Bronze door through time and space
Chapter 848 Zod Arrives
Chapter 848 Zod Arrives
The arrival of the Ancient One was an experiment for Yan Xu, because his true self was not alone, and even controlled more than one great world. It would be a great pity to give up all of these.
Originally, there was no other way; it would have been good enough if the main body could escape. But with two multiverses, Yan Xu was much more confident and had greater ambitions. For example, he not only wanted to leave, but also to transfer all his assets out and invest them in a truly grand plan.
After arriving in the DC Universe, Yan Xu didn't just stay a cat, spending his days eating, drinking, and having fun. In fact, he was constantly exploring this world and gradually came to understand the path God had walked.
The reason we can understand these things so quickly is because God didn't hide anything at all; He simply laid it out clearly and openly here. It's just that most people can't see it or do it.
Like ants at the foot of the pyramids, all they see is endless sand. They have no idea what stone bricks are, what a pyramid is, let alone how to explore its structure or understand its construction principles.
As an outsider, Yan Xu possesses advantages that many powerful beings in the multiverse lack: he stands higher and sees further, and is unrestrained, which is why he can understand.
DC God has proven that this path is viable, so Yan Xu naturally follows suit, intending to use the many great worlds controlled by his main body to create his own multiverse. In the process of continuous improvement and expansion, he will forge his own Heavenly Dao and the myriad heavens, and ultimately transcend them.
Yan Xu himself couldn't say what level he would reach by then, but he vaguely guessed that Pangu was probably a transcendent being, and Hongjun was retracing that path.
However, this path is not easy, because the stronger the world becomes, the greater the constraints it places on itself.
This is also why Pangu was able to transcend, while Hongjun became increasingly trapped, because as long as he did not surpass Pangu, he could not transcend the world created by Pangu.
Only now did Yan Xu realize how lucky he was, and how extraordinary the Bronze Gate truly was.
That said, Yan Xu doesn't have much of a clue about the specifics yet, and he doesn't dare to make any big moves that would disturb the Heavenly Dao in his original body. Therefore, he's trying to send characters from the Marvel Universe to the DC Universe first.
Crossing the void is not so easy. If Yan Xu hadn't had a powerful enough source and the help of the Marvel Universe to show traces of the Marvel God, he might not have been able to reach the DC Universe before his source was exhausted.
Although DC Yanxu now serves as a beacon and coordinate, achieving passage is still not easy, which is why the Ancient One was chosen.
As a seasoned borrower who has lent money across many dimensions, the Ancient One is extremely adept at borrowing power. Coupled with his powerful astral projection ability, and with the support of psychic energy, he is fully capable of traversing the void and condensing a spiritual body in another multiverse.
As the old saying goes, there was originally no road in the world, but as more people walk on it, a road is formed.
The Ancient One was just the beginning. Next, Yan Xu will continue to bring characters from the Marvel Universe to the DC Universe. How long they stay is not important; what matters is the traces they leave behind.
Once the road signs are in place, that's when Yan Xu starts paving the road, which means building a real network of roads.
The first network will connect the Marvel Universe and the DC Universe, and then extend into another network connecting the universes where the main body resides, forming a Y-shape.
Once the triangular network is formed, Yan Xu will forge his golden throne at the intersection of the three forks, creating his own multiverse and ultimately transcending everything.
Yan Xu wasn't entirely sure if the plan would succeed, but at least he had a goal.
The arrival of the Ancient One marked the first successful step in the grand plan. However, since she was already here, Yan Xu wouldn't let her sit idle. He'd teach her a disciple, at least Zatanna was much better than that former doctor who had turned the Sorcerer Supreme into a homeless man.
Moreover, this was also a good thing for the Ancient One, as it allowed her to explore the mysteries of another multiverse, so she gladly accepted the task.
Both Clark, who was still feeling lost at the time, and Diana, who worked at the museum, received the gift, but their reactions were different. Clark loved the cute doll that brought him a warm feeling, as if his body and mind were enveloped in sunshine, so he carried it with him everywhere.
But he didn't take it too seriously. Even though the instruction manual said it was a statue of a god, Clark had never seen such a cute statue before. It was quite interesting, though.
In contrast, Diana, as a demigod, was more aware of the terrifying nature of this thing—a statue of a true god—and was therefore more cautious, even going to Paradise Island to look through its library.
As for why she didn't throw it away, when a powerful person hands you a business card, even if you don't intend to call the number on it, you can't just throw it away in front of them. That's why Diana was so cautious.
The only problem was that even if she asked her mother, she didn't know which god looked like an orange cat, because it was just too unimpressive.
Just as Diana was racking her brains trying to figure it out, the television began to flicker, as if it had lost signal.
"You are not alone."
General Zod's words shook the world, for this was the first time aliens had arrived on Earth, and no one knew whether they were benevolent or malevolent.
In fact, aside from those brain-dead idiots who run to rooftops or streets to display banners and ask aliens to take them away or rule the earth, everyone knows that aliens are most likely up to no good.
The reason is simple: humans believe that even if they mastered interstellar travel and reached an alien planet similar to Earth, they probably wouldn't be able to do anything good.
A better scenario would involve a Greater Earth Co-Prosperity Sphere, while a less desirable one would be like the United States, where indigenous people can only be seen in protected areas or museums.
Inside the Batcave, Bruce stared at the television for a long time, motionless. The threat had arrived, but it wasn't the Cat God Cult he had imagined. However, he had prepared numerous contingency plans for the alien invasion. Although he had no evidence to prove the existence of aliens at the time, it didn't stop him from preparing hundreds of related plans, from a fake invasion and a biohazard crisis to human extinction. Batman never fought an unprepared battle, and he had the money and resources to support the implementation of his countless plans and backups.
While the world was in turmoil, Gotham City was not significantly affected, except that more believers went to Cat Paradise.
They don't know how powerful aliens are, but the Cat God is definitely more powerful than them.
But many more Gotham residents seemed to have received the signal to celebrate, rushing out of their homes with guns and ammunition, as if they didn't intend to come back alive.
In reality, the people of Gotham aren't that crazy; they just want to take advantage of the situation, since Batman probably won't have time to deal with them lately.
The reason is simple: Arkham Asylum has exploded again. Not only did the Mad Hatter and the Riddler escape, but even the Joker, who was locked in a special ward, escaped and ransacked a wedding shop. He's clearly gone even crazier now.
With his backyard on fire, Bruce had to spend his days supplementing the plan against aliens and his nights capturing those psychopaths. He didn't even have time to eat or sleep. If it weren't for his increasingly superhuman physique, he wouldn't have been able to maintain his condition at all.
Fortunately, Dick, who had already gone solo under the name Nightwing, returned to Gotham and, as Robin, assisted Batman in fighting crime.
Yan Xu, however, exclaimed that he hadn't chosen the wrong place. The intense emotions of the Gotham people, the extreme darkness of Batman, the ultimate chaos of the Joker, and the pure heart of Superman all made him feel that his own emotions were being revived. As a result, he ejected a portion of his original essence to add something different to the upcoming drama.
