Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 315 Three Women of the United Front
Chapter 315 Three Women of the United Front
Harry picked up his wand and used Transfiguration to turn a chair nearby into a bed, then placed Anne on it.
It took Anne quite a while to slowly wake up.
After seeing her brother, who had become invisible like a ghost, she hiccuped.
Harry: Huh?
"Sebastian!"
Anne burst into tears. She reached out to hug her brother, only to find that they were now separated by death.
"Don't cry, Anne." Sebastian gently patted Anne's head with his transparent hand. "At least we can still meet—ha, you're still the same as before, still that lovely little girl."
“But, but…” Annie hiccuped again, “you’ve become like this…what happened? Why have you become a ghost?”
“Oh, Anne,” Sebastian said with a chuckle, “that’s a fucking, absolutely a long story, and I don’t think you’d want to hear it, and I don’t really want to talk to you about these sad things.”
“Of course.” He turned back and waved to Orminus in the portrait. “Orminus is here too. You can say hello to him.”
Anne then noticed Orminus in the portrait; he was waving at her.
She felt dizzy again and fainted once more.
"What happened to her?" Papi asked curiously. "Is it because she's weak after just waking up from the seal?"
“No,” Vivi shook her head and said, “It’s a self-protective mechanism of the human body… She was so sad that she triggered the body’s defense mechanism to prevent the extreme sadness from having any adverse effects on her body.”
“What should we do?” Cassandra glanced down at the unconscious Anne. “We can’t just let her stay unconscious like this, can we? She has to face these things eventually.”
"Then we'll just have to accept it." Harry reached out and patted Anne's cheek. "Hey, Anne, wake up—"
“Harry!” Sebastian exclaimed, “You bastard! How could you do this to Anne! Let go of her! You womanizer! I won’t allow you to touch Anne!”
“No, the pigeons?” Harry looked up. “I just wanted to wake her up, what’s the rush?”
Just then, Anne slowly woke up again.
"Stop arguing!" Annie sobbed. "I'm sorry, brother... and Ormenus..."
“Alright.” Harry sighed. He wasn’t good at comforting girls, so he just said, “I suggest you don’t be so sad. After all, you wouldn’t want them to have given their lives for you in vain, would you? Living well is more important than anything else—at least they left behind portraits and souls. Look at me, my parents didn’t even leave behind portraits…”
Anne choked back two sobs, her face still streaked with tears.
“I’m out of ideas.” Harry spread his hands. “Vivi, you tell me!”
“I have nothing to say, Harry.” Vivi shook her head. “These things can only be resolved when she figures them out herself. There’s no point in us trying to persuade her.”
“It’s not your fault, Anne,” Ominis said with a chuckle. “Sebastian wasn’t imprisoned in Azkaban because of you, but because your uncle Solomon accused him of using the Unforgivable Curse. As for me, I’m also cursed by my bloodline and won’t live much longer.”
“Even so…” Annie sobbed. A young girl like her simply couldn’t accept that two living people had been taken away from this world forever because of her.
“I already said, this is none of your business, Annie,” Sebastian said nonchalantly. “It’s just a ghost. Maybe I can stay at Hogwarts forever, like Professor Binns and Sir Nicholas. That’s not a bad thing, is it?”
“If it were me, I’d think it’s good too,” Papiyas said with a smile.
She wasn't lying, after all, she had been existing in the world as a soul before this.
If it weren't for Harry's unseen hand exerting its power, how could she have been resurrected?
“Alright, don’t be sad, Annie,” Ominis said with a smile. “Neither your family nor your friends want to see you like this… You should accept it all and live well, understand?”
“I…” Annie wiped away her tears.
“We should talk about what’s next,” Harry said, looking up. “Anne dropped out in the second semester of fourth year, so… well, I think she could join our class, what do you think, Sebastian?”
“That would be wonderful, of course.” Sebastian smiled. “You really should get your life back on track, Annie… The curse of dark magic has disrupted your life, and I don’t want you to sink into despair like this. You should accept this fact, lest my death have been in vain—”
“Hey, Seber,” Harry corrected, “your death has nothing to do with Anne; it was your uncle Solomon who reported it—”
"I understand." Sebastian rolled his eyes, hovered in mid-air for a moment, and even did a somersault.
“Now there’s another problem,” Cassandra said suddenly, her expression turning serious. “Where will Anne stay during the holidays? The Salu family is long gone. I’m thinking… perhaps it would be better for her to stay with the Malfoys. What do you think, Vivi?”
At this point, in order to unite the front, Cassandra stopped calling Grindelwald by his name and instead used a more intimate nickname for him.
“I think it’s a good idea,” Vivi nodded. “I think the Malfoy family home is indeed a suitable place for Anne to stay temporarily. After all, the Malfoy manor is large enough to accommodate a homeless little girl like her. In addition, most importantly, she is a pure-blood wizard, which fits the Malfoy family’s philosophy very well, doesn’t it?”
“In that case, it’s decided,” Cassandra said quickly. “Annie, we’ll go back to the Isle of Wight first, and I’ll talk to the current head of the Malfoy family about this there. From now on, you’ll be a member of Malfoy Manor.”
She added, "I will treat you like my own sister. After all, we and Sebastian are all members of the Order of the Phoenix, aren't we? His sister is our sister."
“Yes, Anne.” Papby had also figured it out. She leaned forward and hugged Anne, saying, “Don’t worry, Anne, if you don’t like the Malfoys, you can come to my nephew’s house—oh, the Scamanders’ house. It’s not as luxurious as the Malfoys’, but it’s warm enough.”
"Thank you..." Anne said, wiping away her tears.
Before Harry could react, he saw Anne being completely taken care of by these people.
Oh well, he never intended for Anne to move into number 12 Grimmauld Place anyway.
He had initially planned to do so, but his killer instincts suddenly told him not to, otherwise it wouldn't just be the jealous Cassandra who would be angry.
Tell me, if Grindelwald, Europe's number one jealous woman, got jealous, wouldn't you be scared?
“Harry, what do you think?” Vivi turned around and asked very seriously.
“I have no objection,” Harry said quickly. “I agree with you all.” Sebastian, the doting brother, was even more convinced. Although he knew Anne wasn’t interested in Harry, who knew if Harry, that scarred Veela, might seduce his poor little sister?
Just to be on the safe side, let's keep her away from Harry!
Sebastian thought this through and made a plan in his mind.
From now on, I must keep a close eye on Annie and never let her have a chance to be alone with Harry.
What? Harry is my brother?
Even brothers won't do!
I treat you like a brother, you can even be my godfather if you want, but brother-in-law is out of the question!
You already have three girlfriends! And you want another one?!
Beast!
Poor Anne was thus arranged in such a clear way that she didn't understand why everyone was so enthusiastic towards her until she left.
Back in school, Miss Malfoy was so aloof and haughty, Miss Grindelwald so unapproachable, and Miss Sweeting wasn't very close to her either...
Anne didn't think much of it; she just took it as everyone taking care of her, out of respect for Sebastian.
“I’ll have to talk to Dumbledore about this. We’re getting another transfer student,” Harry said with a chuckle. “To be honest, we weren’t used to not having any transfer students last year—you see, Vivi was the one who transferred to Hogwarts in the second year, and Papiyas and Cassandra in the third… No one transferred in the fourth year, and now we have one in the fifth…”
No one cared about Harry's lame joke. Sebastian had already floated to the portrait of Orminus. The two whispered to each other and sometimes looked at Harry together, making Harry feel a little uneasy.
What are these two talking about?
Could it be that they're talking badly about me?
Harry thought about it and decided he shouldn't think the worst of his buddy.
After staying there for a while, Vivi stood up and said goodbye to Anne, Ominis, and Sebastian.
Sebastian had originally intended to come along, but considering that he was currently in ghost form, it wouldn't look good if he caused any trouble among the Muggles, so he didn't take him along.
Upon arriving at the Isle of Wight, Cassandra, accompanied by Anne, found Lucius enjoying cigars with Mr. Granger.
It's clear that Lucius quite likes cigars. He's tried many over the past few days and has finally fallen in love with a brand called Trinidad, specifically the "Creation" lance cigar.
In his view, the size and thickness of the spear cigar were very elegant to hold, perfectly befitting his pure-blood status.
Trinidad cigars are a relatively young brand, a new brand that was launched in 1991 and initially intended as an exclusive gift for heads of state.
But as a top London dentist who deals extensively with high society, Mr. Granger always has his ways.
"Lucius."
Cassandra flicked her little hands, casting a cleansing spell to disperse the swirling smoke.
“Oh, Aunt Cassandra,” Lucius put down his cigar, looked up, and asked, “What’s wrong?”
The title was chosen by Cassandra, since calling someone "Grandma" in public was rather sensational.
But the title "aunt" is more acceptable, after all, it's not surprising that such a family has a younger aunt.
“This is Anne, Anne Saru,” Cassandra introduced. “She’s my friend. Her family has all passed away, and I want her to stay at Malfoy Manor during the holidays while she’s enrolled at Hogwarts.”
“No problem,” Lucius nodded.
Outsiders might not understand, but Lucius knew exactly what was going on.
It seems that another girl trapped in time and space has returned, or perhaps she is my classmate?
It's perfectly fine for such a venerable figure to live in the house.
It doesn't matter what the reason is.
“Hello, Mr. Malfoy,” Anne said timidly, bowing to Lucius.
She still viewed the Malfoy family as a colossal behemoth that dominated the entire British magical world, completely unaware of the extent of their current decline.
“Hello, Miss Salu.” Lucius nodded politely as a greeting. “I will speak to Cici about this later.”
With Lucius's permission, Cassandra took Anne back to her room.
“You can stay here for now,” Cassandra said with a smile. “As for clothes… we can go buy you some new clothes tomorrow or the day after, how about that?”
"I'll do whatever you say," Annie replied sweetly.
“Then I’ll be leaving now. Just call me if you need anything,” Cassandra said.
“Okay, goodnight, Cassandra,” Anne said.
Cassandra nodded, turned and left the room.
She made her way to Harry's room, where she met up with Papiyas and Vivi.
"So?" Papiyas asked. "Did Lucius agree to let Anne move in?"
"Do you think he'll object?" Vivi smiled, pursing her lips. "Oh, to put it another way—do you think it would make a difference even if he objected?"
“That’s true.” Papby nodded. “After all, Cassandra is the Malfoy family’s—well, former heiress, right? And Lucius’s great-aunt.”
That's true, but if Cassandra were just an ordinary great-aunt, her words wouldn't carry so much weight in the Malfoy family.
The problem is that Cassandra's mastery of spells is so profound that she can easily pull the Malfoy family into a frenzy. Under the combined effect of seniority and spells, Lucius has no room for objection.
"What about Anne's enrollment?" Papiyas asked again. "Should we ask Dumbledore about this, or Professor McGonagall?"
“You’re enough, Papiyas.” Vivi reached out and pinched Papiyas’s still slightly chubby cheeks. “You’re a Hogwarts school board member, you know. Getting a student transferred to Hogwarts shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
