Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chleo's pair of brown eyes widened in disbelief at what she saw. Many small birds were attacking Ashley and her gang. The birds also splashed them with white thingy making Chleo frown with disgust.

Chleo wanted to move from her spot. At least she tried to avoid the attack of this flock of birds. But she's been surrounded by Ashley's gang of girls who are now busy chasing away the countless birds.

Where did these birds come from? Chleo couldn't understand why so many birds had appeared in this place at such an inopportune time.

The weirdest thing was, not a single bird approached Chleo. It was as if Chleo had never been there or the birds had not seen Chleo.

Very weird.

"Damn it! My whole body stinks."

"Eww… My hair is getting dirty."

Chleo just stared at the mysterious scene. She didn't know whether she wanted to laugh or sympathize with them. At least for now, Ashley forgot about her intention to interrogate Chleo because she was too panicked to think about her appearance.

Not long after, they all quickly ran through the door leading into the building. They all forgot about Chleo's existence for a while.

Seeing that there were no more targets to attack, the birds flew away until they were out of sight.

"What a strange bird. Why do I feel they are helping me?" that's impossible, right—Added Chleo in her heart.

Little did she know, the white eagle was the one who ordered the birds to save her.

Chleo went down and continued her plan to hand over her assignment book.

After searching through each class, she finally found the teaching assistant she was looking for.

"Bruce!" called Chleo rather loudly because the person she was calling was walking with his back to her.

Bruce, one of the campus idols and a handsome teaching assistant, turned around when he heard his name being called. Bruce had emerald green eyes and highly bright brown hair. He was also friendly to anyone he meets, so it's no wonder he's become one of the idols of this campus.

A wide smile graced his face when he saw Chleo walking towards him.

"I've been looking for you."

"You can call me, you know," Bruce replied jokingly.

"I will if you don't change your number… again!" Chleo grunted.

"Haha, sorry. So this is it?"

"Yes." Chleo enthusiastically handed the book to the young man.

Bruce opened her workbook and checked her design work with a look of admiration.

"Wow, everything is remarkable. Professor Rayden would love it. I'll give it to him this evening."

"Thank you. By the way, why do you change your number so often, huh? Aren't you afraid that Professor Rayden will fire you as his assistant?"

"Of course not. I have two numbers. One for the girls and the other specifically for the professor. This way, I can avoid being chased by the girls by throwing away my old number."

"Ckckckck. What a playboy! Be careful if you fall in love with a girl. She will break your heart."

Bruce shrugged nonchalantly. "I'll think about it later. But maybe I'll consider it if you want to be my girlfriend." teased Bruce with his mischievous look.

Chleo tapped her chin with her finger as if she was thinking, "Hm… maybe I can consider it if Evie agrees."

"Haish!" there was a groan from Bruce. "No need to consider then. Your friend will split me in two if she sees me approaching you."

Chleo burst out laughing at that. "Okay, I'll go now. See you later."

Bruce laughed along with Chleo then continued his steps towards the class he would be mentoring. As he walked, he was still looking at Chleo's handiwork.

As a man, then he would be lying if he said he had no feelings for Chleo. Chleo was a cute girl who was beautiful and had a unique and likable character. Almost all the young men who have ever met Chleo skipped a beat when interacting with the girl.

But for Bruce, he felt Chleo could be happier if the girl met someone who truly loved her with all his heart. Because Bruce realized he could never tie his heart to just one woman.

Well, he admits. He's an asshole.

Chleo walked out of campus to the cafe where Max was waiting for her. At first, she thought it would only take her about ten to fifteen minutes to deliver her assignment. But because of Ashley's incident earlier, she had now made Max wait for her arrival for more than half an hour.

The closer she walked to the cafe, the faster her heartbeat.

This feeling again! Why did she pound like this every time she met Dietrich's best friend? What got into her?

Chleo opened the cafe door causing the sound of the bell above the door. The bell would ring every time the door was opened and closed, so the cafe staff would instantly know visitors are coming in and out.

Chleo stared around until she saw the young man who was now sipping his coffee.

Maximillian sat in the corner by the glass window with his legs crossed elegantly. The way he holds the coffee also looks very classy, like a British nobleman she has ever seen in a movie.

The corner of the man's face, those blue eyes, the well-defined jaw, and that masculine look...

Ah, why her heart couldn't calm down?

Chleo didn't budge from her place and chose to enjoy the gorgeous spectacle. No. She didn't dare to approach the man. Suddenly she became a coward and felt she did not deserve to stand next to the young man.

But... sooner or later, she had to get to him. Didn't the man say he'd wait for her to finish? Why was he waiting anyway? Why is their situation like lovers?

Suddenly Maximillian turned his gaze towards her, making Chleo's heart jump out of its place.

She was still not ready to face the young man.

Without any preparation, the young man gave a rather charming smile that made her heart drummed wildly. Seeing the young man's smile, it felt like she wanted to fly into the sky. She even almost felt a pair of wings on her back that was ready to take her away.

A second later, Chleo felt like she could see a million stars surrounding them. She even noticed that Max's face looked so radiant as if there was a spotlight shining on it.

Wait! Why was she seeing things Evie had described to her the other day?

Could it be....?

She... Has she fallen in love? And the person she loves is Maximillian?
