Volume 18, Chapter 1147: Vanished Without a Trace
The moment the words left his mouth, Su Rui's figure, like a ghost, drifted backward! His cloak left a blurry afterimage in the air! Before Silver Ash could react, he had already silently slid to the open window like a wisp of smoke!
"Wait! Who exactly are you—" SilverAsh suddenly threw off the covers, trying to get out of bed to stop him.
But Su Rui was even faster! He didn't even turn around; he simply flicked his finger casually in Silver Gray's direction—
With a soft "pop," the largest piece of firewood in the fireplace suddenly and unexpectedly burst into a dazzling burst of sparks! It instantly illuminated the entire room and briefly interfered with Silver Grey's vision!
When the sparks fell and Silver Gray looked again, the window was empty! Only the window remained slightly ajar, and the cold night wind, mixed with snowflakes, howled into the room, stirring the low-hanging curtains and the scattered documents on the desk.
Silver stood there, barefoot on the cold floor, letting the wind blow against him. His grey-blue eyes were fixed on the empty window, then slowly moved to the glass on the sofa next to the fireplace, which still had more than half a glass of amber wine left, and... on the low table, the bottle of expensive liquor that had been carelessly opened and the cork not put back in.
After a long while, he slowly walked to the window, reached out, and closed it, shutting out the wind and snow outside. Then, he turned around, walked to the sofa, and picked up the wine glass. The amber liquid in the glass rippled slightly, reflecting the flickering firelight of the fireplace, and also his face, which was now cold, complex, and full of inquiry.
He brought the glass to his nose and took a deep breath. Amidst the strong aroma of the wine, there seemed to be a faint, almost imperceptible, cool and clean scent, seemingly not belonging to this room.
“…Enya…” SilverAsh murmured the name, his grey-blue eyes churning with indescribable emotions. Worry? Guilt? Scheming? Or… a long-lost sense of brotherly affection?
He set down his glass, his gaze once again fixed on the dark, snow-swept night sky outside the window. That mysterious, uninvited guest, those clear, sharp black eyes that remained even in the darkness, that seemingly casual yet profound remark about "Ensia," and… that terrifyingly precise intelligence…
Mind your own business. Don't take trouble... to places where it shouldn't go.
The corners of Silver Gray's mouth curved upwards almost imperceptibly into a cold, self-mocking arc.
It seems that his seemingly detached and aloof sister, who has been away from home for many years, is not truly indifferent to everything down the mountain. Moreover, there seem to be some rather extraordinary figures around her.
The game of chess, which was fraught with conflict at the foot of the mountain, seemed to have been subtly altered by this uninvited "visitor," the information he brought, and... that reminder about "Ensia." No one could have predicted the changes that would have occurred.
Silver Gray slowly walked back to the bedside, but did not lie down immediately. He sat on the edge of the bed, his fingers unconsciously tapping lightly on his knees. His gray-blue eyes flashed, clearly indicating that he was rapidly thinking, weighing options, and... rearranging his plans.
Outside the window, the wind and snow continued. The light in the young master's bedroom of the Shivaish family remained on until dawn.
Meanwhile, atop the holy mountain, inside the monastery.
Yera remained standing silently outside Enya's door, like a statue. Her senses, like the most loyal sentinels, were firmly locked onto the rapidly returning aura from the foot of the mountain. As that aura quietly crossed the last ridge, silently slipped into the monastery grounds, and rapidly approached Enya's room, Yera's tightly closed black eyes slowly opened.
She stepped aside, making way for the door.
Almost at the same time, a figure, carrying the chill of wind and snow yet as light as if it were weightless, appeared silently at the end of the corridor and arrived at the door in the blink of an eye.
Suri (still cloaked) stopped and exchanged a silent glance with Yera. In the moonlight, his dark eyes held a hint of weariness from completing a mission, but mostly a calm. He nodded almost imperceptibly to Yera.
Yera nodded slightly, without asking a single question. She simply reached out and gently pushed open Enya's door.
Suri slipped inside, nimbly closing the door behind him. He quickly removed his snow-covered cloak and outer garment, revealing a thin nightgown underneath, and his large tail, which had been slightly ruffled from activity but was now rapidly regaining its fluffiness. Barefoot, he silently walked to the bedside.
On the bed, Enya remained in her side-lying position, fast asleep, seemingly unaware of everything that had happened that night. However, her brow appeared slightly more relaxed than before she fell asleep, and her arms were a little looser.
Looking at her sleeping face, the complex emotions that had arisen in his heart due to the nighttime intrusion and the "transaction" quietly subsided. He carefully, like a cat returning home after sneaking out to play and afraid of being discovered by its owner, climbed back into bed, very slowly curling himself up in the covers next to Enya, trying not to disturb her.
As he finally lay down, closed his eyes, and prepared to force himself to fall asleep, a slightly cool hand gently and soothingly landed on his head and tenderly stroked it.
Suri froze instantly! It was Yela? She came in?
But he didn't open his eyes or move. He just felt the cool fingertips gently combing his slightly messy silver hair and his furry ears that were slightly perked up due to nervousness.
One touch, two touches… the movements were very light, carrying a silent, unspoken… reassurance and… approval?
After a long while, the hand quietly withdrew. The door was gently closed again, isolating the inside from the outside world.
Suri slowly opened his eyes in the darkness. He turned his head to look at Enya's peaceful sleeping face beside him, then glanced at the closed door.
Finally, he sighed almost imperceptibly, closed his eyes again, buried his head in the soft pillow, and unconsciously curled his tail up to his side.
That night was long and tumultuous. But at least he brought back a message (albeit in a peculiar way), and let that "troublesome SilverAsh" know what he needed to know. Enya... should be able to relax a little now, right?
As for Yera's "deal"... Suri's cheeks flushed slightly in the darkness. He forced himself to stop thinking about it.
Sleepiness finally washed over her like a gentle tide. Just before drifting off to sleep, Suri vaguely thought: Tomorrow... how can I "naturally" mention to Enya that things might... calm down a bit down down there?
Never mind, we'll see when the time comes. Anyway... Yera's around.
Volume 18, Chapter 1148: Nobody Can Find Me
With this vague thought in mind, Suri finally fell into a deep sleep. The wind and snow outside the window seemed to have lessened somewhat. The deepest darkness before dawn was quietly receding.
In the darkest hour before dawn, the Shivaish Manor at the foot of Mount Kjerag, after a sudden, silent "visit," returned to a superficial tranquility. However, beneath this calm, undercurrents surged. The uninvited guest left behind more than just a rejected glass of strong liquor and a few meaningful words; they left behind an invisible breeze that stirred the still waters deep within the manor.
Shortly after Suri (Snow Leopard version) disappeared from the open window of the Silver Gray bedroom like wisps of smoke blending into the night, an even faster, more agile figure, like a female leopard on the hunt, silently appeared at the end of the thickly carpeted corridor on the third floor of the main building, leading to the Silver Gray bedroom.
The newcomer was tall and slender, dressed in a dark, form-fitting outfit that allowed for easy movement, over which she wore leather armor bearing the insignia of the Shiva'ish family. She had short, sleek, fiery red hair that shimmered like metal in the dim light of the corridor lamps. Her face wasn't stunningly beautiful, but it possessed sharp features, a unique charm honed by battle, a blend of wildness and resilience. Most striking were her eyes—vertical pupils like the finest amber, subtly gleaming gold in the darkness, now flashing with a sharp, wary light, constantly scanning every corner of the corridor. Her nostrils twitched slightly, like the most sensitive hunting dogs, catching any unusual scent in the air.
She is the mace, the sharpest and most loyal "sword" and "shield" of the Shiva's family, SilverAsh's most trusted bodyguard and confidante. She possesses superhuman, almost beast-like intuition and perception, especially an almost instinctive sensitivity to danger and unfamiliar presence.
Just moments ago, during her routine night patrol from the watchtower on the outskirts of the manor, she instantly detected an extremely faint yet strangely "fresh" aura, completely unfamiliar to anyone within the manor, like ripples on water! The aura wasn't strong, but it carried a peculiar, clean, and crisp fragrance, almost like the scent of melting snow mixed with pine needles and some kind of clear spring water—completely different from the stuffy odor of burning pine, leather, metal, and various spices that permeated the manor year-round! Moreover, the trajectory of this aura's appearance and movement was extremely strange, as if it appeared out of thin air on the upper floors of the main building, then quickly disappeared, its target… seemingly pointing directly to the patriarch's bedroom!
Jian's heart leaped into her throat! Without the slightest hesitation, she immediately rushed to the main building at top speed, without making a sound. She didn't alert any patrolling guards or trigger any alarms; relying solely on her familiarity with the manor's defense system and her exceptional skills, she moved in stealthily like a shadow.
Standing at the end of the corridor, her amber, vertical pupils scanned everything before her like searchlights. On the carpet, there seemed to be a faint, almost imperceptible trail of footprints, tinged with tiny water droplets (melted snow?), leading from the stairwell all the way to… the doorway of the master bedroom?! And near the door, the crisp, unfamiliar scent had become even clearer!
Jian's pupils contracted sharply! She didn't rush into the bedroom immediately, but instead more cautiously concealed herself in the shadows of the pillars, her muscles taut like a bowstring, entering a state of highest alert. She could hear the very faint sounds of the head of the household getting up and moving around inside the bedroom, and… the soft creak of a window closing.
The head of the family has woken up? And... he doesn't seem to have encountered any danger? Nor did he sound an alarm?
Jian's mind was filled with doubts. She hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to confirm the head of the family's safety first. Like a cheetah before its prey, she crouched low and moved silently to the bedroom door with minimal movement. She didn't knock or barge in; instead, she pressed her ear close to the heavy wooden door and listened intently.
The room was completely silent. The only sounds were the occasional crackling of the firewood in the fireplace, and... a very faint, crisp "ting" sound of glassware gently colliding with a hard object.
The head of the family is... drinking? In the early hours of the morning?
Jian's brows furrowed. This was highly unusual. While the patriarch occasionally enjoyed a drink, he never did so late at night, especially when alone. Moreover, considering the unfamiliar aura and the signs of intrusion…
Just then, the small Originium communicator on her wrist, used for internal emergency communication, emitted an extremely slight vibration. It was a one-way communication request from the head of the family.
Jian answered immediately, but remained absolutely silent, only using his eyes to indicate that he was listening.
From the other end of the communicator came Silver-Gray's distinctive, deep, and calm voice, which at this moment seemed to carry a hint of... weariness and deep thought: "Jian, outside?"
"Yes, Master." Jian responded in a low, hoarse voice, "I've detected an unusual presence. Someone may have infiltrated, and their target might be your bedroom. Are you safe?"
“I’m fine.” SilverAsh replied quickly, his tone calm and revealing little emotion. “No need to be nervous. Just now… there was just a ‘guest’.”
A guest? At this time? In this way? A flicker of disbelief flashed in Jian's amber-colored vertical pupils. What kind of "guest" would bypass the main entrance, evade all guards and vigilance, and directly "visit" the head of the family's bedroom? Moreover, the head of the family seemed... not to intend to pursue the matter? Even... there was a strange... calmness in his tone?
"A guest?" Jian couldn't help but ask, his tone carrying a barely perceptible, instinctive worry and doubt about the safety of the head of the family, typical of a guard. "Should we check the manor to confirm if they have left? Should we increase the level of security?"
“No need.” SilverAsh’s answer was still concise, yet carried an undeniable decisiveness. “He’s already gone. No need to chase or investigate. The alert level… just maintain the status quo.”
Jian fell silent. She had to obey the patriarch's orders. But the doubts and unease in her heart clung to her like vines. That so-called "guest" had left such obvious traces of infiltration and an unfamiliar aura (to her), yet the patriarch treated it so casually, even... intentionally concealing it? What was hidden behind all this?
Volume 18, page 1149: Didn't go where I shouldn't have.
Seemingly sensing Jian's silence and doubt, the silver-gray voice on the other end of the communicator paused, then added in a deeper, and seemingly more...meaningful tone, "Jian, keep an eye out for any similar...'clear' auras appearing around the manor recently, especially in the area near the Holy Mountain. If you find any, don't alarm them, report to me immediately. Also..." He paused, seemingly choosing his words carefully, "...don't mention this 'guest' or the...'news' he brought to anyone for now. Including...Miss Enshia."
When "Miss Encia" was mentioned, SilverAsh's tone seemed to soften almost imperceptibly, but it quickly returned to its icy tone.
"...Yes, Master. I understand," Jian replied in a deep voice. Although she was filled with doubts, as the most loyal guard, she chose to obey unconditionally. Since the Master had said so, he must have his reasons. That mysterious "guest" and the so-called "information" probably involved some deeper secrets or...deals that she couldn't know for the time being.
After ending the call, Jian remained standing in the shadows outside the door, not leaving immediately. Her gaze fell once more on the almost vanished, water-stained footprints on the carpet. She took another deep breath; the crisp, unfamiliar scent in the air, like a clear mountain spring, though extremely faint, still lingered, stimulating her senses.
"A crisp, clean scent..." Jian repeated the description of the silver-gray one to herself, a sharp glint flashing in her amber vertical pupils. She remembered the scent. It was a... very special scent. Clean, cold, yet carrying a hint of... an indescribable, almost wild vitality? Unlike the earthy, chilly scent of snow commonly found in Sherag, and also quite different from the rich perfumes or incense worn by nobles.
Who is the owner of this scent? What did he/she say to the head of the family? What "message" did they bring? Why is the head of the family so cautious, even keeping it from the innocent and kind-hearted Miss Ensia?
Countless questions swirled in Jian's mind. But she knew now was not the time to investigate. She had to carry out the patriarch's orders—to be vigilant, to report, and to keep it secret.
She glanced one last time at the tightly closed bedroom door, as if she could see through the thick wooden planks the head of the household sitting alone in front of the fireplace, perhaps still holding a half-empty glass of liquor, his grey-blue eyes swirling with thoughts.
Then, just as she had appeared, she silently retreated into the shadows of the corridor, disappearing around the corner of the stairs in a few leaps. She needed to immediately arrange for people to subtly strengthen the vigilance and reconnaissance in the direction of the Holy Mountain. At the same time, her own senses would be spread out like an invisible net in the air around the manor, constantly on alert for the reappearance of that "clear" aura.
Inside the bedroom, Silver Grey was indeed awake, just as Jian had suspected. He sat on the sofa by the fireplace, wearing a bathrobe, holding the wine glass that Suri had drunk from, the amber liquid inside swirling slightly. He didn't drink anymore, but simply watched the ripples in the glass, his grey-blue eyes as deep as the sea, reflecting the flickering firelight.
That mysterious uninvited guest... had beast ears, strange skills, a unique aura, and brought information that was frighteningly accurate. His words about "Enya" and "Enshia" before leaving were like a heavy stone thrown into a still lake, stirring up a thousand waves.
Enya… she still cares about the conflict down the mountain, she cares about… this family. At least, she cares about Enshia. Was that mysterious “visitor” sent by Enya? Or… someone connected to Enya? When did such a person appear on the sacred mountain?
SilverAsh's mind raced through various legends and information about the Holy Mountain, the Saintess, and Jeragand. But there was no record or intelligence mentioning such a distinctive, strangely powerful "beast-eared" being.
Unless... it's some kind of "familiar" that has never been recorded and is related to a saint or a god? Or... it's some kind of "assistance" that Enya received on the holy mountain in some unknown way?
This possibility stirred up extremely complex emotions in SilverAsh's heart. There was surprise and doubt that Enya might possess unknown powers, a hint of displeasure at being "monitored" and "warned," but more than that... was an indescribable, complex feeling mixed with worry and... a secret sense of relief.
The fact that Enya sent someone (or a member of her family) to "remind" him at least shows that she was not entirely indifferent to the Shivaish family and to him, her brother. She still cared about Ensia, and... indirectly, about the potential crisis facing the family (the potential schemes of Blantau and Perroch).
The intelligence regarding the other two companies was invaluable. It allowed him to plan ahead, avoid unnecessary losses, and even... gain a more advantageous position in negotiations. This was undoubtedly a timely help.
But the visitor's final warning—"Mind your own business. Don't take trouble...where it shouldn't go."—was like a bucket of cold water poured over SilverAsh's head, which had just become a little feverish from obtaining useful information.
"A place one shouldn't go"...does it refer to the sacred mountain? Or...specifically, the place where Enya is?
This is a clear demarcation. The ambitions and conflicts of the Shivaesh family must not affect the Holy Mountain, nor can they influence Enya. Otherwise... that mysterious and powerful "visitor," and the Holy Mountain's will that he might represent (or perhaps Enya's will), would probably be more than just a simple "reminder."
Silver Grey slowly set down his glass, his fingertips unconsciously tapping the smooth rim. His grey-blue eyes gleamed, reflecting a fierce internal struggle and calculation.
The original plan might need a slight adjustment. At the very least, we must be more cautious in our attitude towards Mount Holy Mountain and Enya. We can no longer use the previous approach of testing and pressuring. The existence of that "visitor" is a powerful signal in itself—Mount Holy Mountain is not a pushover to be easily manipulated.
And... Encia...
Thinking of his simple, kind-hearted sister, who loved and trusted him implicitly, Silver Gray's brow furrowed almost imperceptibly. What was the "visitor" implying by specifically mentioning Encia? Was it a warning not to take advantage of Encia?
A cold, complex smile curved Silverash's lips. He had indeed considered using Encia's naivety and kindness to influence her or achieve certain goals. But now, it seemed that this thought had to be completely abandoned. At least, he couldn't act rashly before figuring out the bottom line of that "visitor" and the Holy Mountain.
Volume 18, Chapter 1150: Meeting Between Families
"It seems... we need to reassess our relationship with the Holy Mountain," SilverAsh muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on the sky outside the window, which was gradually turning a pale white. The snowstorm seemed to have subsided somewhat, but the winter chill remained biting.
He stood up, walked to his desk, picked up a pen, and quickly wrote a few lines on a blank sheet of paper. Then, he folded the paper and placed it in a sealed copper tube bearing the family crest.
"Someone come here," he called softly to the empty room.
Almost the instant he finished speaking, a figure dressed in the uniform of the Shivaesh family guards appeared silently at the doorway, kneeling on one knee.
"Send this to the Holy Mountain Temple of the Holy Maiden as quickly and secretly as possible, and deliver it to Lady Yela. Remember, it must be Lady Yela herself." Silverash handed over the copper tube, his tone calm yet carrying an undeniable authority. "Also, issue the order that the 'exploration team' originally scheduled to go to the Blantau family's territory this morning be postponed. Instead... send formal invitations for talks to the Blantau and Perroch families. The location... will be the neutral council chamber of the Karan Trading Company. The time will be determined by them."
The guard took the copper pipe and replied in a deep voice, "Yes, Master!" Then, his figure disappeared again like a ghost.
SilverAsh sat back down on the sofa, watching the flickering flames in the fireplace, his grey-blue eyes flashing with a cold, rational light. The mysterious "visitor's" nighttime visit was like a pebble thrown into a stagnant pond; while it stirred ripples, it also allowed him to see certain undercurrents beneath the surface. Now, it was his turn to make his move. However, this game, because of the Holy Mountain and the "beast-eared visitor," had become more complex, and...more interesting.
At least, he knew that Enya wasn't alone. This seemed to cause a slight tremor in some corner of his heart. Although, he would never admit it.
Outside the window, the sky was gradually brightening. A new day, accompanied by the lingering chill and new uncertainties, quietly descended upon Sherag. At the summit of the holy mountain, the silver-haired boy who had triggered all these changes was currently nestled in the warm embrace of the saintess, completely unaware of the turmoil he had caused below.
Inside the headquarters of the Kalan Trading Company, in the council hall that blended the ruggedness of Kjerag with the elegance of Victoria, the atmosphere was so heavy it seemed almost palpable. Stained glass windows on the soaring dome, depicting ancient Kjerag legends and mountain landscapes, cast dappled, devoid of warmth in the bleak winter sunlight. A massive, long conference table, carved from a single block of obsidian, stretched across the center of the hall, its gleaming surface reflecting the distinct figures seated on either side.
Today is a formal meeting convened by the three major families of Kjerag—the Shivaish, Blantau, and Perroch—to resolve the escalating dispute over mines and territories. The matter is of great importance; not only are almost all the core members of the three families present, but many of Kjerag's lesser nobles and tribal elders, whether allied with the three or remaining neutral, have also come, either to listen in or to secretly observe the situation. The large council chamber is packed, yet eerily quiet. Only the crackling of the burning wood in the fireplace and the suppressed breathing of the people echo in the empty space, adding to the somber atmosphere.
The Shiva'ash family was led by Silver Grey (Ensiodis Shiva'ash), who sat upright at the head of the long table. His short, silver-grey hair was meticulously styled, and his handsome, cold face was expressionless, save for his deep, grey-blue eyes, which calmly surveyed the entire room with an air of understated authority. Behind him stood several family elders and trusted lieutenants, including a red-haired guard in a tight-fitting outfit with amber-colored vertical pupils who vigilantly scanned the surroundings—Jian. The Shiva'ash family exuded a powerful and unified aura, like a drawn sword, radiating an unassailable sharpness.
On the left side of the long table sat the Brantou family delegation, led by the patriarch—a lean, hawk-like-sharp-eyed, meticulously groomed middle-aged man with a mustache. Most of them wore leather hunting attire suitable for forest activities, their clothes reeking of herbs and saltpeter, their eyes filled with anger over the damage to the woodland and dissatisfaction with the Shivaish family's "greedy" actions. Seated beside the patriarch was a rather young woman, with bright, intelligent eyes and a hint of arrogance; she was the eldest daughter of the Brantou family and a representative of the family's new generation.
To the right of the long table sat the Perroch family. The patriarch, a burly man with a full beard and a booming voice, wore a thick fur coat and resembled a brown bear standing upright, exuding an imposing presence. Behind him, most were also robust, possessing the characteristic boldness and ruggedness of mountain herders, but at this moment, their faces were filled with worry about the potential pollution of water sources and pastures, and indignation at the Shivaish family's "domineering" exploitation practices. Beside the Perroch patriarch sat a taciturn young man with unusually calm eyes—his eldest son.
The three groups sat in their respective seats, and the air between them seemed to crackle with invisible sparks. All eyes frequently drifted to SilverAsh in the main seat, awaiting him, or rather, awaiting the official start of this meeting, which was destined to be anything but peaceful.
However, SilverAsh didn't seem to be in a hurry to speak. He leisurely picked up the exquisite bone china teacup in front of him, took a sip of the steaming black tea, and looked calm, as if he were simply enjoying a leisurely afternoon tea. This unhurried, even somewhat nonchalant, demeanor made the Bulanto and Perroch families across from him feel even more stifled and vaguely uneasy.
On the second floor of the council hall, in an inconspicuous, secluded viewing corridor cleverly separated by heavy brocade curtains and exquisite screens, the atmosphere was completely different from the tense standoff downstairs.
This is the true "core" of the entire meeting, the observer's seat.
Enya, the saintess of Sherag, wore an elegant and dignified white robe. Her long, silvery-white hair was tied back with a simple hair ornament, and a thin veil covered her face, revealing only a pair of clear and calm lake-blue eyes. She sat gracefully on a large armchair covered with soft snow fox fur. On the small table in front of her was a pot of herbal tea with a delicate floral fragrance, and several plates of exquisite, unsweetened Sherag traditional pastries.
Yera, like the most loyal shadow, stood slightly behind Enya. She was still wearing her impeccable maid outfit, her dark eyes lowered, her aura completely concealed, as if she had merged with the surrounding shadows. But if one looked closely, one could see that her gaze, like the most precise instrument, silently scanned everyone in the downstairs hall through the extremely tiny gap deliberately left in the screen, especially Silver Grey, and the red-haired guard behind him—Jian.
Volume 18, Chapter 1151: Cats have no bones.
And on Enya's... lap? Or rather, on that unusually large chaise lounge covered with a thick blanket between Enya and Yera...
Suri (Snow Leopard version) was lying on his side in an extremely languid, even "boneless" posture. He had changed into a relatively formal, yet still loose and comfortable, dark gray velvet robe (also with a tail opening). His silver hair was not casually draped as usual, but loosely tied into a low ponytail at the back of his head with a simple black ribbon, revealing his smooth forehead and his fluffy snow leopard ears, which were slightly alert due to the current situation. His obsidian-like eyes were half-closed, seemingly uninterested in the "grand drama" downstairs that concerned the future of Sherag, his gaze more focused on a small, exquisite brass instrument he was playing with in his hand... something that looked like a combination of a compass and an astrolabe, which he had acquired from somewhere.
His head rested on Enya's soft thigh, his back gently against Yela's firm legs, which leaned slightly forward as she stood. Enya's hand was casually and gently kneading the soft snow leopard ear closest to her. Her fingertips, warm with her body heat and gentle pressure, massaged the base and auricle of the ear, bringing waves of comfortable, tingling sensations.
While Yera appeared intently "monitoring" the area below, her hand, hanging by her side, casually rested on Suri's curled, bushy tail. Her fingers, like those of a master craftsman, were silently and meticulously combing the thick, soft fur, occasionally using her fingertips to gently press acupoints near the base of the tail, bringing a deeper sense of relaxation.
Su Rui was extremely dissatisfied at first! Being sandwiched between two women as a "human pillow" and "massage object" was bad enough, but he also had to be forced to listen to this boring and explosive "argument meeting"? He wished he could jump up immediately and go back to Mount Sheng to play games!
However… Enya and Yera seemed determined to “listen and see” first, and didn’t intend to intervene for the time being. With so many people downstairs, if he made a commotion now, it would inevitably attract attention and expose their presence. This would cause trouble for Enya and complicate matters further.
