Ye Shuang silently lowered her head and drank her miso soup, not participating in the conversation.
"Teacher Shen, there's a limit to being sharp-tongued. Don't go too far," Cheng Fei coughed lightly.
“I’m just telling the truth, and that’s still better than you, a hypocritical aquatic mammal!” Shen Xi glared at him.
"Suddenly I realize that Master Ye and Lin Xuanqi were able to play with you when you were little, so their patience is far beyond that of ordinary people." The boy shook his head and drank his miso soup.
"So what is Cheng Feiyu trying to say?" Shen Xi narrowed her eyes, displeased.
"It's nothing, Your Majesty, who has never been able to make friends since she was a child." The boy smacked his lips.
"Who says Shen Xi can't make friends? No matter what, she's better than you, you scumbag who's full of lies," Ye Shuang suddenly muttered.
"Master Ye, I'm speaking up for you, and you're actually siding with her?" Cheng Fei was shocked, then shook his head and sighed, "It's over. I think you and Xuanqi were both manipulated by her since childhood. No wonder you're all acting strangely now."
"So, do we need to do this assignment?" Nagasaki Asuna wisely skipped over the topic.
Shen Xi was silent for a moment, then said, "Although the chances are slim, it's worth a try. I'll go to the study session at noon from now on."
"Then you can tutor them?" Nagasaki Asuna smiled with satisfaction.
"Tsk." Shen Xi turned her face away, her brows furrowing even more.
After ending that topic, the four of them spent their dinner chatting idly, with Shen Xi and Ye Shuang taking turns expressing their disdain for someone, which was the most common occurrence.
After the meal, Ye Shuang quickly got up to say goodbye.
"Take care, Shuangshuang. You must come to visit often in the future, okay?" Nagasaki Asuna waved slightly from the entrance.
Ye Shuang pretended to be focused on putting on her shoes and didn't answer.
Shen Xi kicked the boy next to her, "Trash, you go down with her."
"You want me to take Master Ye?" Cheng Fei asked in surprise.
"Go back online. If you want to fool around with vixens, wait until after the important business is over," Shen Xi said coldly, leaving no room for argument.
"Okay." The boy looked to the other side and shrugged. "Nana, you heard everything?"
"Okay~ I'll go online too, since Xiao An's matter hasn't been resolved yet." Nagasaki Asuna responded obediently, then remembered something and her eyes lit up, "Oh right, Shuang Shuang, remember to go online when you get back too."
"I guess I don't need to?" Ye Shuang hesitated after changing her shoes.
"Shuangshuang, are you busy?" Nagasaki Asuna leaned forward, getting closer to her.
"Yes." The girl with pigtails avoided eye contact.
"A lie, so Shuangshuang doesn't want to play with us?" Nagasaki Asuna peeked into her field of vision.
Meeting those clear, bright eyes, Ye Shuang bit her lip, suddenly pushed her away, and stomped her foot in a defiant manner, "You're so annoying, I'm going online, okay?"
"I knew Shuangshuang was the best!" Nagasaki Asuna gave her a bear hug without hesitation.
"Nana, I told you not to suddenly hug me!" Ye Shuang caught her and made her usual pointless protest.
Shen Xi seemed unable to bear it any longer. She pinched the bridge of her nose, sighed, and turned to leave.
……
So Cheng Fei and Ye Shuang went downstairs together.
When they reached the roadside, the boy put his hands in his pockets and helped her hail a taxi.
"Master Ye, how are you feeling?" Cheng Fei turned his head.
"I don't want to talk to you." The girl with pigtails turned her face away coldly.
"How can that be? You're my Master Ye." The young man moved closer to the handsome face.
"I'm not yours, I'll get angry if you come any closer!" The obedient girl glared at him as if she had been pricked by a needle.
"So how are you feeling today?" The boy raised his hands in surrender and stepped back slightly.
"What do you mean? I don't understand." The girl turned away with a cold face.
"Eating here isn't so scary, is it?" the boy smiled.
"Anyway, I'm not coming unless there's something wrong, so stop talking nonsense." The girl didn't look at him.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow morning, okay?" The boy remained noncommittal.
"I told you not to answer!" The girl gritted her teeth and glared at him.
"If you won't let me pick you up, then you can forget about going home today. You'll have to sleep at my place."
The girl raised her eyebrows and said in a louder voice, "Cheng Fei, I'm really angry if you keep talking nonsense!"
"Getting angry won't help." The boy's tone was nonchalant yet left no room for argument.
"You promised you wouldn't bully me like this!" The girl's voice softened visibly, like a block of butter taken out of the refrigerator and placed in the sun.
"Then you'd better behave and be my Master Ye. Wait for me tomorrow morning, you hear me?" The boy shrugged.
"I've been very good, you scumbag...!" The girl lowered her head and bit her lip, her voice becoming aggrieved.
"Really?" The boy leaned forward, hands in his pockets, observing the pretty face filled with unease. He chuckled, like a rascal harassing an innocent girl. "Then I'll see how well-behaved you are."
Before Ye Shuang could even realize it, the boy grabbed her arm, pulled her up close, and brought her so close that they would kiss if he moved even a centimeter closer. He could smell the girl's unique fragrance.
Ye Shuang's pupils contracted and her eyes widened as she stared at him. She felt the boy's intense heat so close to her, and although she wanted to escape, she couldn't muster any strength. As if she had done something wrong, she clenched her fists and stood frozen in place, not daring to move her gaze.
Wearing the Sakura school uniform, with her long, straight legs encased in white over-the-knee socks, the twin-tailed girl looked to onlookers like an innocent young girlfriend being unexpectedly kissed by her boyfriend, so nervous she was like a wooden doll.
Cheng Fei only stayed with Ye Shuang for a few seconds when a taxi slowly pulled up. The young man stepped back, waved to stop the car, casually opened the door for the girl, patted her head lightly, and smiled, "You're really a good girl. Go back now, Master Ye."
The girl, her fingers intertwined, buried her head and, like a rusty robot, took stiff steps to get into the car. Under the cover of night, her fair ears were as red as if they were dripping blood.
As the taxi merged into the traffic, Ye Shuang clutched her chest tightly; her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was about to leap out of her body.
683. Nagasaki Asuna thought she was going to die.
"That's a bit too innocent." Cheng Fei put his hands in his pockets and watched the taxi drive away, then shook his head with a sigh and went back to his rented room.
Despite wanting to devote his time to more meaningful work, the boy had no choice but to enter the corridor as soon as possible, urged on by both Shen Xi and Nagasaki Asuna.
……
Cheng Fei walked onto the deck and the first person he encountered was Miriam, who was waiting (doing nothing).
"Senior, do you have any news about Xiao An?" the boy asked casually.
"Not yet, the enemy is probably brewing an even bigger conspiracy!" Miriam said with a serious expression.
"Alright, you stay here. Let everyone know if there's any news." Cheng Fei nodded tentatively.
"Don't worry, leave it to me, junior!" The girl seemed to have been entrusted with some important task.
On the Miriam, everyone began preparing for a direct confrontation with Edward's fleet.
Shen Xi remains responsible for repairing the Tailless Scorpion. The battle in Yongquan Town seems to have completely destroyed the Protoss drone, and the girl herself admits that she may not be able to repair it well this time.
Incidentally, a certain Light Magic craftsman who had previously heard of the Imperial Fleet's reputation and was afraid of being implicated ran back and continued to observe Shen Xi's work as if nothing had happened, which shows his enthusiasm for Light Magic technology.
Although the tailless scorpion probably doesn't fall under the category of Light Magic technology.
Cheng Fei then took Zhou Han and Ruan Jingyi to the corridor to move things, mainly various weapons and ammunition. As a way to deal with the complete breakdown of the Tailless Scorpion, the only solution was to use the weapons in the corridor to make up for the lack of firepower. After Shen Xi specially approved the funding, Cheng Fei could go to his old friends to buy things on a large scale without spending any money.
In the game, high-level ammunition for certain weapons is extremely difficult to obtain. For ordinary players, it is something that can only be enjoyed occasionally. The market price for a single shot in player trading is tens of dollars. Pulling the trigger once is equivalent to a cup of milk tea. It can be said to be a weapon of pure money power. Usually, only large guilds and professional boosting and playing companions will buy some.
The boy's offer caused a huge stir, and the news quickly spread among players online.
"Buying 3.38 red bullets for 25 RMB! Unlimited buys! Big spenders coming soon!"
"I just rubbed ten times, should I stop?"
"I'll accept even ten shots!"
"I've saved up 300 rounds, are you interested?"
"We'll take it! The boss said he'll take as many as you have, and he'll take everything else too. DM me for the price list."
"What kind of person is this, so twisted?"
"Getting ready to fight the large portal on the third floor, huh? I heard something about it recently."
Conversations like these emerged in various trading groups, as if an invisible trading house had opened its doors and was bustling with people.
While Cheng Fei was busy transferring money to eager sellers and directing Zhou Han and Ruan Jingyi to deliver the goods to the other side of the teleportation station, where Leia would then transport them back to the ship, Nagasaki Asuna and Ye Shuang went together to gather intelligence.
Asuna Nagasaki put on her hood and led the way. Since Ye Shuang had never shown her face in Yongquan Town, she could move freely and also protect Asuna. The two complemented each other perfectly.
Amidst such busy preparations, the group didn't log off until a little earlier than the previous night.
……
When Cheng Fei took off his infiltration helmet, his phone kept popping up with inquiries about purchasing supplies, probably because someone had given his contact information to others.
The boy replied to each message in turn, then got up and left the rented room, heading towards the upscale apartment across the street.
Walking through the deserted streets late at night, and taking the elevator to the familiar thirty-sixth floor, the boy had just opened the door when a soft, delicate body immediately rushed into his arms.
Asuna Nagasaki buried her head in the boy's arms and rubbed against him for several minutes before finally raising her head, her clear, bright eyes reflecting the boy's helplessness.
"Meow?" The girl tilted her head and made a soft sound, as if she really was a cat.
"You little brat, at least let me in first." Cheng Fei lightly tapped her head, and after the girl reluctantly let go of his hug, he closed the door behind him.
Then, he pinched her sweet face, which could be both charming and sullen, and examined it for a while, and stroked her soft sideburns.
Nagasaki Asuna remained motionless, letting them do as they pleased. However, no matter which way her head was forced to tilt, her bright, clear eyes remained fixed on the boy's face, unblinking, like a delicate doll.
"What are you looking at?" The boy cupped her slightly chubby, fair cheeks.
"Look at Master." The girl narrowed her eyes slightly, pursed her crystal lips and swallowed, as if she was so immersed in being treated like this that she couldn't extricate herself.
Cheng Fei lowered his head and leaned closer.
"Ugh..." the girl murmured unconsciously.
In the deserted entryway, Nagasaki Asuna tilted her head back and tried to stand on tiptoe, offering her sweet breath, her hands frozen in mid-air with a bewildered look.
After a long while, Cheng Fei embraced the girl, who was melting like ice cream under the sun, and walked towards her bedroom.
Asuna Nagasaki nestled obediently against the boy, burying her head deeply, a barely suppressed smile curving her lips.
Once the door closed, the girl desperately tiptoed, desperately trying to absorb her antidote until she could barely breathe. Only then did she reluctantly step back, clutching her chest, squinting her eyes, taking deep breaths, and swallowing.
"So, Cheng Fei, what kind of Nana do you want to see this time?" Nagasaki Asuna finally calmed her breathing, a smile of interest on her face, and walked to the wardrobe to open it.
The huge closet was filled with a dazzling array of clothes, in every style and color imaginable.
"Hey classmate, come over here and ask me something." Cheng Fei sat on the edge of the bed and patted the spot next to him.
"Hey, what do you want to ask Nana the cat?" Nagasaki Asuna winked, her hands behind her back.
"Come here first," the boy said casually.
"Okay~" the girl replied sweetly, quickly returning to the boy's side. She kicked off her slippers, got into bed, then tilted her head and nestled into his arms, hugging her knees and looking at him like a real pet cat curled up next to its owner. "Cheng Fei, you can ask now~"
"Get up first, I need to talk to you about serious matters." Cheng Fei looked down at her, his expression serious.
"No, this is the posture a cat uses when listening to its owner talk about serious matters." Nagasaki Asuna shook her head from side to side, looking innocent and bewildered, her small, soft feet dangling in mid-air.
"I can't do anything with you, forget it." The boy shook his head, then paused, "I'm asking you, why didn't you warn Ye Shuang when she was eavesdropping outside that day?"
"Hey, which day?" the girl asked, feigning innocence.
"The day we tell Zhou Han and the others the truth."
"Was Ye Shuang outside that day?" The girl's eyes widened, her expression revealing a genuine doubt.
"You don't know?" Cheng Fei grabbed that delicate and beautiful face without any politeness, like grabbing his own pet cat.
“Nana Cat, I don’t know.” Nagasaki Asuna shook her head as she spoke, letting her face be pinched.
"Don't you know? Is your radar broken?" Cheng Fei said irritably, pinching her cheek.
"Because Nana loves her owner too much, when she's with her owner, her mind is always full of things related to her owner, so she's gone crazy." Nagasaki Asuna nodded quickly, looking very certain.
"In that case, it seems useless and can be thrown away." The boy watched her rub her chin and nodded seriously.
"Eh, does that mean we have to throw it away if the radar breaks?" Nagasaki Asuna's pupils contracted, and her feet, which were dangling in mid-air, froze.
