"What are you laughing at?!" she shouted angrily.
Everyone quickly stood up straight and resumed their serious expressions.
It's as if to say that we've all been professionally trained so that we won't laugh no matter how funny something is.
The officer's cold gaze swept over their faces, he gave a heavy snort, turned and strode away: "Tow the plane back immediately. Call Kirkt Corporation and tell them to check the engines."
"Pfft."
I had only turned around and taken a few steps when someone behind me burst out laughing.
I just couldn't resist.
The officer's face turned ashen again, and he abruptly turned around, his gaze locking onto a soldier.
"What's so funny?"
"I'm sorry, sir," the soldier said sternly, his face hardening. "I was thinking of something happy."
“They’re so rude,” Kara complained as she flew. “I caught their plane and rescued their people, and they just kick me out like that. That officer, I suspect she’s from Gotham!”
Shen You laughed.
“Actually, it’s understandable,” Shen You said. “It’s because she’s afraid of us. And that other engine, like I said, comes from some kind of alien technology that seems to be from an advanced civilization.”
So she naturally felt nervous when we got close to that thing.
"Oh, I see." Kara scratched her head.
"Of course, it was pointless for her to do that. Because I already knew everything I needed to know. Long before she got out of the car, I had already thoroughly scanned the engine, and the model and parameters were already stored in the armor."
“We need to find out where it came from?” Kara asked.
"Of course. Whether it's the military or corporations, these people are just a bunch of troublemakers. You wouldn't want to know what kind of gadgets they can make from some kind of mysterious advanced technology. They'll never learn not to tinker with toys they don't understand."
However, in this respect alone, the Olympian defense force is no less capable than that of the DC side. Humanity's tech tree, more or less, tends to veer towards self-destruction; classic example of alien technology creating a massive mess that they can't clean up themselves, leaving others to clean up their mess.
And these unlucky old guys who are responsible for cleaning up the mess are called Ultraman in the studio, but the Justice League in DC.
However, Shen You didn't want to clean up the mess, so he decided to modify the strategy slightly.
He wanted to snatch the toys from these troublemakers before they could create a big dad.
At this very moment, on the highway leading to the seaside city.
The scorching sun relentlessly shone down, and sparse weeds and withered branches were scattered on the cracked earth, as if everything else had been evaporated by the high temperature.
Military transport vehicles bumped along the sun-baked road like ants crawling on a hot pan. Waves of heat hit them like steam from a steamer.
"It's so hot, God!"
The man in the passenger seat had taken off his shirt and turned the air vent to its maximum setting, blowing it directly at himself, but he was still drenched in sweat.
"Are you sure you're really using the air conditioning, or something like air circulation?" He asked, wiping his sweat as he looked at the driver in the driver's seat. "It's so hot."
"I'm absolutely certain, it's already at maximum speed," the driver said helplessly. "Just bear with it, we're about fifteen minutes away from the seaside air force base. We'll be there soon."
The man in the passenger seat reached out and touched the metal panel behind the driver's seat that separated them from the passenger compartment, but as soon as he touched it, he involuntarily withdrew his hand as if he had been electrocuted.
"My God, it's so hot!" the passenger said anxiously. "I think we should probably stop and check if what's behind us is safe."
"They said it was classified," the driver shrugged. "The highest level. If they just lifted the cloth and took a peek, we'd both be shot."
"Ha, that's hilarious."
The man in the passenger seat shrugged, glanced at the driver, but only saw a serious expression on the latter's face.
“Wait,” the man’s smile vanished, “you’re not serious, are you? But they can’t.”
"What can't we do? Execute us? Ha, now I'm sure you're new here." The driver laughed.
The passenger in the front seat immediately tensed up. He didn't say anything for a moment, and nervously fiddled with the air vent.
A few minutes later, he couldn't help but ask again, "So we just leave it like this, ignoring everything and asking nothing? Because the more I think about it, the more abnormal it seems. Top secret cargo, the increasingly hot situation, and I swear I thought I heard a sound coming from inside the cargo box when we stopped at the rest area earlier."
"Relax. Don't overthink it, don't ask too many questions. Anyway, the stuff will be delivered to base in a little while." The driver shrugged. "Then it will be the general's problem, not ours."
The passenger thought for a moment.
"makes sense."
So he ignored his ominous premonition, turned on the car music, closed his eyes, and sank into the seat, trying to drown out all his unease with the music.
The melodious and cheerful music quickly filled the carriage, and the two of them soon found themselves humming along.
Perhaps for this reason, neither of them noticed the commotion coming from the carriage behind them.
A red light shone in the darkness of the cargo container.
Like a pair of scarlet eyes.
This was accompanied by a hoarse, intermittent mechanical sound.
No one can escape.
"Zizzi"

Chapter 180 Tell the Truth
"So, this is all your homework for today?"
Young reporter Clark adjusted his glasses, looking at Kara with a strange expression as she rapidly typed on a computer designed using Kryptonian crystal technology.
Clark had just finished get off work at the Daily Planet a few minutes earlier. He decided to fly over to see his cousin and have coffee before his evening Superman episode started.
For some reason, ever since his last visit, he felt that the coffee at this shop called HISHE had a magical power; it was addictive after just one sip. After that, no other coffee seemed appealing, and he would have a cup every day after get off work if he had time.
As the young reporter sat in the basement drinking coffee and observing his cousin's daily life, he couldn't help but gasp in amazement. He'd only glanced at it briefly, but it seemed his cousin was researching knowledge from at least six different star systems—a feat even by Kryptonian standards.
"It's not really homework, it's designing a new battle suit," Kara explained. "Shen You said my battle suit is a Kryptonian civilian version, and I can design an upgraded version."
He gave me direction and listed the relevant literature and application technologies. "If all the expected functions are achieved, this uniform will be able to accelerate the absorption and storage of solar energy, block radiation from the red sun and kryptonite, and provide crystalline defense against magic."
Clark was stunned: "That amazing?"
“Yes, that’s right.” Kara grinned. “Shen You is amazing. I still have a lot of projects to complete. If you do them right, I’ll give you a set when the time comes.”
Clark smiled: "She's a little sister now."
“How can the Phantom Zone stuff count?” Kara pouted. “I don’t care, I’m the older sister anyway.”
“Okay, okay, sister,” Clark said with a smile.
"Karl is so good." Kara smiled with satisfaction. "I'll get you a set too. Remember to tell me your size. Diana is coming too."
Diana Prince wore a simple, fitted coat paired with high-waisted trousers, looking sharp and highlighting her long, eye-catching legs.
“I’ve rented a place nearby, looks like I’ll be staying in this area for a while.” Diana smiled, holding her usual cup of Ice & Fire. “Your coffee is really good.”
She had been living a nomadic life for years, moving from place to place every now and then. When she went to see Ares recently, she abandoned her previous identity and gave up her residence, so she simply moved to Gotham.
“Absolutely.” Kara said proudly.
“Where is he? I need to speak with him,” Diana said.
“Oh, in his own lab. We just came across a crashed fighter jet, and he's been working on the engine ever since he got back.” Kara shrugged. “It's a separate space; even I can't just go in. He said some projects are too complicated for me to interfere with.”
"Because you haven't gotten to that part yet."
When the sound rang out, Shen You had already appeared in the room without anyone noticing.
"If you try a little harder, I might consider having you lend me a hand sooner."
Kara pouted, "I've already tried my best!"
“Mr. Shen,” Diana greeted him.
“We’re already so familiar with each other, just call me Shen You,” Shen You said. “You probably already know that I’m currently conducting research on the Eye of Argonauts project.”
He remembered something and turned to say, "Pal, continue analyzing the engine power system we just collected. Then give me the project file for the Eye of Argonauts."
"No problem, sir."
Diana crossed her arms and smiled helplessly, "You're trying to activate the Eye of Argonauts with equipment? But that's not how it works."
We're talking about the power of Zeus, the supreme magic of Olympus. You can't."
Before he could finish speaking, Shen You, without a word, assembled the armor parts that emerged from the bracelet onto his right hand, forming a gauntlet. Driven by light energy, the armor was released from his palm, exploding into a string of dazzling azure lightning bolts in the room.
Diana swallowed the rest of her words, her face showing undisguised astonishment.
Although it was not very powerful or large in scale, as an Olympian demigod and the daughter of Zeus, she could clearly feel the blood in her veins stirring at that moment.
It was as if her body's instincts were telling her this undeniable truth.
"That's... the power of Zeus?" she asked in surprise.
"More or less," Shen You nodded.
"You took control of it yourself?"
"That's not quite right, it's just a way of converting light. But you can understand it that way, right?"
The female warrior could hardly hide her astonishment: "But...this is impossible!"
That's the power of Zeus, the king of the Olympian gods, symbolizing the authority to rule the heavens. How could you possibly learn it just by saying you'll study it?
Shen You simply smiled slightly.
"Just like I said, science."
It's hard to say what magic is like in other worldviews, but at least in Marvel and DC, there's never been an absolute boundary between magic and science. The ability to analyze any form of magic and energy using advanced technology is common knowledge in both worlds; it's just a matter of finding the right way to do it.
Of course, Shen You only used the Eye of Argo to analyze some of the attributes of divine power, which allowed him to roughly simulate it but had little practical value. His research goals in this area were limited to understanding and studying how to deal with it.
But that was enough to refresh the heroine's understanding of so-called "science" once again.
Kara, standing behind, curiously examined her rope: "This rope looks amazing."
Diana smiled and removed her noose: "You can try it if you're interested."
"Really?" Kara curiously grabbed the rope. "Huh, it actually feels like it's moving, like it's alive. Ah, it's so hot, and I have this strange feeling of my heart racing. It's like... it's like the thrill I get when I secretly play games on Shen You's supercomputer while he's not around."
At this point, she realized something was wrong, exclaimed "Oh dear!", and quickly covered her mouth.
