Chapter 384 News leaked
"Get in the car quickly!" she urged.

Su Hanze didn't say much, he practically pushed open the car door and jumped in. A Biao followed, and finally the stranger was pushed in as well. The car started and sped away from the scene.

The atmosphere inside the car was somewhat tense, especially with the stranger constantly looking down, his palms sweaty. Su Hanze glanced at him, his gaze sharp as a knife: "You'd better behave."

The man swallowed hard, a flicker of panic in his eyes: "I know, I know, I will cooperate with you."

“The more you know, the better,” Su Hanze said coldly. “Don’t think this is the end of it. You have two choices now—either cooperate with us and stay, or disappear immediately.”

"I'll cooperate, I'll cooperate." The man said as if facing a formidable enemy. "I'll tell you whatever you want. The goods are in the warehouse, and Boss Huang is still waiting. What exactly do you want to know?"

Su Hanze frowned slightly, indicating that he did indeed know some information: "Who is behind Boss Huang?"

The man lowered his head, not daring to look at him, his voice trembling slightly: "That's...that's a big shot, his name is Old Deng, he has government connections. Boss Huang is just a middleman."

A chill ran through Su Hanze's heart. He had thought this deal was just a simple gangster transaction, but he hadn't expected it to involve so many power dynamics. This made things much more complicated.

"Old Deng?" A Biao repeated in a low voice, clearly realizing the unusual nature of the situation.

“Yes.” The man nodded hurriedly. “He has a lot of business, and he’s involved in arms and oil. The reason why Boss Huang dared to do this is because he has connections with Old Deng.”

A thoughtful look flashed across Su Hanze's eyes. This information was far more important than he had anticipated. Clearly, Huang Dexing and Lao Gui's plan was much larger than he had imagined, even involving illegal cross-industry transactions.

"Are you telling the truth?" Su Hanze asked calmly.

The man nodded vigorously: "Everything I said is true, I guarantee it's not wrong."

The car continued driving, passing through several streets, and finally stopped in front of a seemingly ordinary apartment building. Su Hanze quickly got out of the car and led A Biao and the man into the building.

They walked a few steps down the hallway and stopped in front of a door. There were no signs on the door; it was just an ordinary residential building entrance, looking no different from its surroundings.

"Here?" A-Biao looked around, appearing somewhat uncertain.

"Here," Su Hanze confirmed, then knocked on the door.

Footsteps sounded from inside, then the door opened. A middle-aged man appeared in the doorway, giving them an unfriendly look: "What are you doing here?"

"Take us in," Su Hanze said without wasting any time.

The man seemed to know what had happened. He hesitated for a moment, then finally stepped aside and said, "Come in."

The door closed, and Su Hanze's gaze quickly swept across the room. This place was not as simple as it appeared from the outside; the room was filled with a oppressive atmosphere, like an old intelligence station. The middle-aged man led them into a windowless room and casually closed the door behind him.

"You know what to do, right?" the middle-aged man asked in a low voice.

"Explain yourself clearly," Su Hanze said briefly. "What's going on with your boss, Huang Dexing's backer, Deng Lao, and the arms deal?"

Su Hanze's gaze swept across the room. In the dim light, the furnishings were simple: a few wooden chairs, a table, and some miscellaneous items piled in the corner. It seemed casual, yet it betrayed a deliberate attempt to conceal something. A faint smell of tobacco mingled with a damp, musty odor, causing him to frown. A middle-aged man stood by the door, hands in his pockets, his eyes still holding a hint of wariness.

"Sit down and talk." The middle-aged man gestured to the chair next to the table, his voice low, as if he were used to such private occasions.

Su Hanze didn't move, only giving him a cold look before gesturing for Abiao to push the stranger into a chair. The stranger plopped down, his hands still trembling slightly, his eyes constantly glancing at Su Hanze and Abiao, as if afraid of missing any expression.

"What's your name?" Su Hanze stared at the stranger, his tone calm but carrying a sense of pressure.

“Chen…Chen Yongfu.” The man swallowed, his voice a little hoarse. “I’m just a errand boy, really, I’m not lying.”

"A mere errand runner?" Ah Biao sneered, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. "How could an errand runner know so much? Old Deng, Boss Huang, arms, oil... you've run quite a distance, haven't you?"

Chen Yongfu quickly waved his hand, beads of sweat already forming on his forehead: "I really am just a gofer! Boss Huang asked me to deliver goods and relay messages, and I only heard some of what they said, I really don't know anything else!"

Su Hanze pulled up a chair, slowly sat down, leaned forward slightly, and locked his gaze on Chen Yongfu like a knife: "You'd better tell me everything you heard, word for word. Don't make me ask you a second time."

Chen Yongfu lowered his head, rubbing his hands together as if he had made a great decision, before speaking: "Boss Huang... his relationship with Old Deng dates back several years. At that time, I was working at the docks and occasionally helped Boss Huang move some goods. Later, he saw that I was honest, so he asked me to run errands for him and deliver messages. I have never met Old Deng, but I have heard Boss Huang mention him a few times, saying that he is a big shot with connections everywhere, and even has people backing him up in the police station."

"Backing you up?" Su Hanze raised an eyebrow, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "The police station, which one?"

Chen Yongfu shook his head, his eyes filled with panic: "I don't know the name! Really! Boss Huang never says the specifics. He only says that Old Deng's business is very big, involving arms, oil, and smuggled goods, and he has connections with several local powers. Hong Kong is just a transit point; the goods arrive here and are then transferred to other places."

"Where to?" Ah Biao interrupted, his tone impatient. "Stop beating around the bush and make it clear!"

Startled by A Biao's shout, Chen Yongfu trembled, his voice shaking: "I...I heard it's going to Southeast Asia, and also Taiwan and Japan. I really don't know the specifics. I'm just a deliveryman; I don't even know what's in the boxes when I deliver them!"

Su Hanze narrowed his eyes, staring at Chen Yongfu for a few seconds, as if trying to find a flaw in his expression. Chen Yongfu felt a chill run down his spine from the stare and quickly added, "Everything I said is true! Boss Huang always asks me to deliver goods at night; there are regular ships at the dock that pick them up. I'm only responsible for delivering the goods; I don't know anything else!"

The middle-aged man had been standing silently by, listening intently, before finally speaking: "Why did you arrest him? Is it worth all this trouble for such a small amount of information?"

Su Hanze turned to look at him, a slight sneer playing on his lips: "You think this little bit of information isn't worth it? Then tell me, just how big are Huang Dexing and Old Deng's businesses?"

The middle-aged man paused, a hint of wariness flashing in his eyes: "I'm just a bouncer, how would I know these things?"

"A bouncer?" Su Hanze stood up and slowly approached the middle-aged man, his voice low and deep. "This place doesn't look like an ordinary establishment. You'd better not play dumb with me." The middle-aged man took a half step back under Su Hanze's imposing aura, but still forced himself to say, "I don't know what you're talking about. This is just an ordinary apartment, rented out to you for your use."

"Rent it to us?" Ah Biao scoffed. "Do you think we're fools? This place doesn't even have windows, and there are three locks on the door. Would a normal apartment look like this?"

The middle-aged man's expression changed slightly, but he quickly regained his composure: "If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do. Tell me, what exactly do you want?"

Su Hanze ignored him, turned back to Chen Yongfu, and said in an icy tone, "Continue. Who will pick up Boss Huang's goods after they are delivered to the dock?"

Chen Yongfu lowered his head, his voice growing softer and softer: "It's a guy named A Biao, who brings a few people with him. They always drive a black van. After the goods are delivered, they just drive away. I've never asked them where they're going."

“Ah Biao?” Su Hanze frowned. He hadn’t heard of the name before, but it was clearly a key figure. “What does he look like?”

“He’s not tall, but he’s quite strong. He has a scar on his face, from here to here.” Chen Yongfu gestured, from the corner of his left eye to the corner of his mouth. “He doesn’t talk much, and he’s always quick when receiving goods, as if he’s in a hurry.”

Su Hanze nodded, quickly processing the information in his mind. Huang Dexing's business was clearly not simple; the people and forces involved were far more complex than he had initially thought. The name "Old Deng" made him feel vaguely uneasy. To have such influence and connections in a place like Hong Kong, and to be linked to businesses like arms and oil, was no ordinary person.

"Anything else?" Su Hanze continued to ask, his voice carrying an undeniable sense of pressure.

Chen Yongfu gritted his teeth, seemingly hesitant, but finally spoke: "Once, I overheard Boss Huang on the phone mentioning a place called... something like 'Golden Bay'. He said that was the final delivery point, and once the goods arrived there, the matter was settled."

"Golden Bay?" Ah Biao frowned. "What kind of place is that?"

"I don't know." Chen Yongfu quickly shook his head. "I've never been there. I heard from them that it's a private pier, quite far from Hong Kong."

Su Hanze and A Biao exchanged a glance, both realizing that "Golden Bay" might be a crucial clue. Su Hanze turned to the middle-aged man: "And you? Have you ever heard of the name Golden Bay?"

The middle-aged man's eyes flashed, as if he wanted to hide something, but he still shook his head: "Never heard of it. Like I said, I'm just a bouncer, don't ask me these things."

Su Hanze sneered and didn't press the matter further. He knew this middle-aged man definitely knew something, but now wasn't the time to interrogate him. He turned to A Biao and gave him a wink: "Keep an eye on him."

Ah Biao nodded, walked over and stood next to Chen Yongfu, his hand casually resting on the hilt of the knife at his waist. Chen Yongfu shrank back in fright, lowering his head and daring not to speak again.

Su Hanze walked to the corner of the room, took out his pager, and dialed a number. The phone rang twice, and a deep voice came from the other end: "Hello?"

“It’s me.” Su Hanze’s voice was calm. “Check Jin Haiwan. There’s a guy named A Biao with a scar on his face. Huang Dexing’s goods might be related to that.”

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end, then the person said, "Okay, I'll check. Where are you now?"

"A safe place," Su Hanze replied simply. "Let me know as soon as you have any news."

After hanging up the phone, Su Hanze turned around and saw the middle-aged man staring at him with a probing look in his eyes. Su Hanze ignored him and walked up to Chen Yongfu: "Is there anything else you haven't said?"

Chen Yongfu raised his head, his eyes filled with panic: "I...I really told you everything! If you don't believe me, you can check it out. I didn't lie to you!"

Su Hanze didn't speak, just stared at him silently. Chen Yongfu felt uneasy under his gaze, and his voice trembled with tears: "I really didn't lie! Please let me go, I promise I won't call the police!"

"Let you go?" Ah Biao sneered. "Do you think we're a charity? Stay put and don't force me to take action."

Just then, there was a sudden, urgent knocking at the door. Everyone was startled, and Su Hanze's eyes sharpened instantly. He gestured for Abiao to open the door.

Ah Biao cautiously approached the door, his hand already on the knife at his waist. He glanced through the peephole and frowned, saying, "It's Yu Xi."

"Open the door," Su Hanze said in a deep voice.

A-Biao opened the door, and Yu-Xi practically rushed in, her face pale and her breathing rapid: "There are people outside! At least seven or eight, with weapons, and they're coming this way!"

Su Hanze frowned, quickly walked to the window, and lifted the curtain slightly to look outside. Sure enough, there were several figures in the alley below, walking quickly, and seemingly carrying something in their hands.

"Damn it, the news leaked." Ah Biao cursed under his breath, turning to look at Chen Yongfu. "Was it you who did this?"

Chen Yongfu was so frightened that he waved his hands repeatedly: "It wasn't me! It really wasn't me! How could I dare!"

"Stop talking nonsense." Su Hanze interrupted him, his gaze sweeping over the middle-aged man. "Is there a back door here?"

The middle-aged man hesitated for a moment, then nodded: "Yes, it's behind the kitchen."

"Lead the way," Su Hanze said coldly.

The middle-aged man didn't waste any more words. He turned and walked towards the kitchen, pushing open an inconspicuous little door that revealed a narrow passage. Su Hanze gestured for Abiao to escort Chen Yongfu along, while he walked at the back, his eyes glancing back every now and then.

The passageway was narrow and damp, with peeling paint on the walls. After walking for less than a minute, they came to an iron gate. The middle-aged man took out a key, opened the gate, and outside lay a dimly lit alley.

"Where's the car?" Su Hanze asked Yu Xi.

"At the alley entrance, on the left," Yu Xi said softly. "I had A Cheng drive the car over here."

"Let's go." Su Hanze waved his hand and led everyone out of the iron gate quickly. Sure enough, a black van was parked outside the alley. Acheng was sitting in the driver's seat and started the car as soon as he saw them come out.
