“Don’t worry, Castio,” Sam patted him on the shoulder, “we’ll bring them back.”

Without any further farewells, the convoy sped off like an arrow, tearing through the night towards the abandoned dock where the Turners were being held, as indicated in the intelligence report.

Castio vanished in a flash, taking the lead and rushing towards the sky above the dock area to clear out the wandering low-level demon sentinels.

Inside the manor, Wu Heng sensed that the rescue team had already set off and no longer hesitated.

He formed a hand seal and uttered a low shout: "Activate!"

The 'Stripping Array' suddenly lit up!
The four-colored light wrapped around Jesse's body as if it were alive, and an indescribable, excruciating pain, as if it were tearing his soul apart, instantly swept over Jesse.

He groaned and his body began to tremble violently.

Fine beads of cold sweat trickled down his forehead, but he bit his lip tightly, not uttering a sound. He simply gripped the doll in his hand even tighter, his mind replaying every warm moment he shared with his adoptive parents. He forcefully suppressed the instinctive agitation within him caused by the sense of threat, as well as the urge to retaliate.

The peeling process proceeded slowly and steadily amidst the pain.

Jesse felt as if his consciousness was adrift in a raging storm, like a small boat about to capsize at any moment. Only the doll in his hand and the images of his adoptive parents in his mind were his only lighthouse.

However, just as the stripping process reached its most critical moment, and Jesse's core power was about to be activated, a sudden change occurred!

The space above the stripping array distorted, and a consciousness carrying an eerie and mocking meaning suddenly emerged from Jesse.

The projection still retained the appearance of a middle-aged man, but the malice in its eyes was almost overflowing.

“My dear child,” Lucifer’s projected voice was filled with feigned heartache, “are you just going to give up like this, choosing to become a powerless weakling, begging for others’ protection like an ant?”

Jesse's eyelashes trembled violently as he kept his eyes closed, but he did not open them.

Lucifer chuckled softly, and with a wave of his hand, projected a vivid illusion into Jesse's perception: Mark and Catherine were screaming in agony inside a burning cage, the demon's whip lashing their bodies, calling out Jesse's name in a shrill, desperate voice.
"Look! Look at what those you want to protect are suffering!" Lucifer's voice slithered into Jesse's mind like a venomous snake. "Without power, you can do nothing!"

You can't even get close to them!

"Giving up your power is giving up your right to protect them; you are a complete coward!"

"No, no," Jesse cried out inwardly. Lucifer's words and illusions struck his already fragile mental barrier like a hammer blow.

The protagonist is overwhelmed by a mix of emotions: worry about his adoptive parents' situation, fear of his own powerlessness, and anger at being accused of being a 'coward'.

The power that had been suppressed around him suddenly became agitated, and the black and red light shone through his skin again. The light of the peeling array began to flicker violently and became unstable.

Jesse, who was at the heart of the battle, curled up in pain, on the verge of losing control!

"Stay true to yourself, Jesse!" Wu Heng's low shout was like a thunderclap, exploding on the verge of Jesse's collapse.

He activated the 'Balance Incantation' with all his might, and an even more powerful neutralizing force surged into the magic circle, forcibly stabilizing the collapsing formation. At the same time, he said to Jesse, "Don't be fooled by the illusion. Trust Dean, trust Sam!"

"They are fighting for you, on their way to rescue your parents. Believe in your yearning for sunshine, for an ordinary life, for a future free from fear—that is your true strength!"

"The power comes from belief."

"Jesse, believe in your own choices and convictions!" Wu Heng's words and the continuous flow of 'balance power' acted like a warm barrier, temporarily isolating him from the mental pollution projected by Lucifer.

Jesse suddenly opened his eyes. Although there were still tears and pain in his eyes, there was even more of a resolute determination to burn his bridges.

He stopped looking at the false illusion, took a deep breath, and focused all his willpower and longing on the small Iron Man doll in his hand, on his almost devout yearning for 'ordinary life'.

"I don't want any damn power!"

He forced out those words through clenched teeth, forcibly suppressing the restless energy back into his body, letting the pain of being stripped away continue to wash over his soul like a tidal wave.

Lucifer's projection let out an angry snort, but under the wash of the 'Power of Balance', it gradually became blurred and eventually dissipated.

Just as Jesse was struggling with Lucifer's interference and the pain of being separated within the manor, the battle at the abandoned docks also reached its climax.

Dean and Sam's squad pierced the demon's defensive perimeter like a sharp dagger.

Gunshots, explosions, demonic roars, and witcher's furious howls filled the air.

Silver-plated bullets, salt bullets, and improved 'Exorcising Source Water' grenades—all weapons were used to their fullest potential.

Mark led the way, forcefully knocking over a hellhound to clear a path for his teammates behind him.

Sam used his increasingly refined telekinesis to slam the demon that tried to sneak up from the shadows onto the container, while Dean, like a ghost on the battlefield, fired his twin guns in rapid succession, accurately targeting every demon that showed a weakness.

"over there!"

Dean, with his sharp eyes, spotted the cage burning with green flames deep inside the dock, and the several elite demons guarding it.

"Charge!" Sam roared, concentrating his telekinetic energy to create a shockwave that temporarily forced back the enemies in front of him.

Dean seized the opportunity, pounced like a cheetah, and used the container as cover to quickly approach the cage.

An elite demon lunged at him, brandishing its burning claws. Dean dodged with a slide tackle and, with a backhand motion, plunged his Angel Blade, coated with a powerful exorcism potion, deep into its ankle!
The demon let out a miserable howl, its movements faltered, and it was riddled with bullets by the demon hunters who followed behind.

Finally, they rushed to the cage.

Dean used his angelic powers to forcefully tear open the cage door, and Sam quickly helped the weak but still conscious Turner and his wife to their feet.

"Get out of here! Retreat!" Dean shouted into the communicator. "Mission objective achieved."

The rescue team fought their way out, and with the support of Dean, Sam, and Castio, they managed to carve out a path, carrying the Turners out of the dock, into a waiting vehicle, and sped towards the manor.

Almost at the same time that the impala carried the shaken but unharmed Turners through the manor gates, the stripping array inside the underground safe house reached its final critical point.

"Now! Strip it off!" Wu Heng pressed his hands down sharply!
The magic array shone brightly, and all the energy, like rivers flowing into the sea, surged wildly into Jesse's body at the array's core.

Then, it forcefully and slowly drew a stream of energy, shimmering with gray light and containing the power of balance, from Jesse's chest. (End of Chapter)
