Chapter 2258 A Year of Prosperity

Chapter 2258 A Thousand Years of Blooming Flowers (Part 2)

Chapter Five: The Era and Fate of Primary Colors

Before the ninth century of the Common Era, during the Age of Galactic Exploration, and in the homeworld era of all civilizations, the so-called "Rebel Army" was actually a very general historical term.

However, after the ninth century, in almost all contemporary historical documents, the term "righteous army" was reduced to a single concept: a military organization that "used primary ideology and ideals as its action program to overthrow class oppression and establish an ideal state of equality."

The hundred years following the end of the Omnic Wars, which corresponds to the ninth to the first half of the tenth century in the Common Era, was the most prosperous period for the primary color movement in the Milky Way.

After 850 years of common history, the Primal Color Commune, the Cherk People's Front, and the Sanzu Republic were successively established, and all of them became official members of the Galactic Civilization Council in the 70s.

They have only one thing in common: they were all oppressed by two great civilizations, they were all rebels against the Empire and the Alliance, and they were all built by "rebel armies".

During the One Year War, the Katun dynasty of the Kingdom of Cherk was destroyed by the Empire, and the original Kingdom of Cherk disintegrated.

Several small kingdoms were established on the ruins of the kingdom, but they were constantly at war with each other for the next few decades. By 865, the Kingdom of Cerchi and the Grand Duchy of Cerchi had become members of the Galactic Civilization Council along with the People's Republic of Cerchi.

They were the victors of nearly thirty years of warlord infighting. Apart from the Republic, which was established by Marshal Akbar in conjunction with the Primal Organization, the rulers of the other two were both from branches of the Katun royal family and were supported by the Empire and the Alliance.

While Marshal Akbar, as the founding father, inevitably possessed some warlord traits, he was perhaps the most progressive warlord of his time. He cooperated extensively with various factions in the Primal Star System, importing instructors and the latest military technology from the Second Republic, quickly restoring the nation's strength. At the time of Marshal Akbar's death, the Republic of Cherk, with only half the territory of the former Kingdom, had already surpassed the Kingdom's peak in industrial output and GDP.

If it weren't for the full support of external powers behind the Kingdom of Cerci and the Grand Duchy, the Cerci people might have been unified again before the end of the ninth century.

Of course, even so, everyone felt that it was only a matter of time.

The People's Republic of Cherk also has a staunch ally: a new nation established in the Sanzu Starfield by Imperial exiles. These exiles, fleeing Imperial oppression, resolutely crossed the dangerous starfield of the Abyss Nebula, establishing their first colony in the interstellar gap between the Femo Starfield and Cherk, followed by their own orbital cities, and then began developing the planet.

The true nature of this emerging country is thus revealed.

They were founded from the outset to overthrow imperial tyranny.

In addition, there was the original color commune state, which was destined to leave a glorious chapter in history.

Their founders were once considered terrorists, pirates, bandit warlords, and even cults. They were no different from any of the warlords who once rallied in the Femo Nebula.

For a long time, this was how the nations viewed them.

After they seized the Empire's Colossus weapons, they were regarded as the most dangerous illegal military organization in the entire universe.

In the year 837 of the Common Calendar, the Regency Council of the Galactic Empire even proposed a joint annihilation campaign to the Alliance. King Werrent explicitly stated that the most powerful weapons must be in the hands of true civilizations.

The implication is that humanity is the only form of civilization. What kind of monstrosities are the "misfits" of the Original Color Commune?

Even as Emperor Elisel had just passed away and the Galactic Empire was being soundly defeated by the tiny Earthlings, the Regency Council still gathered a massive annihilation fleet at Wanwang Pass, preparing to march on Femor once again.

At the time, people thought it was about competing with the Alliance for Femor and protecting the newly expanded frontier territories. It wasn't until the data was unlocked a century later that everyone realized that the two superpowers had actually reached a tacit agreement and were really preparing to strangle this small, nascent nation in its cradle.

If it weren't for the outbreak of the Omnic Wars, perhaps the Primal Color Commune would not have had its subsequent future.

Once known as the "Scepter of the Emperor," the colossus weapon was renamed "Militia One" by the Primal Commune. During the Omnic Wars, under the guarantee of the Second Republic, this colossus weapon accompanied the Commune's fleet through the Southern Gate, officially joining the war to protect all galactic civilizations.

After testing and adjustments, the Colossus Weapon's concept weapon, with its strong interaction force, can not only destroy stars across galaxies but also carry out precise strikes against planetary targets across galaxies, making it the most powerful offensive weapon of the Galactic Civilization Alliance.

During the ten-year war, Minuteman 1 made outstanding contributions, but was destroyed in the Second White Rainbow System War in 845.

Objectively speaking, the Primal Color Commune lost a strategic weapon that threatened the bipolar world, but in a sense, it gained diplomatic recognition from most countries in the galaxy. Whether this was a loss or a gain, only the parties involved can say for sure.

After joining the Galactic Civilization Council, the Primal Color Commune once unified half of the Femo Starfield and merged with the former Ero royal family, reaching the peak of its power.

This first and largest multi-ethnic nation in the entire universe seems to truly represent all the ideals of co-prosperity.

Their success gave hope to all civilizations and races in the universe that were trying to resist human tyranny.

Because of the existence of the insect swarm, these original color kingdoms, which were originally isolated by powerful human hegemony and various traditional countries, now have space and direction for communication.

The earliest original nations even spread their ideas to the New World, uniting with native civilizations that wanted to escape the oppression of galactic colonists.

In the year 880 of the Common Calendar, the Fourth Cosmic Primal Color Conference was held on Earth. This time, the number of primal color organizations participating in the conference, those that had gained ruling power, and even primal color militia organizations from the New World exceeded 200.

Vladimir Bean, then chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Primal Color Commune, was elected as the new chairman of the Executive Committee of the Cosmic Primal Color Conference. This farm boy from a remote planet of the Alliance issued a declaration to the entire universe.

"Two worlds, all worlds, will unite! We will ignite the universe, we will bring true immortality to all people!"

Who could have imagined that such a voice would gradually fade away during the ensuing millennium of prosperity, until it could never be heard again?
Volume VI: The Swarm's Journey and Beyond the Stargate

The insect swarm never stops moving, which is the most fundamental difference between them and all carbon-based social civilizations.

In a broad sense, humanity, or rather, a carbon-based social civilization, would be content with a comfortable planet, a well-developed space city, a prosperous star sector, and an empire that would provide enough food and drink for future generations.

But the swarm doesn't. For this truly space-dwelling race, "satisfaction" is a non-existent emotion—all the nests left on stable planets are more like beacons in hyperspace.

"Evolve! Evolve! Evolve at all costs!"

This may be the only reason for the existence of insect swarms, and also the greatest driving force that propels them to keep exploring.

Since the ninth century of the Common Era, the expansion of galactic civilization has remained confined to a small star field of two thousand light-years around the eight star gates, much like a few isolated islands in a vast ocean.

This isolated island was so prosperous and wealthy that it kept all the colonists from leaving, making them complacent and unwilling to make any progress.

The ruler of the swarm, yet yearning to continuously explore the unknown ocean.

She has even set her sights on places far beyond the New World.

The swarm's actions even garnered support from many human explorers (in a broad sense). They boarded the Leviathan swarm's bio-ships with their instruments and research reports, sharing meals and lodging with the Zerglings and Hydralisks, willing to explore the ancient beyond together.

And so, the Leviathans, carrying the seeds of life, sailed one after another into the unknown. Some never returned, while others sent back fragmented data ten years later. Of course, some strayed from their mission and started doing business with various rebel forces—they wouldn't directly wage war against human fleets, but they had no qualms about providing transport services to the rebels.

The swarm has even sheltered "dangerous individuals" wanted by major powers.

This group has never been a formal member of the Galactic Civilization Council, has never signed any written treaties, and therefore international law has no jurisdiction over them.

Yet they are already considered members of civilized society. After the Omnic Wars, even the most extreme Imperial Purifiers abandoned the possibility of eradicating them.

In the Age of Flourishing, the transcendent Zerg swarms were not only explorers, but also always played a part as arbitrators in remote star sectors beyond the reach of human hegemony.

In December of the Common Calendar 999, as the millennium celebration of the era was about to begin, the explorers of the Swarm sent forth the grandest gift of the millennium.

Star Gate.

A brand new stargate.

A massive, intact, yet still dormant stargate.

It lies dormant in an inconspicuous, remote star system in the "New World," 29,000 light-years away from the Tower of Babel controlled by the Blue Star Republic, 32,000 light-years away from the Seven Luminaries Gate of the Alliance, and 35,000 light-years away from the Hengchen Pass of the Empire.

Such a near-perfect triangular combination seems to have been born for all of humanity, rather than for any particular hegemon.

Is it the entrance to another cosmic highway leading to the Milky Way galaxy?
After lengthy discussions, the joint scientific expedition team from various countries concluded that this still-functioning stargate connects to another galaxy cluster beyond the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy.

This is yet another new galaxy cluster.

What followed was a natural progression. Realizing they couldn't monopolize the power, the three superpowers set aside their differences and cooperated sincerely. They rallied all the technologically advanced nations in the galaxy, inviting them to contribute their most valuable technologies and resources to establish an unprecedented joint research station in the star sector where the stargate was located.

One hundred and fifty years after the end of the Omnic Wars, all civilizations have come together once again.

Scientists from more than a dozen civilizations, with different languages, ways of thinking, daily routines, and even the composition of their breath, have all come together with a common goal: to restart this stargate.

Yes, the Galactic Civilization has already mastered the theoretical foundation in this area.

In 855, after the end of the Omnic Wars, Professor Zinov of the Earth Republic proposed the famous "high-dimensional string resonance" theory, which for the first time clearly constructed a theoretical model of multidimensional spatial folds.

This is a plausible theory. At least it is mathematically valid.

Of course, given the experimental physics and engineering capabilities of the Galactic civilization at that time, it might have taken hundreds of years of materials research to conduct experimental verification.

But now, isn't the Stargate a natural testing ground?

Through Professor Zinov's "high-dimensional string resonance" analysis, this new L9 stargate can indeed construct a completely different spatial model compared to the eight previously discovered stargates leading to the Milky Way.

The next step is to try to restart it little by little, based on the research reserves of astrology over the past two hundred years and the recorded energy guidance models.

"This is only the first step we take after leaving the cradle."

"We don't yet know how to build a stargate, but at least we need to know how to open it, how to maintain it, and how to repair it."

"The rise and fall of cosmic civilizations, and the other side of higher-dimensional worlds, are in our hands."

"Compared to this great scientific research, the power games between countries seem so insignificant."

Scientists firmly believe this.

Of course, at that time, almost all civilizations and political systems believed that true world harmony might see the dawn because of this grandest scientific exchange in history.

In a sense, they might be right.

For the next hundred years, research and reverse engineering on opening stargates proceeded in an orderly manner. Although stargates were not opened directly, there were always unexpected surprises.

In the year 1077 of the Common Calendar, based on energy extraction from the L8 star gate and the increasing maturity of the high-dimensional string resonance theory, subspace travel technology finally achieved a breakthrough.

That ethereal dimension, which was always thought to be accessible only to psionicists, has finally been incorporated into the realm of physics and even engineering.

Scientists have discovered a striking similarity between the operating principle of the L8 portal and the "flying" ability of psionicists in the virtual realm. Both utilize higher-dimensional folds in the cosmic structure to travel from one point to another.

Higher dimensions are not found in space and the universe itself, but are manifested in the folds.

Subspace, or what is called the virtual realm, is not a higher-dimensional universe, but merely a projection of this universe.

It might be an interweaving of projections from many universes, thus creating this chaotic environment. Perhaps, beyond our universe, other universes exist.

Okay, that last sentence was just speculation. At least at the time, it was considered baseless conjecture.

Once this principle is understood, a technological explosion will be inevitable.

In the year 1285 of the Common Era, the first civilian spaceship powered entirely by a subspace engine successfully completed an intergalactic journey. It departed from Lumina in the Milky Way, captured subspace folds in space, traveled to the new continent of Hyrule, and then returned along the same route.

The round trip takes three weeks, according to Galaxy Standard Time.

For the same distance, if using the traditional gravity well route through the stargate, a round trip would take at least eight months.

Shipping costs dropped to less than one-tenth of their original level overnight.

Goods, people, information—everything is flowing at an unprecedented speed. The New World is no longer the New World; it's just next door.

And those more distant galaxies, those points of light that previously only existed in telescopes, suddenly became accessible places.

Prosperity has escalated once again in a way that no one anticipated.

People have even stopped considering opening the L8 portal.

Even without the legacy left to this generation of civilization by the enlighteners, they would still be able to reach even more distant parts of the universe.

This feat was accomplished in 1400.

An explorer whose entire body is 80% prosthetic, along with the parasitic protozoa inside his skull and his shipboard AI, has actually managed to sail successfully after a century of being lost in the warp.

A shipping route connecting the Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy, and the Triangulum Galaxy was thus opened.

The L8 stargate was successfully activated 42 years after this subspace route was opened.

Supplementary volumes include intelligent AI, prosthetics, and parasitic protozoa.
The rise of the swarm is a natural evolution, while the development of prosthetics and intelligent AI is a social issue.

A cybernetic explorer with no knowledge of psionics, carrying a parasitic protozoan inside his skull, wandered aimlessly in the warp for a century, but they survived and actually found their way.

Following the AI wars, humanity's attitude toward AI has become quite complex.

The day of judgment, marked by "mechanical rebellion," caused almost all military powers to suffer heavy losses in the early stages of the war, a memory that is unforgettable.

They should be wary of any advanced AI.

However, the scientific community almost unanimously believes that the reason why the ancient purge agreement has caused great harm to modern civilization is precisely because of the mainstream civilization's rejection of AI.

Because of rejection, there is ignorance. Because of ignorance, there is fear. Because of fear, there is no resistance.

At this point, it is no longer a scientific issue, or even just a sociological one, but a philosophical one.

However, as it turns out, in the later stages of the Omnic Wars, the robots belonging to "our side" still made great contributions to the continuation of civilization.

As a result, more advanced AI, more automated machines, and even more suitable prosthetics have all begun to develop rapidly.

As it turns out, the great prosperity of the past millennium was inseparable from the liberation and development of the aforementioned industries.

In the era of subspace shipping, the computing power requirements of waterways have far exceeded those of the gravity well era, and almost every civilian cargo ship has fully intelligent onboard AI.

The increasing prevalence of prosthetic bodies has also drastically changed the way carbon-based life forms survive, making it easier than ever for civilizations to expand into the frontiers.

A cybernetic colonist can adapt to various extreme environments and complete infrastructure construction without heavy equipment. Incurable diseases can be treated by replacing the body with a cybernetic body; irreversible damage can be repaired with a cybernetic body.

More importantly, compared to pure natural humans, they are better able to withstand the extreme environments and mystical crises in the warp, and can even fight against most of the virtual realm monsters.

Compared to the high cost of psionicists, prosthetic bodies are simply too cheap.

The improvement of the subspace route network is built on the indomitable courage of prosthetic explorers.

Chapter Nine: The Evolution of Primary Colors
The history of the original color commune is one of the most tortuous stories of peacetime.

During the most difficult years following the Omnic Wars, the Primal Commune once unified half of the Femor Starfield. Even the Alliance and the Empire were forced to shrink their spheres of influence under the threat of this multi-racial pioneer nation.

In the first half of the 10th century of the Common Era, there was even an example of a border lord of the Empire abandoning his pioneering journey in Femor and returning to the Celestial Realm only to be executed by the Empress.

Meanwhile, large numbers of the Ero raider tribes returned to Femor from the Heart of the Silver, hoping to be accepted by the Primal Commune.

They were once the masters of Femor, one of the most powerful war races in the galaxy, and later became the most ferocious and cunning raider race, the interstellar nomads of the heart of the galaxy.

Of course, after Queen Tomiteli's expedition that spanned 200 million light-years, the Ero almost lost the opportunity to return to the core of the cosmic civilization stage.

Now, the last million Ero people have chosen to surrender to the Commune State, hoping to be accepted.

The commune state, whose sole goal was to achieve a unified and civilized society, chose to accept this.

Many believe that the decline began when a large number of raider warlords and Ero nobles became part of the Commune.

In reality, the reasons for its decline are multifaceted.

In a time of prosperity spanning millennia, as the Empire entered its enlightened Second Dynasty, as the Alliance began implementing strict labor protection laws, as the Blue Star Republic began making revisions, and in a booming economic environment where everyone was engaged in the great exploration of the universe, all struggles seemed out of place.

The initial changes were minor.

It's just that private enterprises are expanding their business scope, more and more former nobles are entering the upper echelons of the commune, racial issues within the commune are starting to fester, and the commune is beginning to remotely control and even interfere in the internal affairs of the original color country of the New World.

Ironically, while the original color commune was "changing color" on its own soil, the original color concept and ideology continued to develop in the distant galaxy.

In the journey through subspace, only by prioritizing the needs of others can we unite everyone and move forward with one heart and one mind.

In the dark nebula of the Great Triangle, only when everyone works together can all the colonies weather the storm.

It is no longer grand, but it continues to burn. Perhaps one day, when someone needs it, it will unleash its most vibrant brilliance.

However, in the Milky Way itself, in the most prosperous and developed star field, the Primal Color Commune finally announced its dissolution in the Common Era 1191.

The Lothar, Elro, Umba, and humans, ultimately divided into seven nations based on race.

Of course, before them, the Circassians had already unified in 1150, becoming the Circassian Federation, which completely imitated the confederation's political system.

The Republic of Sanzu dissolved in 1100, giving rise to twelve semi-independent autonomous orbital city-states. Half of them chose to return to the embrace of the "Imperial Mother," and their mayors became various hereditary dukes. The other half chose to become exclaves of the Blue Star Republic, requesting the Pioneer Party government to station troops and send administrative officials.

As for the Blue Star Republic, the Pioneer Party is still undergoing revisions and is still in power.

Before the end of the Common Era, the Blue Star Republic, with Earth as its capital, will always be the most powerful primary color nation in the galaxy, and even the entire universe.

As for how much of the product is still of good quality, that's a matter of opinion.

Chapter Ten: Twilight of the Old Era

The Dawn Dynasty of the Galactic Empire, an ancient dynasty that ruled over most of the galaxy for nearly four thousand years, reached its peak when it transformed into the Second Dynasty.

The Tirelo, the most powerful conqueror race of the cosmic age, reached the pinnacle of their civilization during a thousand years of peaceful prosperity.

Building upon the foundation laid by Empress Brunhilde, the emperors of the Dawn Dynasty continuously consolidated and expanded their power.

They ensured a smooth transition of imperial power by absconding to their successors after fifty years on the throne.

They maintained the basic unity of the empire by balancing the power of the various lords.

They also cleverly used the development of the Senate system to limit the political power of military nobles and border lords, and to gain widespread support from all sectors.

While they completely abolished slavery and all racial discrimination policies, they consistently used various policies to ensure that the human population remained above 7% of the empire's total population.

While the empire’s scientific, cultural, intellectual, and economic spheres gained unprecedented vitality, the harm caused by racial conflict was also minimized.

They humbled themselves and cooperated extensively with the Earthlings, whom they could not conquer, to vigorously develop the Dawn Nebula and the Ring of Miracles.

By cleverly supporting the strength of the primary color nation-strike alliance, they have gained a broader strategic space for themselves.

Yes, in the post-Imperial era, there is ample evidence to suggest that from the moment Empress Brunhilde officially began her reign, the Empire chose to support rather than suppress the development of foreign primary states and organizations.

The evil Dawn Dynasty and the greedy Dragon Kings, ironically, became the most powerful behind-the-scenes supporters of these pioneers and revolutionaries.

At its peak, the empire spanned three star systems and colonized tens of thousands of planets.

Imperial warships and caravans patrol the main routes of the main universe and the warp, traversing various star systems. The Empire's cultural influence extends as far as the outskirts of the New World.

The Imperial Capital, the star system with 100,000 space cities surrounding the blue and green twin stars, is still regarded as the most dazzling pearl in the Milky Way and a holy land that countless people yearn for.

However, the rise and fall of a dynasty is an iron law of history.

When prosperity comes to an end, when massive economic development falters, and when the pace of exploration begins to slow, it is time to discuss ideology.

The emperors of the First Dynasty were elected by the citizens and nobles, while the emperors of the Second Dynasty were absolutely hereditary. When the citizens of the empire realized that they no longer needed a divinely ordained bloodline to rule them, it was time for the emperor to be abandoned.

In order to save the four-thousand-year glory of the Dawn Dynasty, the empire chose the only means with a chance of success—war.

This is destined to be a war with no winners.

This is destined to be a war in which everyone wins.

In 1918, five years after the end of the war, the last imperial emperor announced his peaceful abdication. The history of the Dawn Royal Family and the Tirrero military aristocracy came to an end.

Ten years after the emperor's peaceful abdication, the empire's archenemy—the Free Galaxy Alliance—also met its final fate. This republican federation, with a history of four thousand years and the oldest in the galaxy, was dissolved.

The 2000-year shared history has come to an end.

This marks the beginning of the multiverse calendar.
