oh, your home? I remember this is Bai's home? How did it become your home?" the gray-haired girl asked with interest.

Hearing the gray-haired girl say Bai's name, the green-haired loli's face changed, "Why do you know my brother? Are you the person my brother found to teach me comics?"

"Brother?" The gray-haired girl was stunned when she heard the name, and then a funny smile appeared on her face.

"That's right. I'm the one your brother found to teach you painting. He even sold himself to me just to beg me. I only agreed to teach you out of pity for him, so you should respect me."

"No... Impossible, brother wouldn't do that." The green-haired loli said with disbelief on her face.

"How is it impossible? Otherwise, why would I know Bai's name and call him so affectionately?" The gray-haired girl raised the corners of her mouth more and more, and she seemed to be very happy to see this scene.

Suddenly, "Ouch!" He covered his head and turned away. "Who is it? I didn't see you were busy?"

Then she saw Bai, who had an expressionless face, slapping her with a knife.

"Well, I saw that you haven't come back yet, so I wanted to get familiar with her first. Bai shouldn't blame me, hey~" The gray-haired girl said embarrassedly, followed by an inexplicable laugh.

When the green-haired loli saw Bai's appearance, she trotted over and asked anxiously, "Brother, she said that you sold yourself to her in order to ask her to teach me how to draw comics. Is that true? If that's the case, then I won't learn comics anymore."

Hearing the green-haired loli's anxious question, Bai looked at the gray-haired girl again, with a hint of coldness in his voice.

"Is that how you are familiar with it?"

"Hey, um, um." The gray-haired girl looked a little embarrassed, not knowing what to say. But suddenly her expression changed, and she said with a hint of excitement: "By the way, I can also call you brother. Don't you like being called that? I will call you brother too. Can you let me go this time?"

Bai didn't say anything, just raised his hand silently.

"Ouch, ouch, be gentle, be gentle." After a moment, only the gray-haired girl was left lying on the ground with her clothes a little messy. Bai then took the green-haired loli back to the house.

Looking at the anxious Nanashi in front of him, Bai felt helpless but also a little happy. He didn't expect Nanashi to be so easily deceived by Erya. However, he could also see that Nanashi really cared about him and was willing to give up the things he wanted for him.

"Don't worry, Xiaoqi, she's just lying to you," Bai consoled. "She's the one I hired to teach you how to draw comics. Those comic books I brought back for you were drawn by her. But I didn't sell myself to her. She owed me something, so she had to come."

"I see." After hearing Bai's words, Nanashi felt relieved, but then he showed a pleading expression and said, "Then brother, can you change someone else? I... I don't like her very much."

"It's okay, Erya is just a little naughty, she's not a bad person by nature." Bai felt helpless and didn't know what they had said before they came back.

When Bai was thinking about where to go, he suddenly felt a spatial fluctuation in his home, so he rushed back immediately. However, as soon as he came back, he saw Nanashi's anxious expression and Erya jumping around wildly.

Oh, Erya, since she's gotten into this, let her handle it. Thinking of this, Bai pulled Erya, who was lying in the living room, over.

"Erya, since you have offended Nanashi so much, then you should find a way to make Nanashi agree to let you stay. Otherwise... you know the consequences." Looking at Erya who was still lying on the ground, Bai said with a threatening expression.

When Erya heard this, he stood up and said awkwardly, "I understand, I understand. Leave it to me. But..."

But Erya suddenly showed a somewhat embarrassed expression. "But Bai, please go out first. I have some special methods that I am not willing to let you see."

"Hmm? Okay, Xiaoqi, I'm just outside the door. Just call me if you have any problems." Seeing Erya's look, Bai was a little surprised, but then he walked out anyway.

Seeing Bai walk out, Niya immediately put on his funny smile and looked at Nanashi.

"Your name is Nanashi, right? Then I'll call you Xiaoqi just like Bai."

However, Seven Sins didn't buy her trick.

"No, you better leave quickly."

"Don't be anxious, I have some good stuff here." Erya showed a mysterious expression.

However, Nanashi still shook his head firmly.

"I do not need."

"Oh, really? Don't you want to know what Bai was like before? I have a lot of photos of Bai here. Don't you want to take a look? As long as you agree to let me stay, I can tell you." Erya's expression became more and more funny.

And a look of hesitation appeared on Nanashi's face.

Chapter 16: Erya's Reward

With a click, the door to Nanashi's room opened. Erya puffed out his chest, looking eager to take credit.

"It's done, I think I need a reward!"

"Really?" Bai sneered at the proud Erya in front of him. "Who do you think is responsible for this?"

"But haven't you already punished me? Shouldn't you reward me now?" Erya said as a matter of course.

"Oh, then what reward do you want?" Baimian said expressionlessly.

Hearing Bai's question, Erya didn't care about Bai's expression, but instead showed a silly smile on his delicate face.

"Hey, hey, I want..."

However, before Erya could finish his words, Bai Ge interrupted him.

"Well, I'll owe you that for now."

"Ah, what does that mean?" Erya was a little confused, as if she didn't understand what this sentence meant.

"I'll owe it to you for now. I'm not free right now," Bai Wuxin said to Erya innocently. "I have to work during the day and be busy with other things at night, so I'll owe you the reward for now. I'll cash it in when I'm free."

"You still have to go to work?" Erya looked at Bai in surprise. She had never seen Bai working anywhere before. She saw Bai every time she came home. If he had a job, it would be impossible for him to go home on time every day.

But he seemed to remember what Bai had been doing, and said with some regret: "Okay, I understand, let's talk about it later."

Seeing Erya didn't pursue the matter further, Bai nodded in satisfaction and walked into the house. He knew what reward Erya wanted, and it wasn't that he wasn't willing to accept it. However, he was still busy researching the elves. If he accepted it, he might have some problems with his attitude towards the other elves. It would be better to wait until everything was roughly determined before making a decision.

When he walked into the room, he saw Nanazumi sitting on the bed, lost in thought. He walked over and rubbed Nanazumi's head, then asked Nanazumi, "Xiaoqi, have you guys decided yet?"

Nanashi, who had regained consciousness after being rubbed on the head, heard Bai's question and noticed that Niya was standing at the door with her hands clasped together in a gesture of request. She also made up her mind: "Yes, brother, let her stay. She is very capable. I will learn from her."

Nana's voice sounded a bit flustered, as if because she had deceived Bai. But Bai didn't care. He knew that Niya must have done or said something that interested Nana, otherwise, with Niya's personality, it would be difficult to convince Nana.

"In that case, you two must get along well." Rubbing Nanashi's head again, Bai agreed. "It's almost time. I'm going to go cook first. You two can continue to get acquainted with each other." Then he walked towards the kitchen.

Seeing that Bai had left, Erya moved closer to Nanashi and wanted to reach out and rub Nanashi's head, but Nanashi pushed his hand away.

"Don't be so stingy, Xiao Qi. You let Bai rub you. He and I have such a good relationship. And I saw that he seemed to feel very comfortable when he rubbed you. Let me try it too."

"No!" Nanashi retorted firmly. He had only agreed to let her stay and teach him how to draw comics, and he also wanted to use Bai's past experiences as an exchange. Nanashi would not put her in the same position as Bai.

"Alright, alright, forget it if it doesn't work." Seeing Nanashi's determined look, Niya could only give up with regret. She had seemed so comfortable just now, but in the end, she was only talking to one person.

"Then let me show you what Bai looked like before..."

After dinner, Erya expressed his desire to sleep in the same room with Bai, but was opposed by both Bai and Nanashi. He had no choice but to find a room for himself, but it was very close to Bai.

..........

The next day, Bai came to the hospital and easily found Shion's ward. However, this time when he walked in, he found that Shion's mother was not there. Only Shion was left sitting on the bed reading a comic book. When she noticed Bai coming in, she hurriedly put it away.

Seeing Yoshino's panic, Shiro smiled gently: "It's okay, Yoshino, just keep watching, it won't affect you."

But Yoshino did not continue, instead she hid the comics.

"I'm just here to help Shion recuperate today. I won't delay you from doing other things." Bai walked to Shion's side and said.

"Yoshino, please hold out your hand, just like yesterday."

Yesterday? Shion's face flushed as she thought about what happened yesterday. But she still reached out her hand tremblingly.

"Is this...like this?" She uttered words with a hint of shyness from her pink lips, and she lowered her head so that no one could see her face.

"That's right, Shion is really good." As he said this, he placed his hand on her. Shiro also began to use his spiritual power to warm Shion's body.

After about ten minutes, he stopped sending spiritual energy and asked Yoshino how her body felt.

"It feels... a little itchy... cool... very comfortable..." A trembling voice came from the lowered head, which made Bai think.

Is it a bit itchy, is it the psychic energy flowing through my body? It feels so cool and pleasant? Why is it icy? Does psychic energy have different properties in different people? I remember seeing Yoshino's angel use ice before, and Shiro suspects this is the possibility. But just in case, I'll have to ask Mio and Nia about it when I get back.

"Are there any other feelings?"

"No...no more." Yoshino's slightly flustered voice came.

"...Alright then, Yoshino, rest up first. I'll go get some medicine and have it delivered shortly." Seeing that Yoshino seemed to be holding back on something, Shiro didn't pay much attention. He'd already checked Yoshino's health and found nothing amiss; it was probably just some personal matter.

After saying goodbye to Yoshino, Bai returned to his office in the hospital. As soon as he entered, he found that there was another person inside. After a closer look, it turned out to be the person who asked him to help organize some patient information yesterday.

The nurse was waiting for him here, holding some papers in her hand, which should be the organized information.
