Hogwarts Crawler.

The three people who raised their heads blushed a little, but fortunately it was dark and they couldn't see clearly.
Thanks to this awkward moment, none of the three spoke again, and Adam turned to look at the castle with lights on in the distance.
Although he was reluctant to come to Hogwarts before, but when he actually saw the Hogwarts standing on the high ground, Adam still felt excited. It seemed that figures that he had not seen yet but were already very familiar with flashed before his eyes.
Sorry, Grandma, I also think Hogwarts is the best wizarding school in the world.
The ship finally stopped at the pier next to Hogwarts. The freshmen got off the ship one by one and followed Hagrid through the winding path towards Hogwarts Castle.
The gate of the castle was even bigger than Adam had imagined. Hagrid raised his hand as big as a palm fan and knocked on the door a few times. Soon the door was opened, revealing a figure in a dark green robe.
Professor McGonagall who can transform into a cat!
Adam, who is actually a furry lover, remained calm, but he couldn't help but exclaim in his heart, and his hand under his sleeve began to stir.
If he remembered correctly, Professor McGonagall's Animagus was a tabby cat with square eye-frame patterns around its eyes!
Professor McGonagall didn't know that one of the freshmen in front of her was fantasizing about something outrageous. She glanced at the number of freshmen and nodded to Hagrid:
"Thank you for your hard work, Hagrid. Leave the rest to me."
Letting Hagrid pass first, Professor McGonagall led the freshmen through another route to the foyer in front of the auditorium.
"Welcome to Hogwarts, children. You will soon walk through this door and enjoy dinner with your classmates. But before that, you must first go through the Sorting Ceremony to decide which house you will enter."
As soon as the words fell, the students who were waiting for the branch looked at each other in confusion.
Are we going to face a dragon/troll/banshee/vampire next?
When Professor McGonagall saw the looks in the freshmen's eyes, she knew what they were thinking. After all, she had gone through the same thing herself.
My dear, there is more to come after this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. There will be more exciting chapters later!
After coughing a little hard, Professor McGonagall attracted the attention of the freshmen again. After everyone quieted down, she continued to read the instructions.
Yes, she did not tell the freshmen the specific procedures of the upcoming sorting ceremony.
"The Sorting Ceremony will begin in a few minutes. I suggest you take care of yourself while you wait. You will be sorted in front of the entire school."
After leaving these words, Professor McGonagall turned and left.
"It's over, I'm not ready yet!"
A freshman covered his head in pain.
"How on earth am I supposed to last three minutes in front of a dragon?"
"What? Didn't we find the mermaid's treasure in the Black Lake?"
Another freshman took out a bottle from his pocket blankly:
"I even brought some chinweed..."
"But my mother said..."
"My father..."
“My brother…”
"Ah! What is that?!"
With a cry that drowned out other sounds, the freshmen turned their heads and saw a group of pale ghosts whispering to each other flying through the air, then disappearing through the wall.
"Is the Sorting Ceremony different every year, and this year... it's about dealing with ghosts?"
Adam stroked his chin and expressed his opinion.
After the words fell, the hallway was silent for a few seconds, followed by the sound of everyone swallowing saliva.
The entire hall seemed to have lost a lot of heat because of the ghost's passing. Some freshmen turned pale and some trembled slightly.
"Everything is ready now. Line up in single file and follow me."
Professor McGonagall's return injected a new warmth into the entrance hall. She looked at the freshmen who looked unhappy with some confusion, and finally she could only guess that maybe the parents of one of the freshmen had played a joke that was too much and scared the others.
Walking through the auditorium's door and along the aisle between four long tables, Adam quickly glanced at the dishes on both sides.
Roast beef, grilled sausages, roast pumpkin, roast potatoes, steak, lamb chops, roast chicken, bread, chips, Cornish pasties, Yorkshire puddings...
Adam, who owns several restaurants at home, just takes a quick glance and the name and cooking method of each dish naturally emerges in his mind.
Well... at least it looks good. There is no dish like "Looking Up at the Stars". I just don't know how it tastes. I hope the house-elf's cooking skills will not disappoint him.
Chapter 12: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Hufflepuff
After the magic sound of the Sorting Hat's appearance rang through her ears, Professor McGonagall walked to the Sorting Hat's high stool with a piece of parchment in her hand:
"Next, when I call your name, come over, put on the hat, and sit on the stool. The Sorting Hat will assign you to a house."
"Hannah Abbott!"
……
Starting with the future owner of the Leaky Cauldron, one by one, the future pillars of the British wizarding world came forward and were assigned to their respective colleges, and the gears of fate began to turn.
The future Minister of Magic, the future Auror, the future nobleman, the future Herbology professor...
"Adam Reed!"
Adam came to his senses when his name was called, walked forward, picked up the Sorting Hat, put it on, and then sat on the stool.
"Hmm... a natural born Occlumency master? This is the first time I've seen one..."
The Sorting Hat grumbled.
Because of the protective magic, it couldn't even talk to Adam in his consciousness and could only speak in a low voice.
"Occlumency? What's that?"
Adam asked in the same quiet voice.
"Ah, this is a long story to explain. Although I don't mind answering questions for freshmen, I'm afraid the professors won't be willing to give me the time... ahem, I can only say that I probably can't give you a good advice."
Under Professor McGonagall's gaze, the Sorting Hat cleared its throat:
"So, which house do you want to go to? Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, pick one you like~"
"Hufflepuff."
Adam answered decisively.
I love food, I love flowers and plants, I love magical creatures, and I love Hufflepuff!
"Well, now that you've made your choice..."
"Hufflepuff!"
Hufflepuff is the house with the largest number of students, and every new Hufflepuff student who appears will receive the loudest applause from the audience.
Adam came to the Hufflepuff table amid applause and sat down next to the previous freshman.
"Welcome to Hufflepuff!"
The classmates around him greeted him enthusiastically and he responded one by one.
Hufflepuff doesn't have the ambition of Slytherin, the drive of Gryffindor, or the shrewdness of Ravenclaw, but it is the warmest and friendliest house.
They do what they should do, are true to nature, and are honest and enthusiastic.
When you make friends with Hufflepuffs, you basically don't have to worry about them stabbing you in the back. Hufflepuffs, which have the largest number of people and the fewest dark wizards among the four colleges, are worthy of your trust.
After Dumbledore's speech, the dinner began. Adam took a sip of the pumpkin juice and forked a grilled sausage.
Mm~ The shell is baked crispy, the meat inside is tender and juicy, and the seasoning is great too. The black pepper, rosemary and lemon juice perfectly balance the greasy taste of pure meat.
Apart from the fact that the meat itself still had a bit of a fishy smell that had not been removed even after being marinated, Adam commented that it could be served as a signature dish in a restaurant.
Adam tasted the food while listening to the people around him chatting.
"My parents are ordinary people. When they first received the letter, they were very angry and thought it was a prank..."
"My parents are both Hufflepuffs. I will write to them tonight to tell them the good news!"
“Oh wow this Yorkshire pudding smells so good!”
Catching the key words, Adam looked at the Yorkshire puddings on the table, took one and took a sip.
vomit--
Adam put down his Yorkshire pudding with his eyes wide open and drank a sip of pumpkin juice to smooth it over.
The Yorkshire pudding, which had absorbed the juices of roast beef, not only had the aroma of bread and butter, but also had a strong fishy smell. He seemed to have just seen a cow dancing on a pole on the Naihe Bridge with its eyes open...
Why! The grilled sausages tasted normal!
Putting the remaining half of the Yorkshire pudding on the plate, Adam looked at the classmate who said that the Yorkshire pudding was delicious with complicated eyes.
Poor child, his sense of taste is so destroyed.
"Well--"
At this moment, the classmate opposite Adam covered his mouth and groaned, then silently put the thing in his hand aside. Upon closer inspection, it was the Yorkshire pudding that had been bitten.
Adam and he looked at each other.
"Hello, could you please recommend some dishes that you think taste normal?"
The other party's tone was pitiful, and his English had an accent that Adam could hardly distinguish.
Adam looked down at his plate: Yorkshire pudding, beef stew, roast beef, roast lamb chops…
My goodness, this unlucky kid has stepped on every possible landmine.
"If you like meat, this grilled sausage is pretty good. The chicken thigh should taste good too... Yeah, it's really good, but a little dry."
Adam took a bite of the chicken leg and commented,
"In short, stay away from all uncured meat products..."
"Thank you!"
The other party took a bite of the sausage without even cutting it, and almost cried.
It looks funny and pitiful.
"The French fries taste pretty good too. You can try them. If they're too greasy, you can drink some pumpkin juice."
"Mmmmmmm!"
After staring at the sausage and eating it for a while, and then drinking a whole glass of pumpkin juice, he looked up at Adam:
"Thank you, what's your name?"
Although the names of every freshman were called out when they were sorted into houses, obviously no one would remember the names of other students at such a time of excitement.
"Adam Reed, just call me Adam."
"Adam...I'll remember that!"
The other party nodded.
"What about you? What's your name?"
"Uther Ramses."
This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading!
"… Ramses?"
This special last name made Adam couldn't help but look sideways.
"What? Is it the Ramses from Pharaoh Ramses II?"
The classmates standing by asked the question that was in Adam's mind.
"Yes, that's right, but that was many, many years ago. There are no pharaohs now."
Uther shrugged.
Having almost finished eating, Adam decided to join the discussion:
"Then you should be studying at the magic school in Egypt. Why did you come to Hogwarts?"
"Well, I actually found out that I was going to study in England only after I received the letter from Hogwarts. My mother said it might be because I was born in England. She is a Magizoologist and met my father when he was studying the Sphinx in Egypt."
