Harry doesn't want to be a wizard, he wants to be a superhero

Chapter 340 Fudge steps down, Malfoy takes over!

Harry shook his head and sneered:
"I'm sorry, Mr. Virgil, this is not something you can decide, nor is it something I can decide. It is the final result of the hearing."

Now, Dumbledore will act as the judge to determine whether Fudge is fit to continue serving as Minister for Magic.

Dumbledore nodded, walked to the judge's seat, and then the familiar words began to ring out:
"The disciplinary hearing for Cornell Oswald Fudge, scheduled to begin on August 12, is now in session. The hearing will be conducted by Albus Percival Woolflick Bryan Dumbledore."

Defendant Cornelius Oswald Fudge, you are accused of concealing the fact that Voldemort had been resurrected while serving as Minister for Magic, and of releasing a large number of Dementors into the Muggle world without authorization, resulting in the deaths of dozens of Muggles!
Your actions have seriously violated the International Confederation of Wizards' Secrecy Law, the Anti-Black Magic Law, the Wizengamo Charter, and the Regulations for the Handling of Magical Accidents and Disasters.

Do you plead guilty to the charges?

"No! I didn't!" Fudge sprang up from his chair, his fingers turning white from the force, his voice shrill like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. "Voldemort never came back to life! That was a hoax you and Harry Potter spread!"

Dumbledore was not surprised at all by Fudge's response. He waved his wand lightly, and a witness walked into the courtroom from outside.

The witness was an elderly wizard. He glanced furtively at Dumbledore, then looked at Fudge with some fear, before finally lowering his head and speaking in a somber tone:
“I saw Voldemort. He really is back. He’s in the suburbs outside London, England.”

Unexpectedly, someone testified that Voldemort had truly returned. Fudge's eyes widened in fury, and he threatened:
"Think carefully before you answer. Lying in court will not end well."

It was obvious that the people of the Order of the Phoenix had given the old wizard some serious instructions before he came in.

Despite being threatened by Fudge, the old wizard remained steadfast in his accusations: "What I saw is what I saw. I will not be blackmailed by you."

"You!" Fudge's index finger trembled as he pointed at the old wizard, but he quickly regained his composure and glared at Dumbledore.

"Concealing it? I did it for stability! To prevent the wizarding world from descending into chaos!"
You have no idea how many people will flee in panic, how many shops will close, and the entire magical economy will collapse once we acknowledge that the demon has returned!

The couple shouldn't have admitted to the accusation so easily, but Harry secretly cast a spell on him, affecting his mind, which is why things have turned out this way.

Dumbledore glanced at Harry, knowing it was his doing, but said nothing; this was the result of their prior discussion.

Dumbledore's tone remained calm: "So you admit to the accusation?"

Fudge said somewhat frantically, "So what if I admit it? That alone isn't enough to get me dismissed."

Dumbledore shook his head and continued:

"Then we will begin the hearing on the second charge: that you released Dementors into the Muggle world without authorization."

What is your defense regarding this accusation?

Fudge's expression was extremely grim. If it was the first one, he had indeed done it, but he had never heard of the second one.

This second point is slander!

Fudge was panting heavily, his eyes sweeping across the judge's bench as if searching for supporters, but he only saw a cold silence.

This brought his ominous premonition to its peak; it seemed these damned guys had colluded before the hearing, just to get him out of office.

Suddenly, Fudge pointed at Dumbledore, his voice filled with hysterical defense:
"I didn't release the Dementors on my own! It was them...it was they who sensed the darkness and went out of control!"

I just... I just couldn't recall them in time, and they were out of my control.

And those Muggles... they shouldn't have encountered magical creatures in the first place. It's more a matter of inadequate secrecy, how can you blame it all on me?
I deny it. These accusations are all slander; you're trying to pin the blame on me!

Fudge was right; it was indeed slander, and most people at the scene knew it was slander.

But nobody cared. At the very beginning of the hearing, everyone knew that Fudge would definitely step down today.

Dumbledore paused for a moment, his expression remaining calm, and asked, "Do you have anything to say about this accusation?"

Fudge suddenly realized a flaw and quickly questioned:
"You say I released Dementors into the Muggle world without authorization, so what evidence do you have to prove it?"

Harry took out a document and controlled it to float onto Dumbledore's table:

"This is the unified testimony of the Aurors working in Azkaban. Their unified testimony admits that the Minister ordered them to release some of the Dementors. I think this testimony is sufficient to serve as key evidence."

Harry then copied the testimony and made it float in front of the jury and Fudge.

After reading the testimony, Fudge's expression turned ferocious; he finally realized he had been framed.

He roared angrily, "You're framing me! You're framing the Minister of Magic! I get it! You've been in cahoots all along! You're all in this together!"

Looking at the server that had gone berserk, some jurors looked at him with pity; these jurors were the ones who knew the truth.

But some jurors watched the scene unfold, bewildered and unsure of what was happening.

But regardless of the outcome, the final result was already determined. Dumbledore ignored Fudge and said directly:
"Now, those who agree with the conviction, please raise your hands!"

All those who knew the truth, as well as most who didn't, raised their hands in a flurry, leaving only a very small number who didn't.

This group includes supporters of the revision, including Dolores Umbridge, the Deputy Minister of Magic, a middle-aged woman.

Her face was pale, but she didn't say anything; the situation was now beyond her control.

Dumbledore nodded and slammed his gavel down forcefully, saying:

"Since the accusations are valid, Fouché is hereby removed from his ministerial post."

After hearing this voice, Fudge's face turned ashen. He never imagined that today, which should have been the day he challenged Harry and Dumbledore, would turn into the day of his complete defeat.

………………

In the blink of an eye, the day for the start of the school term arrived.

On September 1, King's Cross Station was still filled with the mixed smells of coal smoke and baked pies.

The Hogwarts Express, like a crimson python coiled on the tracks, had countless excited faces peering out of its windows. The laughter of wizards mingled with the cooing of owls, startling the pigeons under the eaves.

Harry and his two companions arrived early and easily found an empty box. They went inside, but there wasn't a sleeping professor in sight.

After saying goodbye to the Weasleys, the train slowly started moving towards Hogwarts.

Just then, the compartment door was pushed open with a bang. Malfoy leaned against the door frame, his golden hair gleaming coldly in the carriage lights, followed by the two massive shadows of Crabbe and Goyle.

His gaze, like a scalpel chilled to ice, swept across Harry's face, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

“Hey, isn’t this the ‘Boy Who Lived’?” he drawled, his voice dripping with venom. “How was your summer vacation? Didn’t expect I’d reap the rewards of your hard work, huh?” Harry didn’t answer, but simply waved his wand, and Malfoy, along with his two henchmen, flew off.

Ron frowned, scratched his messy red hair, swallowed the pumpkin juice in his mouth, and glanced irritably at the closed door of the private room:

"What's going on? This whole thing looks so familiar!"

He nudged Harry with his elbow, his voice full of disgust:

"Wasn't it like this in first grade? Malfoy would act like a cat whose tail had been stepped on whenever he saw you, and all he could say was savior and Mudblood."

As he spoke, Ron leaned back in his chair and rolled his eyes:
"I bet my dad will find out the next sentence. Can't he come up with something new?"

By the way, he does have a new trick up his sleeve. After all, his father is now the Minister of Magic, and he's quite arrogant now.

"He got a few scoldings from Harry before, so he didn't dare bother us anymore. Now look what's happened, he's in trouble again this semester."

Unlike Ron, Hermione was more observant.

She tapped the open pages of the book lightly with her fingertips, then turned her gaze away from the direction Malfoy had left, thoughtfully adjusting her glasses.
"Didn't you guys notice? Malfoy's hands were shaking the whole time."

Although he still spoke with that same harsh tone, his steps were noticeably unsteady.

Ron clicked his tongue. "He's scared? He's afraid of Harry? Then why is he mocking us? Is he out of his mind?"

“It’s more like he had to do it because he was forced to.” Hermione frowned slightly. “Like… someone was forcing him.”

She paused, then looked at Harry. "Perhaps he didn't want to provoke us at all, but he had to play this role according to someone else's wishes."

Hearing Hermione's analysis, Harry admired his little witch even more.

He hadn't expected Hermione's observation skills to be so sharp now, able to detect Malfoy's unusual behavior based on just a few seconds of footage.

Indeed, Malfoy was already his lender, so how could he possibly dare to come up and mock him?
He did this only because Harry asked him to.

After Fudge stepped down, with Harry and Dumbledore's behind-the-scenes maneuvering, Malfoy successfully became Minister for Magic.

However, due to various reasons, the relationship between Malfoy and Harry could not be exposed, which led to the current situation.

If the young Malfoy and Harry have a bad relationship, it can, to some extent, indicate that the old Malfoy and Harry have a bad relationship.

This would undoubtedly reassure many people, allowing Harry to manipulate the remnants of the Death Eaters to secretly deal with the stubborn elements of the Ministry of Magic.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Harry and his friends disembarked from the carriage, preparing to board the Thestrals to Hogwarts Castle.

On the way, they suddenly noticed two people waving to them from a carriage ahead.

One of them was Cedric, who had faced Voldemort alongside Harry the previous year, and the other witch was his girlfriend, Cho Chang.

After Harry and his two companions responded, they went to the nearest carriage to get in.

Because Harry used to take Hermione and Ron to the Forbidden Forest for training, and they killed many magical creatures, they can now see Thestrals.

Hermione and Ron were curious about what Thestrals' fur felt like, so they touched it.

After they boarded the carriage, a witch holding a book and reading looked at them and asked curiously:

"Can all three of you see Thestrals?"

Hermione nodded. "Yes, but I'd rather not see it."

Hermione shuddered as she recalled her experience in the Forbidden Forest.

During the training in the Forbidden Forest, there were one of the few times when she actually disliked Harry, which shows just how difficult that period was.

Luna clearly didn't understand the implication, so she misunderstood and thought Hermione had the same experience as her.

Luna's mother died in a magical experiment when Luna was nine years old. Luna was present and witnessed the tragedy, and it was this experience that made her eligible to see the Thestrals.

Although she didn't know why Hermione and the others were able to see Thestrals, she assumed it was similar, so she immediately felt much closer to Harry and his friends, and chatted with them all the way.

………………

Time quickly came to the Sorting Ceremony, which proceeded as usual. The only noteworthy thing was that the Sorting Hat sang a new song, which piqued the curiosity of the upperclassmen.

After the Sorting Ceremony, Dumbledore gave a speech:

"Alright, now that we're digesting another incredibly delicious meal, I ask everyone to be quiet for a moment and listen to me talk about the important points for the new semester, as usual."

First-year students should know that the forbidden forest in the hunting grounds is off-limits to students.

Mr. Filch, the administrator, reminds you that you are not allowed to cast spells in the hallways during breaks, and there are many other rules listed on that long list posted on the door of Mr. Filch's office.

This year, there have been two changes in our teaching staff.

We are delighted to welcome Professor Grapland back; she will be teaching you a lesson on protecting magical creatures.

We are equally pleased to introduce Professor Umbridge, our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

A polite but not very enthusiastic round of applause filled the auditorium.

Harry was aware of both changes in the professorships. The reason for the change in the professorship of Magical Creatures was that Hagrid was ill.

This was not because he had a physical illness, but because of his mental state.

Because of a breakup in fourth grade, he was completely devastated, and this may continue for some time to come.

The appointment of the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher was a decision made jointly by Harry and Dumbledore.

Umbridge is the Minister for Magic, and her presence at Hogwarts undoubtedly has the reason of monitoring Harry and Dumbledore.

For this reason, Harry and Dumbledore readily agreed to his professorship application.

After all, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is cursed, and they can't find a replacement for the time being. It's wonderful that their political enemies have walked right into their trap to help them share their burden! (End of Chapter)
