Chapter 29 Dumbledore's Summons

Chapter 29 Dumbledore's Summons

After Potions class, Harry was in a very bad mood.

In addition to Snape's almost humiliating questions in class, the low laughs of the Slytherin students continued to pour into Harry's ears.

He couldn't understand why Snape hated him.

"Don't worry," said Ron. "Snape often deducts points from Fred and George. The two points you lost are nothing. By the way, aren't we going to Hagrid's for tea later? Maybe we can ask Ivy to come along."

Harry's invitation ultimately failed. He almost heard Ivy say "Okay", but Snape, who looked like a big black bat, interrupted everything.

"I'm afraid Mr. Doom can't keep your appointment, Potter." Snape stared down at Harry's face, even when he was talking to Ivy. "Professor Dumbledore wants to see you, Mr. Doom. The password is Lemon Hard Drops. You know where to meet him."

So Ivy shrugged his shoulders to express his regret and said to Harry, "Thank you for your invitation, but I'm afraid I won't be able to keep it until next time."

"Oh...uh. It's okay, we were just chatting." Harry tried hard not to be affected by Snape's gaze.

"Hmph. If I were you, Mr. Potter, I would make good use of my spare time to read more books in order to drive away the trivialities and dead flies in my mind, instead of 'chatting'." But it was not only Snape's gaze that could affect Harry, but also his words.

Fortunately, he left as soon as he said this, without giving Harry the opportunity to make more mistakes.

"Honestly, has he always been this vicious?" Harry expressed his thoughts as he watched Snape's black robes completely disappear behind the stairs.

Ivy nodded. "Perhaps using the word sarcastic to describe his mouth would be a little bland...but don't worry, he is a good person after all."

Harry and Ron both expressed their doubts, and then both expressed their regret that Ivy could not keep the appointment, and then walked out of the Slytherin dungeon with heavy steps.

Ivy looked at the backs of the two and shook her head. Gryffindors were indeed prone to mental trauma in Potions class, and Harry was always under 200% firepower coverage.

----

The four founders built Hogwarts tall and majestic. Although it looks imposing from the outside, living inside would be a bit tiring.

The principal's office is on the highest floor of the main tower, almost catching up with the astronomy tower on the other side.

This is a bit of a challenge for Ivy, whose physical attributes are not very good.

Fortunately, in addition to being a wizard, he is also a mage.

The spell of Long Stride was tailor-made for traveling, so Ivy was able to cross the large and small stairs in Hogwarts at an extremely fast speed and arrive at the oak door outside the headmaster's room.

Ivy knocked on the door, and Dumbledore's voice came from inside: "It must be Mr. Doom, please come in!"

The principal's office was still the same as before, with shelves filled with books, bottles and jars placed everywhere, silverware glittering in glass cabinets, narrow-necked bottles emitting smoke, and an old man with a white beard sitting on a cushion.

Dumbledore was wearing a dark blue robe with golden stars on it, and the tip of his pointed wizard hat was draped softly over his shoulders. "Welcome." Dumbledore extended his hand to invite Ivy to sit down. The chair looked very soft and could provide a good wrapping feeling for the buttocks when sitting on it.

There was a small plate of candy on the table. It was yellow hard candy. Ivy guessed that this was the source of the password.

Dumbledore noticed Ivy's gaze and introduced the candy to him: "Lemon hard candy! I bought it from a Muggle store. But they don't seem to accept gold Galleons, so I had to use a little magic. It's filled with jam, very delicious, would you like some?"

Ivy reached out and picked up a candy and put it in his mouth. It tasted sour and sweet, and was really good.

Although he didn't know why Dumbledore wanted to call him here, Ivy believed that he had nothing to fear and so he tasted the candy in his mouth with peace of mind.

You have to know that he has been a good student who abides by the laws since he entered school. He didn't even use any dark magic, just out of respect for Dumbledore.

"Mr. Doom, I wonder what you think of Muggles and their society?" Dumbledore gave him an inquiring look.

So this is the "main course"? It seems that Voldemort is indeed in such a state that he is not even worthy of being served.

Ivy muttered in his mind, but there was no expression on his face. He thought for a moment before answering Dumbledore's question.

"Before I became a student at Hogwarts, I was a Muggle. And the Muggle society at that time was far less safe and peaceful than it is now."

"In my opinion, Muggles are no different from wizards except that they can't wave a small wooden stick and release some sparks. They are even more creative than wizards. The Muggle society more than a hundred years ago is incomparable to today. For many people, it is a luxury to fill their stomachs. Disease and hunger threaten many people's lives. But now, cities are expanding, transportation is convenient, and lights are everywhere. It is much better than more than a hundred years ago!"

"On the contrary, the British wizarding world is not much different from what it was more than a hundred years ago. At least I didn't encounter any resistance to integrating into it."

Dumbledore nodded. He himself was over a hundred years old, and he would have seen and heard more than Ivy. After all, he had not been sealed in a crystal for more than a hundred years due to a magical accident.

"But I heard that you had some conflicts with your classmates?" Dumbledore asked. After Madam Pomfrey's miraculous healing, the Slytherin students who were hospitalized were basically discharged on the second day, and those in the worst condition were all recovered on the third day.

"Oh! That's exactly what I wanted to say." Ivy threw another candy into her mouth. "When did the Slytherin culture become so conservative? The pure-blood theory? It's really going backwards. When I was in school, there wasn't such serious discrimination based on bloodline. And I was holding back. It was a formal duel."

Ivy had actually long felt that Dumbledore was spying on his thoughts through eye contact, but this had no effect on the master of dark magic, and he was sure that he had not revealed any flaws.

In fact, Ivy's mentality had completely changed since he discovered his own golden finger, the Destruction Grimoire.

When he was first freed from the crystal, he was determined not to leave Hogwarts, so he showed weakness in the battle with Dumbledore.

Later, when I found my name written in the admission book, my mentality changed for the first time and I became less cautious.

After completely reviewing the Tome of Destruction in the Leaky Cauldron and discovering his own character panel, Ivy decided to let himself go and do whatever he wanted.

He is the foremost master of the dark arts, and has shown goodwill to Dumbledore. As long as Ivy does not jump back and forth on Dumbledore's minefield, I believe Dumbledore will still make the elimination of Voldemort his primary goal.
