This bustling commercial street is very lively with cars coming and going.

The street was lined with shops, including a burger joint that looked to be doing very well. A long line of cars stretched along the curved driveway next to it.

This is a drive-thru burger restaurant that offers a drive-thru service. Customers can drive into a dedicated lane and complete the entire process of ordering, paying, and picking up their food without getting out of their car.

This is undoubtedly very popular with drivers. Otherwise, parking, getting out of the car, walking to the restaurant, ordering, and waiting is a huge waste of time. With this drive-thru service, you can simply drive over, park at a window, and quickly complete your purchase. Drivers don't even need to get out of their cars, making it incredibly convenient and fast.

Of course, you can also walk into these burger joints and order from the main entrance, either for dining in, taking out, or ordering takeout.

Brinna originally intended to dine in, but she had only taken two steps when Chen Feng stopped her.

"What's wrong?" Brina looked at Chen Feng with some confusion.

Chen Feng looked at the burger shop, shook his head, and said, "I feel like something's not right there. Let's not go there for now."

Brinna knew that Chen Feng had amazing intuition, and hearing him say that, she was somewhat convinced, but still very doubtful.

She turned to look at the burger joint, somewhat dismissively, and said, "It looks pretty normal to me."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a loud sound rang out from the other side, like two cars had collided.

Chen Feng and Brina both looked toward the source of the loud noise.

The two cars appeared to have collided, which happened right in the drive-thru lane of the hamburger shop.

Naturally, the people in both cars quickly got out and began checking the condition of their vehicles.

The impact was very loud; both cars were badly damaged. The car that rear-ended the other one had its hood completely torn up. The car that was hit in front had its rear end completely dented.

The only saving grace was that the people in both cars were unharmed.

Many people nearby heard the noise and looked on curiously.

It's a common human failing to enjoy watching a spectacle, and before long, a large crowd had gathered around.

Brina was also very curious and pulled Chen Feng along, saying, "Let's go take a look too."

Chen Feng stopped her again, shaking his head and saying, "It's better not to watch this kind of commotion. If the two sides start fighting, we'll be caught in the crossfire and it would be too unlucky of us to be caught in the crossfire. You know, many of your people are armed."

Although Brina believed in Chen Feng, she was still somewhat skeptical of his words.

"It's just a regular rear-end collision, it shouldn't warrant the use of guns, right? Besides, there are so many people watching."

Chen Feng said solemnly, "Don't you know about road rage? Many people who were originally good-tempered get so angry that they speed up and cut off other cars just because someone overtakes them, and end up causing accidents. Some even get out of their cars and start fighting each other. There are quite a few of these kinds of incidents."

What Chen Feng said made sense. Brina nodded. "Then let's watch from here and see how they resolve this. You said something was off earlier; you weren't referring to this rear-end collision, were you?"

Brina was still somewhat skeptical. How could such a simple rear-end collision escalate to the point of drawing guns?

As soon as she had this thought, she heard a loud argument coming from the other side.

The sound of "Fuck, fuck" kept coming from the mouths of the people on both sides.

Especially the man in the car behind, a young man of mixed black and white descent with a buzz cut and tattoos all over his neck and arms, kept giving the middle finger to the chubby middle-aged white man who got out of the car in front, and kept swearing.

His female companion was a dark-skinned Black woman who also gave the middle finger to the driver of the car in front of her with great force.

Although the white male driver kept cursing back, it was clear that his pronunciation was not very good and his cursing skills were not high.

The couple opposite him were far more skilled than him, and besides, he was alone against two people; he simply couldn't win the verbal battle. He could only stand there, helplessly furious.

Instead of stopping while they were ahead, the couple in the car behind became even more smug when they saw the middle-aged white male driver being verbally abused until his face turned red and he was powerless to fight back. They continued to press their advantage, spewing out all sorts of trash talk and vulgar slang, and never lowering their middle finger.

Then, unsurprisingly, an accident occurred.

The middle-aged white man, his face completely flushed, suddenly turned around and ran back to his car, opened the door, and quickly pulled out a handgun.

Without hesitation, he fired at the two people in the car behind him, hitting the mixed-race man with the buzz cut who had been cursing incessantly.

Then another shot hit the black woman who had been giving him the middle finger.

The mixed-race man with a buzz cut was shot in the abdomen. He clutched his stomach, fell to the ground in terror, and could no longer speak or curse.

The Black woman also lay in a pool of blood, shot in the thigh, paralyzed on the ground, yet still had the strength to scream loudly.

After the two shots, the middle-aged white man who fired the shots seemed to have completely sobered up. He didn't go up to fire a second shot, but instead squatted on the ground with his hands covering his head, looking completely devastated.

The surrounding crowd finally realized what was happening, and immediately let out screams and scattered in all directions.

Chen Feng and Brina were less than fifty meters away from the gun. The moment the gun went off, Brina turned pale and immediately pulled Chen Feng to hide in a nearby shop.

The two bodyguards who had been following them, Wang Yichuan and Zhang Jianhui, finally came in handy. They rushed towards Chen Feng almost simultaneously and then stormed into the store next door.

This was a jewelry store, and the customers and the owner inside had obviously heard the gunshots outside.

The owner, who was standing behind the counter, immediately crouched down, took out a shotgun from under the counter, and pointed the muzzle at the door.

The shop owner was a burly, middle-aged Mexican man with a thick gold chain around his neck, a baseball cap, a T-shirt and shorts on his head, and a shotgun in his hand. He didn't show any panic and had a calm and composed expression, which gave the other people in the shop a great sense of security.

Clearly, this shop owner has experienced many shooting incidents like this, and is undoubtedly a ruthless character.

Wang Yichuan and Zhang Jianhui shielded Chen Feng and Brina behind them, blocking their way, and both faced the store entrance.

Their highly professional and dedicated attitude immediately made Chen Feng feel that paying them a high salary was well worth it.

Bodyguards are only useful in situations like this. Compared to your own personal safety, spending tens of thousands of yuan a month to hire them as bodyguards, who can take bullets for you in a critical moment, is simply too good to pass up.

The commotion on the street did not last long.

In less than five minutes, several police cars arrived at the scene with sirens blaring.

The middle-aged white man who shot and wounded two people remained at the scene and did not flee.

As soon as the police arrived, he threw away his gun, raised his hands, and was soon subdued by the police, handcuffed, and put into a police car.

Soon, the street returned to its bustling state, with cars and people coming and going, as if the shooting had never happened.

It just goes to show how adaptable the people here are; they've probably become accustomed to these kinds of shootings. After confirming it was safe, Chen Feng and Brina both relaxed.

Considering that the Mexican owner of the jewelry store had provided them with some protection, Chen Feng casually picked out a necklace and a gold ring, which together cost only $800.

Chen Feng readily swiped his card to pay, and then gave the necklace and gold ring to Brina.

Brinna, of course, did not refuse. She smiled happily and let Chen Feng put the platinum necklace and gold ring on her finger.

After leaving the jewelry store, Brina had completely recovered and her face was full of happy smiles.

After all, Chen Feng had just given her a necklace and a ring, especially the ring, which has special meaning for a woman.

Moreover, she had Chen Feng personally put it on her left middle finger, and the size was actually quite suitable.

Therefore, she had every reason to be happy, and even felt that Chen Feng was proposing to her.

"Darling, your intuition is truly amazing. You actually sensed that something was going to happen over there. I would never have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself. From now on, you're my god."

Brina looked at Chen Feng with admiration.

This kind of precognitive intuition is indeed amazing, and the fact that Chen Feng can use his own blood to treat terminally ill patients further proves that he is no ordinary person.

So even though she was a mistress to such a person, Brinna didn't feel wronged.

That's what she thinks anyway.

She fell in love with Chen Feng mainly because she was happy and comfortable with him, and Chen Feng was undoubtedly a handsome man who suited her taste.

As she learned more about Chen Feng, especially his special abilities, her love for him evolved into admiration and awe.

Good men and outstanding, handsome men are not uncommon in this world. But men with special abilities, or rather, special powers, are something she has only ever encountered in her entire life—Chen Feng is the only one she has ever met. Moreover, she believes that Chen Feng may be the only one in the world with special abilities, not to mention that Chen Feng only has one special ability.

Chen Feng wasn't particularly proud of this, responding calmly, "I just sensed there might be danger there, but it wasn't very strong. I didn't expect it to actually happen. In fact, as you saw, even if we went over there, there shouldn't have been any danger. The person who fired the shot was just acting impulsively out of anger. He calmed down after firing and didn't attack anyone else."

Chen Feng's previous feeling was indeed vague and not strong, so he knew that he and Brina should be safe.

But for safety's sake, he still stopped Brinna from going over.

Now, facts have proven that his intuition was correct.

Otherwise, if there were truly any danger to him or Brinna, he should have sensed it strongly yesterday or even the day before.

"You can't say that. Who knows if that person will suddenly go crazy and start shooting randomly in the crowd? So it's safest to stay away from there."

Chen Feng didn't want to continue this topic, so he changed the subject and asked:
"So, are we still going to this burger joint for a burger?"

Brina smiled and said, "Sure, why not? This chain burger shop has really good burgers. They don't have them in your country yet, and after this, I'll be going to Xiuzhou soon, so it'll be hard to find them again. Take this opportunity to have some."

Hearing her say that, Chen Feng immediately became interested: "Are the burgers at this burger joint really that delicious? How do they compare to McDonald's and KFC?"

“The burgers at these two places are getting worse and worse,” Brina said dismissively. “Anyway, I think this burger joint has the best burgers I’ve ever had. I’ll take you there to try them now.”

Chen Feng did not refuse.

Although I've already eaten breakfast, it's been more than an hour, so having another hamburger won't hurt.

Brina quickly led Chen Feng into the hamburger shop.

After ordering, we received two large hamburgers and two Cokes in less than five minutes. Neither of us ordered fries.

Chen Feng imitated Brina, holding the hamburger with both hands, opening his mouth wide and taking a big bite.

I must say, it actually tastes pretty good.

But as for whether it's much better than McDonald's or KFC, Chen Feng couldn't tell the difference.

It can only be said that this Chinese man isn't very interested in this kind of hamburger, doesn't eat it often, and isn't as experienced as Brina.

"How's it going? Is it delicious?"

Brina asked questions as she ate, hoping to gain his approval.

Chen Feng had no choice but to nod in agreement:

"Yeah, it's delicious."

Upon hearing Chen Feng's agreement, Brina happily said:
"I've been eating at this restaurant since I was a child. Anyway, the burgers here are the best I've ever had. It's a pity that I won't be able to eat here so easily when I go to Xiuzhou."

Chen Feng comforted him:
"Then we'll make it ourselves. This burger shouldn't be too hard to make, right? Just two slices of bread, with some chicken, beef, tomato, lettuce, and the like in the middle."

Brinna retorted:

"It looks simple, but it's actually quite particular about how to make it. The temperature, the sauce, and the combination of vegetables and beef all require careful consideration."

Chen Feng thought to himself, "It's just a hamburger, why all the fuss? If we're going to be particular, why not Chinese food?"

However, he did not refute it, but just smiled and said:
"This burger is alright, but it probably isn't as good as the food from our Dragon Country, is it?"

Brina smiled and nodded:
"That's true. To be honest, I used to think Mexican food was the best, and so was this hamburger. But after going to Xiuzhou and tasting the food there, I realized that those two things are just so-so. Of course, I still really like this hamburger, and I still like Mexican food, but it can't compare to Chinese food anymore."

"That's good. If you go to Xiuzhou and don't get used to the food, you'll suffer a bit."

"No, don't worry, it's not like I haven't been to Xiuzhou before."

The two were eating and chatting when suddenly someone walked over and stood next to them.

The two turned around and saw Joseph, whom they had met yesterday.

“Mr. Chen, the person you are looking for has arrived. Please come with me and we will meet with him.”

The little white old man appeared polite, but his demeanor and tone were anything but courteous.

Chen Feng frowned slightly and looked at him, saying:
"Didn't you see that my girlfriend and I are having a meal? Don't you think your behavior is very rude? Is this how you treat me?"

Upon hearing this, a flash of anger crossed Joseph's eyes, but he quickly concealed it. He leaned forward slightly and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, but my boss's time is quite precious. He came all the way from New York on a private jet. I would be grateful if you would do me the honor of meeting him." (End of Chapter)
