The output power directly exceeds 6 horsepower. A total of 4 sets of HN-60 power reactors are used to drive it, with a total power of 25 horsepower. The deck length reaches 330 meters and the width is 75 meters. The maximum speed exceeds 32 knots, which can provide enough deck wind for heavy carrier-based aircraft.

According to the design requirements, in terms of combat carrier-based aircraft, it can carry 36 naval-type J-9 heavy carrier-based aircraft, 16 naval-type Q-9 attack aircraft, two naval-type Y-6G early warning aircraft that are still under research, and 6 carrier-based helicopters for different purposes, including anti-submarine helicopters and rescue transport aircraft.

In terms of combat power, although the Forrestal-class aircraft carrier in service with the Rogue Hawk has fewer aircraft, the Forrestal-class aircraft carrier can carry 70 fighters of various types at its limit, but its actual combat power is not much weaker. After all, the latter has only more than 50 main fighters, but there are more related auxiliary fighters.

However, the J-9 heavy carrier-based aircraft that is currently in training has already trained 36 naval carrier-based aircraft pilots and 16 Q-9 attack aircraft pilots. As for the early warning aircraft and helicopters used on aircraft carriers, they are still under intensive research or production.

After all, for an aircraft carrier, attack power comes first.

In addition to being the first to use nuclear power, another major feature of Dongda’s first aircraft carrier is that it has cancelled all its self-defense weapon systems!

In this regard, Ren Zhong had to overcome all objections to convince the top management.

Because in the construction of aircraft carriers during this period, almost all of them have their own defense weapon systems, including the latest Forrestal-class aircraft carriers in service, which are now equipped with 8 single-barrel 127mm guns, surface ship torpedo defense systems, 2 8-mounted "Sea Sparrow" Mk29 ship-to-air missile launchers, 4 Mk36 SRBOC 6-tube electronic countermeasures infrared tracer and jamming chaff launchers, 1 SLQ-26 "Water Fairy" towed decoy, 3 "CIWS" Mk15 short-range defense artillery and other weapons.

However, in later iterations, people found that these were of little use. If the opponent could get within attacking distance of the aircraft carrier, then it made little difference whether these weapons were there or not.

It is impossible for a bulky aircraft carrier to truly escape the opponent's attack with just these few self-defense weapons.

Therefore, in the subsequent construction of aircraft carriers, all these weapons were cancelled.

All defense tasks were handed over to its escort destroyers, frigates and submarines, and it was completely transformed into a carrier of aviation weapons.

Ren Zhong reached the end point of this evolution in one step.

After all, Dongda’s third-generation destroyers have gradually improved their multi-functional combat capabilities in anti-ship, anti-submarine and air defense, truly realizing that professionals should do professional things.

In terms of construction, the construction of the Yandu was not smooth sailing. There were no problems with the hull. Dongda's shipbuilding industry had long been experienced in the design and construction of super-large ships of more than 60 tons. During the construction process, there was also information from the main world of Renzhong for reference. Not only is the cost of building an aircraft carrier battle group staggering, but it is also because training the operators of an aircraft carrier battle group cannot be accomplished overnight. In the Yandu aircraft carrier battle group, all positions in the future will have multiple people for one position. Not only do they have to figure out the tactics of commanding a team's operations, but they also have to use this actual combat to train another team.

A century-old navy, this is not nonsense.

Dongda can reveal the crew members of a destroyer and even a Black Fish because these are independent combat individuals after all. After they have matured through field training on a destroyer and a Black Fish in the early days, a large number of naval personnel can be copied in batches through the mentoring model.

But the combat mode of an aircraft carrier battle group is completely different.

Whether it is formation, protection or naval operations, almost every one of them is a major topic.

It is already very fast to figure out this combat system in ten years.

In this regard, Ren Zhong is not in a hurry.

Now no one is so blind as to easily provoke the University of East China. For local small conflicts, the amphibious assault ship fleet can basically solve the problem. The demand for aircraft carriers is not so urgent. Therefore, in this regard, Ren Zhong would rather the University of East China move slower and more steadily. In addition, technological iterations will change with each passing day in the next ten years. The most important thing is that the electronic system will be greatly improved.

Today's radars and computers are still too weak for Ren Zhong. Doppler radar has not yet reached its full potential, let alone phased array.

It took time to develop from materials to principles, so we were thankful that it could be used in the 70s.

Before this, the Radar Research Center was working hard on Doppler radar. The first generation that came out was usable, but not very easy to use. As for computers, it was even weaker. Now it has been updated to 8086 and can finally be used, but it is still far from being easy to use.

If we continue to iterate computer chips at Moore's pace, we will reach the 586 era in another ten years. The computing speed of this computer will greatly improve the analysis of radar signals.

For marine radar, another ten years of development will allow the three-coordinate top plate radar to be developed in the world of Sword. For the navy, with this radar, the overall combat capability will more than double. According to the escort configuration of an aircraft carrier battle group with 4 Luhai-class destroyers + 4 Luyang-class destroyers + 2 attack nuclear submarines, after 8 sets of top plate radars are installed on the destroyers, they can be dispersed to create at least a destroyer defense circle of about 150 kilometers.

In this way, with the carrier-based aircraft starting from an outer defense circle of at least 500 kilometers, the aircraft carrier will have two layers of defense circles and thus have a basic sense of security.

The general defense of an aircraft carrier battle group is divided into three levels: high altitude, low altitude and underwater. High altitude is to defend against the opponent's land-based fighters or carrier-based aircraft, low altitude defense refers to the use of anti-ship missiles with low trajectory sea-skimming flight, and underwater is to defend against submarines. In actual combat, the frigates of the aircraft carrier battle group will be scattered around the aircraft carrier, even if the distance between the nearest frigate and the aircraft carrier is greater than the visual distance, and the farthest distance is even tens or hundreds of kilometers, because only in this way can we improve the defense space and reaction time. Ships are concentrated together and are vulnerable to concentrated firepower attacks from the opponent. The advantage of dispersed deployment of ships is to provide more early warning and defense space and time for core equipment aircraft carriers!
Although the University of Tokyo now has anti-ship missiles, the anti-ship missiles of its competitors are not yet mature. The biggest threats facing aircraft carriers are the two mainstream attack methods of aerial bombing and missile attacks.

The danger from the sea has actually become smaller and smaller, because there are not many weapons that can get close to an aircraft carrier at sea. Whether it is a battleship or a submarine, it is now difficult to break through the sword-wielding guard group around the aircraft carrier battle group, including the triple defense of the air and underwater.

Therefore, there are basically no times when aircraft carriers engage in direct combat with their opponents.

When it really came to this, the destroyers, frigates and submarines that served as sword-bearing guards in the surrounding areas were almost all killed or wounded.

Even having weapons is better than having nothing.
