Chapter 1314 Lorraine 2
"Was that another god?" Tan You laughed and began to list them one by one: "On the way here, I saw a six-winged archangel, who passed through grasslands, rivers, giant trees and even darkness."

Are they all guided by the gods?

“Yes, Tan You, I’ve never seen anyone as approachable as you,” Tartarus laughed. “Since the beginning of time, you are the first person to stand before me.”

Tan You sat cross-legged, showing no fear in the face of the god of the abyss: "That only proves that we are destined to meet."

She paused for a moment, then said, "We met at this moment. Does this mean that from today onwards, I can use your power to walk in this world?"

Tartarus asked curiously, "What do you want to do with my power?"

"It's nothing," Tan You said frankly, "It's just that there are a few mosquitoes outside, which are really annoying. I need your help to drive them away."

"I thought you wouldn't ask for help," the God of the Abyss teased Tan You. "You don't look like the kind of person who would stoop down."

Tan You raised an eyebrow: "You overestimate me. If you granted me the power to roam the world freely, I wouldn't mind calling you 'Dad'."

The God of the Abyss was stunned for a moment, then he rested his forehead on one hand and laughed, his laughter growing wider and wider. He could tell that Tan You was telling the truth, but it was precisely because she spoke from the heart that he found it all the more interesting.

When he wanted to hug someone's leg, he did so openly and without any hesitation. It has to be said that he found Tan You more and more pleasing to the eye.

Tan You glanced at him, and seeing that he was still laughing endlessly, she couldn't help but twitch her lips: "You still haven't said whether you agree or not."

Was she there to see him smile? In the eyes of the Chinese, if a deity cannot bring benefits to believers, then it is not a good deity and should not be worshipped.

If this god of the abyss cannot offer her tangible benefits...

Tartarus finally finished laughing. He flicked his finger, and Tan You felt a stream of light fly into her brow. As for sensation, she felt nothing at all.

“This mark is still better looking,” Tartarus nodded in satisfaction. After confirming that his mark completely covered the mark of the former Dark God, he waved his sleeve and said, “Tanyou, you are really interesting. Here’s a little gift for you.”

The surrounding scenery rushed past, and suddenly her body slumped back into reality. After regaining her composure, Tan You opened her eyes. The moment she opened them, she met a pair of cold, sinister eyes.

Even though the small snake in front of her was only as thick as her finger, Tan You felt as if she were seeing a giant python that could blot out the sky, its head and tail connected as if it could encircle the world.

"Jormungandr?" Tan You stroked the little snake's back, then thought about Tartarus's identity and felt a splitting headache: "You are a being in Norse mythology, but Tartarus is the god of the abyss in Greek mythology. What kind of situation is this? A crucible of mythology?"

She only had a superficial understanding of Norse and even Greek mythology, and this was almost completely depleting her already meager knowledge. How could she have encountered two completely different mythological systems at the same time?
Forget it, Tan You stopped thinking about it. After all, she was Chinese, and yet she encountered a Western deity. She wrapped the little snake that Jormungandr had transformed into around her wrist. Then she pulled the cloth over her stomach and fell into a deep sleep.

"She really has a positive outlook," several figures appeared in the void after she fell asleep, with Tartarus in the very center. On either side of him were various gods.

Most of them were people Tan You encountered along the way: a six-winged archangel, a goddess of life holding a lamb, an elf dwelling in a giant tree, and even a snow wolf running across the ice plains.

A deity, indignant, exclaimed, "Why did she choose you?"

The God of the Abyss remained calm and simply quoted Tan You: "Fate." The other gods were frustrated and disheartened. With Tan You's talent, how many followers could she have gained? And what happened? She actually became the God of the Abyss's chosen one?
Although it's a pity that she herself has no faith, as long as she holds the title of the Abyss God's chosen one, and with her cunning and resourcefulness, it's foreseeable that the Abyss God will once again shine brightly.

This Abyss God before us was once renowned, but after millions of years, how many people still know of his existence? And what happened? He remained silent for millennia, and then made a fortune the moment he opened his mouth?
The archangel was filled with jealousy; "I've never seen such a tiny, golden figure before. She's clearly accomplished so much, how come she's not a follower of the God of Light?"

The God of the Abyss said calmly, "Perhaps the little fellow thinks you're too hypocritical?"

"You!" The archangel was so angry he nearly fell over, and stormed off. The other gods looked at each other, then each found an excuse to leave.

Although this god of the abyss has been dormant for millennia, in terms of strength, he truly is the strongest of all the gods. Expressing a little envy and jealousy is enough; going any further would be inappropriate.

No one wants to experience what it's like to be in prison, and the few deities who have had the privilege of experiencing it are even more reluctant to discuss it.

Tan You had no idea that there was such a conversation in the void. She slept until dawn, when she was awakened by her maid's soft call.

"Miss Lorraine, are you awake?"

"I've brought you water to wash your face."

Two cautious female voices came from outside the door, trembling slightly and revealing a deep fear of their owner. Tan You stared at the door for a moment before calling out, "Come in."

The door was carefully pushed open, and two maids, one plump and one thin, walked in. One carried a copper basin, and the other held a towel. They glanced quickly at Tan You, who was sitting cross-legged on the large bed, then lowered their eyes and swiftly placed the copper basin aside.

"Miss, shall I help you wash your face?"

As she said this, the plump maid trembled with fear, shaking like a leaf.

Tan You hummed in agreement, allowing the two maids to help her with her washing up without disrupting the original character's established persona. Watching the two maids leave the room, and hearing the long, heavy breathing outside, Tan You slightly curved her lips into a smile.

There was no hint of a smile in her eyes as her fingertips brushed against the black bracelet on her wrist: "She's truly detestable. You also find her unlikable?"

The "black bracelet" circled Tan You's wrist once, then quietly stayed there, biting its tail. If you didn't look, you would really think Tan You was wearing a black bracelet today.

"Is Miss being so agreeable today?"

"Maybe you slept well last night?"

"I've heard that if you sleep well, you'll have a better temper."

"Perhaps, I hope Miss's temper will always be this good."

"Miss has always wanted to become the young mistress, and she will be getting married in two days."

“Once she gets married and is with Master Williams, she won’t be so irritable.”
