Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star
Chapter 267 - Ch. 267 Max Will Leave Her?
Seeing the shocked and confused look on Chleo's expression, Katie pulled her hand back to speak to the teenager's mother.
"Cathy, I'll call you later." Katie turned to her niece as soon as she disconnected the call. "Chleo, are you alright?"
"Impossible. He couldn't have left me."
"Chleo, do you remember when you were kidnapped in Germany a dozen years ago? Do you remember who helped you then?"
How could Chleo forget it? The one who saved her was her ice prince.
Over the years, the man had grown camellia flowers on her every birthday. All these years, Chleo had been waiting for their reunion.
But why was she looking forward to their meeting? Because she was captivated by the ice prince who saved her.
But, why did the Ice Prince save her when he hadn't met her yet?
Even long before the kidnapping incident, that man always appeared wherever Chleo was. He always said he happened to be in the same place as her. But when she thinks about it, is it really a coincidence?
What if the man purposely looked for her and found her?
Max kept looking for and reaching her to try to enter her heart all this time!
No matter how often Chleo acted coldly or spoke harsh words, he never gave up trying to please her.
Chleo raised her head and looked her aunt straight in the eye as she answered her question, "I remember it. I never forget it."
Katie smiled gently like a mother smiling at her child. "Then the ball is your court whether you want to spend the rest of your life with him or not. He has held out his hand to you, but you refused. If I were you, I would reach him out this time."
Chleo suddenly stood up to Katie's surprise. Before she could ask, Chleo surprised her even more by running into the house.
"Uncle Kinsey!"
Kinsey had just wolfed down his sandwich when he heard a shrill voice from his niece, stopping chewing for a moment.
"Lend me a car as well as a driver who is not afraid of dead."
"…" Does this kid want to suicide?
"I have to get to the airport as soon as possible."
Chleo remembered her mother telling her the plane Max was going to be on would leave in an hour, while the journey from this place to the airport would take almost an hour under normal circumstances.
Chleo couldn't drive a car because her father doted on her too much by giving her a private driver. Even in her past life, Chleo couldn't drive because she was too lazy to learn to drive.
She could only ask for help from her uncle, who must have dozens of drivers who can drive a car as fast as possible.
She didn't care if the driver had to break the traffic light. All she knew was she had to be at the airport in half an hour.
"Alright." Kinsey didn't finish his breakfast and went to get his coat and car keys.
"Uncle? I asked the driver."
"All the drivers I employ will not comply with your request. They have been trained to drive comfortably and safely. If speed is what you want, I'm the best choice."
Chleo was speechless and was starting to feel guilty for interrupting her uncle's family breakfast.
"Shall we go now?"
"En." but when her uncle offered himself so confidently, Chleo decided to take it.
Kinsey hugged his wife for a quick kiss on the cheek and led Chleo to his garage.
Without waiting for time, Chleo immediately got into the passenger seat as soon as Kinsey got into the driver's seat. The engine started, and they were greeted by a man's voice that sounded friendly and polite.
The voice was the program that regulates the car's working system they ride. This car was sophisticated and had an auto-drive program if the driver felt tired or sleepy.
But because they needed super high speed this time, Kinsey did not activate the auto-drive and operate it manually.
Chleo's body seemed to jolt backward every time her uncle stepped on the gas to pick up speed. Her head was a little dizzy when the car made a zigzag motion to overtake the cars in front of them, but Chleo didn't complain.
She kept looking at the road, hoping to see the airport building soon.
They arrived at the airport on time in less than half an hour.
Chleo felt like her stomach was spinning, and she wanted to vomit right there and then. Luckily, she hadn't eaten anything since she woke up, so she had nothing to expel from her tummy.
"Thank you, Uncle Kinsey."
Without waiting for a response from her uncle, Chleo immediately got out of the car door and sprinted as fast as she could to the ticket booth to buy a boarding pass that would allow her to enter any gate.
After buying what she wanted, Chleo directly looked for a departure gate for England.
She didn't see Max's figure at the first or second gate, but she saw a towering young man with striking hair color as she headed towards the third gate.
Without thinking, Chleo ran to the man and grabbed his hand to stop him from entering the gate to board the plane that was about to depart.
"Max."
A pair of blue eyes went wide to see Chleo was at the airport.
"Chleo? What are you doing here?"
"Max, listen to me. I know I was wrong. I know I am foolish and selfish, but please don't go. You promised you wouldn't leave me, and you said you wished I had given you a chance. I'm giving you a chance, and I want you to be with me, no… I want to be with you. Whether in England or anywhere else, I want to live with you. I love you, Max. So please, don't go."
"…"
"Don't leave me." Chleo gripped Max's hands tightly while her heart was restless because the man had been silent all this time while looking at her with a complicated look.
'Ehem... ahem...'
Max slowly turned his head to the side, followed by Chleo, who also turned to look at the person who had cleared his throat on purpose to interrupt her moment with Max.
"Sir Navarro, she is lovely. Do you really want to leave her?"
Max smiled faintly at his remark. "You must be joking, sir. I don't know why she thought I was leaving here, but you know very well I'm not going back to England anytime soon. I think there's been a misunderstanding here."
Ha?? Misunderstanding?

Moments earlier, when Chleo got out of his uncle's car, Kinsey called Diego.
"Diego, don't blame me that your sister will hate you after this. How dare you trick your sister?"
"Oh, uncle. My sister will never hate me. She loves me too much. There's no proof that I planned all of this anyway."
Kinsey rolled his eyes lazily at his nephew's confident tone, then steered his car back to his home.
