Crimson's Revenge

Knowing what he meant and being grateful for him not asking what happen at the gathering Reen smiled and talk with Hue a few more minutes then hanged up.

After a few minutes, Mirly arrived. Seeing her, Reen waved at her with a beaming smile on her face in obvious delight, Mirly's who saw this scrunched up her face in anguish and guilt.

She dashed and hugged Reen who was sitting at one of the benches situated between the museum and mall pathway. There were a few people passing and seeing this, they merely glance at them and went on their way.

Mirly dropped to her knees and hugged Reen's waist. Reen who was sitting down stiffened in reaction but soon regained her bearings; she half hugged, patted and comforted the now crying Mirly.

"I... I'm so sorry… I failed you… I… they… sorry…" She wailed and hugged Reen even tighter. Reen who was patiently comforting her friend replied,

"It's alright, it was not your fault. I never blamed you for it." Reen had found out the fake mission and Mirly's reason for leaving from Hue and Wisteria a few days after regaining her memory.

She reacted the same way she reacted towards Wisteria and Hue's guilt. She never blamed them for what happened in the past nor for Mirly running away. She was even angry at the man who had hurt and resolved Mirly's decision to really leave in the end.

"If I ever found out who you are, just you wait I will not let you off easily." Reen mentally threatened.

Feeling the agitated emotions of Reen, the crying Mirly momentary stop as she stared at Reen in anguished thinking that she was displeased and hated her.

Seeing her reaction, Reen despite Mirly being a year older than her smiled warmly at her like a mother towards her child. She stood up and helped Mirly stand up as well.

Mirly was actually a head taller than her so she could not pat her head. Instead she helped brush away the build dust on her knees as she hugged her after.

Highly ashamed by her disgraceful action and warmed by the forgiveness and gesture of Reen she hugged her in return swearing to protect this young yet strong woman in her arms.

This was Mirly's answer after a year of thinking; she will lay her life and safe guard Reen's safety no matter what may happen now or In the future.

After a few minutes of silence, they then laughed at their silliness and talked about old times. Mirly shyly confessed the whole story as she only told Reen a small part of the reason why she left the country. She also told her who she really was while Reen shared the things that happened to her after she had retrieved her memories.

"Since your here and it's still a bit early, why don't you meet my friends then?" Reen inquired

"Sure! I'd love too." She smilingly said.

It was not sure if Mirly got her over protectiveness from growing up with Hue and Wisteria or if it was inborn. Like the couple and Reen she also had a huge doting and protectiveness tendency on her bones.
