Weighing the pros and cons (mainly because he was too lazy to cause trouble), Suri finally chose... to endure! He slumped back on the couch in despair, letting Enya rub his ears and Yera comb his tail, acting as if he were there to enjoy a "top-tier VIP box" and "exclusive massage service." As long as they didn't disturb him studying the little gadget in his hand that he had "borrowed" from Yera's room and that seemed to be able to faintly sense the flow of ley line energy, he was fine.

However, the heated conversations coming from downstairs inevitably reached his ears.

It began with Chief Brantao's angry accusations, accusing the Shivaish family's mines of destroying the precious lightning-struck forest, polluting the streams, and scaring away the prey.

Immediately following was Chief Perroch's booming questioning, arguing that the mine's vibrations were affecting the health of livestock and that the discharged wastewater was threatening downstream pastures and water sources.

The two families exchanged heated words, directly accusing the Shivaesh family of "greed" and "disregard for tradition and fraternal ties." Their rhetoric was fierce and their emotions ran high, as if they were about to overturn the table at the slightest provocation.

SilverAsh maintained a calm and expressionless demeanor throughout. He simply listened quietly, occasionally taking a sip of his tea, his grey-blue eyes revealing no emotion.

Only when the Blantau and Perroch families had finished saying everything they could, and the hall fell into a tense, expectant silence, did SilverAsh slowly put down his teacup.

"Finished?" His voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly throughout the entire council hall, with a cold, penetrating quality.

The Blantau and Perroch families were taken aback by his calm retort, and then became even more furious.

"Patriarch Silver Grey! Is this the attitude of your Shiva Ash family?!" Patriarch Brantao slammed his fist on the table, his beard trembling.

SilverAsh ignored his anger, merely glancing at him indifferently with his grey-blue eyes. Then, he spoke slowly, his tone still calm, yet like a boulder thrown into a lake, it stirred up a raging storm:

"Regarding the seventeen animal traps laced with a special paralyzing poison, targeting heavily armored targets, under the third lightning-struck tree on the east side of the lightning-struck forest... Chief Bulangtao, do you need to explain what... special 'prey' they are preparing to hunt?"

"!!!" Chief Bulangtao's expression changed drastically! His hand, which had been slamming on the table, froze in mid-air, and the anger in his eyes was instantly replaced by disbelief and shock! The family members around him also showed expressions of shock and panic! That arrangement was one of their family's top secrets! How could Silver Ash know about it?! And know it in such detail?!

Before the Brontao family could react, Silver Gray's gaze shifted to the other side, where Chief Perrochi's expression had also changed drastically.

"As for the upper reaches of 'Gray Rock Creek,' that 'special herbal powder' that causes livestock to suffer from chronic diarrhea, weakness, and death... Chief Perroch, does your family think that my Shivaish family's herds, or... the miners' drinking water, also need 'special care'?"

Chief Perrochi's rugged, bear-like face instantly turned a deep purplish-red! He abruptly stood up, his massive body scraping against the chair with a grating sound, and pointed at Silverash, his fingers trembling: "You...you're spouting nonsense! Slander!"

"Whether it's slander or not, an investigation will tell." Silver's tone remained calm, yet carried an undeniable coldness. "Should I immediately send people to the upper reaches of 'Grey Rock Creek,' to the Browntao family's hunter's lodge in Black Pine Valley, and... the abandoned outpost on the south bank of Ice Tear Lake, as well as the newly opened 'Snowflake Fur Shop' at the trading post, to retrieve some 'evidence' for public verification?"

With each location he mentioned, the faces of the two family heads, Blantau and Perroch, and their core members, grew paler! In the end, their faces were completely drained of color, leaving only immense shock, fear, and... the utter dismay of being seen through!

The locations SilverAsh mentioned were key sites where their two families secretly plotted, exchanged intelligence, and even prepared for underhanded dealings! Some of these locations were known only to a very few people within their own families! How could SilverAsh know so much about them?! It was as if he had witnessed it all firsthand?!

Volume 18, Chapter 1152: When they each hold leverage over each other, suspicion naturally arises.

Inside the council chamber, there was a deathly silence! All the nobles and elders watching were dumbfounded as they witnessed this dramatic scene! The Blantau and Perroch families, who had been so aggressive and ready to accuse each other, deflated instantly like punctured balloons after Silver Grey's few casual words, leaving only faces full of panic and disbelief!

SilverAsh has all their dirt on them! And it's the kind of deadly dirt that could ruin their reputation in Kjerag and even cause internal turmoil!

"You...you're spying on us?!" Chief Bulangtao squeezed out a few words through gritted teeth, his voice hoarse.

“Likewise.” Silver Gray said calmly, a cold glint finally flashing in his gray-blue eyes. “I’m just protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Shivaesh family, and… the stability of Sherag. Mining new mines is for the future of the family, and also to bring more wealth and job opportunities to Sherag. I never intended to damage the Blantau family’s hunting grounds or pollute the Perroch family’s water sources. The relevant protective and compensation measures have already been prepared and were originally intended to be proposed at today’s meeting.”

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the two family heads, whose faces were ashen. His tone softened slightly, but it still carried an undeniable force: "But the premise is that our cooperation is based on sincerity and mutual respect, not... backstabbing and underhanded tactics."

Downstairs, SilverAsh, thanks to the information provided by Suri, had completely gained the upper hand. Faced with irrefutable evidence (although not presented on the spot, SilverAsh's confident tone and precise location were more convincing than any evidence), the Blantau and Perroch families were speechless, their momentum completely gone, leaving them only with the option of passively taking a beating and thinking about how to salvage the situation.

Upstairs, in the viewing corridor behind the screen.

Enya's hand, which was kneading Su Rui's ear, paused almost imperceptibly. A hint of understanding, along with a complex emotion, flashed in her lake-blue eyes. She hadn't expected that Silver Grey would suppress the other two companies so decisively and bloodlessly in this way. The source of that intelligence… She couldn't help but lower her head and glance at Su Rui, who was resting her head on her lap, seemingly focused on the brass instrument in her hand, but whose ears were actually twitching slightly, clearly also listening to the sounds downstairs.

Yela's hand, which was grooming Suri's tail, paused slightly. A barely perceptible, knowing glint flashed in her dark eyes. It seemed that the information obtained in that "deal" had been used very well by SilverAsh. At least, it had temporarily prevented the conflict from escalating.

And Suri...

He wasn't actually that interested in the backstabbing and backstabbing going on downstairs. But when he heard SilverAsh pinpoint the locations and subtle actions he'd "unintentionally" revealed, the corners of his mouth curled up almost imperceptibly, carrying a hint of "I knew it." This SilverAsh, quick on the uptake, ruthless enough. But… he didn't seem to press his advantage and push his opponent into a corner?

Su Rui raised his eyelids, his dark eyes glancing through the gap in the screen at the silver-haired man sitting calmly in the main seat downstairs. He could sense that although Silver Gray held an absolute advantage, he didn't seem to be putting further pressure on them or making overly harsh demands? He seemed to be leaving room for the other two families?

"It seems... he does still care about family ties and Kjerag," Suri thought detachedly. While he wasn't particularly interested in these "ties," at least SilverAsh hadn't acted recklessly just because he held leverage, lest things escalate to an irreversible, bloody conflict. Perhaps... that could be considered a "bottom line"? Although this "bottom line" was likely more about self-interest and stability.

However, none of this concerned him anymore. The intelligence had been given, and the warning had been given. The rest was up to SilverAsh and those "squirrels" and "bears."

He refocused his attention on the brass instrument in his hand, feeling the extremely faint vibration emanating from his fingertips—a vibration that seemed to subtly resonate with the pulse of the earth beneath his feet. This thing… seems interesting.

Enya seemed to sense his indifference, and her fingers began to gently massage his ears again, with a soothing touch. Yera also continued to groom his tail, her movements more meticulous than before.

Downstairs, the talks entered a new phase. SilverAsh began to present his prepared preliminary plan regarding mine protection, environmental compensation, and future profit distribution. The Brontaur and Perroch families, though still looking grim, had lost their initial arrogance and were forced (or rather, faced with reality) to sit down and engage in difficult, bargaining negotiations.

A major upheaval that could have triggered internal strife in Sherag seems to have been temporarily contained at the negotiating table thanks to Suri's "visit" that night and SilverAsh's skillful maneuvering, and is proceeding slowly in a relatively peaceful manner (although undercurrents still exist).

The "source" that caused all of this was now lazily lying between the saintess and her "maid," enjoying a top-notch massage, completely indifferent to the "grand drama" downstairs that he had altered and that would determine the fate of countless people.

He just hoped this boring meeting would end soon so he could go back to studying his gadgets, or... play a couple of games.

"Ugh...be gentle..." Suri let out a very soft, nasal groan because Yella had accidentally pressed a particularly sore spot on her tail, and flicked her tail in dissatisfaction.

Enya immediately eased her grip and coaxed softly, "Okay, okay, gently~"

Yela also subtly adjusted the pressure of her fingers.

Suri hummed contentedly, squinted her eyes again, rubbed her head against Enya's leg, and found a more comfortable position.

Inside and outside the screen, it was like two separate worlds. One was deciding Sherag's future amidst heated debates and undercurrents; the other, in silent pampering and indulgence, enjoyed a rare, languid tranquility in the eye of the storm.

Inside the council chamber of the Karan Trading Company, the long and tumultuous negotiations finally concluded at sunset with a preliminary agreement that was barely acceptable to all parties and at least superficially maintained a semblance of civility. SilverAsh, leveraging his almost prophetic intelligence advantage, maintained firm control throughout, effectively warning Brantau and Perroch of their underhanded dealings while making relatively restrained concessions on substantive issues such as the distribution of mining profits and environmental compensation clauses, thus avoiding pushing the other side into a corner. The final agreement, while far from resolving all conflicts, at least temporarily confined the conflict to the negotiating table, averting the worst-case scenario of an armed standoff.

Volume 18, page 1153: A Little Something Else

The patriarchs of the Blantau and Perroch families, their faces grim, led their respective delegations away, their backs conveying a sense of frustration and powerlessness. Silver Grey remained seated at the head of the table, calmly watching them depart, a cool, controlled glint in his grey-blue eyes. This turmoil, though sparked by his expanded mining operations, had been temporarily quelled by his precise countermeasures, even further solidifying his prestige and influence in Sherag. He knew in his heart that the key to all this lay in that uninvited, mysterious "visitor" on that snowy night.

In the observation deck upstairs, Enya and Yela quietly left after their meeting. Enya was fairly satisfied with the final outcome; at least no conflict erupted, and SilverAsh showed sufficient restraint (though his methods weren't exactly honorable), which eased her worries considerably. However, thinking about Suri's daring descent from the mountain last night and the source of the intelligence SilverAsh possessed, she still felt somewhat conflicted. But looking at the silver-haired boy beside her, who seemed indifferent to everything and only concerned with returning to "study" the brass instrument, she suppressed those complex emotions, leaving only a strong, almost instinctive protectiveness and indulgence.

"Suri, are you tired? Shall we go back and rest?" Enya asked softly, habitually reaching out to help Suri straighten her slightly loose hairband.

Suri subtly tilted his head, dodging her hand, stood up from the chair, stretched lazily, and his bushy tail unfurled, tracing a graceful arc in the air. He stretched his neck, which had become stiff from sitting for so long, and a hint of relief after boredom flashed in his dark eyes.

"Yeah, I'm going back." Su Rui's tone was flat, but then, as if he remembered something, he added, "...It's a bit stuffy, I'm going out for a walk to get some fresh air. You guys go back first." He said it very naturally, as if it were just a common request for an after-dinner stroll.

Enya paused for a moment, then subconsciously looked at Yera. A knowing glint flashed in Yera's dark eyes, but she didn't object, only giving Enya a barely perceptible nod.

“…Okay, then don’t go too far, and come back soon.” Enya said worriedly, reaching out to pull up the collar of Su Rui’s cloak, which had slipped down a bit. “It’s cold outside, put on your hat.”

Suri gave a mumbled "hmm," pulled down her hood to cover her striking silver hair and furry ears, then turned and, like a cat blending into the shadows, silently disappeared through the small gate on the other side of the viewing corridor leading to the garden at the back of the manor.

He knew Enya and Yera wouldn't really be at ease, but he did need some time alone. More importantly... he had some "small things" to take care of.

As night deepened, the lights within the manor gradually illuminated the scene, dispelling the winter chill. Like a true ghost, Su Rui moved through the shadows of the buildings and gardens, avoiding the scattered guards and servants, his destination clear: the main building of the manor—Silver Gray's office area. This time, he was much more adept, not even bothering to climb the outer walls. Instead, he used a blind spot in the ventilation duct and interior structure, which he had observed during the day, to slip into the main building like liquid, silently arriving at the floor where Silver Gray's office was located.

Unlike the bedroom last time, the silver-gray office door was tightly closed, but bright light shone through the crack, indicating that the occupant was still inside. Suri listened intently for a moment, confirming that there was only one person inside, with steady breathing and the occasional scratching sound of a pen nib across paper.

He reached out, his fingertips swiftly brushing against the door lock. Without a sound, the heavy solid wood door was silently pushed open a crack.

The office came into view. The room was more spacious and more "business-like" than the bedroom. Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows was a dark night sky and the faint outline of snow-capped mountains in the distance. One side of the room featured a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf, while the other side had a large mahogany desk. Silver-gray sat behind the desk, head down, reviewing documents. His profile, illuminated by the lamplight, appeared focused and cold. He seemed to have just finished a mentally taxing meeting; a hint of fatigue lingered in his eyes, but his posture remained upright.

Su Rui didn't go in immediately. He just leaned against the shadows by the door and watched quietly for a few seconds. Then, as if he were going home, he very naturally pushed open the door, went in, and gently closed it behind him.

Almost the instant the door closed, the silver-gray hand holding the pen paused almost imperceptibly. But he didn't immediately look up, nor did he show any panic. He simply placed the pen slowly on the open document. Then, he raised his head, his gray-blue eyes calmly, as if he had expected it, looking at the uninvited "guest."

This time, Suri made no attempt to conceal himself. He pulled down his hood, revealing a head of silver hair that gleamed softly in the lamplight, and a pair of fluffy snow leopard ears that, though slightly relaxed in the warmth of the room, remained alert and perked up. He wasn't wearing a cloak, only his dark gray velvet robe, his tail hanging casually behind him, swaying gently. His face was expressionless, his dark eyes calmly meeting Suri's gaze, as if he were merely examining an insignificant object.

The two locked eyes again, and silence fell. But unlike the tension and probing in the bedroom last time, this time the atmosphere seemed... much more peaceful? At least, SilverAsh didn't show any hostility.

"...Is the meeting over?" Su Rui spoke first, breaking the silence, her tone as indifferent as if she were asking, "Have you eaten yet?"

“It’s temporarily over,” SilverAsh replied, his voice equally calm. He leaned back slightly in his wide leather chair, his grey-blue eyes scrutinizing Su Rui, as if reassessing the mysterious young man before him. “Thanks to your earlier… ‘reminder’.”

Suri gave a noncommittal "humph" and didn't reply. His gaze swept around the office, and then, very naturally... he walked to the comfortable-looking armchair covered in thick bearskin by the fireplace and sat down. He even adjusted his posture to make himself more comfortable, curling his tail and resting it on the armrest. His posture made it seem as if he were the master of the place.

SilverAsh watched his matter-of-fact manner, his lips twitching almost imperceptibly, but he didn't say anything to stop him. Instead, he stood up and walked to the liquor cabinet next to him, but this time, he didn't take any of the spirits. Instead, he took out a bottle of clear liquid with a faint honey-gold sheen that looked more like fruit juice, along with two delicate glasses.

Volume 18, Chapter 1154: The Sudden Attack

"This is a sweet fruit wine from Sherag, made with mountain berries and nectar. It has almost no alcohol content and a sweet taste." As Silver Grey spoke, he poured the wine into a glass. Then, he took out several exquisite-looking, sweet and savory pastries from a carved wooden box and placed them on a white porcelain plate.

He placed the wine glass and the dessert plate together on the low table in front of Suri. His movements were unhurried, displaying a noble, almost courteous thoughtfulness.

"It's just a small token of my appreciation... as a way of thanking you," SilverAsh said in a low voice. He didn't say what he was thanking him for, but they both understood.

Suri glanced at the tempting-looking fruit wine, then at the appealing pastries. He was indeed a little hungry. And, this fruit wine... didn't seem to have that unpleasant, pungent alcohol smell?

Without hesitation, he picked up his glass and took a small sip. It was sweet and refreshing, with the aroma of berries and the richness of nectar; the wine flavor was barely perceptible, more like a fine fruit juice. The taste…not bad. Suri's brow relaxed almost imperceptibly.

He picked up a small biscuit sprinkled with rock salt and vanilla flakes and put it in his mouth. With a "crunch," it was crisp, delicious, and perfectly seasoned—just his favorite flavor.

Suri didn't thank him, but quietly ate her snacks and drank her fruit wine, as if it were just ordinary refreshments served to a guest. Silver Gray didn't say anything more either, but simply sat back down at his desk, picked up his glass of fruit wine, and slowly sipped it. His gray-blue eyes, however, never left Suri, as if he were observing, thinking, and... waiting.

SilverAsh didn't speak again until Suri had eaten most of the pastry and finished his fruit wine. This time, his voice seemed a little lower and... a little softer? Although the softness was almost imperceptible.

"...Enya, she..." SilverAsh paused, seemingly choosing his words carefully, "...is she alright on Mount Holy Mountain?"

He asked directly, without beating around the bush. His grey-blue eyes were fixed on Su Rui, a complex emotion flashing within them—concern, worry, and perhaps… an unspeakable guilt that belonged to an older brother?

Suri's hand, holding the biscuit, paused slightly. He looked up, his dark eyes calmly meeting Silver Gray's, chewed the food in his mouth, swallowed, and then answered in that flat, emotionless tone:

"She's fine." Just three simple words.

He paused, watching the fleeting light in SilverAsh's eyes quickly fade, and added, his tone still flat, yet like a bucket of cold water poured over SilverAsh's newly ignited, faint hope:

"However, she probably... is only concerned about Encia."

Suri said this as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He was simply stating a fact, a clear and unmistakable fact that he had sensed from Enya. Enya harbored an unresolved resentment and estrangement towards the Shiva's family and her brother SilverAsh. Her only connection was to her innocent and kind-hearted sister, with whom she shared blood.

The muscles on Silver Gray's face stiffened almost imperceptibly for a moment. The glimmer of hope that had just risen in his gray-blue eyes, like a candle flickering in the wind, quietly extinguished, returning to a deep, unfathomable calm. But beneath that calm, there seemed to be a barely perceptible... sadness and... understanding?

He was silent for a moment before slowly nodding, his voice somewhat low: "...I had expected this."

He knew it all along, didn't he? From the moment he decided to embark on that path where he would stop at nothing for his family, from the moment he tacitly approved of the family's neglect and indifference towards the frail Enya, from the moment Enya ultimately chose to leave the family and become a saintess... he should have known that some things, once lost, can never be regained. In Enya's heart, there was probably no longer a place for her as "the elder brother of the Shivaesh family," only a pure desire to protect her younger sister, Enshia.

Silence fell once more in the office. The only sounds were the crackling of the burning wood in the fireplace and the soft clinking of porcelain as Suri occasionally picked up a snack.

Suri finished the last piece of pastry and drank the last bit of fruit wine in his glass. He put down the glass, casually wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, and then stood up. It seemed he really had only come here to "get some fresh air," and perhaps... grab something to eat? Mission accomplished, time to go.

"I'm leaving," Su Rui said, her tone still calm and indifferent, as if she were merely giving a notification.

SilverAsh looked up at him, his grey-blue eyes filled with complex emotions, but in the end, he simply nodded: "...Thank you."

What was he thanking for this time? Was it the intelligence? Was it the brief meeting that brought a glimpse of "Enya's news"? Or... something else? Perhaps even SilverAsh himself wasn't entirely sure.

Su Rui didn't say anything more, turned around, and walked towards the door.

However, just as his hand was about to touch the doorknob, the office door was suddenly pushed open from the outside!

A red figure, swift as lightning and whistling through the air, pounced through the door like a cheetah! The target was clear—Su Rui, who had just turned away from the doorway! It was the trump card!

She had clearly been on guard nearby, or perhaps she sensed an unfamiliar presence in the office (Suri hadn't tried to completely conceal it this time). The instant Suri prepared to leave, she struck! No weapon was used, but her calloused hand, cutting through the air and aimed straight for Suri's neck, contained a terrifying power capable of instantly subduing a strong, mature yak! Her amber, vertical pupils flashed with a cold, protective, and unyielding sharpness!

"Watch out!" SilverAsh's warning rang out almost simultaneously with Mace's movement! But he was too far away to stop him in time!

The moment the door was pushed open, Suri's body reacted instinctively! He didn't even turn around, but simply slid a very slight step to the side! The movement was so small as to be almost invisible, yet it was so precise that the mace's sure-fire grab grazed the edge of his cloak (although he wasn't wearing a cloak, the airflow caused by the movement caused it to miss)!

Her first attack missed, and a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, but her movements didn't falter. Her left hand shot out like a venomous snake, grabbing at Su Lei's shoulder, while her right leg, like a whip, swept towards Su Rui's lower body with a whistling sound! The attacks were fierce and the coordination was perfect, completely in the style of a life-or-death battle on the battlefield! Clearly, she truly considered Su Rui a dangerous element and was prepared to take him down in one fell swoop!

Volume 18, Chapter 1155: Believe it or not, I'll slap you?

A cold, sharp glint flashed in Su Rui's dark eyes! He didn't take the blow head-on. Instead, his body slid backward at an angle that defied human biomechanics, as if it had no bones. At the same time, his bushy tail, which had been hanging quietly behind him, suddenly shot up as if it had a life of its own, carrying a force that was both soft and hard, and struck the shinbone of the sweeping mace with perfect accuracy!

"Snap!" A dull thud, not loud but exceptionally clear!

Jian felt a tingling numbness in her calf, and the force of her sweeping kick involuntarily weakened, causing her body to lose its balance almost imperceptibly! She was horrified! What kind of strange move was this?! That tail... how could it possess such power and resilience?!

In that split second, Su Rui, using the recoil from the tail lash and a skillful spin, spun like a top, escaping Jian's attack range and landing lightly on the other side of the office, forming a triangular standoff with Jian and Silver Gray. He still didn't turn around, but simply turned sideways, his dark eyes coldly glancing at Jian, who was adjusting his posture with surprise and uncertainty after missing his first attack, preparing to pounce again.

"Hammer! Stop!" Silver Gray's deep and authoritative voice rang out promptly, carrying an unquestionable tone of command.

Her movements froze instantly! She whirled around, looking at Silver Gray, her amber vertical pupils filled with confusion and anxiety: "Master! He—"

"Step back." Silver Gray's voice grew even colder, and his gray-blue eyes held a light he had never seen before, a light that mixed warning and deep meaning. "This is... a guest. Do not be rude."

"A guest?!" Jian almost blurted out her doubt, but seeing Silver Gray's cold and determined gaze, she swallowed the rest of her words. She gritted her teeth and reluctantly withdrew her attack, but her body remained tense. Her amber vertical pupils, like the most vigilant hunting dog, were fixed on Su Rui, especially his fluffy ears, which were slightly agitated from the brief exchange earlier and were now standing erect, and his bushy tail that had just displayed astonishing "fighting power."

That's the scent! A crisp, refreshing aroma, like snowmelt! Exactly the same as the mysterious person who sneaked into the master bedroom last night! So it was him!

Seeing Jian's tense and resentful expression, as if facing a formidable enemy yet forced to suppress his anger, Su Rui's dark eyes flashed with a subtle, almost mischievous...amusement? Suddenly, he did something utterly childlike towards Jian, completely at odds with his aloof appearance and his previous swift movements—

He raised his hand, extended his index finger, pressed it against his cheek, and then… stuck out his tongue quickly at the mace! He made an extremely exaggerated, obviously provocative and mocking… face!

Mace: "!!!"

She froze instantly! Her amber, vertical pupils widened as if she had witnessed something unbelievable! This mysterious, unpredictable, and strangely skilled man, whom the family head addressed as a "guest"... was actually... making faces at her?! This... this is simply...

A tremendous sense of absurdity and a feeling of being mocked instantly overwhelmed Jian's mind! Torn between the patriarch's order to "not be rude" and her duty as a guard, she was momentarily at a loss for how to react. She simply stood there blankly, staring at Su Rui's childish, infuriatingly naive, "lè lè lè" expression.

In that instant when Jian was stunned, Su Rui moved! He didn't attack, nor did he leave immediately. Instead, his figure moved like a ghost, closing in on Jian with even greater speed than when he had dodged!

A warning bell rang in Jian's mind, and she instinctively wanted to retaliate! But Su Rui's target was not to attack her! In the instant their bodies crossed, Su Rui's free hand, with lightning speed and a mischievous force... lightly and swiftly grazed Jian's lips, which were slightly parted in surprise and had a firm line... with her fingertip!
