Becoming a god by raising witches

"I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me."
“Princess Frida’s necklace is a strange object, numbered C261, called Intimate Honesty. Anyone whom Princess Frida deems intimate will subconsciously choose to be honest with her. This can only prove that in Her Highness’s heart, you are already considered an intimate investigator.”
Dimo reminded him.
Locke then noticed that Frida had an inconspicuous silver necklace around her neck. The pendant of the necklace was a leaf vein, and it looked no different from an ordinary Life Church prayer necklace.
He suddenly felt terrified to be around Frida. Did that mean Natal would never lie to Frida? Natal was her closest maid.
If it were me, the most I would do is reduce the number of times I lie, right?
By this time, Frida, Natal, Angela, and Robson had discovered that they had been tricked by Sieg.
"Sig, what are you looking at? Isn't that a march over there? Do you know the worker leading the procession?"
"No, what I find strange is that there isn't a single woman in this group! Doesn't that seem odd? Does the Alchemist Guild discriminate against women?"
Sieg said indignantly.
Angela wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Alchemy factories naturally hire more men than women, and many don't even hire women at all. Isn't it normal that there aren't any women in the parade?"
"Yes, Senior Sig."
Robson nodded emphatically.
Frida raised an eyebrow. "If I find out you're playing me again, I'll make you live in a doghouse for a month, just like Suad II."
"I am so sorry, Your Highness. Please forgive me for being a person of limited knowledge. I am just making a fuss because I have never seen the world."
Sieg said with a smile.
Frida narrowed her beautiful eyes and raised her head proudly.
"Are you implying something about me? It is true that this is the first time I have seen a workers' demonstration, but as the kingdom's only noble princess, if I have never seen the world, then the people in the kingdom who have seen the world have probably not been born yet."
"Of course, you are the most worldly person, and I really am talking about myself."
Sieg said, looking down.
Frida snorted coldly twice. "It had better be that way. You're an investigator who's good for nothing but your looks. You should thank your parents for giving you such a good appearance, otherwise I would be punishing you right now."
“Thank you for the compliment.”
Sieg breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that the necklace around his neck had been a great help.
Frida's personal maid, Natal, also thought Sieg was very handsome, a rare beauty in the entire kingdom.
Only Angela, Robson, Dimmel, and Locke knew that Sieg's charm was off the charts because of the red crystal necklace around his neck; in reality, he was just an average handsome man.
The procession and the carriages were heading in opposite directions, so they were bound to meet on this narrow road.
This carriage is in the frugal style of the West End. There are no decorations or pendants on the carriage. The body is brown wood, and only simple mahogany paint is applied to the roof and bottom. Under normal circumstances, it will not arouse class antagonism or resentment towards the rich.
The problem lay with the two Yorkshire chestnut horses. Frida convinced the coachman that the black-tailed horses were too slow and switched to chestnut horses.
Although most people, especially commoners who rarely ride in carriages, cannot distinguish between the red date horse and the black-tailed horse, they were still spotted by some unemployed workers from the sun-drenched gold refinery.
"This is a red date horse! Only the rich can afford it!"
"If we smash this carriage, we won't even have food to eat, but these rich people can still enjoy riding in carriages!"
"That's right, smash this car! Let the government see our determination."
A group of extremists rushed forward and began smashing the carriage.
The coachman frantically tried to turn around, but the road was too narrow and there were too many people blocking the way.
The locals on Mar Street enjoy watching this spectacle, and some homeless people even prepare to take the opportunity to rob valuables from the car.
Seeing that a conflict was about to erupt, Dimo, who was sitting on the outermost edge of the carriage, stepped out, took out his sheriff's badge, and shouted sternly,
"What are you trying to do? Attack government officials? You'd better have the guts to smash things! You'll not only lose your jobs, you'll lose your lives!"
The workers who were about to smash the carriage were stunned. People in the West District had a natural fear of sheriffs, especially when they saw the high-ranking sheriff uniform that Dimo was wearing and the gun in his hand.
This is no joke; we might have to eat peanuts.
They all retreated and returned to the group.
An impending conflict was averted. Dimo returned to the carriage, his serious expression turning into his usual lazy one. He picked up the bottle, took a sip, and let out a burp.
Angela pushed him away in disgust. If the carriage hadn't been so cramped, she would have wanted to change seats.
Frida was terrified. She looked at the workers as if they had turned into hideous demons, each wanting to reach out and tear her apart.
She never imagined that the workers at those gold refineries would turn out like this.
What Frida feared most was her maid Natal. If something happened to the princess, she didn't know how she could apologize, and she feared that death would be the only option.
"That was close, I almost thought they were going to smash the car."
Frida patted her heaving chest.
"Yes, luckily we brought Locke and the others with us. If we hadn't had government officials with us, who knows what those mobs would have done."
Natal said,
"Hey, you guys who're drinking, why didn't you tell them to move aside? They're blocking our way."
Natal looked at Dimo and said.
Dimmel smiled and replied, “Beautiful lady, I can tell them not to smash the cars, but I don’t have the authority to tell them to cancel the march.”
"why?"
Frida asked, puzzled, "They seem very afraid of you."
“They are indeed afraid of me and won’t hurt us on their own initiative, but if we take away their livelihood, they will fight us to the death.”
Dimo shrugged. "So we'd better not provoke them and let them move aside on their own, or we can move aside and let their team pass."
Locke wholeheartedly agreed with Dimo's assessment. "Princess Frida, you just saw their ferocious faces. If we don't want to be attacked, let's wait and see what happens."
"I am a princess, how dare they!"
Frida said guiltily.
In the end, she and her maid waited quietly in the carriage for the procession to pass by.
Fifteen minutes later, the carriage began to move forward again.
“Your Highness, if we bring our guards, we can drive them all away. There’s nothing to be afraid of.”
Natal said with a sigh.
“Bringing a guard along would only make me more conspicuous. Sister Wang would definitely arrest me and take me back. I’m not stupid.”
Frida pursed her lips and looked at Locke.
"Locke, how much longer?"
"We'll be there in a quarter of an hour. You can close your eyes and rest for now."
Locke was still reading.
Frida leaned closer curiously. "Huh? It's all in dragon language."
"You understand Dragon Language?"
Locke asked curiously.
Frida proudly raised her chin. "Of course. Dragon language is a language that the royal family must learn. To be precise, almost every nobleman has to learn it. They start learning it after they are orphaned, which is when they are six years old. My Dragon language is fluent."
“I didn’t start studying until I entered the magistrate’s court, which was when I was 17. Your educational resources far surpass mine.”
Locke exclaimed.
This was probably influenced by C261, which led Locke to speak his mind.
"Of course, you commoners should be grateful to the kingdom and the government for being able to receive an education. Why would you ask for more?"
Frida is like a proud peacock, making one want to break her tail feathers.
Locke didn't argue with her and said with a smile, "Then do you know what I'm looking at?"
"Of course, the basics of the occult. I didn't expect a sheriff like you to be into this kind of stuff. You wouldn't happen to be a member of the Mysterious Events Club, would you?"
Frida asked curiously, clearly not believing in such things, and unaware that the necklace around her neck had the power to make people honest.
“Oh no, you figured it out. I am indeed a member of the Mystery Club.”
Locke could only say this in order to conceal his true identity.
He discovered that he could still lie to Frida if he consciously controlled it.
"I heard that the people in that club are either crazy or mentally unstable. Which one are you?"
"If I were crazy or mentally ill, the sheriff's court wouldn't have recruited me."
Locke replied.
Frida sighed listlessly, "How boring. I thought you were an interesting person."
“Your Highness, you have such a big heart. After just going through something like this, you still have the mood to joke with Locke.”
"That's what my personal maid, Natal, said."
"I'll go back and tell Sister Wang about this, and ask her to find a way to deal with them. They're a bunch of bastards. If they dare to attack our carriage, they'll dare to attack other people's carriages. If we let this go unchecked, it'll cause a huge mess sooner or later."
