Chapter 228 The Catachan Pregnancy Hunter
Chapter 228 The Catachan Pregnancy Hunter
"Lord, Lord Mikel, the Katachans, regardless of gender, are all excellent soldiers, and the individual qualities of the elite are no less than those of the Sun Auxiliary Army's elite."
"From what I understand, half of the people in the Katachan do not survive to infancy, and the other half do not live to adulthood."
"Therefore, everyone who lives to adulthood is an excellent warrior."
"The hunter" exclaimed in admiration.
"But the Katachans still need to receive training; they need to learn Vostonian to communicate with friendly forces."
"They will also receive training in tactical formations and other areas so that they can more effectively exert their combat power on large-scale battlefields."
The Reaper Lord asked, "What do you think are the characteristics of the Katachon people?"
The hunter pondered for several seconds before answering.
"This world of death has forged them into complex Qatachans who combine obvious recklessness, bluffing, constant vigilance, and near-paranoid caution."
"They excel at rapid movement, close-quarters combat, infiltration, and sniping; they are adept at using booby traps and traps."
"The best among them possess a keen sense of perception that rivals that of the Shadow Order, though they are slightly weaker in their perception of the subspace. They excel at observation and launching surprise attacks."
The Reaper Lord nodded slightly and spoke.
"This is consistent with my observations; the Katachan people are well-suited to be hunters."
"Be good at observing the environment and using traps."
"As the father of genes said, Katachon is a natural hunter, the most suitable world for recruiting the Seventh Chapter."
After sighing, he asked the "hunter" in charge of recruitment.
"How is the conscription process progressing?"
“My lord, there are approximately 150,000 eligible boys in Katachon, and each of them is a promising candidate who meets the requirements for being a candidate.”
Seeing the Reaper Lord's delighted expression, the chief apothecary spoke up to offer a reminder.
“Sanchez, you can’t recruit them all into the warband.”
"While this will increase the number of new recruits in the chapter in the short term, it will lead to a lack of males in the next generation, resulting in a decline in the future numbers."
The Reaper Lord understood that the Chief Apothecary's reminder was correct. "I understand."
He then turned to the "hunter" in charge of recruiting new soldiers and said, "The selection of new soldiers should be the best of the best."
“Each candidate is one in a hundred.”
The Reaper Lord then said to the "Hunter" in charge of recruiting auxiliary soldiers: "Each auxiliary soldier should breed offspring before leaving Katachon to serve."
The two "hunters" responded in unison: "Yes, sir."
The Reaper looked at the Chief Pharmacist and asked.
"The population of this dead world is only about five million, which is far too few for a warband's recruitment world."
Is there a way to ensure the world's population continues to grow?
The chief pharmacist replied immediately.
"Yes, my father had already told us before that this world of death is dangerous, so the most scarce resource for the Katachan people is all kinds of medicine."
“I have already provided them with a large amount of medicine.”
"The 'pharmacists' are also researching local jungle medicines and developing medicines that can effectively counteract local biological toxins."
Finally, the chief pharmacist smiled confidently.
"Sanchez, your chapter's recruitment of the world's population will continue to grow."
As the Seventh Legion established itself in Catachan, the five worlds of the Triken system completed their first phase of development.
On planet Triken III, the Harvest Priestess Malena flew through the air in a shuttle, looking down at the surface below.
Bright, warm sunlight spills across the ground, and a picturesque river meanders through the fertile black alluvial plain.
The rice paddies stretch as far as the eye can see, with the high-yield rice ears swaying in the wind.
The irrigation system draws water from the Tevere River, and the sprinkler system fills the air with water mist, creating countless rainbows out of thin air.
The newly promoted "physician," who had just returned from the Flame Wheel Galaxy, looked down at the CS-68 farm.
"It is a world that is both abundant and beautiful, like a picture that will never be destroyed."
Kerry's homeland, after the widespread adoption of planting and animal husbandry, inevitably paid the price of environmental damage. Unlike most of the agricultural worlds in the Empire built according to standard templates, the Cradle of the Sea did not have fertilizer factories that turned the air yellow.
No extraterrestrial transport ships were delivering ever-increasing amounts of nitrates and phosphates there.
There was no thick brown pesticide smoke permeating the planting area. Instead, bio-fertilizer extracted from fish heads, fish bones, fish skin, shrimp shells, crab shells, shellfish, viscera, and scraps of meat irrigated the fertile farmland.
Even so, the farmland of the Cradle of the Sea inevitably suffers from soil acidification due to the use of fertilizers and the four harvests per sidereal year.
Similarly, aquaculture and fishing also cause some damage to aquatic ecosystems.
But Triken, despite its rapid development, has not suffered any environmental damage.
Marlena nodded slightly, her delicate nose catching the scent of beets and cabbages wafting up from the CT-26 farm and into the shuttle.
She parted her full lips slightly and said with a sigh.
"Even though the Eldar are aliens, it must be admitted that they do have unique abilities in the transformation of the world."
Marlena rubbed the blue data crystal in her right hand. It came from the Vigilant Galaxy and was the result of the Arbitrator Lord's torture of Biye-Tan's vengeful bishop.
The Avenger Bishop had some knowledge of environmental modification, and after the Arbitration Lord interrogated him, he recorded this knowledge into the data crystal.
After receiving it, Nimrod decided to give it to Malena, and Kerry brought it back.
Malena's eyes were deep, and the corners of her mouth were turned up.
[Use psionic power to transform the world like the Eldar, and create a farm in Katachon where plants have their own will.]
This is quite a challenge, but very interesting.
With a worried look on his bronze face, Kerry looked down at the fruit trees of CG-38 Farm, laden with smooth fruit, and asked.
"Sir, are you really going to entrust me with the responsibility of ensuring food supply and overseeing the environmental impact of industrial development in these five star systems?"
After years of development, the Triken system has become the Legion's most important supply base.
To date, the Eleventh Legion has a total of sixty-eight star systems in the Misty Starfield.
In most worlds, the world's own food production is insufficient to fully meet the food needs of its inhabitants, requiring varying degrees of supplementation from the outside world.
Once Triken's supplies are lost, many worlds could fall into famine and turmoil.
Kerry lacked confidence in his ability to shoulder such a heavy responsibility.
Malena looked at Kerry and said encouragingly.
“Kerry, you have been with me for so long and have received Lord Ninglu’s blessing. You are now a true ‘farmer’.”
"You are one of my top priorities for development, and you are capable of taking on this responsibility."
"I have already laid the foundation in the Triken system; you can simply develop along my lines."
Marlena's brown eyes were fixed on MY-58 Ranch, where the shepherds were driving their flock of sheep.
"Moreover, Lord Ninglu has ordered me to go to Katachon."
The "Harvest Priestess" had deep, brown eyes. She thought of living vines and man-eating flowers, and her heart was filled with longing.
[Obtaining those mutated plants will greatly enhance my combat power.]
“You are someone I trust, and Triken can only be entrusted to you.”
Malena's trust gave Kerry confidence, and she decided to accept the appointment.
"My lord, with your trust, I will do my utmost and will not let you down."
Malena nodded slightly and said to Kerry.
"To become a true 'physician,' you need to practice."
“I have spoken with the Legion’s pharmacists, and they would welcome you as a ‘doctor’ to treat candidates who have failed the transformation.”
Although the transformation of the warriors of Vostronia and the Cradle of the Sea who followed Nimrod has been completed, the apothecary facilities on Triken Prime still exist, serving as the Eleventh Legion's third largest transformation base.
The two major modification bases are the flagship of the Primarch, the Shadow of Reign, and the Void Hunter, where the Chief Pharmacist resides.
The Legion Monastery, which is still under construction, has only recently had some of its completed renovations put into use, and at present, it can only provide renovations for the Vostonians.
It will take time to surpass the three major recruit training bases.
As the two spoke, they flew over the YM-81 ranch, which stretched for several kilometers, with the corn rustling.
"My lord, thank you for your help. I will certainly do my best as a 'physician' and serve the legion."
Three days later, Malena boarded the Voidship and sailed towards Katachon.
