Reboot the heyday

Chapter 3582 Relationship

"You bought so much? Looks like tonight's going to be a feast."

Liu Renna had already tidied up the kitchen, and now she looked at the bags and packages, examining each one. However, most of them were only semi-finished products.

Ji-eun took off her coat and went to the kitchen to look: "Unnie, let me help you."

"You say you want to eat healthily? Look at this, I'm starting to suspect you two are cheating on each other with food," Yoo In-na complained.

Ji-eun pursed her lips: "What? Unnie, what are you talking about?"

Yoo In-na said matter-of-factly, "It's normal for me to think that way. Maybe I ate something nice at some restaurant and came back to get this perfunctory meal."

Ji-eun realized, "Oh, it was this guy who stole the food?" She thought, "Oh, it's nothing."

"Cough cough, really not. It's just that my feet started hurting halfway through the walk." Ji-eun changed the subject: "I wore high heels today, so they weren't very comfortable."

"Alright, I don't need you, go and rest." Yoo In-na pushed Ji-eun out of the room: "I can do it."

"Then I'll help out." Ji-eun refused to leave.

Wang Taika came out after washing his hands and watched from the side. He simply said, "Stop arguing, let's do it together."

Ji-eun and Yoo In-na both looked at Wang Taika and asked almost in unison, "Who's with you?"

Wang Taika shamelessly said, "You two stay together, I'll rest."

Ji-eun laughed and grabbed Wang Taika: "Terrorist, come join us! Don't just sit around!"

So the three of them squeezed into the kitchen, one washing vegetables, one chopping meat, and one making soup. Ji-eun was in charge of washing vegetables, and Wang Taika was making soup. Yoo In-na even took on the role of chef, figuring out what to cook.

Because everyone was exhausted, they didn't make much noise. Wang Taika and Ji-eun were tired, while Yoo In-na was too hungry to talk.

After working like this for more than an hour, the kitchen was filled with steam and the aroma slowly wafted out.

Dinner is finally served.

The table was set with simple home-style dishes: pork rib soup, stir-fried beef, spinach salad, and a pile of kimchi.

Ji-eun and Yoo In-na hadn't eaten carbs in a long time, so they made a big bowl of bibimbap, planning to break their carb restriction today.

Although Yoo In-na is much older than Ji Eun-chan, in their relationship, Ji Eun-chan tends to take care of Yoo In-na more.

Ji-eun is precocious, while Yoo In-na is somewhat childish, creating a rather contrasting and interesting situation.

I even bought some strawberries at the supermarket. They were washed clean by Ji-eun and placed in a clear glass bowl. They were bright red and made me happy just looking at them.

The three of them sat around, like a family.

Ji-eun picked up a piece of pork rib, took a bite, and her eyes lit up: "Delicious!"

“That’s right,” Wang Taika said proudly. “I stewed it.”

“It was clearly me who cooked it well, okay?” Yoo In-na retorted with a smile.

"You two are both amazing, okay?" Ji-eun said, her mouth full of meat, her words muffled.

"Alright, everyone's a hero today, let's not argue anymore." Wang Taika couldn't help but laugh when he saw Ji-eun's expression.

Liu Renna looked at the two people in front of her, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes, but it quickly disappeared. She picked up a piece of tofu, put it in her mouth, and chewed it slowly.

She was only halfway through her meal when Ji-eun became too tired to keep her eyes open. Finally, unable to stay awake any longer, she said, "Unnie, you guys eat first, I'm going to lie down for a bit. I'm too tired today, I don't want to move."

Yoo In-na said with concern, "It's okay, I'll take care of it in a bit." Ieun waved her hand, "Unnie, no need for you to go through all that trouble. Let the terrorists handle it!"

"Huh?" Wang Taika was stunned: "Is there something else about me? No, what kind of person am I that you're making me do work?"

Because Ji-eun was sleepy and tired, she didn't feel like arguing with Wang Taika. She rubbed her eyes and said in a cute voice, "Oh, help me, you terrorist."

Holy crap, so gentle?
Wang Taika immediately changed his mind: "Okay, don't worry. You go and rest first."

Ji-eun's decision to have Wang Taika do chores seemed to be out of consideration for Yoo In-na and to prevent Wang Taika from getting tired. However, this action itself actually revealed a distinction between close and distant relationships.

Because Wang Taika is considered family by Ji-eun, it's only natural that he should do these chores. And Yoo In-na? Of course, she's a guest; how can a guest do chores?

Liu Renna pursed her lips, observing everything. Although she understood what was meant, she said nothing. In truth, she couldn't say anything.

"Okay, goodnight, terrorist. Goodnight, unnie."

Ji-eun yawned, but didn't go straight back to her room. She thought that if she lay down for a while, she might be able to rest and recover, so she nestled on the sofa, hugged a cushion, and a few seconds later, she was snoring softly.

It's strangely cute.

Although I'm very tired today and my feet are uncomfortable, I'm really happy today. I'm so happy that I just want to fall asleep and never wake up.

Wang Taika got up and gently covered Ji-eun with a blanket.

Today was actually a bit of a stretch. Ji-eun was already exhausted, having just finished an event. Then, not only did she go grocery shopping with Wang Tai-ka, but they also wasted a lot of energy going to the hotel.

So when I got back, I was completely exhausted and had to rest after eating only half of the meal.

Wang Taika was actually a little tired, but he didn't want to rest. Unlike Ji-eun, it was precisely because of the happiness he felt at that moment that Wang Taika didn't want to sleep. He wanted to stay in this moment longer and not let time slip away.

As Yoo In-na watched Wang Tae-ka cover Ji-eun with a blanket, she suddenly whispered, "She's really happy."

Wang Taika returned to his seat and asked, "What?"

"It's nothing." Yoo In-na didn't look at Wang Tae-ka, but only at the sleeping Ji-eun, her eyes filled with an indescribable emotion.

"Envious?" Wang Taika joked with a smile.

Liu Renna paused for a moment, then smiled, a very soft smile, without refuting: "Yeah, there is a little. But it has nothing to do with you."

Wang Taika was silent for a few seconds, then said, "You can too."

Yoo In-na looked at Wang Tai-ka with a complicated expression and asked, "Are you deaf? Didn't I say it has nothing to do with you?"

"No, you're going to turn on me like this?" Wang Taika said helplessly, "Are you sure you want to talk to me like this? Have you forgotten how I dealt with you before?"

"It's nothing more than that kind of thing." Liu Renna didn't want to get angry, but Wang Taika's words were just too jarring.

Liu Renna reminded her, "I accept that our relationship isn't entirely innocent. I won't regret what happened between us, because it was my choice. But now, Ji-eun is here, and so are we. On this relatively happy and warm evening, I still hope you remember your role and don't overstep your boundaries. You belong to Ji-eun, and as long as she's here, we have no relationship whatsoever. You have absolutely no right to care about me, not even a little bit."

Wang Taika was speechless.

Not wanting to embarrass Wang Taika, Liu Renna added, "These are all wonderful things that Ji-eun deserves. I have no right to share them. That's her light, shining only on her. Only when she's too busy to care for herself can I secretly bask in those scattered beams of light, and that's enough for me. So, if Ji-eun isn't here, then you can continue like this."

Wang Taika was indeed speechless.

The two looked at each other for a few seconds before Yoo In-na looked away first, then added, "Even so, it's still different."

Yes, they're different. Some things were different from the very beginning. (End of Chapter)
