A woman in her thirties interviewed Chleo. The woman looked elegant in feminine glasses and neat formal attire. Her expression was motherly and friendly, not intimidating like most other HRD.

"Good afternoon Miss West. Are you lost when you find this place?"

"No. This place is quite easy to find," replied Chleo while smiling.

How is it not hard to find this place? It was Max who had escorted her here and directly stopped in front of this building.

"That's good. My name is Emily Harvey. Please, sit."

After shaking hands with each other, Chleo followed Emily's direction and sat across from her.

At first, they made small talk for a while to ease Chleo's tension. After all, this was her first official interview. Inevitably Chleo was very nervous. But Emily had her own charisma, which made Chleo less anxious and felt at ease with her.

Chleo didn't know what to say. At this moment, her heart was filled with a sense of extraordinary joy. Her smile widened, and her face brightened again.

Once again, Chleo thanked the older woman, but this time in an excited tone that made Emily smile with joy.

"That child has the power to influence other people's feelings." was the older woman's opinion regarding the new intern.

Chleo headed straight for the elevator and went down to the cafe where Max and Diego were waiting for her. The two guys were still talking to each other until the elevator that Chleo was in opened.

Their seats were close enough to the elevator doors, so Max and Diego could immediately see who was going in and out of the elevator.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Chleo could immediately see the two men, and her brown eyes met Max's blue eyes.

Max propped his chin on his hands, elbows resting on the table. He was fascinated by Chleo's current appearance. The girl seemed to be doing a catwalk when the elevator door opened and walked through the elevator door.

'How beautiful.' he praised in his heart.

"I know my sister is beautiful."

Max choked awkwardly at Diego's sudden voice. For a moment, he forgot Diego's presence next to him. He was completely unaware that he had just voiced his inner praise.

Surprisingly Max wasn't scared at all, nor was he challenging. On the contrary, he smiled a distinctive smile that made Diego speechless.

Usually, when Diego threatened a guy, that person would either be scared or angry. Some might even challenge him back. But this one was not offended nor furious. That older man even looks proud?

Diego shook his head.

"How is the result?"

"I was accepted. I will work here starting Monday!" Chleo couldn't hide her joy anymore and exclaimed with a beaming face.

"Then, you should treat me to a good meal?"

"Okay. Let's grab some food. My treat."

Max laughed at Chleo's enthusiastic behavior. Then they had lunch together. Chleo was surprised by her brother, who was no longer being cynical. But she didn't care about it. After all, she was happy if her brother could get on well with Max.

After having lunch together, Diego invited the two of them to come to the arcade games for teenagers.

Well, he is still a teenager and loves to play. Chleo, who also used to love playing games, complied but doubted whether Max would mind. Chleo didn't know how old Max was now, and she hadn't had time to ask. But at least the young man must be five years above her.

Little did she know, their age gap was much more than she thought as Max was almost a century age now.

Unexpectedly, Max was willing to follow them and enter the shooting range. They put in a coin, and then they started shooting the ugly zombies that were moving inside the big monitor.

The two young men were very dexterous in playing with their guns. Their scores followed each other.

"Wow, this is the first time I've met someone who can compete with me." Diego chuckled. Now his justifications were all broken, and he has treated Max like a friend.

Chleo giggled at the sudden change in Diego's demeanor.

"Chleo, do you want to play it?" Max offered Chleo to take his turn after finishing three rounds of play.

"No. I'm not very good at playing this one."

"Okay, then."

Chleo took a black toy gun that was large enough in both her palms. She tried to aim, press whatever she could find, but she still didn't know how the game worked.
