Warhammer 40,000: Mortal Gods

Chapter 27 I need a psyker

"Where are you...bastard..."

"The Emperor's blessing...the Legion Commander's blessing..."

Duncan was so anxious that he began to pray to Qin Mo, asking his creation to exert more powerful capabilities at this time, such as broadening the range of biological scanning.

However, this function was not originally used to find people. The design concept was for infantry to clean up nearby surviving enemies after the battle.

While monitoring the HUD in the visor, Duncan ran wildly at the increased speed of the power armor. When he headed due north, there was finally a red dot on the biometric scanning interface.

Humans: 1.

When the result appears, the location of the red dot is directly marked in the HUD field of view, allowing the power armor wearer to see the target more intuitively.

Duncan breathed a sigh of relief and cautiously moved towards the location of the red dot. He did not forget to hide while ensuring high-speed action as much as possible.

After two minutes of tracking, Duncan hid on a metal slope and observed the situation directly ahead.

Albert was walking alone, his eyes glowing purple in the dark environment.

He kept walking, like a zombie.

Duncan subconsciously wanted to rush over and pull Albert back, and his brain thought quickly and concluded that this was feasible.

If Albert's blind march was caused by psychic energy, then the psychic suppression device integrated into the power armor could slightly isolate the influence of psychic energy.

But just before Duncan was about to rush over, he saw a group of rebels on motorcycles galloping from a distance.

After approaching Albert, one of the bald women jumped off the motorcycle, looked at Albert excitedly, looked him up and down, and spoke while moving her mouth up and down.

He was too far away to hear what she said, but Duncan's HUD zoomed in on the woman's mouth and then analyzed her mouth shape.

A string of text appeared in the field of vision: We finally caught an enemy, take him back, I want to find the location of the human freak through him.

After Albert got on the motorcycle and was taken away, Duncan did not rush over immediately but followed silently and kept a distance.

Duncan didn't stop until after two hours of tracking, Albert was led into an abandoned metal-gathering well.

Looking at the deep hole of the metal collection well, Duncan squatted on the ground in anger and worry, holding his head and thinking about what was the best decision for him next.

Eventually Duncan chose to return and report what he saw.

The fortress where the 47th Regiment resides.

Qin Mo was building a machine in an underground cave to deduce the location of the Genestealer Clan Leader, and then he learned from Klein what was reported from Duncan.

Qin Mo understood the whole thing in an instant, which was easy to guess.

It was obviously Albert who ran out to show off, and was controlled by the rebel psyker when he found the opportunity, and was then taken away.

It would be extremely outrageous and surprising for something like this to happen to the Imperial Astra Militarum, but not to the Planetary Defense Force.

Qin Mo knew clearly that the combat effectiveness and quality of the Planetary Defense Force were not even comparable to Cato's militia.

"With all due respect, I have long said not to have high expectations for our Planetary Defense Force." Klein said helplessly, and then asked habitually: "What should we do next?"

"Psychic..." Qin Mo looked at the machine he was building, "I need a rebel psyker, very much."

Klein didn't know why Qin Mo needed psykers, but he knew that Qin Mo's needs must be reasonable.

"Let Gray and Grote clean the collection well." Qin Mo raised his head and looked at Klein, "I only have one request, bring back the psyker, or they can bring back the psyker's head. The premise is that the brain tissue is not dead."

"Yes." Klein turned around and walked out of the cave.

Qin Mo continued to enjoy the process of creation.

Two minutes later.

An unmanned transport aircraft flew over the metal collection well.

Gray and Grote immediately jumped off the transport plane and entered the collection well. They were two meters apart to prevent their own gravity shields from hurting each other.

"I'm responsible for the front, you are responsible for the rear." Gray said.

"Leave it to me, brother." Grote turned his back to Gray, and the picture behind him immediately appeared on his visor HUD, allowing him to walk backwards freely.

After going deep underground, Gray turned on thermal imaging and started life detection.

As the life detection wave scanned the entire mine, Gray suddenly heard a rustling sound, and then several crawling monsters appeared directly in front of him.

These monsters are very different from humans and are collectively called aliens in the human empire.

The alien crawled along the walls of the collection well at extremely fast speeds.

Gray raised his hands and released shotgun lasers with his right hand to block the path of the aliens. The prosthetic left hand built for him by Qin Mo himself released its core function at this time.

After clenching the fingers of his left hand, all the aliens in front exploded, and biological tissues were scattered throughout the passage.

At this point the biometric scan is also over.

"We've hit the alien nest." Gray said, looking at the scan results on the HUD.

In the scan results, there were densely packed red dots nearby. After the specific locations of these red dots were marked in the field of view, those red marks had to be diluted to prevent Gray from seeing only all the marks.

"I can't even see the way out." Grote calmly watched the two people's retreat. A large number of aliens had blocked the exit and crawled towards the two people.

When the first alien approached and was crushed by the gravity shield, Groot charged forward a few steps and crushed several aliens, then stopped in front of one of the larger aliens and swung out the gravity hammer in his hand.

After the aliens were smashed into 2D patterns by the gravity hammer, the gravity shield was turned on again, crushing the aliens that were about to pounce on Groat.

The alien offensive was temporarily blocked. Gray turned off the gravity shield and approached the corpses to inspect them.

These aliens are different from most of the rebels, with only subtle human-like biological structures present in them.

Gray photographed the corpses of the creatures and removed biological tissue collection equipment from the jetpack.

This is a device distributed to everyone who wears top-level power armor. It looks like a pistol and can automatically extract biological tissue when inserted into a corpse.

This was Qin Mo's backup plan for his big plan. If he couldn't kill the clan leader, he would at least find a way to get his blood and biological tissue.

Gray believes that it is necessary to extract the biological tissues of these new aliens.

"Keep going, brother." Gray reactivated the gravity shield, raised the shoulder cannon of the power armor and pointed it forward, "We don't have time to fight with these things, hurry up and complete the mission."

As soon as he finished speaking, the shoulder cannon, which was adjusted to cannon mode, released a torrent of beams, directly melting the metal on the upper wall of the channel directly in front until a straight channel was ejected.

This passage originally went downwards, but thanks to Gray's kind help, a straight passage was now made.
