Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star
Chapter 93 - Ch. 93 Dancing Fountain
Along with Diego and Chleo, Max arrived at the venue precisely fifteen minutes before the show started. The three of them directly joined the crowd of people who also wanted to see the fountain show.
The place throughout was very packed with people. There were also some tourists who come specifically to see this event which was only held at the beginning of winter.
At the beginning of each season, this fountain area would present a dancing fountain with music-themed according to the season. The event only lasted for ten days, and coincidentally today was the first day, so the number of spectators who came was many times more than usual.
Chleo loved festive and hived activities like this and was excited to see the show. However, she remembered that Max told her that he didn't like crowds. It made her worried, and she glanced at the man who seemed interested in something circulating them.
But Chleo didn't notice the intrigued look on his face. Instead, she thought that Max glanced around to find a quieter spot.
Why would that guy bring them here if he doesn't like crowded places?
"Max, are you okay?"
Max shifted his eyes to see Chleo with a questioning look. "Hmm? I'm fine. Why?"
"Didn't you say you don't like crowds? What if you turn pale again from being too crowded."
Max smiled at Chleo's typical worried tone. This girl looked even more appealing as her eyes flashed a look of concern.
"I don't like crowds, but that doesn't mean I'll get sick of standing in a crowd like this." she looked so cute though in believing he would get sick, just get surrounding by the crowd. Noted Max.
"Are you sure?"
"Hmm. I'm sure. Besides…" Max lowered his head a bit, so his gaze was level with Chleo's. Their height difference was far enough that Chleo had to keep her head up every time she spoke to him at close range.
"Besides?" A blush appeared on her cheeks when she realized that Max's face was so close to hers.
"I want to see you laugh. If you could laugh just to see the show here, I'm more than be willing to stand here."
Chleo felt her heart would explode at any moment when she was with this man. Who would have thought that Maximillian, whom she thought was a quiet person, was very good at talking sweet?
"Hey, let's get closer. The show already starts." Diego exclaimed, who completely ignored the spark of romance between the two and immediately grabbed his sister's hand to get closer to the event.
As soon as Chleo got a little closer to the front, the sound of winter-themed classical music began to sound. The sparkling laser of beautiful lights started to dance beautifully, followed by a jet of water from a hemispherical dome.
Everyone was stunned to see the beauty of the dancing fountain. After a while, some shocking screams around the audience were heard. It turned out they had been splashed by water from the street, which was completely unexpected. The next second, the area where Chleo stood, also experienced the same thing that made some of the audience wet.
The cheerful mood and blaring laughter spread quickly, and instantly Chleo cupped her hands to catch the water and threw it at Diego. Diego laughed, then did the same but threw it at Max.
They splashed and chased each other through the crowd who were doing the same thing to their friends or family.
It was now December, indicating that winter has arrived and the weather around was freezing. Even so, everyone who came seemed so excited to play in the water, completely ignoring the cold temperature that could freeze their bodies.
After being satisfied playing, the three headed to the towel seller's stall. Only at this dancing fountain event were there towel stalls selling along the road. It was no longer a secret that many visitors would get wet from watching the dancing fountain.
Thus, some of them already brought second clothes or towels from their home. Some even wore a raincoat!
Max gave one towel to Diego then another to Chleo. Before he dried his own hair, he helped dry Chleo's hair gently, making the girl's heart beat wildly again.
Diego was still engrossed in wiping his hair in a fast motion because he was already freezing and wanted to go home soon. But instead, he saw his sister's endless intimacy with the blue-eyed guy.
Now he feels he has officially become limelight for the lovebirds.
'I won't tag along next time.' Diego would remind himself.

"Hmm♪ hmm♪ lalala♪ lalala♪"
It's been almost half an hour a cheerful hum was heard inside the house, making Diego unable to concentrate on his online game. Ever since Max brought them home a while ago, his sister had been humming like this. It seemed that this time Chleo was really in love.
Now Diego realized it. Chleo didn't see Alexis as a man at all, but only as a brother. From the past until now, Chleo's treatment of Alexis was almost the same as their cousins. Chleo only saw Alexis as a friend or brother, but no more than that.
How could he think Chleo had special feelings for Alexis before this?
Diego turned his attention back to his online game when a call notification popped up on his smartphone. Reluctantly Diego walked in looking for a 'black orb' to connect to his smartphone.
The black orb was a device created by Stanley that was now sold at a subsidiary of the Alvianc group. The black orb was like a pitch-black ball with a camera hole and an image reflection hole.
The scene captured on the black orb camera on the other side would appear if it were connected. If the caller was using a regular phone camera, they could only see his face, and the scenery captured by the camera was very limited.
But by using the black orb, they could see the whole body and their surroundings if the black orb has been connected to a home CCTV camera.
"Hi, mom. How are you? Have you come back from Bali yet?" asked Diego as soon as the black orb lit up and his beloved mother's whole figure appeared in the middle of the room.
"We will go home the day after tomorrow. Where have you been? I've been calling you guys since this morning, but no connection at all. It must be 10 o'clock there, right? Have you eaten? Are you guys healthy? Why didn't your sister turn on her phone?"
Diego chuckled as he glanced at his sister, still humming cheerfully on the balcony outside while enjoying the cold breeze. Unfortunately, this house is not equipped with CCTV cameras, so Diego couldn't show his mother, the whole room other than turning the black ball towards Chleo.
"Oh my gosh! What's wrong with your sister? Why is she dancing like that?"
At this moment, Chleo was moving her legs like a casual dance while closing her eyes and humming happily. Chleo didn't care about her surroundings at all and left her phone in the room.
That was why she had no idea her mother had called her several times since she came home. Chleo didn't even notice Diego and their mother talking to each other in the living room because Chleo was standing on the outside balcony while singing loudly.
"I think she's elated."
"Why? What is it? What happened?" the mother could no longer contain her curiosity.
Diego was itching to tell everything he knew. But considering that his mother would definitely blurt it to her husband, and their super protective father would undoubtedly investigate Max's background and then tighten Chleo's surveillance, Diego decided not to tell her. He would let Chleo let the parents know.
"Sis, mama is calling for you."
Chleo was awakened from her world and immediately greeted her mother with a bright face full of happiness.
"Mama! Have you returned from Bali?"
Cathy laughed, seeing the endless happiness on her daughter's face. It's rare to see her daughter look so happy that she's overly pleased like this because Chleo's life was already contented, and all her needs have been met.
Therefore, it was so rare to see Chleo's face beaming in delight that her cheeks are flushed red, adding to the level of her appeal. Any young man would immediately fall in love with her eldest daughter and want to protect that smile.
"We'll be back the day after tomorrow. How about you guys? When will you come home? If my memory serves my right, you will have a holiday soon, won't you?"
"Mama, guess what? I'm accepted as an intern here for three weeks. After that, there will be a one-week vacation. Only then will I go home."
"You got the job? How could that be?" so... is this the reason her daughter is thrilled?
"Oh, I almost forgot. Mama, why did papa impose a company-wide ban in Washington? Does this mean he broke his promise? I thought he wouldn't meddle my life in here."
"…" Oops.
