She stepped off the boat, came up to the man, and saluted gracefully before he could speak:

"Hello, Miss Zhenhai. I am the second ship of the Royal Edinburgh class, Belfast. It's our first meeting, thank you for your guidance."

Chapter 0: Single chapter to answer recent questions

As the title says, I wanted to write a single chapter to respond to the issues that most readers care about in the comments and paragraph reviews, so the sequence number was set to chapter 0.

Because I often read everyone's paragraph reviews and book circles, I thought that there would still be readers who would have the same questions after replying to them one by one, so I specially opened this separate chapter.

First of all, the most frequently asked question is: Why not build a colorful boat and when to write about it?

I have actually explained this question in the article. The reason why I did not write about the colorful boats now is very simple: identity.

Each colorful boat has a very high status in its own camp, and it can be said to be very important. And what is the identity of my protagonist, Yang Sikang?

An illegal immigrant with no identity but great ability, his only support is Azur Lane and the ship girls who are now at this home port.

Take building a garden as an example. If the protagonist has built a garden, he will face only two outcomes:

1. He was captured by the Navy and sent to a laboratory for research under the pretext of studying his construction secrets.

2. He was captured by the headquarters and made a fire captain, and has been bound to the Azur Lane headquarters ever since.

The reasons are as follows:

1. Huayuan has a high status, an Iowa-class battleship, nicknamed the Black Dragon, and has an impressive record.

2. Garden is a ship girl who not only has strong personal strength but also has strong command ability. In the event plot, it is explained that she can even control the affairs of an entire sea area.

3. If you can even pull out the Garden, then other shipgirls are no problem. Do you still want to go out and defend the frontline port area? Build it for me at the headquarters! Can't you just leave the attack to the Garden?

In addition, there is another problem, that is, if you build a colorful ship too early, it will raise other people's expectations too high. For example, if the protagonist builds a heavy cruiser now, and builds a purple battleship next time, then others will think that this person has a bright future.

But if the protagonist builds a garden now and a purple battleship next time, others will think: Is this person fucking bad?

The protagonist's core trump card to save his life now is his value, so he must make himself appear valuable, but at the same time not draw too much attention all at once.

This is a degree that must be grasped well, otherwise his situation will change.

Gradually raising the expectation threshold of others and improving one's own value bit by bit will allow the protagonist to develop better.

Of course, I also know that writing about colorful ships will definitely attract more readers, but I hope that my book is not put on the bookshelf just because of everyone's temporary preference. I hope that I have written a book with content, so please give the plot some more time. The colorful ships will definitely appear, and the scientific research ships will also appear.

Not only that, there will be ships that I set up myself that don't exist at all.

But I still say the same thing, dear readers, please give the plot some time and let the bullets fly for a while, thank you!

Then the second question is: Why not build ship girls from other factions, such as the Northern Alliance, Iris or Donghuang?

This question is actually similar to the previous one.

A commander who can consistently build Royal Fleet Ships, and a commander who can consistently build any ship he wants for any faction.

There is a huge difference between the two. The former will at least attract more attention to a certain camp. For example, the royal family in my article has begun to pay more attention to the protagonist.

But the latter will attract everyone's attention.

It's the same reason. You have the ability but no identity and no ready-made strength. This situation is like a beggar holding a large bag of cash in a transparent bag.

And this beggar is still in White Eagle.

I wrote about this before when the protagonist made a bet with the Enterprise. The protagonist's original plan was to leave the home port as quickly as possible to take up his post in the port area, and then use the Rubik's Cube at hand to build.

Why did he take up his post first and then build? It was to turn his abilities into combat power before the news spread. With his own team and sufficient strength, he could do whatever he wanted. If others wanted to force him, they would have to consider whether it was worth it.

The third question is also a bunch of miscellaneous questions, so I’ll put them together and talk about them: Why did I create a visitor from another world as the protagonist of my other book, and why are the protagonist’s emotional expressions so awkward in some places?

The reason is this: As for the aliens, if I hadn't said anything about Li Futao, no one would have known that he was the protagonist of another book I created. After all, that setting is just a setting now and has not been written into a book. But I still said this, not to disgust people, but I hope that all readers know that this is the protagonist of another book, and he is just a guest star, so he won't have a lot of scenes, so don't take this group's proportion too seriously.

Of course, when I wrote this I didn’t consider that some readers might find this disgusting. This was my mistake and I’m very sorry.

The reason why it is so awkward is that, on the one hand, my writing skills are not good enough and my expression is lacking, which I will try my best to improve.

On the other hand, when I was expressing my story, I was expressing it from the perspective of the protagonist, but the readers did not know the specific things the protagonist had experienced in the past, so they could not resonate with it.

This is actually also my problem. When I imagined these plots, I thought that when everyone saw this, they would feel strange, and then after watching the later part and gradually understanding the protagonist's past, they would think differently about the previous description.

But I overlooked the problem that readers would feel awkward and unable to empathize if they saw the first part before the later plot came out.

So I am really sorry to all the readers in this regard. I will try my best to improve the subsequent chapters that involve similar content.

Finally, my book has been out for almost a month, and I was surprised to have so many readers now. I really appreciate your support.

But as an author, I still hope that readers can click on me more often to urge me to update. It’s okay if you don’t give paid gifts, but can you click on the free gifts?

Your requests for updates, free gifts, comments and likes will bring changes to my data and allow more readers to see my books.

Thank you all, the author would like to thank you all here!!!

Chapter 53 A Fair Transaction (1)

"Hello, Miss Belfast."

Zhenhai responded politely while recalling quickly in his mind.

She had no memory of meeting Belfast, and before that, the royal family had only visited Donghuang a handful of times.

And in those official occasions, it was Yixian who showed up more often than her. She was basically sure that she had never come forward to talk to the royal ship girls.

This meant that it was indeed the first time they met each other, but the lady from Belfast looked like she knew her.

"Ms. Zhenhai, you came at the right time. I was worried that no one seemed to be able to help me. There is a little too much cargo in the cabin. I wonder if you can ask a few ship girls to unload the things? After all, these things are personal goods."

"Since it's cargo, you can just ask the workers over there to help unload it. Although they have never unloaded cargo from a destroyer, they are still very capable. Do you need me to help you find a few reliable gentlemen?"

Belfast came up and said that she wanted to find a ship girl to move the goods, and Zhenhai was naturally unwilling. But she didn't expect that Belfast would say next:

"If Miss Zhenhai thinks it's okay, I don't mind."

Belfast smiled and said:

"Because the goods inside were purchased by you."

"Oh? But I don't remember buying anything at White Eagle."

"Yes, after all, this business will only be discussed next."

Zhenhai raised his eyebrows, and was intrigued by Belfast's unexpected answer:

"It seems that Miss Belfast is quite sure that I will buy this batch of goods?"

Smiling, Zhenhai glanced in the direction of the cabin and shook his head slightly.

"But whether to buy it or not, let's talk about it after we have discussed it. But I think you may be disappointed, Miss Belfast. By the way, do you want to wait for the two people inside to come out together?"

"No, they're going shopping soon."

"Really? Then please follow me."

The office in Zhenhai is similar to that in other port areas, located in a location with a view of the port, high enough and with suitable lighting.

Coincidentally, this is exactly the place that Belfast was looking at before.

It is not the highest location in the entire port, but the view is good enough and not so conspicuous.

There are very few furnishings in the office, with almost no extra decorations, and even the walls are just simple pure white.

A huge bookshelf and a filing cabinet divided the entire wall in half, and a simple coat rack was placed at the door.

There is no carpet on the floor, but marble tiles.

The largest object in the room was a huge, thick table placed in the center.

Although there were a few small potted plants on the table for decoration, Belfast took a look at the ground and realized that the position of the table should have been used to place sand tables or nautical charts.

There is a tea table a little further inside, on which is placed a complete set of tea sets and some small decorations.

It is located next to the window, and the sunlight shines through the window onto half of the table, reflecting the tea pet on it, which is quite interesting.

The desk is very large and faces the door. There are piles of documents divided into several neat piles, each occupying one side.

In the center are an ink bottle and two pens.

But next to it there was a stack of rolled rice paper and a pen holder with a few brushes hanging on it, and next to an inkstone there was an ink stick with one third of it worn off.

These four ancient-style study treasures form a sharp contrast with the simple yet extraordinary computer screen in the center of the desk, creating an inexplicable sense of weirdness.

Glancing at both sides, several thick books and square boxes on the bookshelf caught Belfast's attention.

"Is Miss Belfast also interested in Go or something?"

Zhenhai walked to the bookshelf, took down a box and opened it. Inside was a chessboard and two round black and white boxes. Judging from the collision sound, they should be filled with chess pieces.

“I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never tried it myself.

I heard that Miss Zhenhai is good at chess, so I asked the Commander to help me brush up on the relevant knowledge before I came out. Unfortunately, I don’t seem to have much talent in this area, and I haven’t gotten started yet.”

"Playing chess is about cultivating one's character, not about competing for profit or victory. Talent is not that important. I guess Miss Belfast just hasn't figured out the trick yet."

As Zhenhai spoke, he took out the tea leaves, walked to the tea table and slowly started brewing them.

"I heard that the royal family likes to drink black tea. Unfortunately, I don't have any black tea here right now. But our country's green tea does have some flavor. Miss Belfast, why don't you try it?"

"Miss Zhenhai invited me, so I naturally have no reason to refuse. And speaking of black tea, Donghuang's Qihong is also famous. I wonder if I will be lucky enough to purchase some to bring back to the master this time?"

"Of course, you all have come a long way from White Eagle, and it will take some time before you return. It will not be a problem to prepare it before you return."

Zhenhai responded with a smile, but his hands did not slow down at all.

The brewing methods of green tea and black tea are different. In addition, Zhenhai does not use a simple daily brewing method, but instead uses a more sophisticated tea art method to present it, which naturally takes more time and requires more processes.

As they talked, she brewed the tea in her hand, and Belfast focused completely on the tea in front of him.

The matter about the transaction and the cargo on the ship seemed to be forgotten by both of them at this moment. It was not until nearly half an hour later that Zhenhai felt that the time was almost right and took the lead in bringing the topic back.

"I wonder what Miss Belfast wanted to sell me in the deal she mentioned earlier?"

Seeing Zhenhai took the initiative to bring up this topic, Belfast calmly took out a metal box from the ship's space and placed it aside.

The metal box made a muffled sound when it was placed on the ground. The contents inside were obviously quite heavy. Since the two of them were sitting opposite each other at the tea table, Zhenhai had no choice but to pick it up from the ground and place it in front of him, then carefully opened it.

The top layer inside the metal box is a file bag, and underneath is a piece of metal debris wrapped in sponge.

It looked like part of some metal object, with one edge showing signs of melting and the other edge showing an irregular fracture shape.

The entire piece of metal is about the size of two hands spread out and put together. The surface is flat but not completely smooth, and it feels surprisingly heavy for a person of this size.

"This... seems to be some kind of wreckage?"

Zhenhai had already made some guesses, but still chose a more euphemistic statement.

However, Belfast had no intention of hiding anything and said bluntly:

"You can see that these are the remains of the mass-produced Siren."

Closing the box and pushing it back to its previous position, Zhenhai looked at Belfast with a hint of doubt in his eyes.

"In that case, Miss Belfast, you should also know that this kind of thing is not uncommon. After all, sirens are everywhere now, and Donghuang is no exception."

"So has Donghuang seen the mass-produced Type II Siren now?"

Belfast took out a terminal as he spoke, quickly opened a video file, and then turned the terminal towards Zhenhai.

The video clearly records the mass-produced Sirens, which have the same appearance but completely different colors from ordinary Sirens. It also records the scenes of other ship girls attacking those Sirens and the scenes after the attack was completed.

Zhenhai watched the video carefully and soon found something incongruous.

"These Sirens seem to be stronger?"

"Yes, Miss Zhenhai."

Belfast took back the terminal and said calmly:

"These Sirens appeared in the sea area of White Eagle earlier. They bypassed the front line and the defense zones of multiple port areas and appeared near a mother port. They ambushed the ship girls of the White Eagle headquarters in Azur Lane."

"I have heard about this matter. But judging from the situation in the relevant reports, the battle ended even faster than before when the commander was not present, and the Siren's ambush also failed, right?"

In fact, what Zhenhai said was already very conservative. Although Donghuang was mysterious to the outside world, it never missed any necessary information.

What's more, after the incident, White Eagle directly informed other camps within Azur Lane. How could Zhenhai, as a manager here, not be aware of the relevant situation?

“Yes, but that’s because there was a commander on site who temporarily took over command.

But according to my survey of many shipgirls who participated in the war at that time, although the combat effectiveness of these Sirens is not much different from that of ordinary Sirens, there are clear signs of improvement in flexibility and armor strength compared to the previous Type I.
