As soon as Max arrived at Chu Jung's hideout and the others, Max immediately sent them all to Chleo's place to ensure Chleo's safety. He still didn't feel at ease just leaving Luna with Chleo. But if two other rulers of nature were protecting his wife, he could rest easy.

Not to mention, Max would have to muster up almost all his strength if he wanted to defeat this giant monster. If Chu Jung and Harmonie, who possessed the frequency of thermal energy, were near him while he was using his power, the two rulers would either be weakened or injured.

That's why Max decided to move them all to where Chleo and the others were.

He didn't feel tired even though he had to teleport four creatures

at the same time. His energy was well stored, and he had more than enough energy to teleport friends and defeat this monster.

Ever since Max came to this world of Vectis, Max barely used his

powers, so his strength energy was still intact compared to his two fellow rulers.

That was why Max had no hesitation in using his teleport ability

to move the positions of the two rulers as well as Alpha and Bai Yu to where his wife was.

Now he just needed to defeat this octopus-like monster and bury it back underground. But he decided to wait and observe quietly when he saw a lot of Vectis running and screaming while avoiding this monster.

Wasn't this an excellent opportunity to exterminate these Vectis who

were about to harm his wife?

He didn't bother using his powers to avenge his wife's death and

let the starving monster devour them all.

Max saw that some had managed to escape, but he wasn't going to

let them. Max snapped his finger once at the fleeing Vectis, and the next second, the almost-successfully escape Vectis beamed right in front of the monster's eyes.

Every Vectis that managed to get away screamed in horror as they

found themselves right in front of the octopus-like monster's eyes. Its quick and agile tentacles promptly grabbed them and took them into its mouth before munching them like it was eating a light snack.

Max smiled lopsidedly when he saw the previously countless number of Vectis had now drastically reduced.

For some reason, he wanted to bring all the Vectis in this world to this place. He would like to see this creature have a big feast on these ugly creatures trying to harm his wife.

But Max decided against it. He knew not all Vectis in this world

on his wife's head and not all inside the coup. Not to mention, Yuna's Vectis, which was the weakest amongst others, was willing to risk his life to save Chleo and Ashley.

Just for this reason, Max withdrew his intention to destroy this world.

After all, Chleo was still alive and well.

Without realizing it, some Vectis noticed what Max was doing and

wished to repay him by luring the monster's attention towards Max.

They draw the monster's attention by throwing a giant stone at the monster's skull-like head. The origin of the throw came from Max's location as if it was Max who threw the boulder, making the monster growl furiously.

In accordance with the wishes of the Vectis, now the monster's

attention was diverted and groveled at rapid speed towards Max. The beast shot one of its tentacles at Max to grab Max's body so it could eat him.

But when Max let out a chill and hit the skin from the tentacle,

the monster instantly pulled the tentacle back while screaming in pain.

Realizing that the creature couldn't get close to Max, it no longer made an advance toward the Blue King and refocused on chasing the Vectis, who had not managed to escape. 

Not long after, it sensed heat energy some distance away

from its location.

The monster pulled out its remaining body so that its entire body

was on the ground, allowing Chleo and the others to see the monster's head, and Max could see the ten tentacles to their ends.

"What's that?" Chleo and Ashley asked at the same time.

They only saw the monster's head because it was covered with towering dunes.

"It's the beast we fought a while ago," came the straightforward answer from the Gale Master without lowering her guard.

Just a moment ago, they had not seen the head of the octopus

monster from this distance. But now, suddenly, the monster's head was visible. Does that mean that the beast has completely come out from the bottom of the earth?

"A beast?"

Before she could answer, the head turned towards them without announcement, making Chleo and Ashley glued to their place.

"Is… just my feelings or… that beast is looking at us?" Ashley

couldn't help but feel scared. She didn't know what the monster looked like in its entirety, but just by the size of its head, which seemed so big even from a distance, she was sure it was terrifying.

In reality, the monster octopus was indeed looking at something. The octopus in the human world was an aquatic animal and a water lover. But this one loved heat energy and didn't like water.

Even so, this monster felt no pain when overwhelmed by Vectis using water. However, once it was hit by an attack of abnormal ice or cold, this monster would become weak.

If it came into direct contact with ice, its body would ache like

when human skin came into contact with lava.

And this time, the octopus monster desperately wanted to consume

someone who was none other than Chu Jung, the possessor of the body with the hottest and strongest energy among these Vectis.

It was no wonder the octopus-like monster was no longer interested in chasing the Vectis and was now pacing using its tentacles towards Chu Jung's location.

Max immediately realized the octopus monster's destination and

teleported between the beast and his wife's position. He wouldn't

let this monster get close to Chleo and the others and let the Vectis just run away.

As soon as he stood face to face with the beast that was

still crawling towards him, Max immediately let out all the chill running through his body without waiting any more time.

If Chu Jung had a fire monster inside of him, Max had the void emotions he had suppressed for so long.

As soon as he released the void emotion, the surrounding wind

turned cold, followed by a blizzard that suddenly appeared from all directions.

In a matter of seconds, the dry ground that had looked soft now

hardened into a solid covered with ice. The ice flowed until it froze the path around it. Even Vectis, who was struck by the blue king's cold wave, froze into an ice sculpture.

Max didn't care if all the Vectis in this world would freeze to

death due to his power. All he cared about right now was to stop the movement of the monster octopus that was trying to get close to the safe position of his wife and others.

Max's current appearance was different from before. His platinum

hair seemed to shimmer like moonlight shining on the surface of the water. His ocean-like sapphire eyes shone even more like blue lasers slicing through their targets.

His pale white skin looked even paler than before, and it looked like

snowflakes on his eyebrows.

An ear-splitting roar of pain rang out from the direction of the

octopus monster. Its screaming voice reached Ashley and Chleo's ears, even making them both have to cover their ears because of how loud the monster's scream was.

Despite covering their ears, the girls groaned in discomfort and even looked in pain.

Chu Jung and Harmonie looked at each other in confusion to see

Ashley and Chleo looked in pain at the high-pitched voice of the octopus-like monster.

How could the girls not be in pain? It was like when they were in front of a loudspeaker, and suddenly the mic fell to the floor with a loud sound. It was like a needle stabbing their eardrums.

Miraculously, the rulers of nature, as well as their guardian

beasts, felt nothing at hearing that terrifying scream. It was as if they listened to the baby's cry, who was angry at his request not being followed.

The baby's screams may be uncomfortable for them, but it doesn't

hurt their ears.

Simultaneously Chu Jung and Harmonie helped Ashley and Chleo cover their ears. The two rulers stood facing the two girls face to face while their hands were placed on top of theirs.

Ashley faced Chu Jung while Chleo faced Moni. Thanks to the help

of the two, the ear-splitting roar of the octopus monster was less painful to their ears.

When Ashley opened her eyes to look at the person who had helped

her ease the pain in her ear, her heart felt like it was going to stop at that instant.

Too close! Chu Jung's face was too close to hers!
