Ashley wondered how long Chu Jung would hold her head, but she let it go knowing that thanks to the young man's hands now covering her ears, the screams of the monster octopus were barely audible.

Plus, the warmth of the young man's two hands spread until it reached the recesses of her heart, making her unable to shift her eyes.

Ashley was trying her best to avoid the young man, and she could also feel Chu Jung keeping a little distance from her. However, in the end, her eyes constantly searched for this young man's figure as if Chu Jung was a magnet that attracted her.

The Flame King's charm was irresistible after all. Noted Ashley.

Time had passed for several minutes, but the excruciating screams from the octopus-like monster still didn't stop. In fact, its ear-piercing screaming voice grew louder to the point it was heard by the Vectis, who lived some distance away.

Without waiting for orders from the highest ministers, all Vectis went straight to their respective caves and closed their cave doors with large boulders. They did feel confused by the awakening of the inhabitants of the underground realm who should have slept for about two centuries.

But they loved their lives more rather than seek the truth and decided to hide in their respective homes.

There's no need for expert speculation to know right away these Vectis won't be leaving their homes until the octopus-like monster is back in hibernation down there.

They didn't care if the food supply in their house was running low, and they would rather die of starvation than die to be eaten by the rulers of the underworld.

Octopus-like monsters would feel sleepy after eating at least a hundred to two hundred one-horned Vectis. He would feel full quickly if the Vectis he ate had great imana.

The monster was quite satisfied because nearly a hundred two-horned Vectis appeared nearby, and it could eat them to its heart's content. It felt like it was eating all you can eat at a restaurant, if only it had ever lived the human world.

And when it felt the intense fire imana energy from a distance, the monster was no longer interested in the two-horned Vectis. It just needed to eat the owner of this fire imana owned, and then it would go back into hibernation.

Unfortunately, something painful and what it feared the most appeared and attacked the monster. Some of its tentacles started to icy freeze from the tip and continued to spread towards its humongous bones.

The monster growled in pain as if it was crying to find its mother.

Maximillian had to mobilize all his strength into freezing the gigantic monster in front of him. He didn't expect freezing the monster's body to be so draining.

Miraculously, the monster's four eyes oozed a clear liquid that made Maximillian stunned in astonishment.

Is it crying??

Not long after, a magic-circle-like appeared with a ring and triangle motif. The ring was purplish and appeared above the sky, and it reminded him when the Time Master reverted the time to twenty years per his request.

Did the Time Master do it?

Fye appeared from above and stopped time in this world of Vectis to clarify his assumption. All the creatures in this world, including the Vectis, the octopus-like monster, along with Ashley, Chleo, and their guardian beasts, stopped in their track.

Only the other three rulers of nature were still able to move and observe what was happening.

"Ash? Why is she suddenly quiet?" Chu Jung felt worried when he saw the beautiful older girl suddenly not moving like a statue, and he even noticed the sign that the human in front of him wasn't breathing.

Surprisingly, his guardian beast became a statue-like state, causing him nothing but further confusion and worry.

Chu Jung waved his hands in front of Ashley's eyes, hoping the beautiful older girl would react by scolding him like usual. But Ashley didn't budge from her spot and remained frozen.

"What happened to her?"

"Don't worry. Blame on the Time Master."

"What does it mean?" Chu Jung tilted his head to Harmonie to demand different answers.

"Look over there."

Chu Jung spun around to see what Harmonie was showing and was surprised to see a purple circle of the violet king above the sky.

"The violet king is here? How could that be?"

"How should I know? We could only wait and see from up here."

Back to Max's location, Fye descendent slowly approached Max with a slight grin.

"I can feel your desperate to destroy this world, but don't do it. I'll put this monster back to sleep, so stop torturing him."

"Him? Did I hear wrong? Do you feel sorry for this creature?"

"If you only knew his real age, you would feel sorry for him too."

Age? "How old is it?"

"If calculated based on human age, he is like two."

WHAT?! A giant of this size was still two years old, then how humongous would this monster be when it was in its adult state?

"But, if you calculate how long he has lived in this world, he has already lived in this place for two thousand years. Aslan said, when he reaches the age of five, I mean five thousand years in this world, this monster will be transported to the underworld, which is his birth origin."

"Then what is it doing here?"

"Who knows? Perhaps to control Vectis in this world. He ate this world's habitant every one or two centuries, after all."

Max snorted sarcastically at that. If he didn't understand why the Vectis wished to go against Aslan, he did now.

"Just do what you want."

"Okay. You can go back to the others first. I'll catch up later."

Maximillian complied and teleported back to his wife's location while Fye concentrated on reversing time around before this monster woke up. Even though she was reluctant to save these Vectis, she still melted the ice that covered the Vectis' entire bodies.

The orders were straight and clear. Fye wasn't allowed to let Max kill these Vectis with his energy.

Gradually, the octopus-like monster walked backward until its tentacles went back into the abyss created from the ground. Then the monster's body dived until its head was no longer visible.

Fye reunited the split ground so that the monster wouldn't wake up again.

Only then did she let the time work again and let the Vectis escape without knowing that the monster had returned to hibernation.

After that, Fye sneaked out unnoticed to catch up with Maximillian and the others.

By the time they arrived at their hiding place, Fye had asked the container from Yuna's Vectis and invited Maximillian to speak one-on-one to convey Aslan's message to the blue king.

"Your wife's soul is in this container. Her soul was already dying and would soon fade with time. Aslan asked you to choose."

"What does it mean?"

"Do you want to be with the red-soul Chleo or the current one?"

"..."

"If you choose the current Chleo, we have to destroy Chleo's red soul, including the one that was sneakily invading the poor girl. Don't worry. She will be fine even if we remove the red soul. After all, the red-haired Chleo is dead, so I guess it's fine if we destroy the soul."

Fye tried to tell Maximillian that there was a chance that Chleo's feelings would return to how they used to be. The sentiments of a twenty-six-year-old Chleo versus a twenty-one-year-old Chleo.

Logically, Chleo would return to love Alexis, who once occupied her heart, and remembered the things that made Chleo hate Maximillian.

But if they got rid of Chleo's red soul, then maybe Chleo's feelings wouldn't be too shaken when she got her memories back.

"I'd still choose both," came the unyielding confirmation from the Blue King.

His feelings for Chleo weren't that shallow. He would never be able to choose one of them because loving someone is to love the whole, both the good and bad.

And Maximillian loved the red-haired Chleo as much as he loved the current Chleo.

That was why he couldn't choose and decided to keep the two of them and save the dying one.
