Jake saw Maria's miserable state. She doesn't realized that she was already crying on front of him. He knew exactly who was the reasoned behind that tears.

He felt his heart tightened by that. Jake letMaria cried for a while before he come and comfort her. He was irritated and angry towards his idiot best friend!

'damn you Tobias!'

Jake thought harshly.

"hey, stop that. You shouldn't be like that, your babies would feel it too."

He tried to comfort her, he walked towards the blue colored crib and put the sleeping baby boy.

"Tasha and Thaniel would be sad too. Do you want that?"

He watched as Maria wiped her tears and looked lovingly at the baby girl she's been carrying.

"I'm sorry bout that, was Thanielfell asleep again?"

She quickly changed the topic and smiled at him warmly. Her eyes shone every time she thinks about her babies.

"yeah, you knew him, always the sleepy head."

Jake laughed gently and watched the sleeping Thaniel.

"you should placed Tasha on her crib too. So, she can sleep too."

"this cute little angel was full of energy. Hahaha would you mind carrying her for a while? I'll just need to go to the bathroom."

Maria said happily and gave him the wriggling baby girl.

Jake stared intently to the baby he was holding. He was praying for an impossible thing right now! He prayed and wished that he can be the twin's father!

Real father!

He was very engrossed on what he was thinking when his phone rang. He quickly put Tasha on her pink colored crib and walked out the door when he saw Maria stepped out from the bathroom.

"hey man, why'd you call?"

Jake covered his disappointment by greeting him happily.

"I need your help."

"what help?"

"I need to make sure that Charlotte's baby was mine. I told her that we do a test but she refused and reacted miserable. I want you to help me do the test without her knowing."

Tobias speak pleadingly to him.

Jake grip the phone hard and controlled his emotions.

"why were you doubting Charlotte?"

"we both knew that she cheated on me many times. Please, you're the only person I can think that can helped me. Please bro?"

Tobias was begging to him.

Jake hesitated for a while but gave in afterwards.As the heir of the hospital, he had an access to all transactions the hospital had. So, he can't blame Tobias that he decided to seek for his help.

Jake bid goodbye to Maria and told her that he will be back tomorrow morning to visit them. Then he drove his car towards the direction of their hospital.
