Constantine looked puzzled: "Watching a show? What show? Marek was dragged away and killed by the abbot, how could he possibly be resurrected?"

Lin Bei walked straight out: "You're overthinking it. What's the fun in resurrecting Marek? Of course, his soul will be annihilated, and the demon will enter his perfect body. Don't get excited when you see your old friend later. Just stay quietly on the sidelines and watch."

Constantine scratched his head, but still followed. "Old friend? Really? I don't know every high-ranking demon. By the way, which way are you going? This monastery is like a maze. Do you know where you're going?"

Lin Bei put his hands behind his back, too lazy to talk much with Constantine, and said perfunctorily, "Just keep up, why are you being so long-winded?"

Constantine silently gave Lin Bei the middle finger from behind and didn't press the matter further.

The two walked through a long, narrow passage and turned countless corners before finally stopping in front of a door that looked completely different from the other rooms.

The door is intricately carved and made of a very different type of wood, painted red, making it seem out of place in this monastery.

Constantine was wondering where he was when he saw Lin Bei gently push open the door.

A faint smell of blood wafted from the room. Constantine peeked in and saw the abbot lying on his back on the sofa in the luxuriously decorated room, a knife wound on his neck, blood staining his entire body and the sofa. The abbot was also holding a delicate knife in his hand.

Constantine whistled in surprise: "What's wrong? Did you choose suicide because you didn't achieve your goal?"

Lin Bei chuckled: "If that were really the case, that would be great. They say that wherever there are people, there are rights to fight over. Someone was dissatisfied with him, so he was killed. I just came to confirm that he's dead. It's good that he's dead. With him dead, we can continue with what we're about to do."

Constantine pursed his lips, said nothing, and continued to follow Lin Bei forward.

Lin Bei had known all along that the abbot would die, and that he would be killed by that bald monk.

The bald monk had long been fed up with the abbot's monopoly on power and wealth, and he had long wanted to usurp the throne.

Tonight is the perfect time.

Because the abbot has failed to find a suitable vessel for the demons they believe in for so many years, most of the monks have become dissatisfied with him.

Even the abbot insisted that Malek was the vessel, but it turned out that he wasn't.

The bald monk had had enough of the abbot, so he decided to go all out. While the abbot was calling him into his room to confirm whether Malek was really dead, the bald monk ambushed the abbot and killed him.

They even faked a scene where the abbot, unable to accept the inability to find a vessel, committed suicide out of despair.

At this point, the bald monk had probably already returned to his room, happily anticipating the scene the next morning when everyone discovered the abbot's body and he would assume the position of abbot.

After all, in this monastery, besides the abbot, he was the second most senior.

Unfortunately, the bald monk overlooked Lin Bei and Constantine.

At the bald monk's place, as long as the exorcism ritual continues tomorrow, Lin Bei and Constantine will be sacrificed. If they are not vessels either, then they will go to the nearby town to arrest people.

At this moment, Lin Bei and Constantine passed by the abbot's room and continued walking deeper into the monastery.

The two arrived at a deserted courtyard deep within the monastery, where there was a dry well.

Lin Bei peered into the dry well and said casually, "Oh, the container is here."

Constantine curiously followed the probe down into the well: "Huh? Isn't that Marek's body? He really was a vessel?"

Just as Constantine finished speaking, a cold wind blew up from the bottom of the well.

Constantine frowned, a look of disgust on his face: "Damn, the stench of a demon. He really is a vessel. But wait, wasn't there a sacrificial ceremony? Why didn't he appear on the spot? Why did he only appear several hours later?"

Lin Bei shrugged and took two steps back: "How would I know? Maybe this devil has his own way of managing time and just likes to be late?"

Constantine stood motionless by the well, his brows furrowed, already beginning to guess who this high-ranking demon who had arrived so late could be.

Just then, a tremendous force surged from the bottom of the well and attacked Constantine.

Constantine was startled and hurriedly dodged in a flustered manner. The force came too suddenly, and Constantine had no choice but to fall to the ground and roll on the spot. He rolled several times before returning to Lin Bei's feet.

Constantine stood up cursing and shaking his collar: "Lin Bei! You knew perfectly well that guy had entered the container, but you didn't even tell me, making me lose face like this!"

Lin Bei stared at the well and said slowly, "You're blaming me for this? It's your own fault for being so useless. Instead of spending your time smoking and chasing women, you should use that time to improve your skills."

As they spoke, the earth began to tremble slightly, as if something was about to emerge from the well.

According to the original storyline, it's not time for the demon to appear yet. Instead, Malek will climb out of the well, and then the demon will descend, steal Malek's soul, seize the vessel, and destroy the world.

Yes, it's another thing that's going to destroy the world.

Lin Bei remained calm as he watched a black aura emerge from the well.

The black aura grew stronger and stronger, even churning at the wellhead, and something flew out of the well.

Lin Bei snapped his fingers, preparing to unleash the power of the Shadow King, when a shocked and angry voice came from behind: "What are you two doing here? You're openly violating the monastery's rules! You must have murdered the abbot! Quick, arrest them!"

Lin Bei and Constantine were taken aback and looked behind them at the same time.

Then they saw a group of monks standing in the distance, holding torches and staring at them with grim expressions.

The one who just reprimanded them was the bald monk who was leading the group.

Lin Bei was somewhat surprised, not expecting the plot to have changed again. In the original story, these monks wouldn't have come out in the middle of the night.

After a moment's thought, Lin Bei guessed the reason.

It must have been his conversation with Constantine as they passed the abbot's room that woke up the bald monk next door.

Fearing exposure, the bald monk decided to play the victim, framing Lin Bei and Constantine for violating the rules by claiming the abbot's death.

Lin Bei raised an eyebrow, stopped using the power of the Shadow Monarch, and quietly waited for the group of monks to rush over in a huff.

Constantine, however, pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and gave a cold laugh: "What makes you think we killed him? Where's the evidence? Where are the witnesses? If you ask me, I think you're the one who killed him. You're framing us."

The bald monk's face stiffened, then he shouted even louder, "Don't believe him! These two are heretics. The abbot has wanted to get rid of them for a long time. Someone must have leaked this information to them, which is why they attacked the abbot! We must not be misled by them. Arrest them now and take them to the church for an exorcism!" After he finished speaking, the other monks, their faces contorted with rage, pounced on Lin Bei and Constantine.

Constantine clicked his tongue impatiently and turned to Lin Bei: "Aren't you going to deal with this? It's going to be a bit of a hassle, isn't it?"

Lin Bei crossed his arms and said calmly, "Why are you in such a hurry? There's something that will help us get rid of these troublesome people."

As soon as Lin Bei finished speaking, the monks arrived in front of Lin Bei and Constantine.

Before they could even surround Lin Bei and Constantine, one of the monks' expressions suddenly changed drastically. Trembling, he pointed behind Lin Bei and Constantine and cried out, "Quick, look! What's that? What's that there?!"

As soon as he shouted, everyone's eyes turned to the person behind Lin Bei and his companion.

There was a well behind them.

All the monks were familiar with this well because the bodies of people who had "failed to be exorcised" were thrown into it in the past.

But now, it seems something is emerging from that well.

The black aura that had solidified into a tangible form surged out of the well, followed by a chilling aura that enveloped everyone. The monks stared in shock at this scene, frozen in place.

The bald monk was equally shocked.

Just then, a dark hand clung to the edge of the well, and a figure slowly climbed out of the well.

The monks held their breath, watching this scene, unsure how to react.

The bald monk was the quickest to react. After the dark figure climbed out of the well, a look of surprise and joy appeared on the bald monk's face. He then knelt on the ground without hesitation and shouted with a devout expression, "Great Lord, you have finally come to earth! We are your faithful servants. Please grant us superhuman strength and endless wealth!"

The other monks then came to their senses and knelt down one after another, pleading with the dark figure that had floated in mid-air, begging it to grant them extraordinary power and endless wealth.

Constantine was dumbfounded when he saw this.

Lin Bei nudged Constantine with his elbow and laughed, "Guess what's going to happen next?"

Constantine snapped out of his reverie, took a drag on his cigarette, and glanced at the demon behind him, seemingly casually: "What else could happen? Since it's Agares, the second of Solomon's seventy-two demons, there's nothing to look forward to. This guy hates humans the most, considering all humans as inferior food. He even thinks that the human world was originally hell, only that it was stolen by despicable humans."

Constantine laughed as he spoke, looking at the monks kneeling and begging the devil for blessings, his eyes filled with pity: "I wonder who instilled this idea in them, that the devil or evil god would generously bestow benefits upon them? Good heavens, this is utterly ridiculous. I can even foresee their fate."

As soon as he finished speaking, the black figure in mid-air began to swell, as if something was struggling to break out of Marek's body.

The kneeling monks, believing their prayers had been answered, continued to shout out their desires with greedy expressions.

Until a chilling growl came from mid-air, Malek's body finally shattered into countless pieces and fell from the sky, revealing a monster with ram's horns before everyone's eyes.

The monks were stunned for a moment, but then they were given no time to react.

Agares spread his sharp fingers, manipulating the black aura surrounding him, gathering it into a ball, and then slamming it down hard.

Lin Bei and Constantine considerately stepped aside, and then a huge cloud of black mist suddenly descended upon the group of monks.

The black aura instantly spread out, completely surrounding all the monks.

The monks were initially laughing excitedly, but then one painful scream after another rang out.

"No, this isn't right! It hurts, it hurts so much! My eyes, my hands!"

As the screams grew more and more shrill, Constantine rubbed his arms and rolled his eyes: "Damn it, when will Agares change his twisted sense of humor? He likes to melt humans all the time. Before, he could only melt human souls in Hell, but now that he's in a good mood, he's just killing his way into the human world."

Just as Constantine was complaining, the monks' shrill screams gradually subsided.

Once all sounds had disappeared, Lin Bei slightly moved his fingers, and a gentle breeze swept by, dispersing the black aura swirling in front of Lin Bei and his companion.

As the black smoke dissipated, the monks who had been kneeling on the ground all disappeared.

What's chilling is that the monks' clothes were left behind on the spot.

Constantine crossed his arms and sighed, "Let's end this quickly, Lin Bei. This is too boring. Kill Agares."

Lin Bei glanced indifferently at the monks' robes scattered on the ground and chuckled, "Do you need to tell me?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lin Bei activated the power of the Shadow Monarch. Black liquid poured out from under Lin Bei's feet and rushed towards Agares in mid-air.

Agares initially didn't take these two humans seriously.

He finally came to the human world, and he wanted to kill all the humans in the world and turn the human world into a new hell. How could he possibly care about these two humans?
But he ignored the two humans, one of whom had no intention of letting him go.

Agares saw a mysterious black liquid flying towards him and immediately raised his hand to manipulate the surrounding black smoke, completely enveloping himself.

Lin Bei frowned slightly when the black liquid enveloped him.

Because the moment the black liquid enveloped him, Agares vanished.

Lin Bei's eyes turned cold, and he chuckled, "No one has ever been able to escape from me."

After saying that, Lin Bei snapped his fingers, and the black liquid instantly surged in all directions, covering the entire monastery.

Lin Bei looked at the well and sneered, "Agares, you're supposed to be the second high-level demon, why are you acting like a coward? With this little ability, you still want to destroy the world? It's laughable."

After saying that, Lin Bei raised his hand and pointed it at the well opening, coldly saying, "Flames are raging."

As soon as he finished speaking, a huge fireball appeared out of thin air and quickly disappeared into the well.

As the giant fireball disappeared from the wellhead, the scorching temperature around it gradually decreased.

As the wellhead flashed red light, an angry growl came from the bottom of the well.

Constantine peered down into the well, clapping his hands with a grin: "This is truly spectacular! Even the high and mighty Agares has been chased around like a madman by a fireball. Hey Agares, didn't you consider yourself superior? How come you're being frightened like a mouse by human magic?" (End of Chapter)
