Kara joined everyone in the living room after a minute of getting dressed and five minutes of trying to eliminate the embarrassment from Logan seeing her naked.
Hannah immediately addressed Kara, "I know it doesn't mean anything to you but I'm glad you guys made up."
"Thanks," Kara said, avoiding looking at her. She turned to Michael "We really need a witch to spell this place so you guys can't hear everything."
"I second that," said Hannah. "Anyway, on to pressing matters. My servant says that Elijah is planning a coronation to make himself leader of the Caswell clan."
"When is it happening?" asked Kara.
Hannah shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure, but my servant will keep us up to date."
"Speaking of servants, I saw that woman that was at the masquerade ball, you know, the one that stabbed me," Kara glared at Hannah with accusing eyes.
"Again...sorry," Hannah said with a tad bit of annoyance.
"Who is she?" asked Amy.
"I don't know. She was at my crime scene today, and she was still wearing that mask. When I tried to talk to her she was already gone."
"Mad Hatter?" asked Kara skeptically. "Like Alice in Wonderland?"
"Sort of. It's a Powell clan game. We pick a target and mess with their minds. Eventually, they go crazy. Then once they have nothing left to live for, we kill them," she replied, twirling her hair around her finger.
"The Powells have always been a psychopathic lot," mumbled Alex as he appeared next to Kara.
The room fell quiet. All eyes cut to Hannah, "Alex?" Hannah said with shock, breaking the silence. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as her body gave way. Michael caught her just before she hit the ground.
"Wasn't expecting that reaction," said Alex.
Kara couldn't believe he risked their advantage by revealing himself, "What are you doing up here?"
"I overheard. If you are going up against Elijah, it's time for me to step in. Plus, I've been in that cellar for 200 years. I couldn't spend another day in there."
"Hmmmmmm," the sound of Hannah waking up, cut the riff between the two of them short. Michael sat on the table and leaned over her. Kara stood behind him. Michael explained the situation while she listened with wide eyes.
"You must be thrilled to have your dad back," she finally said, still shaken with disbelief.
"I am," he smiled at his dad. "I've missed him," he responded turning his attention back to Hannah.
"I'm happy for you," she said as she placed her hand on top of his.
"In order for us to have the upper hand, this can't get out," Kara interrupted.
"I won't say anything," she replied.
"Time will tell." Kara still could not let go of her suspicion. The tension between herself and Hannah was broken when she received a text. She looked down at her cell. "Um. It's Grant. I have to go."
"Now?" Michael complained.
"Sorry. I'll be back." she grabbed her jacket from the closet and began heading toward the door. Her gaze still glued to her phone's screen.
Hannah and Michael exchanged a glance, "You're worried about her." Michael observed from the troubled look on her face.
"Pfffft. No." Hannah quickly denied.
"She can handle herself," Michael assured Hannah, but she wasn't so sure.

The clouds hid the stars, making it pitch black outside. The wind howled and penetrated Kara's bones. It was around 2:00 A.M., and Kara found herself in front of Alyssa's grave. She pulled the coat up around her neck to stay warm, the air stinging her chest with each breath. She stood there for ten minutes before finally picking up a shovel she found on the creepy grounds. She pierced the cold, hard ground with the tool as she began to dig up the dirt.
"What are you doing?!" shouted Hannah, running through the cemetery gate.
"You're following me?"
"I knew something was wrong. Don't do this, you'll hate yourself," Hannah said.
"Read this," Kara handed Hannah her cell phone. The blue light reflected off Hannah's face as read the text:
From: Unknown
-Tick Tock around the clock, a sister's bond never stop
1,2,3,4,5, a sister's love will never die
"What am I'm looking at?" she asked, confused.
"That's a song that Alyssa made up. She sang those lyrics to the tune of "Ring around the Roses" when she was a kid.
"They are messing with you Kara!" Hannah said sternly.
Kara shook her head with tears in her eyes. "It can't be them. Alyssa and I were the only ones who knew the song. It was our song."
"I'm calling Michael," Hannah slipped off her cashmere glove to dial his number.
Kara's icy cold hand grabbed Hannah's. Hannah looked up to protest, only to see a mixture of tears and fear in Kara's eyes. "Please, don't," she begged as her voice trembled.
"Ughhhh. Fine" she said as she reluctantly placed her phone back in her pocket.
Kara continued to dig. She looked over at Hannah. "If you want to prove yourself, grab that shovel over there and help me dig."
Hannah walked over to the shovel. "Why not? I'm going to regret this anyway. I've already destroyed my favorite pair of Jimmy Choos," she said looking at the mud covering her soles.
They continued to dig, despite the rain that started to fall on them. Through the cold, Kara continued digging. Together, the job was much easier, and 25 minutes later, they reached Alyssa's casket. Kara took a deep breath and let it out slowly, creating a cloud of air in front of her. Finally, she pried open the lid.
"Well?" Hannah asked, but Kara didn't answer.
Slowly, she climbed out of the grave, but she didn't speak. Instead, she stared off into the distance, "It's empty."
Hannah immediately addressed Kara, "I know it doesn't mean anything to you but I'm glad you guys made up."
