"This Mara seems to have a deep-seated affection for Buddha?"

Wenquxing nodded.

"Back then, Mara almost gave up all his wealth to prevent Buddha from leaving the Sixth Heaven. Hey, why is Buddha, such a fat man, so popular with this demon king of the Sixth Heaven?"

Mara's attitude towards Buddha now is like the sayings: "The Queen of the Sixth Day Falls in Love with Me," "The Naughty Queen Wants Me to Confess," "To Escape the Queen's Marriage, I Have No Choice But to Leave the Sixth Day," and "The Queen and Her Daughter Want Me to Stay."

Guanyin, who was standing in front of Zhou Yan and the other two, turned her head slightly and looked at the little Yama and Wenquxing who were talking in hushed tones, her lips slightly parted.

"Mara truly loved Shakyamuni the most."

Guanyin is, after all, a great Bodhisattva, and knows quite a lot about the history of Buddhism.

Zhou Yan, Little Yama, and Wenquxing instantly focused their attention on Guanyin's face, each with a strong desire for gossip on their faces, especially Zhou Yan, the Amusement Beast, who couldn't stop asking.

"why?"

Why did the Buddha have some special qualities that made Mara like him so much?

Guanyin smiled bitterly.

"There are no so many whys. Mara, a god-like being, has everything he wants. If he likes something, it can only be because he can't get it."

Guanyin turned her head to look at Buddha and Mara.

"Mara is the lord of the sixth heaven. In the sixth heaven, everything is at His disposal. Only Buddha is beyond Mara's reach, which is why He loves him the most."

Little Yama clicked his tongue.

"That's certainly a good reason, isn't it? Can't we get it?"

People only realize the value of what they have lost when they lose it, and only what they cannot obtain can make them constantly yearn for it.

Just like the unattainable SSR, five-star characters, and legendary equipment, they always make people want to keep doing ten-pulls.

Just like the pictures of doujinshi and screenshots of adult films posted by some veteran members in the group, they are always so alluring, making people want to ask for the mysterious code or blue link.

Zhou Yan also secretly spoke to Wenquxing.

"This Mara is becoming more and more like a child. I suspect that his constant opposition to Buddha is simply an attempt to attract Buddha's attention."

Wenquxing also chimed in.

"These demons are indeed like that."

Heavenly demons are different from mortals. Mortals, because they live in society, inevitably become more cunning and intelligent the longer they live. Heavenly demons, however, are born as true gods, and have no worries about death or illness. Therefore, they descend to the mortal realm every day, possessing human bodies and sharing in their bliss.

Finding amusement and satisfying oneself are almost everything in the lives of the demons. As a result, many demons exhibit childlike willfulness and self-centeredness, regardless of reason or knowledge; it is simply their nature.

"Siddhartha! Mara told you, you have to leave today, whether you like it or not!"

Bo Xun's voice gradually rose in pitch, becoming somewhat shrill. (8)

"Marsh will absolutely not allow you to die..."

Bo Xun's powerful voice suddenly stopped.

"Ok?"

"what happened?"

Zhou Yan, Xiao Yanjun, and Wenquxing, who were watching from a distance, all lowered their heads, feeling the ground beneath their feet begin to tremble.

An earthquake began at the South Heavenly Gate. At first, the magnitude of the earthquake was only felt by Zhou Yan, Little Yama, and Wenquxing's feet. Soon after, the pebbles on the ground began to bounce up and down.

The South Heavenly Gate already had large areas of ruins and buildings that were on the verge of collapse. Now, as the intensity of the earthquake increased, rumbling sounds of collapse came continuously from all around Zhou Yan, Little Yama, and Wenquxing. In some places, white dust filled the air, indicating that the collapse was severe.

The distant Mara spoke faster.

"Siddhartha, come with me to the sixth day. I will not allow you to die here!"

The Buddha rose indifferently and faced a place of eternal darkness at the Western Heavenly Gate. That place should have been dark and chaotic, devoid of any reality, matter, or world laws. But shortly after the Buddha looked over there, a ray of light appeared from the darkness.

The Buddha's eyes reflected this light, and his face was calmer than ever before.

Mara was so angry that he could no longer persuade the Buddha with words alone, so he walked to the Buddha's side and grabbed the fat man's hand.

With a wave of his arm, Buddha sent Mara, who was holding Buddha's arm, flying away.

Mara was furious.

"Siddhartha!"

At this point, I've already humbled myself to come to the Western Heavenly Gate to beg this fatso, so why is he still so decisively refusing me?

Mara just couldn't understand why it wouldn't be better to go to the sixth day with him and enjoy bliss.

Why must I die here?

The Buddha responded.

"If I don't go to hell, who will?!"

"If I do not become a martyr, who will follow me?"

The Buddha shone with seven-colored light, illuminating the Western Heavenly Gate, which was shrouded in eternal darkness, making it as bright as day.

This might be a signal. Countless divine beings emerged from the various buildings that were still standing. Zhou Yan saw the remains of the true god of Doubu, the golden bodies of Arhats and Bodhisattvas, the star lords among the heavens, and many Taoist immortals.

These deities, now reduced to mere skeletons, stood bathed in the Buddha's light in the open air. Even though their eyes were now empty, Zhou Yan and the others could still feel a profound sorrow.

Seeing all this, Zhou Yan secretly hid behind Guanyin, and then gave Xiao Yanjun and Wenquxing a look, asking them to block him.

Zhou Yan was a little afraid that one day these skeletal deities would turn around and look at him, then curse him as a "white-haired beast." As a result, the surrounding deities would immediately break the calm and sorrowful atmosphere and all grab their weapons to kill him, this white-haired beast.

Little Yama, the God of Literature, walked to Zhou Yan's side and, together with Guanyin, shielded Zhou Yan's body.

This place was quite far from the other deity's remains, and the Buddha's entire body was radiating light—no, Buddha's light was extremely conspicuous—so for a time, few of the deity's remains noticed the few little creatures hiding beside the Buddha. Even if they did notice, they didn't realize that among these little figures was a white-haired monster that countless deities wanted to get rid of.

The Buddha, radiating light, spoke in a loud voice.

“Disasters and calamities arise one after another, and they all begin with bloodshed.”

"If so, let it begin with the Tathagata."

Enveloped in a halo of light, the Buddha flew toward a single beam of white light that had come from an extremely distant place.

Chapter One: Descending to Earth

Lingshan, Qingjing Temple.

Arona rolled around in his bedroom bed.

"Big White..."

"Big White..."

"Ah ah ah ah..."

"Big White..."

Arona got out of bed, touched her messy hair, and looked around, trying to find any trace of Bai Ze's presence.

but.

Zhou Yan had already run away, leaving no trace of his presence. The only furniture in the room was old furniture that Arona had seen for hundreds of years, furniture that Arona knew so well she could walk around the room with her eyes closed.

Feeling somewhat annoyed, Aruna couldn't help but leave his monastery.

Outside the monks' quarters was a serene Buddhist sanctuary bathed in Buddhist light.

Mount Ling, the place where Buddha preached and spread the Dharma, is where the merits of the continent converge and where Buddha's light shines every day. It can cleanse the mind and remove distracting thoughts. Back then, Aruna came to Mount Ling to meditate because he had too many distracting thoughts. However, not long after he started meditating, if it weren't for Lü Dongbin helping him, Aruna would have almost died there.

The scenery outside the monks' quarters was also very familiar. Back then, Aruna had practiced at Qingjing Temple for hundreds of years. During these hundreds of years, Aruna had seen monks come and go from Lingshan. Some of these monks were even ones that Aruna had watched grow up from childhood, and in the end, Aruna himself went to the graves to offer incense.

Aruna instinctively walked to a monastery behind his own, which contained the Vajradhatu Mandala.

Most of the monks who come to Mount Ling to cultivate Buddhism are children. These children study Buddhist scriptures and practice magic. When the time comes, they will be deluded by the five desires. At that time, they will be taken by their teachers to this Vajra Garbhadhatu realm. When Aruna is bored, he likes to go to this place. After entering the Vajra Garbhadhatu realm, he secretly watches these children marry, have children, and live the life they want to live.

Those who attained enlightenment stayed behind, while those who did not were sent down Mount Ling.

Even the Buddha and monks of Mount Ling know that Buddhism only guides those with affinity. Those who cannot sever ties with the mortal world should continue to enjoy their lives in the mortal realm.

Of course, some monks, having enjoyed themselves enough in the mortal world, will become enlightened and return. At that time, Aruna will also seize these monks and make them tell him stories.

Over the centuries, Aruna heard countless stories of talented men and beautiful women, countless stories of lovesick men and women, and countless stories of people going from the highest ranks of government to prisoners in an instant.

In the end, all we learn is that life is unpredictable.

Everything in the mortal world is like a dream, beautiful and colorful, captivating and enchanting, but bubbles always burst.

Aruna arrived at the entrance of the Qingjing Temple. The temple gate was open, allowing one to see outside from the gate.

The mountain gate contains everything of the sacred mountain, but there is no Bai Ze outside.

Arona found a chair and sat behind the mountain gate, watching silently. There was no particular reason; in this lonely place, there was no other way to pass the long dragon life except by doing this.

unless……

Ok?

Arona's spiritual senses suddenly detected something amiss. Within the sacred mountain, something seemed to have cracked, like an eggshell with a crack, and egg liquid was flowing out from the crack with a crackling sound.

Aruna's spiritual awareness suddenly loosened.

The area within Mount Ling is now sealed off, with no past or future. As a result, most of Aruna's perception can only flow within the Qingjing Temple. However, it seems that ninety percent of the restrictions outside the Qingjing Temple have been lifted in an instant. Aruna's perception is like water gushing out of a balloon after it explodes.

Within seconds, Aruna saw the Bodhisattva of Joy and Bixia Yuanjun emerge from a temple. The two goddesses sensed Aruna's gaze. Bixia Yuanjun gave him a cold look, while the Bodhisattva of Joy bowed to Aruna. Then, the two goddesses left Mount Ling together.

Later, in another temple, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who had been given a female body, came out. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva also noticed Aruna's gaze, bowed, and then slowly left.

Aruna's expression changed several times inside the Qingjing Temple.

Lingshan...can we leave now?

Bai Ze actually saved so many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, forcibly breaking through to level 3! (Five Six No. ※)

"Big White, you really are the best!"

Aruna happily rose from his seat and hurried to the threshold of the Qingjing Mosque.

Just as she was about to lift her little foot to go out, Aruna paused again. Although she had already seen Ksitigarbha, the Bodhisattva of Joy, and Bixia Yuanjun leaving her temple, the long-standing danger still made Aruna tense. She first stretched her little hand outside, and after seeing that her fingernails had not been cut outside the Qingjing Temple, she stretched her hand out again.

After his hands were safely out, Arona pulled his feet and body out as well.

Aruna was completely outside the monastery, but was unharmed.

The solidification of this sacred mountain is much better than it used to be.

Arona laughed and left Mount Ling. He was going to Penglai Island to find his body, then to find Zhou Yan, his Great White, and his home!

……

Outside the East Heavenly Gate.

A horse-drawn carriage races through the clouds.

When troubles arise in the human world, the Western Heavenly Gate, where Buddha died for his cause, cannot remain for long. Not long after Buddha left, Zhou Yan, Little Yama, Wenquxing, and Guanyin rode in a mechanical carriage found by Guanyin and left the Western Heavenly Gate, heading towards the only remaining useful Eastern Heavenly Gate.

The little Yama in the car was seriously injured. After listening to the gossip between Mara and Tathagata, he collapsed again in the arms of Wenquxing.

Because of the presence of a young Yama in his arms, Wenquxing had no choice but to hand over the little dragon girl Yinglong to Guanyin.

As for the white-haired monster Zhou Yan, he secretly sat down next to Guanyin, glancing at Bo Xun sitting on the innermost side of the carriage from time to time.

Mara did not stop the Buddha from martyrdom, and his face looked very bad. After getting into the chariot, his face was as ugly as the bottom of a pot.

Guanyin, Zhou Yan, Wenquxing, and Xiao Yanjun could all sense the unpleasant aura of this Heavenly Demon Lord, and they all distanced themselves from him.

Mara was too lazy to waste words with these minor gods, and after getting into the carriage, he didn't utter a single word.

The car was eerily quiet. Silence doesn't necessarily mean a good thing. At least Zhou Yan was so frightened that he kept moving closer to Guanyin. Perhaps because he moved too close, Zhou Yan could smell the faint fragrance emanating from Guanyin.

Zhou Yan couldn't help but glance at Guanyin, and a thought suddenly popped into his mind.

Guanyin, as a great Bodhisattva, possesses immense power. If Lu Wu and Jiu Feng could marry her, they should...

Of course, this was just a thought; Zhou Yan ultimately didn't have the courage to talk to Guanyin about such a thing.

That's the same as the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva who is now in female form?

Pooh! Pooh! Pooh!

It's better to ask the Little Yama for help than to propose to Ksitigarbha or Guanyin. But they treat us like brothers, and it's really inappropriate to try to trick them into becoming your wife.

Zhou Yan touched his chin with one hand, his expression solemn.

Bo Xun's expression softened, and he looked at Zhou Yan with a mocking expression.
