Two weeks after the DNA test, courtesy of Jake. The result was finally in his hands. He was so nervous to open the paper, to the point that he's been holding it for two whole hours!

He was anxious to think that, what if the result was negative? Was he willing to gave way on Tobias again? Was he willing to forget his love towards Maria?!

Jake was devastated imagining that he will be away from his twins! Yes, his twins! He owned them as if they came from him! He really love them so much that his heart bled thinking of them being apart!

Jake took a deep breath before he opened it abruptly. He scan the paper and saw the horrible result!

Tobias was NOT the father of Charlotte's child!

He felt that the world fell on him! He stood stunned inside his office. Jake doesn't knew how to react in this kind of thing!

Does he need to be selfish to kept the truth from Tobias? Was he going to forgot their friendship? Or, was he ready to let Maria and the twins go?!

Jake looked at the result again, unbelievably. He was torn between his best friend and his love one's!

Before he called Tobias, he went first to his house where Maria and the twins been living. He needed to know what's Maria's feeling for Tobias after he did horrible things to her!

Jake knocked on the door and waited for Maria to open the door. When the door swung open, he saw Maria's beautiful face. His heart skipped a beat by that but ached when he thought about something.

"oh Jake? What are you waiting for? Come in!"

Maria speak to him happily and pulled him out of his mournful thoughts.

"hey, where's my babies?"

Jake asked her enthusiastically, setting aside his problem for a while.

"they're inside their cribs, Thaniel was sleeping again as usual and Tasha was wriggling her cute little legs and arms!"

Maria reported to him as if he was the husband coming home from work and she was his lovely wife welcoming him. She even giggled when she speak!

Jake's heart melt by that. He was so tempted to locked her up, so that Tobias wouldn't find her! But he needed to asked her some serious questions. He hesitated but pushed his nervousness to the side and took a lot of courage to open his mouth!

"can we talk?"

Maria seemed to observed his serious aura. So she became serious too.

"I'm sorry to asked about this but, who was the father of your twin? Was it Tobias?"
