Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 83 - Ch. 83 Testing Her

"I want to confess," said Ashley in a surprisingly friendly voice.

Isn't it the first time Ashley had been friendly to her? Chleo

became suspicious of what plans inside the other girl's head.

"What do you mean?"

"I admit that I was the one who edited the video so that

you were the culprit."

Not only was Chleo surprised, even all of Ashley's gang members

was shocked by her confession.

"Ashley, what are you doing?"

"Why do you say you edited the video?"

"Ash, you should think again. How about..."

Ashley raised a hand to silence her friends. She didn't want to be

denied nor interrupted. Right now, she wanted to find out who this Chleo West was?

Where did this girl have such great support from such a prominent

person? If this girl's background was just an ordinary disguise, then

Ashley wanted to have a close relationship with Chleo.

"You mean to slander me? And you all know it?" Chleo looked

one by one at Ashley's gang with a sinister look.

She had never experienced hostility or conflict between her friends. That's because her school friends already know who she is, who her parents are, and who her bodyguards are. Moreover, Vincent always ensured the protection, supervision, and welfare of his two

children.

That's why this was the first time Chleo had to come face to face

with a problem like this. Even though she had studied at this university for more than two years, no one dared to make trouble with her because of Evie's presence, who accompanied her every time class was over.

However, the two majors were different, so that their program

hours were different. They only met during free hours or breaks. Even so, no one bullied or insulted Chleo.

Now Ashley decided to show up and confront her head-on. Well,

her way of engaging Chleo was quite cowardly. Ashley had four gang members kidnap her and took her to this rarely visited place where people rarely visited.

Chleo wouldn't be able to do anything if they decided to teach her

a lesson in this place. Neither could she protect herself in case the girls decided to harm her.

Chleo did feel scared, nervous, panicked, and she felt her whole body went tremble. She even could barely hold her quivering body but hid it well because she had confidence in her guards.

She had prepared everything Ashley had in store for her, yet that girl admitted that she deliberately created a video to ruin her image?

"That's because I envy you," added Ashley, breaking Chleo's thoughts. "You're just an ordinary girl, but why did you get what I couldn't? Evangeline Bernz is willing to be your friend. The senior I adored since I entered this campus was also after you. Then there are still many young men who approach you. I just don't get it. What do you have that I don't have? That's why I want to kick you out of this place."

Chleo became more alert. Why is Ashley so honest and open

like this? Does she want to kill her right now? Knowing that Ashley couldn't kick her off-campus, so she tried to wipe her off the face of the earth?

Isn't that always happen to the main character in the novel she read? There was always a plot like this.

The female antagonist character would get rid of the female lead by any means. Even she had to use extreme methods—one of them by killing the female lead.

Will she have the same fate as the main character in the novel he

reads? But she's not the main character, and this is not a novel!

Chleo quickly shook off this negative thought. She swore she

would stop reading novels after this… well, she immediately broke her oath as soon as she saw a new chapter from her favorite author in a web novel.

"No matter what you do, I will not leave here. I will continue my

studies here." Chleo responded in a firm tone. She couldn't

show her weak side.

"Chleo, you misunderstood. I'm not telling you to resign. I

realized I had made a mistake. Do you believe in karma? I do, and I think I got it. Ever since I did bad things to you, the same bad things happened to me. I realized I shouldn't have done anything bad to you. Forgive me. Will you forgive me?"

Chleo froze in place with her mouth agape and an expression of

disbelief. Did she hear it right? Not only did Ashley admit her

mistake, but she also apologized to her?

If Ashley intended to apologize to her, couldn't she have

met her in person? She didn't need to be dragged here, and it made her think ridiculous thoughts!

What an insincere apology!

Of course, Chleo wouldn't allow herself to nag. She had to make the

most of this friendly atmosphere. If Ashley were nice to her, then

automatically, the other kids who were jealous of her wouldn't bother her anymore. That way, she could spend the next two semesters in peace.

"Okay. I forgive you. I hope you won't do it again."

"Thanks. But I still feel sad."

What is her business, whether Ashley felt sad or not? But Chleo decided to behave. After all, she could use Ashley so she could study here in peace.

"Why do you feel sad? Haven't I forgiven you?"

"Frankly speaking... Chloe, my laptop is broken because someone planted a virus on it. Do you have any acquaintances who can fix my laptop?"

"..." Chleo knew the expert who could help her, but... she would reveal it. It was like telling Ashley who her identity is. "Sorry. I know no one. You do realize that I'm just an ordinary girl, right. I don't have that kind of acquaintance in this place." please

note, 'This place.' She did know an expert in this field somewhere else.

"Ah, that's too bad. I thought if I apologized nicely, I could get my data back. If I don't get it, why am I here in the first place?"

"..." This girl must have gone mad! Chleo thought. What's the deal with her broken laptop with her apologizing to Chleo? Does that mean if Ashley's laptop data doesn't come back, Ashley won't be as friendly as before?

Chleo was naive and innocent, but she wasn't stupid.

She was sharp to the hidden intentions of everyone who wants to approach her. Maybe because she was used to being in an environment full of 'leechers,' she couldn't help but learn how to tell the difference between people with ulterior motives and people who genuinely wanted to be friends with her.

And this time, Chleo's instincts told her that Ashley was testing her.

Testing Chleo's true identity. The clue is this expert.

If Chleo said yes to Ashley's question, then Ashley would get a

hint that Chleo was not an ordinary girl she could bully. But if Chleo didn't satisfy Ashley's question, this crazy girl might just make things worse and wouldn't let her study on this campus in peace.

Ugh! What should he do? She had no idea how to deal with a situation like this.

Before she found a solution, something already answered her, and she heard the girls' scream in disgust.

"Aaaah!!"

"Ewwwww!!"
