"Yeah, after all, Hokuto Seiji was someone I admired when I was a kid. How do you know that... Have you ever seen that special effects drama?"

"Hmm~" She shook her head, her expression much more relaxed, "It's just that for some reason, I remembered this name and its origin."

"Really?" I stopped talking and looked at the night sky.

I don’t know if it was because of the mention of Hokuto Seiji or the special effects drama I had watched before, but I felt an inexplicable melancholy in my heart again.

"Well..." I said:

"You know, Yehui, when I was a child, I always thought that in the universe, far away from our earth, there was a planet that was always filled with light."

"I have always believed that if you find the brightest star at sunset, you will find the place called the Kingdom of Light."

"I have always believed that in times of despair, helplessness, disaster and all that is bad is upon us, the inhabitants of that country, the giants that appear with light, will hold everything up..."

"But..."

They haven't been there, and as I've gotten older, I've realized that they don't exist.

"Now it seems that the Kingdom of Light and the giant that once supported me no longer exist..."

"No!"

Ye Hui interrupted me excitedly.

"How can you say such things! Doesn't that giant always exist in your heart?!"

"Ye... Hui?" I was stunned for a moment when I saw Ye Hui getting excited for some reason.

"Even though I know that those are all fictional and imaginary things made up by people..." Ye Hui lowered his head and punched my chest with his fist, "But the bravery, justice, and kindness of that giant all exist in your heart..."

"..."

Looking at Ye Hui who was inexplicably excited, for a moment, I suddenly felt that I was wrong...

What's going on... Why did things develop like this... Wait, why does Ye Hui have such a big reaction when talking about special effects dramas...

However, before I could sort out my thoughts, Ye Hui had already calmed down.

"I'm sorry, I was a little excited just now." She gave me an apologetic smile.

"Well, it's okay...but you, it's okay, right?" I was a little worried about Yehui.

"No," Ye Hui shook his head. "I had a great time watching the stars with you today. I wonder when we can watch them again..."

Looking at Ye Hui's somewhat lonely expression, I couldn't help but say to her:

"In fact, there is not only the starry sky, there are many other things to see together..."

After a pause, he said, "We're going to visit some tourist spots tomorrow. Do you want to come with me?"

Although Ye Hui was stunned for a moment after hearing this, he quickly replied:

"I'd love to," a happy smile appeared on his face, "Well, let's look forward to tomorrow's activities!"

"Okay, let's look forward to it together."

I also responded to her with a smile.

..................

The chest seemed to still retain the strength and warmth from being touched by Ye Hui.

Perhaps there are still things in this world that cannot be easily given up.

I couldn't help but think so.

Chapter 1 Ending Postscript and Other Things

Hehehe~ Today, the first chapter of this book is officially over. What? You think the training camp chapter is too short? Please, I didn't say the training camp chapter is over ╮(╯▽╰)╭, so everyone please put down your watermelon knives, gasoline torches, and other dangerous items in your hands and listen to my heartfelt words quietly, okay?

The inspiration for this work comes from my favorite anime "Goodbye, Mr. Despair": What does it mean for a teacher who always says "Despair!" to teach students? It must be very interesting.

So after watching, I also wanted to write something, so I thought: What would happen if students advocate more negative thoughts?

Then, the ones that influenced me the most were Nisio Isin's "Monogatari" series and Watari Watari's "Oregairu".

On the one hand, I like the expression of ideas in Nisio Isin's articles. He uses a lot of words to express the protagonist Araragi Koyomi's thoughts, as well as the "mouth cannon" that is hard to find in reality.

As for the character "Great Teacher" created by Watari, is it because I find resonance with him or because I find him respectable and enviable? I don't know myself, and I don't want to find out, because "it's better to have more people in the world who don't understand why" by Chan Liuzi

In short, with a series of creative ideas but having not yet put them into action, I came across a very powerful classic, yes, it was "No Longer Human".

I came into contact with "No Longer Human" through an animated series called "Blue Literature", and I had the honor of encountering Dazai Osamu's masterpiece.

So, I resolutely added "No Longer Human" to the title of my work. However, these four words do not refer to the book, but to the original meaning of these four words:

“Lost the qualification to be a human being”

Does this book suddenly feel heavy?

However, this work is supposed to be a school-themed story, so the fate of the characters will not be too tragic, don't worry!

In short, thank you all for reading this long postscript and listening to me talk so much.

So, please look forward to what I will write next.

By the way, I will post a few extra chapters from time to time. I hope you will like them and continue to support me.

You don't have to live in the shadows

[Extra Chapter] You Don’t Have to Live in the Shadows

My name is Yehui and I am six years old.

I don’t know why, but my mother and I have been separated for a long time.

I am alone now...in this deserted park late at night, and even though there are street lights, I am still very scared.

Are there bad guys? Are there monsters? It's so dark...will there be ghosts?

I don't know why, but tears welled up in my eyes...

I miss my mom, my dad, my warm little bed, and Kelly, the fat cat who eats and does nothing at home...

"Tap, step, step"

I hear footsteps approaching me... Could they be bad guys? Am I being kidnapped?

"Huh~huh~"

This person was humming a song, but I had never heard of him before. Judging from the sound, he was probably a boy around my age, so there was nothing to be afraid of...

"Hmm~Hmm~Ahhh!"

Maybe he was startled because he suddenly saw me crying under the street light.

And I was scared too, because the mask on his face looked scary in the dim light.

"It's so scary. Who are you and what are you doing here?" he said as he walked towards me.

"I'm...I'm sorry. I...I got separated from my mom...and then I couldn't find the way home...Ugh...your mask is so scary..."

"Eh?! No way! This is a space hero's mask, how can it be scary? Only monsters are scary, right?"

"Huh?" I immediately forgot to cry and took a closer look at his mask. "His eyes look like eggs..."

"So you girls don't understand boys' hobbies, and your aesthetic taste is so bad."

He shook his head with a hint of helplessness.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Oh, about that!" He became excited when the topic was brought up. "I'm here to find the Big Dipper and the Kingdom of Light!"

"What?" I am quite unfamiliar with these two words.

"Ah, because there are too many tall buildings near my home and I can't see much of the night sky, so I ran here to look."

As he said that, he sat next to me.

"Since you can't go back now, I'll fulfill my duty as a hero and protect you until your parents find you!"

"Eh?! Really?!"

I felt at ease.

"Of course, heroes never lie. To be a hero, protecting the weak is a must."

"Thank...thank you." I didn't know how to respond to him.

"You're welcome." He looked up at the night sky, then pointed in a direction: "Look, that's the Big Dipper."

I looked in the direction of his hand, but all I saw was a group of twinkling stars.

"I can't see anything... Aren't they just stars?" I felt very strange.

"Hey...use your imagination. Look, those seven stars over there are arranged in a shape that looks like a spoon, don't they?"

After he said that, I looked carefully again, and it seemed that the stars were really arranged to form the shape of a spoon.

It looks so magical.

"Really? It's so beautiful..."

"Yeah, after all, the name of the human form of the hero I admire is Beidou."

He told me proudly.

"What is a human body?" Another word I don't know.

"That is, heroes generally can't stay on Earth forever. They need to have an identity on Earth, and that identity is their human form. And their human form can't reveal their heroic identity."

Oh...it feels so complicated...it turns out that the boy's world is harder to understand...

"So...what's going on with that country you mentioned earlier?"

"You mean the Land of Light? That's the homeland of heroes. I heard there's no darkness and they're always in the light. And they've always maintained peace in the universe."

"So, did you find it?"

"This...is not available so far."

His tone actually became depressed.

"It's okay...it's okay," I mustered up the courage to say something encouraging to him, "As long as you persist, you will definitely find it."

"..."

He was silent for a moment, then nodded:

"That's true. Giving up isn't what a hero does."

He recovered really quickly... Such a cheerful personality is really enviable...

"Can you tell me my name?" I asked him.

"No, a hero can't tell others his real name."

After saying that, he nodded to himself.

"Really..." I felt a sense of loss in my heart. What happened?

"However, if you are lucky enough to meet my human form in the future, he must love the starry sky, the Big Dipper and the Big Dipper Seiji, and he must be a super handsome hero who insists on searching for the Kingdom of Light."

"Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing your true identity in the future." I said with a smile.

At this moment, a voice calling my name came from a distance.

"I'm here!" I responded and turned to look at him.

At this time, he had left his seat and turned his back to me. His figure looked a little lonely under the dim light.

"Are you leaving?" I asked him, even though I already knew the answer.

"Ah, that's right, because heroes always live in the shadows, where no one knows them."
