Pokémon's Lord of Fear

Chapter 517 Turning into a Ghost

Teng Shu's game was interrupted because someone came to his door asking him to write a script. After thinking about it, Teng Shu decided to make a movie called "Ghost" as a transitional film for this time. After all, he had already finished making "The Ghost Who Scared Him to Death". Originally, he did not plan to make a new movie, but because his older brother's friend asked his older brother for help, Teng Shu had no choice but to make a new movie.

There was a girl named Bupa, a medical student. Bupa was beautiful and gentle, but she didn't have many friends. Her favorite thing to do every day was to read books alone in the library. However, because Bupa was very beautiful, she attracted the attention of many boys. Among them was a rich kid named Jiabang, a second-generation rich kid. What Jiabang was most curious about about Bupa was that she had rejected the advances of one of his good friends. That friend was very handsome and was the school heartthrob in the hearts of many girls. So Jiabang was very curious as to why Bupa would choose to reject his friend. Jiabang was also deeply attracted by Bupa's beauty, so he began to follow her, even finding out her home address, and brought her porridge every day. However, Jiabang never received a response from Bupa.

This disappointed Jiabang somewhat, but out of persistence, he decided to deliver porridge to Bupa on the last day. If Bupa still ignored him, he would give up on this impossible relationship. Strangely, on this day, after Jiabang arrived in his sports car to deliver the porridge, Bupa took the initiative to talk to him. Jiabang was very happy. However, at this moment, Bupa asked Jiabang if the sports car at the door belonged to him. Jiabang nodded after hearing this, and then Bupa said that she wanted to be a little bird and fly freely. So Jiabang drove the sports car and took Bupa around. However, Jiabang was also a little disappointed because he felt that Bupa was also a materialistic girl. He had never driven a sports car when delivering porridge before, but now that he had, Bupa had talked to him. This made Jiabang feel uncomfortable.

As a rich second-generation, Jiabang was not lacking in women like her. The reason he chose Bupa was because she was a very special girl, exuding a unique temperament and beautiful face, which attracted him. However, he did not expect Bupa to be such a worldly girl, which made Jiabang very disappointed. He felt that the mysterious halo around Bupa had been removed. But strangely, Bupa was sitting in the car at this time and said that she had known all along that Jiabang was following her, and even knew everything about Jiabang's situation, such as his family, his blood type, his various relationships, etc. This made Jiabang feel unbelievable, because Bupa should not know these things.

However, Bupa revealed that Jiabang had a girlfriend abroad, which surprised Jiabang greatly. Nevertheless, Jiabang held Bupa's hand and told her that he had no one else but Bupa. Their relationship quickly warmed up. Jiabang realized that Bupa looked exactly like other women, so he took her to the beach for three days. He stayed in the hotel room with Bupa, discussing life and ideals. Afterward, Jiabang asked Bupa why she rejected his best friend, who was also from a wealthy family. Bupa told Jiabang that his best friend lied, but Jiabang didn't, so she accepted him. The scene then changed to a television playing a video of Jiabang and Bupa discussing life in the room, revealing Jiabang's true situation.

Jiabang and the other rich kids were watching the video. Jiabang's best friend, having accepted his loss, clapped and handed Jiabang a bottle of good wine. It turned out that this group of rich kids were betting on when Jiabang could win over Bupa, the most beautiful girl in the department. Now that Jiabang had won her over, everyone lost. After that, Jiabang changed his phone number. To him, Bupa was just another woman who would be with him for his money, holding no appeal whatsoever. Bupa tried to contact Jiabang but couldn't reach him. On the bus, she felt someone behind her, but when she turned around, it wasn't Jiabang, but an ordinary old man. This made Bupa very disappointed, and her eyes became somewhat sorrowful.

On this day, Jiabang was having dinner at home, discussing his plans to study abroad with his family. They had decided on England as their final destination. Meanwhile, Bupa was in the school restroom, looking dazed. She held something in her hand—a pregnancy test strip. The line indicated she was pregnant, leaving Bupa at a loss. She tried to call Jiabang, but couldn't get through. Bupa's stepfather arrived to take her home, offering her a pen, which she strongly resisted. Instead of taking her home, her stepfather took her to a hotel. It turned out that Bupa had encountered a terrible stepfather long ago, which was why she hated going home and didn't want to go back. She preferred to stay at school, which was why she didn't want to go home.

She begged her stepfather to stop, but he still crawled under her skirt. This made Bupa very sad and heartbroken. She grabbed a pen and stabbed her stepfather hard. After stabbing him, she took the opportunity to escape and returned to her rented apartment, intending to end her life with a knife. But then the phone rang. It was Jiabang calling, asking her to meet him. After meeting, Jiabang confessed his reasons for what he had done, including the gambling and the alcohol. He also told Bupa that he was going to study in England soon and that she could talk to him about anything she needed his help. Bupa took out a pregnancy test and said, "How can I help you like this?" Jiabang was very surprised when he saw it, but he still went to her house and discussed the matter with his mother.

Later, Jiabang found Bupa and told her that her parents couldn't bear to ruin her future, so they decided to have her have an abortion. After she graduated from university, they would arrange for her to marry Jiabang. Bupa believed him and was taken by Jiabang to have the abortion. Afterwards, Jiabang took Bupa back to room 609 and told her that he was going downstairs to buy her some porridge. However, after going downstairs, Jiabang didn't buy any porridge but drove away directly. The next day, he went to study in England, leaving Bupa alone in her rented room 609. A month passed in an instant. A month later, the landlord came and knocked on Bupa's door, asking if she had paid the rent. If not, he would kick her out. Bupa said she would definitely pay the next day, so the landlord left. The next day, the landlord called a lame security guard and asked him if Bupa had paid the rent. It turned out that Bupa hadn't paid the rent.

The landlady was furious and knocked on the door to ask why Bupa hadn't paid the rent. But this time, no one answered. Left with no other option, she opened the door herself and found it chained. Knowing Bupa was inside, she sarcastically said she was going to kick her out. She then called a worker to saw off the chain and went inside. As soon as she entered, she was hit by a strong stench. Confused about the source of the smell, she noticed a worker opening the bathroom door and letting out a scream. The landlady went over and screamed in terror. Inside was Bupa, dead, covered in blood. The room was also filled with blood, and Bupa's body was rotting; she had been dead for some time.

The police arrived, and the landlady remained in a daze. The police told her that a forensic examination revealed Buppa had been dead for a month, not from external injuries, but from severe bleeding during an abortion, which explained the blood everywhere. The landlady found this very strange, as she had seen Buppa open the door and speak to her the day before. She told the police this as well, but they found it unbelievable, saying it was impossible since Buppa had been dead for a month. At that moment, the paramedics in the room were preparing to remove Buppa's body when the bag containing her body began to shake violently, startling them.

They dropped the body and asked the other man if he had been shaken, but both denied it. Just as they were wondering what was going on, the body bag suddenly sat up, startling them so much they fled. When the police asked what was wrong, they shouted that there was a ghost inside. The onlookers exchanged bewildered glances. A bearded policeman was about to check inside when the door slammed shut. He tried to open it, but a woman's voice came from inside, yelling for them to get out. The police and the onlookers were terrified and asked who was inside, but only Bupa's body was found. Combined with the earlier reports of a ghost, the situation became clear.

But the police, skeptical, kicked the door to open it. Suddenly, another officer knelt down, seemingly struck in the stomach. While the bearded officer was checking on his colleague, another officer simultaneously kicked the door, causing the bearded officer to fall. People then realized they had truly encountered a ghost, and a group of them fled, leaving only the landlady behind. The landlady asked what to do about the body inside, to which the bearded officer replied that he would go back to write a report. Left with no other option, the landlady had to handle it herself. She found a nearby charlatan and asked for his help. The charlatan was initially reluctant but eventually agreed. After agreeing, the charlatan disguised himself as Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) and began performing a ritualistic dance with a stick, successfully entering the room.

But before people could rejoice, the door slammed shut. The charlatan, muttering that he was doomed this time, tried to escape, but then realized his staff was gone. Helpless, he looked into the bedroom and found the staff on the bed, along with a corpse wrapped in a body bag. Upon seeing the corpse, the charlatan sat up abruptly, muttering with his eyes closed that it must be an illusion. When he opened his eyes again, everything was back to normal. The charlatan was about to go back in to get the staff when, just as he reached out, a hand suddenly reached out and grabbed his hand. The charlatan screamed in terror, startling those outside. They were terrified. At that moment, the door opened, and the charlatan, covered in blood, ran out, fleeing in a disheveled state.

Left with no other option, the charlatan took the landlady to his teacher for help. His teacher, however, was a true master. That evening, the master brought the charlatan to the room, only to find everything normal. The master, believing the charlatan was trying to extort more money by scaring the landlady, was furious. He ordered his men to remove the body. Just as they were about to remove it, the door slammed shut, startling them. They released the body, but the master, thinking it was the wind, grabbed some string and prepared to tie it up. As soon as he entered, the body twitched. Startled, the master decided to use a dagger—a magical weapon—to save face.

Just as the master was about to enter with his dagger, the power suddenly went out, and people screamed everywhere. The charlatan stopped him, and the master pulled out his dagger, took a candle, and went inside. At the same time, he plunged the dagger into the corpse. Lightning flashed outside, and the room flickered between light and shadow. The master turned around and saw the corpse was still there, but Buppa's ghost had appeared. Buppa angrily charged at the master, scratching and hitting him. Then the door opened, and a group of people ran out. The landlady hurriedly asked where the corpse was. At that moment, the master also ran out, his dagger sticking out of his back, and fled in a disheveled state. The landlady turned around and saw Buppa's ghost standing in the corridor. She said, "Since you all want to get rid of me so badly, now it's my turn to get rid of you." The landlady was terrified by Buppa's ghost and fled in a panic. Buppa's ghost then began to frighten the others, and those who came to help were all terrified to death by Buppa.

The others, terrified by Buppa, jumped out of the window to escape. The landlady returned home and told her husband she had seen a ghost, but he blamed it on her making too much money through dishonest means. Enraged, the landlady went to the bathroom, opened the door, and saw Buppa's ghost. Terrified, she fled and hid behind her husband. At first, the husband didn't believe her, but seeing Buppa's ghost emerge, he quickly led his wife to kneel before a deity statue and chant sutras. Only then did Buppa's ghost leave, sparing the landlady and her husband. Meanwhile, at Jiabang's home, Jiabang's mother received a call from Jiabang, saying he would be returning the next day.
