Harry's uncle Vernon Dursley also came out. He was probably in his forties, so fat that he didn't even have a neck, but he had a big beard.
Seeing John, Vernon Dursley's expression fell and he yelled, "How dare you guys come to my house!"
Ever since he saw the warning letter the Ministry of Magic sent to Harry a few days ago, Vernon knew that these little wizards were not allowed to use magic outside.
So he was not afraid of John at all and yelled at him to get out.
"Mr. Dursley, I think you are mistaken."
John smiled slightly and seemed very polite.
"My current identity is the child of the owner of number 6 Privet Drive, which means I am your neighbor's child and I am knocking on your door."
His words made Vernon stunned. John continued to talk to himself, "I don't think Mr. Dursley would have the basic courtesy to kick out a neighbor who brought a gift, would he?"
Vernon looked carefully and found that John had indeed come with a gift.
The rich, sweet aroma of apple pie made his beloved son drool. Vernon's expression changed several times, and finally he said with a dark face, "Since you are not that group of annoying people, then come in."
John smiled slightly and handed the apple pie to the sullen-looking Penny before entering.
...
"Hurry up and sit down, then stay for a minute and you can go."
Vernon didn't look at John well. John glanced at Dudley who was unpacking an apple pie and eating it, thinking how much the father and son looked alike.
"Where's Harry?"
"Harry? Don't mention that guy to me."
Vernon knew that John had bad intentions. He locked Harry up tightly and nailed him with iron bars, leaving a trap door to deliver meals to Harry three times a day.
He had already made up his mind to prevent Harry from going to school, and no one could change his mind.
Vernon stood up while pinching his watch and issued an order to evict them. "You can leave my house now. You guys should never enter my house again."
His attitude made John frown, and the politeness he had been maintaining gradually disappeared.
John showed no intention of moving, so Vernon wanted to rush him away.
John grabbed Vernon's stubby index finger and twisted it hard.
Vernon suddenly let out a scream like a pig being slaughtered, and Petunia was startled and hurried over.
She saw her husband kneeling in front of John, whimpering as one of his fingers was being pinched.
"Mr. Dursley, I think you may have misunderstood something."
"Misunderstanding? There is no misunderstanding! If you don't leave I will call the police!"
Vernon Dursley wanted to chase him away, but John lost his patience and said coldly, "I'm not just Harry's classmate. My father has dealings with Mr. Finn Wallace. You know, there are other ways to deal with some people."
Finn Wallace.
Vernon didn't even bother to scream when he heard the name.
He's the boss of a London gang, someone the police can't control.
Vernon, who originally thought that there was nothing to be afraid of as long as wizards couldn't use magic, was now panicked. If what John said was true, then it would be easy for the other party to deal with him.
"I'm sorry, please forgive my rudeness." Vernon suppressed the pain and forced a smile, saying, "Harry is upstairs."
"Very well, Mr. Dursley, please allow me to go up and meet my friend."
John released Vernon's finger, letting him nod as if he had been pardoned, and then walked aside to check if his finger was broken.
John took over the guest's role and looked at Dudley, who was still enjoying his meal. He said calmly, "Dudley, maybe you should lead the way for the guests, right?"
Dudley didn't react, so Vernon went straight up and pulled his ears to ask him to lead the way for John.
Dudley cried out in pain, but still went upstairs with John reluctantly.
After arriving at Harry's room, John looked at the door which was sealed with only a trap door for delivering meals and fell into deep thought.
"I remember that the UK also has child protection laws."
"It was him. He destroyed my father's business a few days ago."
Dudley was afraid of being affected and hurriedly explained.
After a year of absence, Dudley's fear of John had not diminished in the slightest.
John curled his lips, he didn't have a pencil with him now.
Stepping forward, he asked Dudley to open the door.
Chapter 44: House-Elves and Flying Cars
Harry had never had such a bad birthday.
His birthday was ruined by Dobby the house-elf, and he was locked up.
He even felt that he would never be able to return to Hogwarts in his lifetime.
Harry looked out through the gap in the iron plate of the window with some despair. Hedwig had lost some weight due to the bad food for several consecutive days.
Looking sick, Hedwig turned away angrily.
Just at this moment, the door that only opens twice a day was opened.
Harry looked up and saw John walk in.
"John!" Harry was extremely surprised.
John frowned when he walked in. This place was indeed too narrow.
The sealed windows didn't let in much sunlight, and John greeted Harry.
"Harry, Hermione and the others said you didn't reply to their letters, so I came to see you."
John walked over to Harry's bed and sat down. He asked strangely, "Why are you locked up?"
Harry got angry when he mentioned this matter. He said with full resentment: "A house elf broke in, told me not to go to Hogwarts, and then caused trouble. Uncle Vernon knew that I was not allowed to use magic outside of school."
"Oh my God, you don't know how I got through all this time."
Harry found someone to talk to and poured out his troubles to John.
When John heard this, he immediately felt strange.
"The house elves are giving you trouble?"
He was puzzled. House-elves generally would not attack wizards, let alone come to other people's homes to cause damage.
"Could someone have instructed this?" John wondered if someone wanted to frame Harry on purpose.
"Could it be Malfoy?" When it came to who could be the possibility, Harry's first choice was Malfoy.
John was speechless. You two really love and hate each other.
The possibility of it being Malfoy is not high. If it were Malfoy, he would probably have already written a letter to John to show off.
This possibility is denied.
If it wasn't someone's orders, then it could be that the house-elf took the initiative on its own.
John didn't understand how a house-elf got involved with Harry.
Only old, wealthy wizarding families had house-elves.
It would be fine if you said he was the former house-elf of the Potter family. You don't have to question the Potter family's wealth.
When John was reading a book, he saw the potions developed by the Potter family, and one of the shampoos was sold out.
But the problem is, Dobby doesn't listen to Harry either.
House-elves cannot disobey the orders of their masters. If they were the house-elves of the Potter family, they would not disobey Harry's orders.
Both of them felt strange about this matter and frowned.
"Let's not talk about this for now, John, are you here to rescue me?" Harry said with hope in his eyes.
He just heard Uncle Vernon screaming like a pig being slaughtered, and he thought it was related to John.
When he thought of John's ability to chop off the giant monster's head, he suddenly felt hopeful.
John glanced at him, remembering the letter Ron had sent him, he shook his head and said, "It's a pity, I need to be saved, but not me."
"Who is that?"
Harry was puzzled.
John smiled mysteriously, he received a letter from Ron.
Ron's father told Ron that Harry had received a warning letter from the Ministry of Magic, and Harry had not replied to the letter for a long time.
So Ron prepared to bring people to rescue Harry. John thought that they would do it at night, so he said that he would not rescue him himself.
After all, he couldn't really call on gang thugs to kidnap the Dursleys. He was a law-abiding citizen, and his words were just to scare the Dursleys.
Although John couldn't save him, Harry felt warm at heart being able to chat here.
The two talked about their holidays, and John said that he had gone abroad, which made Harry very envious.
"Harry, you have to be careful. I feel like it won't be long before Voldemort makes a comeback."
John said the name and Harry's face froze.
"I encountered a Death Eater in France. Even though there was only one, it also means that his power has not been completely destroyed. You have to be careful. Maybe what the house-elf said makes sense."
John didn't remember the plot very clearly, and he didn't remember much about what happened to Harry in second grade. He remembered that the key clue was in a secret room in the bathroom.
He warned Harry out loud, hoping that he would remain vigilant.
"I see John, I'm glad you came to see me, it would be nice if my luggage was here so I could review it."
Harry also felt that he should try hard, but unfortunately his luggage was not here, but downstairs.
John told him not to worry. After saying goodbye to Harry and going downstairs, he looked at the reserved Vernon and said calmly, "Even if you put Harry in detention, you should give him some time to sort out his things."
Vernon nodded hurriedly when he heard this: "I'll move his things up right away."
He was really afraid of this little wizard who was the same age as Harry. Even though the other party could not use magic outside, he could call on gangs to make him unable to sleep or eat.
He just wanted to get rid of the devil John as soon as possible, so he naturally agreed to everything else.
Harry's luggage was carried upstairs, and Harry wondered how John had managed to keep Uncle Vernon so obedient.
Since he could make Uncle Vernon obey him, why not just let him let him go?
Harry didn't understand any of this, John had already walked out of the Dursleys' house.
He looked at the Dursleys who were watching him leave and nodded slightly.
To be honest, he didn't hate the Dursleys as much as he thought.
As a Muggle family, it was great that they were willing to raise Harry as a wizard.
At night.
John heard the roar of a car.
He lived in the attic, and when he opened the window he saw a turquoise car flying through the air.
The car drove up to the Dursleys' window and John saw three red-haired heads inside.
It goes without saying that this is a Weasley family.
John stroked his chin and said, "This car is made from a Muggle car and magic. It's great alchemy."
This flying car was probably not created by the Weasley twins, as they do not have that level of alchemy yet.
John remembered Ron saying that his father was the head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department at the Ministry of Magic, and seemed like the most likely person to have built this car.
"Interesting, Ron has invited me to his house. I'll go there sometime, maybe we can exchange some ideas about alchemy."
John watched as the people in the car pulled Harry up. Because of John, Harry's luggage was left in the room, and the people got in the flying car and left directly.
When Vernon Dursley woke up the next day, he saw the roar coming from the open window.
He even suspected that it was John who did it, and asked the gang to remove the windows of his house overnight.
This made him unable to sleep well for several days, and Dudley was even confined to his house.
