Hogwarts: Becoming the White Lord from Breathing
Chapter 86 On the train
Chapter 86 On the train
There were some minor incidents on the day of departure.
First Fred forgot his Filibuster fireworks, then George forgot his broomstick, and then Ron said he needed to go to the bathroom.
After going around in circles, it seemed that we were about to miss the Hogwarts Express.
This made Mr. Weasley eager to take action.
"No one will see. There's a little button here. It's a stealth booster I installed—it'll get us up into the sky—and then we'll fly above the clouds. It'll be there in ten minutes, and no one will know."
Ever since he secretly modified this magic flying car, he has yet to truly experience it.
"No, Arthur!"
Mrs. Weasley firmly refused him.
With the last ten minutes before the train departed, they arrived at King's Cross Station.
Except for Damon, everyone was a little nervous - they had to pretend to be casual and pass through the wall within ten minutes without attracting the attention of Muggles.
"Harry, go in first and don't push the luggage cart. I'll be watching behind you."
Thinking of Dobby's presence, he was cautious.
Sure enough, after Mrs. Weasley disappeared with Ginny, Harry followed closely, but was knocked to the ground by the partition wall.
"How is this going?"
He hurriedly got up from the ground and turned to look at Damon - it seemed that the other party had anticipated all this?
Incantatio Microcosmica
Damon silently chanted the spell in his mind, his eyes emitting a faint fluorescent light - during the month of practicing Apparition, his proficiency in silent casting had also increased significantly.
However, the more this happened, the more he felt that house-elves were truly a dangerous and even terrifying existence - they could Apparate anytime, anywhere, and cast spells silently. If these creatures were not defeated and forced to sign a slave contract, they would be far more harmful than Voldemort.
Whether it is Voldemort or Grindelwald, if they can recruit a hundred house-elves as their subordinates, it would be much better than them taking great efforts to recruit those subordinates.
Although it is impossible for them to do so.
After all, Voldemort advocates spreading fear, and Grindelwald is a bit like a racist. Although he is relatively friendly to wizards, he will really kill Muggles if he wants to.
People like this probably don't take the elves seriously at all.
"It should be Dobby."
Damon spoke softly.
"Dobby? The one who almost got Harry kicked out by the Dursleys?"
"It actually followed us here? What on earth does it want to do?"
"It wanted to protect you, but it used the wrong method."
Damon stretched his right thumb and middle finger to the wall and snapped his fingers lightly.
"Snapped."
The sound seemed to last only for a moment, but it continued to spread within the magical field of vision, dissolving all the magical barriers in front of it like water waves.
"Okay, let's get on the train and talk about it."
"Let me go first this time!"
Ron saw that Harry was still frightened after the previous collision and suggested leaving first.
This time he directly took the luggage cart, took a deep breath, and crashed directly into the wall pillar!
At the moment when the luggage cart was about to collide with the wall pillar, Harry subconsciously closed his eyes.
"Okay, with me here, he can't interfere here again. You should get going quickly."
Harry opened his eyes and Ron was gone.
"Okay!" Harry nodded and pushed the cart in quickly.
Damon looked around and felt that a shadow disappeared in an instant when he looked at it.
He didn't pay much attention and entered the station.
Harry and Ron were still waiting for him there, but the rest of the Weasley family was nowhere to be seen. They must have been in a hurry to catch the bus.
"Damon, the train is leaving, hurry!"
The two men called out to Damon, and the three of them ran together.
After they got on the bus, there were only a few students left in the aisle. The three of them moved quickly between the seats, causing quite a commotion.
Mostly Harry's, a little bit of Damon's, and Ron's 'that guy's'.
"Hey, Damon, Harry, over here!"
Hermione poked her head out from the distant carriage and waved to the three of them. Neville followed closely behind her, with half of his body out of the carriage.
After they were seated, everyone breathed a sigh of relief and began to chat - the topics mostly revolved around the upcoming Professor Lockhart.
Hermione seemed even more enthusiastic than Ron, and kept sharing with everyone the glorious deeds of Lockhart recorded in the book. Except for Damon, everyone was discussing it with great interest.
Damon took out a book called "Curses and Counter-Curses" to kill time.
But soon, he had no time to read.
As the train started moving, after the first group of people heard that Damon White was in this carriage, wave after wave of Slytherin students rushed here and invited Damon to visit their carriage.
Even though Damon closed the carriage door, greetings from outside continued to come in one after another. The polite and persistent persistence of these people really made people feel helpless.
Such a big commotion even attracted the attention of the first-year students who had not yet been assigned to the college. Many of them secretly leaned their hands over and stuck their heads out, looking from afar in the direction that was blocked by the crowd. The brave ones even left the car and followed the crowd.
In the end, it was Gemma Farley who stood up.
"The situation has become so serious, do you still insist on staying in this carriage?"
She looked at Damon with a smile on her face - no matter which carriage Damon visited, she would definitely follow him.
"Of course." Damon also smiled and drew out his wand. "I have a little hobby - I like to say no to self-righteous people."
He waved his wand, and the carriage door suddenly began to change.
Amidst a burst of exclamations, the originally opened door quickly closed on both sides, and then a new layer of door panels appeared above and below, like a big mouth biting together, turning into an iron wall that refused to let anyone in - in the middle of it, there was a pattern of a sphinx, and a line of text floated out from under the human head.
What has four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening?
Gemma stared blankly at the "brand new" door in front of her, not expecting that she would be turned away like this.
If someone else had treated her like this, she would have left in anger.
But the person sitting inside is Damon, which is a different story.
"What is this, a riddle—interesting. If this is the challenge he's given, let's try it!"
"Watch out for the Ravenclaws! Don't let them get close!"
"Even the Gryffindors can't do that. They'll leak the news!"
They quickly reached a consensus, but with prefects from three other houses around them, how could they possibly get what they wanted?
"Are you a little arrogant?"
The Gryffindor prefects stepped forward, followed by the Ravenclaw prefect. "Yes, we can't just pretend we didn't see it. Since it's a riddle, we should be the ones to solve it. With your limited brains, I'm afraid you won't be able to solve it even after the train arrives at the station."
Inside the carriage, Damon snapped his fingers, and all the sounds outside the door were blocked out.
"It's quiet now."
He smiled at everyone and continued reading.
Hermione and the others began to look at him.
