Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 110 - Ch. 110 Chleo Is Tremble In Fear

Chleo had just focused her eyes on the switch to turn on the light in the room. Before she could find it, she heard an unexpected loud sound.

BAM! Click!

Instantly the room went pitch black, and Chleo couldn't see anything. There was a thumping in her heart that made her tremble in fear for a moment.

Did the door to the room close accidentally? Then what was the 'click' sound she heard about?

Chleo tried to walk again while holding onto the wall towards the door. She turned the doorknob, and just as she feared, the door was locked.

Did someone outside had purposely locked the door? Why?

Chleo reached into her smartphone to turn on the flashlight. Then she tried to contact Max, who was waiting for her at the cafe.

But suddenly, the monitor screen moved on its own without her doing anything. The next second, her phone went off in an instant, along with the flashlight.

Chleo tried to restart in vain, and the darkness made her more nervous. Had no other choice, Chleo tried to call for help.

"Hello! Is anybody there? I'm locked inside." Chleo called out while pounding loudly on the door, hoping someone would hear her.

She hoped that at least one of her bodyguards would follow her here and…

Wait. Chleo dashed here as fast as she could... Could her bodyguard keep up with her?

She remembered that when she was a teenager, Chleod would often deceive her bodyguards and outrun them so no one could follow her.

Ugh! What should she do now?

"Hello, help me. Is there anyone out there?"

Chleo was still trying to keep calling while banging on the door but to no avail.

Chleo's voice started to get hoarse from screaming, and her hands also started to hurt from pounding on the door repeatedly.

Chleo decided to give up and turned her back to the door. The only she could do now was waiting. Max would look for her if she didn't show up.

But… how did that man find her? The campus building was huge, and… Oh, Max could find her. Chleo had already told the man that she would get the brush paint in the storage basement. The man was intelligent. He would directly ask the information counter regarding this place.

Chleo could only wait for this moment. There's nothing to be afraid of, even though she was currently in a pitch-dark room. She had no reason to be scared. Chleo tried to calm herself as soon as she felt a swish of fear start to creep through her body.

Chleo had never been afraid of the dark before. She had never experienced an incident that traumatized her to the darkness. She shouldn't be scared... but why is she feeling restless?

'No, help me. Sob… papa, mom… sob,"

Chleo's breathing became increasingly erratic as an unfamiliar image flashed through her mind. Chleo held her head which for some reason started to hurt.

An unknown person appeared in her mind. That person had a terrible glint in his eyes, not to mention the crooked smile that seemed to be about to devour her alive, making her whole body shudder in horror.

What was even more surprising was that Chleo could see the person's face.

That person is… Alexis!!

Without realizing it, Chleo's legs went limp, and she fell to the ground with her back still against the door.

No. The person he saw right now was very old and wrinkled. Plus, that frightening older man's eyes were not as blue as Alexis's.

Who is this person? Why did she feel so scared?

"Little one, today I will use you as bait. Hahahaha."

The evil older man's hand moved towards her as if to grab hold of her. In Chleo's eyes, the hand was so thin as a skull that walking towards her made her cry in terror.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Click!

Suddenly, a ray of external light shot inwards, making whatever sight Chleo saw just now disappear without a trace.

"Hey, are you alright? What are you doing here?"

Chleo turned to look at the person who had just opened the door of this eerie dark room. She wanted to say thank you, but she couldn't find her voice. She was too scared, and her body was shaking as if she had just had the worst nightmare in her whole life.

"Why are you crying?"

Chleo choked when she felt a warm hand wipe her tears.

"You don't have to cry anymore. Everything will be fine."

Chleo blinked a few times. The person who saved her was a young girl with her hair in cute buns on both sides.

Who is this girl? Surprisingly, she wasn't as scared anymore as if this young girl had absorbed all the fear she had just felt.

"Who are you?"

The young girl just smiled mysteriously then gave the brush that Chleo was looking for.

"Is this what you're looking for? Now go and meet your professor. He's in his office."

Chleo couldn't argue and stood up straight and walked out of the storage room. As soon as Chleo turned her back on the young girl, the girl's eyes changed color. One was red while the other was blue.

The mysterious girl glanced at the storage room with a frown. Why did she feel… there was the presence of one of her comrades in this place?

She walked into the room, and after confirming that no one was there, the girl's physical body disappeared without leaving a trace.

It was then that Chleo just remembered something. She turned around to say thank you, but she found no one there. Chleo even noticed that the storage room had also been locked.

Chleo looked at the two objects in her hands with a frown. One was the brush tool she was looking for, and the other was the key to the room's door.

How could these two things be in her hands? And again, how did the young girl know what kind of brush she was looking for? Who is that girl?

'Now go and see your professor. He's in his office.'

Is the professor on campus? Didn't he tell her to come to his studio? Why did he ask her to go to his studio if that older man on the campus?

Chleo decided to go to his professor's office and ask about the text that said she had to fix her painting.

"I didn't tell you about fixing. I've already evaluated your painting and given it to the Dean. You don't need to fix anything else."

Chleo was even more confused by this. In the end, she politely excused herself and walked out while digesting what had happened.

If the professor didn't ask her to take the brush, who texted her on behalf of the professor?

Convinced that she has nothing to do with the campus, Chleo decided to leave and headed to the cafe where Max was waiting for her. Max noticed his lover's gloomy face, and he immediately stood up and walked over to her.

"What is it? Did something happen?"

"..." how did this man know her mood at one glance? It seemed Max didn't lie when he said Chleo was like an open book in front of him.

Instead of answering his question, Chleo wrapped her arms around Max's waist and snuggled her head deeper.

"I was terrified, but as soon as I hugged you, my fear disappeared."

"..." Here it is—her remarkable sweet distraction.

Well, he would never refuse her embrace, though, and he put his arm enveloping her petite figure.
