"Oh my God, he's so tall." Hermione moved closer to Andy, as if wanting to get first-hand information from him.

"Lumos!"

Andy waved his wand and explained in a low voice: "He might be a half-giant. But you just need to know it in your heart. Don't tell anyone. They don't like this word very much."

The crowd moved slowly forward, and Hagrid pointed ahead and looked back and said, "Turn this corner and you'll soon see Hogwarts for the first time."

At the end of the narrow path is a black lake. On the high hillside on the other side of the lake stands a towering castle with spires everywhere and windows flickering under the starry sky.

"No more than four people on each boat!" Hagrid shouted, pointing to the small boats on the shore of the lake.

Andy, Hermione and Neville got on one boat. Ron looked at them and had to pull Harry onto another boat.

Andy noticed that a little boy with platinum hair and a fat kid got on the same boat with Harry and Ron.

"Hello, my name is Michael Corner." The last person on Andy's ship was a little boy with black hair.

"Hello there!"

Several people greeted each other.

After the little wizards got on the boats, all the small boats automatically sailed towards the castle.

Everyone was silent, gazing at the towering castle. As the boat approached the cliff where the castle stood, the castle seemed to tower over everyone's heads.

"How beautiful!" Andy whispered.

Hogwarts Castle is still very stylish, especially considering that the castle has a history of thousands of years. Even before entering school, Andy had already begun to look forward to the next seven years of school life.

The boat continued forward, following a dark tunnel to the cliff shore, arriving at a place similar to a dock.

"Hey! Look, is this your toad?" The little wizards got off the boat one after another. Hagrid found a golden-backed toad when he was checking the empty boat.

"Oh! Thank God." Neville shouted ecstatically.

"It just appeared on its own," Hermione said, looking at Andy.

Andy tilted his head. "I bet Neville has forgotten he has a toad."

Hermione glanced at Andy in reproach, but didn't say much because she thought so too.

Everyone followed Hagrid forward, climbed up a flight of stone steps, and stopped in front of a huge oak door.

"Is everyone here?"

Hagrid shouted, raised his huge fist and knocked on the castle door three times.

The door slowly opened, and a tall witch in an emerald robe stood in front of the castle gate. She had a serious expression on her face, and Andy immediately thought of the dean of his previous life.

Just like Nun Miejue.

"First year, Professor McGonagall." Hagrid sounded like a weakling.

"Thank you, Hagrid. Leave this to me!"

Without any movement from Professor McGonagall, the castle gate suddenly opened, and the young wizards followed Professor McGonagall in quietly.

Andy waved his hand, motioning Hermione, Neville, Ron, and Harry to come over, and then said in a voice just small enough for Professor McGonagall to hear: "Fred and George told me that Professor McGonagall has a tabby cat..."

Chapter 14 George and Fred's reputation is harmed

Professor McGonagall turned around and looked at Andy. Andy smiled awkwardly and shut his mouth decisively.

Anyway, these are what George and Fred said. As for Harry, Ron and the others, just trick one of them if you can.

What if there’s a cat lover among them?

And there were quite a few little wizards who heard Andy talking, and there were always a few brave ones who wanted to pet Professor McGonagall's cat.

Someone always has to be particularly unlucky at Hogwarts, so why couldn't it be someone else?

Professor McGonagall took the first-year wizards to a small empty room at the other end of the hall. Everyone rushed in, rubbing shoulders with each other, staring at everything around them nervously.

"Welcome to Hogwarts."

Professor McGonagall said, "The opening banquet is about to begin, but before you enter the Great Hall and take your seats, first you all need to decide which house you will be attending."

"House sorting is a very important ceremony because the house is like your home during your stay. You will attend classes, live together, and spend your spare time together with other students in the house."

All the little wizards were silent and looked at Professor McGonagall nervously.

Professor McGonagall continued, "The names of the four houses are: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin."

"Each academy has a glorious history and has produced many outstanding wizards and witches. I hope that you will perform well during your time at school, bring glory to the academy, and win the final academy cup."

"Once you violate the school rules, you will be punished. In serious cases, you may even be expelled from Hogwarts."

"In a few minutes, the Sorting Ceremony will be held in front of the entire school. I suggest that you tidy yourself up and look more energetic while you wait."

After she finished speaking, Professor McGonagall's eyes moved between Harry, Ron, and Malfoy.

Andy followed Professor McGonagall's gaze and looked at the others.

"What's wrong with you two?" Andy asked.

I didn't notice it when they were outside before, but now I look closely, Harry and Ron look like they just came back from the battlefield, their clothes are disheveled, and Ron even has a bruise on his face.

"Not Malfoy yet!"

Ron said angrily, "He was on the same ship as us... but we gave him a good beating."

Professor McGonagall glanced at the few people, and Andy and the others immediately shut up. "Please keep quiet while you wait."

With that, Professor McGonagall left the room.

Harry and Ron were obviously relieved, and they hurriedly adjusted their clothes so that they would look less dishevelled.

The Sorting is about to begin, and the young wizards are obviously very nervous.

Harry asked curiously, "How can they accurately sort us into which house?"

Ron said vaguely, "I guess we have to pass some tests! George and Fred said it would do us a lot of harm. But I think they were joking."

"They really are kidding you."

Andy chuckled and said, "I have exchanged some information with George and Fred before. Ron, you should know that after they were sorted, they just stayed in bed for one night, and they were fine the next day."

"So I guess the branch really didn't do us much harm."

Gudong!

Ron swallowed, Harry's heart trembled violently, and Neville's legs were shaking with nervousness. He seemed to have gone mad and stood there like an idiot.

Whether it's taking a test in front of the entire school or spending a night in bed after getting injured, these are the last things they want to experience.

"Didn't you say you didn't know about the Sorting?" Hermione looked at Andy suspiciously.

"I really don't know." Andy shrugged, "But George and Fred did stay in bed for a whole night to recover after the Sorting."

The only difference was that they were not lying on hospital beds, but on beds in the Gryffindor dormitory.

All the young wizards were a little frightened, and Hermione began to mutter to herself, reciting the spells she had learned.

"Andy, is there any spell that can be learned quickly?" Ron turned his head to look at Andy and asked nervously.

Andy patted Ron's shoulder. The boy looked terrified. "Even if there is, it's too late now."

"what!!!"

At this moment, several people suddenly screamed loudly.

"That is--"

Hermione squeezed Andy's arm tightly, almost choking with fear.

"Don't be nervous, it's a ghost." Although Andy has always lived in the magical world, this is the first time Andy has seen a ghost.

Andy was very curious about the life form of ghosts.

If conditions allowed, Andy really wanted to slice the ghost and study it carefully.

About twenty ghosts came through the wall at the back. These translucent, pearly white ghosts whispered to each other as they moved across the room.

The little wizards were almost scared to death.

Fortunately, Professor McGonagall came back at this time, and the ghosts floated away, filing through the opposite wall and disappeared.

"Now, in single file..."

Professor McGonagall looked around, and the little wizards suddenly fell silent, "Follow me!"

After everyone pushed and shoved into a line, Professor McGonagall led the little wizards out of the room, through the entrance hall, and through a double door into a luxurious hall.

It is said to be luxurious, but that is only true for this era.

What kind of five-star hotels had Andy not stayed in in his previous life?

After being accustomed to the luxury of the 21st century, when you look at the Hogwarts Great Hall, you will find that it is actually just of average standard.

Including the twinkling stars on the ceiling, it can actually be achieved using computer technology.

It’s just that the former is magic and the latter is technology.

It is difficult to tell who is superior and who is inferior in technology and magic. They are actually both magical. It's just that technology borrows external force, while the power of magic comes from itself.

This is the most fundamental difference between the two.

Andy glanced around.

Thousands of candles were floating in the air above the auditorium, the candlelight flickering. The spacious auditorium, illuminated by the candlelight, had quite a bizarre atmosphere.

The other students of Hogwarts were already seated on either side of four long tables, which were decorated with gleaming golden plates and tall wine glasses.

There was another long table on the stage at the top of the auditorium, which was the seat for the teachers.

There are about a thousand young wizards in Hogwarts, but Andy's class has a little less.

(One thousand students is the official number given by Rowling)

After all, the wizarding world is a micro-society, and you can't expect the same number of children to be born here every year.

Chapter 15 There are only two useless men left

Professor McGonagall gently placed a four-legged stool in front of the first-year student, and placed a wizard's hat on the stool. The hat was very shabby, patched, worn, and extremely dirty.

Is this the Sorting Hat?

Magical version of artificial intelligence?

Andy looked at the Sorting Hat curiously.

If this was a robot, Andy would at most just take a second look.

But it's a magic hat.

Although it seems somewhat similar to the functions of artificial intelligence, magic always seems more magical.

The hat suddenly twisted, and the wrinkles on it made it look like it had two more eyes and a mouth.

Everyone in the auditorium stared at the hat, and the hat began to hum and sing.

"You may think I'm not pretty,

But never judge a book by its appearance,

If you can find a prettier hat than mine,

I can eat myself.

……

Come wear me! Don't be afraid!

Don't panic!

In my hands (though I have none) you are perfectly safe,

Because I am a thinking magic hat! "

After Hat finished singing the song, the audience burst into applause.

Everybody seemed to be giving respect, and Andy could even hear George and Fred whistling amid the deafening applause.

I hope Professor McGonagall won't kill you.
